The Carrizzo wedding on March 26 2022 was fantastic. The food both at cocktail hour, reception and Venetian table was beyond words. The amount of food choices, the presentations were artistic. The service was excellent. Thank you.
I would have given it a 5 star for the food and the location, but beware of Joe S. Very moody and extremely unprofessional. We reserved the venue 2 years ago during the summer of 2020 when Covid was bad. My daughter and fiance came from New Orleans. We had Denisia as a sales person and she promised us the moon.There were 3 menus at the time and we ordered the Del Rey , it was the one in the middle We were promised the pier for the ceremony ,the pictures and the outside pit area for Cocktail hour because we were the first to book the June 25 wedding for 2022 (we also gave them a hefty down payment). Fast forward to a year later (2021 when my daughter visits again); the Del Rey menu no longer exists, and Denisia isnt doing sales. We now need to change the menu for an additional cost. Fast forward to Spring 2022. Joe now tells the bride that she has to pay every staff member additional gratuity , totalling over $3000, when we were assured that the entire gratuity was tacked onto the bill. The venue received the entire balance of the payment for the wedding in April. Some of the money should have been held until the final reception. Joe rushed us off the pier to accommodate the other bridal party (we had the ceremony there for Gods sake ) and he then gave the other party the fire pit area for the cocktail hour. The waitress claimed not to know what espresso coffee was, when we asked for it. Come on!!! We are a big Sicilian- Italian family and the groom has a big Irish family. Joe wouldnt allow us to take pictures outdoors despite the gorgeous view. He treated our photographer and the vendors badly and they complained to the bride and groom about him. We have attorneys in the family- I wish we had them review the entire contact and put everything that was verbally promised on it. Have the venue write everything clearly on the contract , and get someone other than Joe S to host.
What an amazing place! First visit. On the water between Bridges! Great views. Food was great. Buffet outstanding. Dinner artfully presented.

Pretty catering hall, wonderful for weddings and receptions! My friend had a wedding here and the place is beautiful. Food is standard fare. When I went the couple did not want alcohol, so Im not sure if the place serves alcohol. Place is wheelchair accessible, although the outdoor patio may be difficult to reach in a wheelchair.
My only complaint for this beautiful venue would be the miserable bartenders. I and others found them to be unfriendly and annoyed that they had to be there. I presented a $5 tip to one of the grumps who never said thank you or anything else.
This is one of those places. That your non-Bronx friends dont really believe exists. Especially in the Bronx. Yet it does and I believe that if youre from here and you can afford it that you should maybe get married here. The view is amazing, the venue is amazing. I would hope that the food is also amazing but even if it wasnt Im pretty sure that youd get over it just due to the view
Awesome place and even better if you get a beautiful weather day. They outdoor areas are where it’s at! I met the owner during our party and he was awesome. I have never been priori to this visit and I definitely recommend this place. It’s also super easy to get to Long Island or queens because you are so close to the bridge. Great place overall and super clean.

Wow, exquisite food, impeccable service, mouth dropping venue and stately gardens which are a photographers dream.I went for a wedding and hope somebody else invites me there again.
This is traditionally an event venue. I have never been here for an event but my wife has and she thought highly of it.They have outdoor dining on the water, Thursday through Saturday, by reservation (in light of COVID-19). It was amazing. Food was great, the staff as warm and welcoming as could be, and the view incredible. This is offered via prix fixe and is very reasonably priced.

The place was gorgeous with an amazing exterior garden. Lovely place to have a wedding or a party at. The food was also pretty good along with the drinks. Highly recommend this place if you want to do something in the throggs neck area. The wedding and reception were both beautifully decorated. Good job guys.
My son had his senior prom two weeks ago there and he said it was amazing and the views are breath taking.
We had our wedding here and this place is GOLD. Joe Savino and the entire staff are absolutely the best! They helped make our big day better than we could have expected and I literally hav ZERO complaints about anything. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any event. People are still talking about how great the food was and how beautiful the space is. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
We had our company Christmas party here, food wasnt all that but the views and photo opportunities are great...Place is beautiful. But in their defense about the food they probably didnt have much to work with lol..
Beautiful location, especially at night with the city in the background. Food here was good, service is great too. I had my prom here when I was in high school and now a friend from high school got married here. They even gave us water, coffee and warm cookies on our way out.

