Hassan was extremely knowledgeable. He showed us a wide range of mattresses and did not try and push us towards the most expensive. This is the second time we have bought a mattress from this store in Auburn and are confident we will not be disappointed with this one either.
Buying a mattress at Metro Mattress was easy and convenient. There are plenty of styles and firmness levels to choose from. I have an antique iron bedframe that is several inches high, so I wanted to keep the mattress and box spring within a certain height to be able to get in and out safely. Steve was great at helping me sort out my comfort choice. Then he had ideas to to the size down for me. My purchases came the next day, and it all fit perfectly. The delivery men were mannerly and efficient. It was all so easy! I slept well on my new mattress last night. Thanks to all the staff st Metro Mattress!
The mattress team at the Auburn Metro Mattress couldn’t have been more helpful with my purchase today. No pressure and no sales talk, they just provided me with an opportunity to compare different types of mattresses to see what felt best for me. From there it was a quick voyage through the financial details and I was out the door. My new Tempur-Pedic arrives tomorrow and they are taking the old stuff away when they leave so what’s not to like?
We bought a $1700 mattress here that felt good in the store. We were told if we bought the $100 mattress protector we would have 60 days to exchange if we didnt like it. The guy stated he was a new employee and had to call a manager on the phone three times to ask questions while we were there. We hated the mattress and went back on day 30 to exchange for the top of the line $3800 mattress and were told it was only a 30 day exchange, not 60. And delivery of exchanged mattress had to take place before the 30th day. We are devastated beyond belief. We feel that the guy we bought from being a new salesman was at fault for the misunderstanding.
I was very happy with my experience today. Steve was very helpful. I needed pillows and sheets. I was nervous going in with whats going on with the pandemic and Steve just put my anxiety at ease. He helped me find exactly what I needed. He had to order everything for me and I will pick it all up next week. This is the second time Ive dealt with Metro Mattress and will return when I need something again. This is definitely a company I would recommend to others.
To put it simply, Kyle, A representative for the Auburn,Ny location made purchasing a new bed a very fun experience! He was very approachable! He displayed excellent patience in helping me choose the right mattress and frame And was very fun and humorous every step of the way. I will be purchasing my next bed here and highly recommend you do the same!
Kyle was awesome! Never once did we feel like we were dealing with a used car salesman. Laughing, joking and educating! Didnt feel like he was inconvenienced either! He genuinely likes his jobs and believes in what hes doing which makes selling easy! Only place to buy a bed!
Steve at the auburn metro mattress made everything to buy very simple and fun. Had no clue what we were really looking for. Told him a few things that were what we wanted and he was able to put us right where we wanted to be. He didn’t try to up sell anything to us or make us feel pressured. Helped us narrow down the one we wanted and “put it to bed”. Great experience, would recommend that establishment and him (Steve) to anyone.
We walked in the local store today not having the intention to purchase but it didn’t take long to change our mind. The stuff and Kyle in particular were very patient and helpful. We tryed many mattresses while he was guiding us through the process, he answered all of our questions and made us feel confident about our choice.
We went to Metro Mattress in Ithaca this morning. We seen Emma, she was absolutely wonderful. She kept it real with us and was very professional. She made it known that we needed a good bed and showed us many. She did a complete comfort test on me. She helped a lot! Appreciate it very much Emma! I highly recommend anyone looking for a bed to go see Emma in Ithaca! She knows the information very well and is extremely upfront and honest. Thank you so much!
We came in looking to replace our 25 yr mattress. Charlie helped us and demonstrated all the models. He worked with us and ultimately found a model that worked within our planned expenses. He is personable, knowledgeable and the experience exceeded our expectations. Then Kyle came in and helped to seal the deal. My wife and I had not expected to buy today and we did but these two worked hard and were extremely honest as well
I came in to the store to look at pillows for my new tempurpedic mattress. Kyle was extremely professional and informative. I tried several, and was very satisfied. I bought my mattress at the NY State Fair, but he gave me additional information about mattress features that I may have missed.I would absolutely send my friends to him.
Chris and Janielle were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the products. They were very laid back and made the whole process very stress free and relaxed. We felt that they really cared about getting us what we would best need, just not what cost the most money. The delivery team was also great. Very polite and friendly, and got everything installed quickly and without issue.