This catering hall caters both kosher and non-kosher events. Its located in the Bronx near the Throgs Neck Bridge. This is one of the ways this hall stands out from other party venues because wedding ceremonies and other events are particularly beautiful with the lights of the City and of the bridges behind you. Even if you dont do the affair outside, which I certainly wouldnt recommend this time of year, you can take pictures outside . Especially during sun set , the hall and the pictures taken are really special.Marina Del Rey is quite expensive; there are lots of fees in addition to the main charge. However, they tell you in advance what they will be and dont spring them at you on the day of the affair like a lot of halls do.
They have nice views outside Specially for Wedding‘s party the food was good but too much salt 😅 overall it’s great
I came to visit this venue with my fiance back in late december and I was extremely disappointed by how the owner was constantly bashing other venues instead of upselling this place. The majority of the conversation was how other venues werent as good as marina, that is a horrible business practice and completely turned us off, which is ultimately why we did not choose this place. Instead of talking about what marina could provide for us it was a conversation on how other venues - surf club, glen island, vip, villa barone- could not provide as much as marina could, without getting into details. I hope the owner reads this and rethinks at how he approaches selling this place. The grounds are beautiful though.
Came here for a wedding and the venue was great. Plenty of parking available, so you dont need to worry about valet. Food was great. Staff was courteous. Had a great time!
Food for my friends wedding was fabulous and was more than plentiful.Dance floor was amazing the ambiance is breathtaking!Face painters was on point.Fireworks were terrific!Excellent views.Food was on point even when reheated!Thats right they actually wrap it up for you if you have to make an early departure!
My wedding day (8/7/21) was so beautiful at the Marina Del Rey-Every time I think of it, it leaves me speechless because it was absolutely perfect. From day 1, Joe Savino and his team were amazing and I could not have asked for a better venue to help bring my wedding dreams to life. The Marina del Rey is stunning, but the food is phenomenal and the presentation of the cocktail hour and Viennese hour is extraordinary(-now, 3 weeks later, my wedding guests are STILL talking about about impressive it was). Everyone said my wedding at the Marina Del Rey set the bar very high and no one will ever reach that level of perfection. My bridal attendant Denise, was the most amazing sidekick to have on my wedding day. She was there for anything I could ask for and I could not imagine how I would have got through the reception without her! My parents had their wedding with Joe Savino at the Marina Del Rey 39 years ago and it was outstanding then and lived up to its spectacular reputation today! I wish I could relive this day at this amazing venue-but it left me with memories for a lifetime!

Fantastic place for parties, celebrations, weddings or prom. The location is convenient and there is valet parking. The view of the water is spectacular. They have a beautiful gazebo and garden to take pictures. The food is delicious and the service is great. You will definitely enjoy your experience here.

If youre looking for a venue that will treat you and your guests with better than 5 star service then Marina Del Rey is the place for you. My husband and I had our daughters wedding on 10/30/21 and it was absolutely beautiful! From the first time we met with Tori and Joe Orzo until the wedding day we were not disappointed. They were so helpful and accommodating with everything we wanted. Tori went over the whole night step by step to make sure nothing was left out. She was such a pleasure to work with. Joe was outstanding. He was our Matired at our wedding at MDR 28 years ago. His level of professionalism and the way he executed everything perfectly has not changed since then . We connected from our first visit and had the best laughs and conversations each time we met with him. Throughout the whole night we were treated as if we were family and our guests were also treated with the same superb hospitality. Denise, our bridal attendant, made sure my daughter along with us had everything we needed throughout the night. Her focus on making sure we were all happy was just amazing. Marina Del Rey inside and out is just stunning. The view is beautiful and the food is not only delicious but phenomenal. The presentation of the Cocktail hour and Venetian hour was extraordinary. The entire staff knows how to perfect a wedding. We didnt have to worry about a thing all night and Joe made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Its been a few days now and were still hearing how this was the best wedding theyve ever been to from our guests. Thank you to Tori, Denise, and the rest of the staff. We also cant forget Carl. It was so great to meet you and we appreciate all your help and enjoyed talking to you. But we would especially like to thank Joe Orzo. You are the best at what you do and we cant thank you enough for going above & beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our daughter had the wedding of her dreams! It was truly a spectacular night.

By far the BEST venue to have your wedding! When my husband and I got engaged, we knew that Marina del Rey was where we wanted to have our wedding. Aside from its well known gorgeous view and spectacular service, both of our parents got married here 30 years ago. Both of us wanted to share that with them. We worked with Joe Orzo throughout our whole planning process. Even though we planned a wedding through a pandemic, Joe was there along the way to assure us no matter what our day would be perfect! He is the best in the business and always goes above and beyond. Denise was my bridal attendant for the night and she was by our side making sure we taken care of! She made sure we had alone time as bride and groom during the cocktail hour and that was very special for us! If there is one thing that the Marina knows well, it is the food! From the cocktail hour, 3 pastas, multiple entrees and venetian hour, people are still talking about the food even months later. The Marina del Rey is the best of the best in the wedding industry. Russ and I could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family. June 26 2021

Wow! Is all i can think of when I think of Marina. Tori is the most amazing and kind woman to work with. With the pandemic we had to change our venue date and didnt know the restrictions until the week of. Tori was beyond accommodating and helpful. The ceremony and reception were beyond perfect and without a single hiccup. Denise and Joe went above and beyond too. It truly felt like it was family taking care of us. The food was amazing and people rave about the venue to us every time we see them. Best place for a wedding!
As a bride, Marina del Rey really made my day a dream come true. Joe Orzo, our maitre’d, was very attentive, patient, organized, helpful and is fantastic at keeping everyone calm. Anytime he saw that we were stressed out, he came to the rescue; our wedding ran so smoothly because of him and the staff at Marina del Rey. Joe does a fantastic job at making the night about the bride and groom and did not let anything get in the way of our happiness. Denise, the bridal attendant, was also phenomenal and made our day/night with her patience and kindness. We are so extremely grateful for them! They do not disappoint! Last but not least, the food is absolutely phenomenal!!
Went to a wedding here and had a great experience! Didn’t know such a place existed in the Bronx. Loved that there was parking. It’s by the waters, which makes it such a plus! Cocktail hour had delish apps! And the meal I had was also good! The staff are also quite friendly. Joe, who I think is the owner, was so charming! He offered to take pictures for my sister and I.

We were at the Marina Del Rey for a friend’s weekend wedding celebration. Words can’t describe the sublime experience of this place…magnificent, breath-taking, majestic, magical and scrumptious come to mind. The venue - gorgeous, the food - fantastic and the service - impeccable! The “Welcome to NY”cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the patio overlooking the East river and bridges were spectacular. Most notable were the lobster rolls, Tomahawk steaks, fish kabobs, and salad bar. The wedding celebration itself started with an extravagant cocktail hour and everyone was blown away with the ice sculptured seafood bar with fresh oysters, clams, king crab legs, and jumbo shrimps. The sushi bar, assorted cheeses, calamari, sesame orange chicken, roast piglet, and hot dog bar were delicious. There were so many more options, but we couldn’t try everything. Then the main event started with an energetic DJ introducing the beautiful bride and groom with music. We danced all through the night. The sit down dinner began with a trio of pasta, entree choices of surf and turf, Alaskan salmon, lamb chops, egg plant parmigiana, or vegan chef special. The evening concluded with everyone out on the patio with sparklers to send the couple off along with every option of dessert you could imagine. Unbelievable and unforgettable! We absolutely recommend this place for any event, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had our wedding here on 8/14/21. All we can say is WOW! Our guests loved the venue and outdoor scenery. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was perfect. Our banquet manager was Denasia and she is wonderful! We have been planning our wedding since 2019 and she did a great job helping us every step of the way. Joe, our Maitr’D was awesome and made sure everyone felt welcomed and everything was in order that day. Joe and his team were super awesome and we were well taken care of on our special day. Our bridal assistant Tanya was freakin amazing! She made sure we had all and anything we needed from the start of our cocktail hour to the ending of our wedding night. The whole staff at Marina Del Rey was superb and we recommend this wedding venue to anyone! The views are breathtaking and we had the time of our lives. If we can relive that day we would. Thank you Marina Del Rey for hosting the most special day for us!!

Attended a wedding here on 9/25. Marina Del Rey is a gorgeous place inside and out! enjoyed cocktail hour with lots of food. Bartenders were great, poured every drink perfectly, and managed crowds well. The wedding was also nice, with a big dance room, and a big room for a big family! Some of the servers just may need reminding to ask first before they take any plates. At cocktail hour i wasnt finished and one of them took my plates! oops! I did notice as the night went on, they made sure to ask tho, so that is appreciative. Anyways, oh and not sure if this is an issue with the people who made the signs or what, but when it said pasta on the menu- the subtitle should have explained that the pasta was a medley of 3 pastas: Gnoochi, alfredo with mushrooms, and regular. Just so people know what it in front of them- i presumed that it was gonna be a big bowl of penne with sauce! Even explain the plated desserts and what they were as well! Overall Food was good at the wedding. Although, Someone should have checked on all their food because i didnt like my food(entree eggplant parm, too much cheese!), and luckily my aunt gave me some of her steak that she shared. I work in food service, so it is important to make sure that they like the food. I didnt go outside this time, but the views outside are amazing too! Maybe ill have my own wedding here when its time!(Also to add, been here 3 prior other times when i was a kid!) Awesome place!
Our wedding day on 7-17-21, was truly a beautiful and memorable day! The venue is gorgeous and elegant with breathtaking views of both bridges on the East River. The food was delicious from Cocktail hour, to dinner, to Venetian hour. Our guests are still raving about the food and hospitality! The staff and service is OUTSTANDING! Joe Savino, our dedicated Maitre’d, (and my parents, Mary & Charlie on 9-17-88!!) is AMAZING! Everything was set up exactly the way we imagined and he made sure the entire evening ran smoothly. My parents were right~ You are the best at what you do! Our bridal attendant, Tanya, was GREAT! Always smiling and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed the entire evening. We cannot thank the entire Marina del Rey team enough for not only making our dream wedding come true, but for making it worth the wait!!

My husband and I wen there by accident, the wedding we were attending was actually at Villa Barone! When I am exhausted I cant remember anything! We were greeted by the Valet who was very nice and funny! We walked into the lobby and were greeted by a lovely lady who checked our covid cards and were shown to a room where there was champagne. wine and lemon water and plain water. We walked around the premises and took videos and pictures of the beautiful views! We realized 20 minutes later when we asked when the cocktail hour was going to start as we hadnt seen anyone that we know come in! We were informed that there was no such wedding taking place at the place...how embarrassing! We drove over to the correct venue and everyone had a good laugh !

What a beautiful venue! We celebrated our friends wedding yesterday and wow, so gorgeous. The food was AMAZING. The bartenders memorized everyones drinks. The matre de was more than present, hands down 5 stars!!!!

Absolutely loved this venue. I got married in this place October 17, 2020. Couldn’t have had asked for a better experience. The owner of this place made us feel at home, He is the most nice person ever. him and The staff took great care of all the guests and followed Covid guidelines and no one were sick. Everything turned out much better than we had expected.
My husband and I had our wedding here on 06/05/21 and to say we were happy with Marina Del Rey was an understatement! From the beginning, Joe Savino was extremely helpful in planning the perfect wedding. After COVID-19 hit we were nervous about how our wedding would turn out. Then owner, Carl spoke to my husband and I every time we had questions and always left us feeling calm as the wedding day was approaching. As far as the service on the day of the wedding, we were AMAZED! The cocktail hour was never ending. Our guests were full before the party even started. During appetizers and dinner, staff including Joe came around with extra food for our guests to try. Our bridal attendant Denise was THE BEST! Every time my husband and I went to our table we had a brand new drink waiting for us and our glasses of water were always filled. Denise was there to help me with my dress and made sure everyone in my bridal party was having a good time. Any time we needed anything both Joe and Denise were there for us. Towards the end of the night we had our Viennese hour which was incredible! There were several stations with every kind of dessert you can think of. The owner Carl was even working the ice cream station!Everyone at Marina Del Rey made us feel like we were home. Our guests had a great time and most importantly the food was incredible. The service was unbeatable! If you are looking for a venue with amazing food, beautiful views, and incredible service I highly recommend this venue.Thank you Joe, Denise, Carl and everyone else for making our wedding amazing!! ❤️
One star for the valet crew. This twerp decided to attempt a joke and say the wedding we were attending was already over. We had been running late and were in the car for over 2 hours. I told him I wasn’t in the mood for jokes and he proceeded to be an absolute j3rkoff. Hire better staff. He had messy hair and his shirt barely fit him. He decided to continue his snide behavior when we picked up the car as well. I wouldn’t trust him with a mop.

Not sure if I was judged on the color of my skin or the casual way I dressed. I made an appointment to go see this hall for my wedding reception and did not make it past the door. The manager greeted me and the door and was very short with me because I had my 9 lb hypoallergenic maltese with me and said no dogs allowed. First he said we dont know if some people may be allergic then he stated it was because its a restaurant. He said very condescendingly do you take your dog to a restaurant last I checked I made an appointment to view an empty location not go out to eat. The offices are located right as you enter the door so Im not sure why I couldnt simple tie my puppy or hold him in my hand and honor my appointment.I unfortunately did not get the mangers name as he did not give me much room to even try to speak on my end. Ive went to a number a venues previously and no one gave me an issue with my pup being there at the time of the consultation. Please understand my rant is not because my dog could not go in, it was the manner in which the situation was handled, I felt like I was judged before I reached the door, like the manager did not even want to waste his time going over options with me because he may of assumed by my appearance that I could not afford it or something. I was living the pretty woman scene in real life.

Let me Tell you about Marina del Rey. We had our wedding there on June 3rd 2021. Everything was beautiful, Tori Grassi and Joe Orzo really did a good job with us. Everything came out better than expected. Rain was predicted on our wedding day, Joe had us have our wedding in the tent and it was still beautiful. Our bridal attendant Tanya was the bomb. Wedding food is usually nasty, but the food at my wedding was excellent every one loved it. I’m so happy we made the decision to book our wedding here. We were originally supposed to be married last year, but couldn’t due to the pandemic. Tori was very accommodating due to the circumstances and we appreciated that. Thank you all again for making our wedding day perfect.
We attended a communion on May 15th. We had a great time! Staff was so nice. The facilities were spotless and the food was delicious. It was nice to finally go out and talk with people and have a nice time!
I attended a wedding there on 8/12/21 and had a horrible experience. There was a power outage and the facility had no generator. Management took one hour to update the groom who then updated the guest. Additionally when guest ask to speak to the manager they sent the Maitre d’ as if we wanted to complain about the food. The bride was in tears. Thankfully we made it work. However management left us hanging, SHAME ON YOU******You epitomized every bride’s night mare on her wedding day with your poor response to the unexpected. So before you book this venue, make sure there is a stand by generator in case the power goes or you will be left hanging.

Our Wedding on May 7th, 2021 was truly the best day of our lives because of the Marina Del Rey wedding venue in The Bronx, NY. From the most delicious food weve ever had, to the nicest bridal attendant Denise, the most jaw dropping scenery for photos and overall set up of our room I could honestly say our dreams came true. So glad it opened up for dining outside , went there with 4 other couples whom also married in the Marina.Food and service the best period , looking out on to the water and the bridges and seeing Manhattan was gorgeous.
The Staff at Marina Del Rey were out of this world! The amount of parties I have planned have been numerous and I’ve never worked with a crew so amazing! They Catered to our every need and didn’t miss a beat. I could give the Marina Del Rey and their staff a million stars and that still wouldn’t be enough. We knew this was the place we were having our daughters communion the minute we walked inside. Joe Savino rocked it! The staff rocked it. They were incredible! The ambiance, the food , the Wait Staff, Bartenders, Our Captain, all outstanding. I know we will have parties here again in the future! Joe Savino worked with me and made us feel like anything could happen..he truly went above and beyond for us and that is an understatement. Every single want and need! Our Princesses Day was nothing short of amazing and she said it was the best day of her life! Thank you so much for everything you have done and I know will continue to do! Spectacular place with spectacular service. The outdoor boasts beautiful water views and the bridges. Plenty of room to have ceremony outside or inside. Main ballroom is mainly in glass which gives you the view of the water and outdoors. Food is great too. Bathrooms is a bit small for such a big place. They did some recent upgrades in the front with some nice seating area which definitely improves appearance. Overall great place for a wedding.

Due to the pandemic you would expect a business to be understanding of everyones circumstances. They did offer another date for our wedding but the problem was that there was no way to fulfill the amount of people we invited. There is no end in sight to this pandemic and they want to reschedule for the following year without the guarantee that they can accept the amount of people that I was paying for, for my wedding. Dont get me wrong the place is a dream and it is beautiful but I didnt pay for an outside wedding and my uncle who is supposed to walk me down the aisle wont be here because all the borders are closed. We had deaths in our families, we lost our jobs and we had a car accident. To say that this year is the worst year of our lives is an understatement. All we wanted was at least some of our down payment back. We wouldve cut our loses and this review wouldnt even be necessary. The amount of money wouldnt have even broke the bank on a place like this but greed is whats being served at Marina Del Rey. I honestly wish you much success because we are all going through it but a little sympathy would go a long way for your business. For future customers my advice is read that contract front and back as they try to make you sign it before even reading it. Make sure you understand what you are signing because even during a pandemic they wouldnt give you a penny back even if your life depended on it. But God bless though.
If I could give the Marina del Rey and their staff an infinite amount of stars, I would. From the moment we walked into the Marina del Rey, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Joe Orzo was incredible- he has a great personality (he treated us like his family!), has an endless amount of knowledge (30+ years in the business) and he truly went above and beyond for our every single want and need (AND rescheduled our wedding due to COVID without hesitation)!!! He made our wedding vision come to life, and we couldn’t be happier! Our Bridal Attendant, Denise was heaven sent and her attention to detail was nothing less than exceptional! Joe O , Joe S and Tori made us laugh more times than I can count and if that doesn’t say something about the staff I don’t know what does! We left feeling as though we gained family for life. All of our guests raved about the delicious food and gorgeous views. Put your trust in this venue- you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait for our future events at the Marina del Rey! I really dont think there is enough space here for me to write how amazing this place is!! My family has had 6 major affairs here and wont go anywhere else. Backdrop is breath taking (on the water between two bridges) the service is remarkable!! The food is so good there are no words to actually describe it. Joe & Tori put it all together and keep it all together. From start to finish.....AMAZING!!!!!

My wedding was on August 1st 2020@11 am , and let me tell you this place is beautiful, and even thou we have to move everything outside Due to covid , the services was amazing. Food was on point, the staffs were very professional. I am surely looking forward to celebrating my anniversary here!!!!!
I went here for a wedding, so I cant comment on pricing, but as a guest at the venue, I can say it was a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The view from the room we were in was the waterfront. It was a beautiful view as the sun went down that evening and the patio was a nice place to get some air. Not sure if the caterer was specific to the venue, but the food at the reception was incredible - some of the best food Ive had in NYC, period. Finally, the atmosphere and decor was very well kept and polished looking. Lots of crystal chandeliers and gold stuff and what not. I should also add the location is not really public transit accessible - if you are coming from more than a few blocks away, you really need a car (but they do valet).
I just had my wedding at Marina Del Rey on July 17, 2021.The venue was exceptionally beautiful.The food taste delicious and the staff were very accommodating.Last but not least Mr.Joe Savino co-ordinates my wedding to every last detail and I was extremely impressed.Thank you Mr.Savino and the amazing staff at this venue.
Marina Del Rey looks a little shady from the outside, but inside it is beautiful. We were in the main dining area. It is large and the view is amazing. The cocktail hour offered many choices and everything was great. The dinner was even better I had the salmon, which was excellent. I would highly recommend and I look forward to my next visit.
We just had our brothers wedding here last night and it was amazing!!!! From the service to the little details that we requested, Joe Orzo made it happen. The staff was fast and efficient and everyone just made the whole planning experience so pleasant. We wished the night was longer so we could party more here!

Recently had a prom here. The staff are very friendly, and helpful to boot. Food is okay (not very seasoned), though one thing that got me upset was that there were a lot of foods that were being served unlabeled. Anyone with a seafood or nut allergy has to go out of their way to ask the staff about the food. Which gets you an I honestly am not sure” or “I don’t know” Overall nice place to have an event, great for pictures but food should be better

I had my daughters wedding there 8/7/15. It was absolutely beautiful! Food is excellent, Staff is very Professional. Joe Savino went over and above to make everything perfect. Everyone is raving about the place. The view is gorgeous, too! We had 245 people that just loved it!! I would highly recommend this venue.
We celebrated our daughter’s Sweet 16 two weeks ago, and everything was perfect!!!! Tori was the best at helping us plan out the whole event, I cannot thank her enough. On August 4, my family & I attended a wedding at Marina Del Rey. We were blown away by the this place. Everything was all around PERFECT. The service, food, scenery was wonderful. Joe, the manager was on the scene throughout the night ensuring every detail was executed properly. I highly recommend this venue for any occasion.
This place is really nice. The food was really tasty and the view is amazing. We went to a wedding held here and as a guest, it was absolutely perfect. I dont know how much was planning from the bride and groom and how much was the venue but it was amazing.For sure you cant beat this view, its perfect! You cant believe youre in the Bronx. The only downfall is that their arent many hotels near by, the one the wedding stayed in was a residence inn, which was really nice, but in the medical center district.

The food and its presentation are good; and the portions acceptable.Capitalism is well at play here; as, it seems as though every employee has a hand out for you to pay extra for doing what they were already paid to do. We had our 2nd Gala at the beautiful Marina Del Rey last night!!! Over 500 guests, and each one walked out smiling. Joe Orzo could have not been more amazing, we had endless requests which he graciously accommodated. I received over 100 texts, e-mail and calls today, all saying what a beautiful affair! The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Dessert table was awesome and fresh. Entire Hall spotless, staff and bartenders friendly and attentive. It doesn’t get better than the Marina Del Rey!!! Thank you Joe!! Can’t wait to plan all our affairs with you!

Not your over the top dream wedding venue but a very nice alternative. Parking, nice interior, water in the back, a place to walk on the water, you can have the ceremony right by the water, ample parking space(in lot and on the street), affordable basic food package, nice customer service. Its definitely a place to consider! I would recommend it.
Our kids’ wedding was exactly as promised. Every detail was on the money. Great food, Joe O. is one great event director, servers were super attentive. Did I mention the food was great and somehow it is all served at the same time. Tori took care of every detail and took all the worry out.Thanks to all the people at MDR. It was a memorable night!!
Attended an affair on a beautiful spring Saturday afternoon and the views were breathtaking. Overall, the staff was attentive: our parking attendants were extremely friendly and servers were professional. This was a large party but wait times were very minimal. I enjoyed my experience.

Marina Del Rey has been been providing a venue for all kinds of occasions for many years. The key to their success is not just a beautiful location overlooking the water and the bridge, but also that from the food to the layout to the service personnel, they dont well!The cocktail hour is great: carving station, meatballs, fruit and cheese, shrimp, salads: I cannot name them all.And then comes the meal!Prime rib is great but shrimp, chicken and pasta are prepared with the same care.If you can still walk, save room for desserts.
My nieces high school had a Mother/daughter event at Marina del Rey. It was a lovely venue overlooking the water. The food was buffet-style and served hot! The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were multiple rooms in the venue to accommodate different crowds. They had fresh cookies and water available near the hostess desk. Valet parking was available.
Its beautiful. I went to a wedding there and it was real nice. The scenery by the water is lovely and the dining area was very clean. The workers were all very well mannered and helpful

Very nice place, I went for a Retirement party. The view was nice. The bathroom is clean. The food was good. It can be a very nice place for a wedding or birthday party especially in the summer because its near the water.
Only thing I can say the venue was nice but the service received was horrible. We had a Xmas event and everyone went home so disappointed. The food was cold and some of the items offered in the menu where never taken out. We paid extra for top shelf liquor and all that was given were water down drinks with a lot of ice. You couldn’t get more then one drink per person, I asked for water and they told me they didn’t have anymore. The heat lamps outside were turned off or broken and those trying to smoke a cigar were freezing outside. Such a waste of money. Make sure when you book an event you really look at all that is offering in the contract and make sure you get what you payed for.

The waiter we had was very rude. Bald guy with a gut. He kept making snide remarks about how long we were taking to eat, or about how we kept moving the placement of our dining utensils. Bizarre. Otherwise, the venue was gorgeous.

This is review is strictly for their customer service-After reviewing the beautiful photos I called 6 months ahead of the date I wanted for my wedding and explained the details to the receptionist who then gave me the number of their caterer/banquet hall organizer Avi. As soon as I told this man I was expecting 100-150 people at my reception he literally LAUGHED at me before stating they had a 400 person minimum which the receptionist did not disclose by the way. He had a completely elitist attitude as if though the tens of thousands I was willing to pay for my wedding was beneath him. Awful customer service, I recommend you go somewhere where they appreciate your business. FYI, I ended up booking at anotherMuch nicer venue with a waterfront view called Swan Club that was very cordial and appreciaive of our business. The fact that they were also affordable was just the icing on the cake!

Very nice place ... A little off the beaten path is you are coming from New Jersey or South. Service impeccable, food was a 7 or 8 out of 10. The event we attended had Venetian hour, which I would rate 10 out of 10 for the quantity and variety of items but only a 4 out of 20 for the quality of the desserts.
Great views, great staff and solid choice for your wedding or other event. There has been talk of closure at the end of the summer and people noted the lack of capital expenditures that the owners have put in, but honestly Ive been there twice in the last two years and thought everything was excellent

One thing is for sure Its worth it. The live band was awesome.What about the food?They gave delisious 7 course meal and top shelf drinks. To top it off, in the end, they gave breakfast. Wow.The place is beautiful and the staff were professional, courtious and over all nice.Why I didnt give it a 5 🌟 you ask? It was the sitting. We got a table that suppose to sit 12 people comfortable. It was not so. It was uncomfortable, cramped near the wall with not enough room to back up. We had to request a smaller table for the kids because we did not fit. So they got us 1/2 table and put it against the wall that only 3 kids were able to fit. That worked for eating purposes, however. It was still to tight for us to get around.In conclusion, we recommend it. You, your family and friends will have a great time.Next time we will request a table for 10 people and away from the wall.☺
We were at the Lospoto Wedding, Sept 30, 2018. The venue is absolutely beautiful, The view is absolutely beautiful, The staff were so kind and accommodating. The Maitre D, Joe Savino, Capt Pat, Mike at the Bar, Paulie whos been there 42 yrs, and our waitress Brii (Briana C).. Every one of these people offered exemplary service. A friendly smile, A kind word, They made us laugh. The Wedding ceremony was beautiful(outside on the terrace with an amazing view of both the Throgs Neck Bridge and the White Stone. Cocktail hour Had delicious food, From a carving station, Salads, eggplant, a seafood station, Fruits, Vegetables, Your name it was there. We were never rushed. The main dining room was lovely. omg... This place is so clean and so beautiful.The staff was outstanding! They came back around and offered people seconds, My husband has said it was the best Steak he had ever had, everybody the table seemed very pleased with their meal. There were 3 choices but I asked for special vegetarian pasta, And they were glad to oblige. Then the Viennese hour, Outside in the garden with a fire pit, Couches under the starlit sky, Every Delicious Italian pastry, An amazing chocolate fountain, Ice cream, Cappuccino, Assorted cakes and cookies.. And then they Gave to go containers if you wanted to bring some dessert home.. This place is truly a hidden gem, With delicious food, Truly courteous staff, Gorgeous ambiance and views. Marina Del Rey deserves more than a 5 star rating. My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago, and from beginning to end, everything was done first class. For booking, we dealt with Joe Savino who was amazing. He worked with us on every single detail, put together a beautiful menu, and really took the time to make sure our special day would be perfect. Our wedding was beyond perfect. The staff here is AMAZING. They take pride in every single one of their events. Joe Orzo was with us on the wedding day and went above and beyond for not only us and the bridal party but for all of our guests as well. He was on top of everything and made sure the day ran smoothly. Joe Orzo and Joe Savino deserve all the recognition for making our wedding day so beyond beautiful. Thank you both for all of your hard work, care and dedication- we could not have been happier with our wedding!! You both are the BEST :)
Beautiful hall. A little short on parking but not an issue because there is a city parking lot 2 blocks up from the hall with a short 3 min walk to the location. Might even be easier than parking with valet and then waiting 10 min for them to bring your car.
Beautiful location, stunning views, a lot of emphasis on the decor and grandiose. The food is good, but not great. The service is a young bunch in suits giving it their best effort. Big parking lot, friendly staff.

Very beautiful place. Has different halls to cater to different events and parties could be happening at the same time and you wouldnt even know (my cousin got married here and there was another event going on at the same time). The food is delicious and the view overlooks the East River.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at the Marina del Rey this Saturday. There are no words to describe the excellence and professionalism of everyone at the Marina del Rey. EVERYONE treated us like family throughout the entire planning experience and the of course, during our reception. Our expectations were blown away when we saw all of our details come to life, thanks to the all of the hardworking staff. None of this would have been possible with Tori Grassi helping me and answering all of my questions leading up to the reception, and of course Joe Orzo for his hard work and courteous care during the reception. A very special thanks to my bridal attendant Tanya who helped me out all night both physically and mentally. People are still reaching out to tell me what an awesome event we had, and how delicious the food was both during cocktail hour and dinner, which nowadays is rare. I’ve always loved the Marina del Rey, but now they hold a very special place in my heart.
Decor inside was very nice. View was stunning. Food was pretty good. Not amazing but good. The staff needs work. The lady at the bar was miserable. Told her what I wanted and while she poured my drink she complained to her co worker about being on bar. Gave me my drink I said thank you and she didn’t even look at me. Just kept complaining to her co workers. Wife went up came back and said man what a peach that one was lol. Lady was older with gray hair up in a pony tail.Then my niece requested just plain pene pasta with butter. When it came out my daughter asked for the same. I asked the waitress and she went to the back then came back and said there is no more. So who ever runs the back just said no or the cook told her no. Either way my daughter was not happy. We ended up splitting the pene with my niece and made her happy.Here’s the thing. When you go to a wedding you want to feel accommodated. Not expecting the world. Just good service. It was little things like that through the night that just sucked. If this was my business I’d want these issues to be addressed so that guests do not have the same experience going forward. Overall it was a great wedding and the venue can’t be beat.
Horrible. I paid so much money for nothing. The drinks were water down . They promise us top shelf liquor. We didn’t get it . The food was horrible. Didn’t give us what we asked for on the menu. Appetizers what they gave us. Everything they promised us we didn’t get .They basically scammed us. I wouldn’t recommend this place orCome back.

I was referred by a co-worker of mine who said the service was good. But when I got to the Marina Del Rey location I found out that the service wasnt just good it was PHENOMENAL!!! I would recommend Marina Del Rey anyone who needs a new Catering Place.
The scenery is amazing even for a day in November. Their cocktail hour choices was amazing. Their plated meals were just ok. I definitely preferred the cocktail hour menu over the plated menu.
I visit this place during a snow storm at night but I was still able to appreciate he beauty. First of all the view of the bridges is amazing and the inside is well decorated. The food was average as well as the staff .

My brother ordered fish, wish did not taste pleasant at all. He kindly asked if he could replace it, and a waiter ( white ) rudeley answered no and walked away. We were having a great time until now..no kindness , no apology, nothing. You would expect a kind explanation.. but no. He was so rude .. unexpected. Would never recommend the place to anyone getting married .. whatever he occasion may be.

We were married at Marina del Rey in October 1995! Our wedding was beyond awesome. The food, drinks, staff and decor all were fabulous. My mothers friends called her for weeks afterwards saying what a great time they had. This is a great venue for all types of parties, business meetings and celebrations, both large and small. Situated on the shoreline of the long Island Sound overlooking the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridges. A stones throw from the Merchant Marine Academy. The food is well prepared and well presented. Beautiful venue. Just did an event there. Great service, the staff is really nice and helpful. Beautiful view. Or decor looked amazing with the bridge view.

High expectations highly disappointed The food was below golden coral Quality. The drinks were juice and soda barely any alcohol when it was advertised as top shelf liquor that was paid for in advance. Their top shelf for tequila is Pepe Lopez lowest and cheapest stuff not top shelf whatsoever. The fire pits outside were never turned on when the previous day it was discussed to have them on, so any cigar aficionados were at a loss. No solutions or discounts offered only Excuses. Marina del ray is beautiful that’s it. Go else where the pine, don woodie, Eastwood manner etc.

The overall experience you have here will be truly one to remember. The staff is great, place is beautiful, and some of the best views youll ever get in The Bronx. A huge plus is, you dont have to worry about parking!!!

2022-03-22Totally enjoyed my time there. Since youre right on the water, you got gorgeous views of 2 New York bridges .The food was outrageous and plentiful. You got to taste three different types of pasta before your main entree. Once desert came , everyone got a variety 5 delicious treats.

2022-05-16Marina Del Rey by far exceeded our dream wedding. From the time we sat with Carl to the day of the wedding the customer service was stellar!! I couldnt have asked for a better experience. It rained on our wedding day but you wouldve noticed they recreated a magical tent and the ceremony kept going. The food was DELISH, the drinks were great not watered down like other venues.All of my guests cant stop talking about our wedding!! There was never a time when we didnt feel special during this process leading to the big day and we are grateful.We thank Carl, Tori, Joe, Savanah and the rest of the staff that made our dream wedding come true!

2021-08-22Went here recently for the first time; there was a celebration for a nursing honor society. Staff was professional and patient good was great and the set up was great. Place is by the water and has a lot of nice views. Would recommend for those planning to celebrate big events such as meetings, birthdays, weddings, etc.

2022-05-14Couldnt have picked a better venue. Jule, our bridal attendant assisted us whenever needed. Joe, our Maitre d made us feel incredibly special throughout the night and was there whenever we needed him. Finally Carl, the owner of MDR was spectacular. He came to visit and congratulate us before the reception and even served our guests during the Viennese hour. The staff was tremendous from the tour through the final moments of our reception. Would absolutely recommend for any catering event.

2021-08-06Havana Nights had its Third Annual event sponsored by Havana Café and others at this venue. It was an ideal location because Marina Del Rey has great outdoor space for the guests to enjoy their cigars and drinks. Also, if you attend a function here, look for the details that make all events special.

2022-01-03From the second my Fiance & I walked into Marina Del Rey we felt so comfortable and impressed at how the staff treated us like family, we knew it was the place. Joe Orzo & his team made sure our wedding was perfect. We had no stress in planning the wedding because we trusted the Marina Del Rey. We are still getting calls saying the food was the best they have ever had. Great people, excellent cocktail hour, the best food and a beautiful and clean location. We want to do it all over again!!! We highly recommend the Marina Del Rey for weddings and/or any other parties you may be planning.

2021-05-31We were here for my uncles wedding & loved the venue beautiful boardwalk with a great staff. The cocktail hour food and three-course meals were pretty good.This is a hidden gem in the Bronx, a very nice located venue by the water perfect for weddings, sweet 16’s, or any formal events.The speakers in the cocktail room sounded a bit fuzzy with poor quality but besides that everything else was wonderful and we had a fun time with our family.

2022-05-05Attended a wedding here recently. The ambiance was wonderful, views were outstanding, and dinner provided several delicious choices and even seconds!! The wedding cake was beautiful and also delicious, and the other desserts were both gorgeous to look at and marvelous to taste. Wait staff were VERY attentive and kept water at the table, picked up dishes unobtrusively, and were very helpful in providing a special order of pasta because of our food allergy. If I could make one suggestion for improvement it would be this: the cocktail hour buffet looked scrumptious, but as someone with serious food allergies (anaphylaxis for many things) I was afraid to eat most of it because there were no labels on the dishes and it was impossible to tell, for the most creative items, what the ingredients were. I have eaten at buffet arrangements where small signs were used to describe each dish. I did find a staff person who told me about the fried ravioli (wonderful) and the turkey breast (succulent) but had to forgo most of the rest.