Beds are fantastic. The kids LOVE them. Chris was so helpful in helping me get the best deal possible. Delivery was quick and on time. Even though we had a problem getting the box springs upstairs, they fixed the problem and brought us new box springs the next day. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we will definitely be returning when we need our next bed.
We had a great experience. Have never bought mattress from anywhere else...and if service continues to be this good we never will. They were informative, personalized to us not just another person in door...as with other experiences we have had they went above and beyond....THAT makes a happy, satisfied and returning customer .
Chris from the Auburn branch was awesome! Even though I was just getting an idea for the type of mattress I wanted, he was very helpful. He gave me all the facts and truth about buying the perfect mattress. I highly recommend seeing Chris for your next mattress purchase!
More often then not people only write reviews when they are unhappy with something. I however, feel the need to express my positive experience.After reading these reviews I was hesitant to go to metro mattress when I needed my new bed. I went to lynches in auburn and from the moment I walked in I felt really uncomfortable, I felt as if the sales ladies there were looking down on me. Since I wasnt comfortable buying from there I left and a few days later went to metro mattress. I am glad that I did because they made me feel right at home. Steve was my sales person and he was very helpful in finding me the right bed and pillow for my sleep patterns. I ended up getting a Stearns and foster mattress and a side sleeper pillow. I am very happy with my purchase and I know I will be headed back to metro when it comes time to buy my guest bed.I also want to say, no matter how angry you get about a situation, its not always the sales associates fault. Sometimes they really cant do anything to help certain situations. In regards to the comment above about bashing Steve from metro mattress, it sounds like you should have taken your anger out on the driver, he was the one who decided he didnt want to drive up your driveway.I would definitely recommend visiting Metro Mattress in Auburn NY.

Nice shopping experience today at Metro Mattress in Auburn, NY. Two great Sales Reps that were very willing to help me find the item I was looking for. I placed an order and looking forward to picking up my purchase next week. They do offer a delivery service, as well.
I really enjoyed working with Chris G. until I wanted to return the adjustable frame. Chris originally told me that everything could be returned. When I called about the frame he said it wasnt returnable. I wont list the song and dance that weve been going through for the past week but he flat out lied to me about the policy. He also didnt explain the two different ways to get a return. His claim about returning the adjustable frame is that he didnt know this was their policy. I cant believe that someone whos been working there for 9 years would not know this fact. I explained to Chris my need for a new bed to help me with my disability. I told him I didnt know if the adjustable bed would make a difference. He once again assured me that I could return it if I didnt like it. Not the case! Finally, I asked Chris 3 times to have his manager call me and each time Chris said he would have him do that. 7 days later and still no call from the district manager, Keith. Completely unacceptable. I cant believe that the corporate office would be happy with this service.
I went thru three mattresses before I hopefully got a good one. This was not my intention. I went out to buy one new mattress and it has been a nightmare every since. After 9 months with the first one it had bad impressions. Second one I got which I did not plan on more money involved, 9 months later same scenario. Bad impressions. Good for me they had a good sale on a decent mattress. I will research the next time before I jump into something I dont know anything about. Lesson learned.
When we shopped, Kyle was very kind and showed us all different mattresses. I had told him that in the last 8 years we have had 2 mattresses, one of them being a sleep number and we didn’t like them. I have a lot of lower back and hip pain. I also have been diagnosed with insomnia so when I sleep, I want to be comfortable.Because we switched mattress types we knew it would take some adjustment. The delivery guys told us our mattress had been left in the truck over night and may take a few days to warm up. That mattress was as hard as a rock! There was no give. We waited a few days and nothing changed. My husband called within the 30 days and we got the run around! If we wanted to get a different mattress we would have to pay the delivery fee, which was fine. What they don’t tell you is that if you get a cheaper mattress you eat that cost. There was a lot of back an forth. This mattress is nothing like the one we tried in the store. We even put a heater in the room to warm up the mattress and it’s still rock hard. It also doesn’t cool as it is suppose to. By the time we did everything they suggested we were out of the 30 days.We now have to fight with the mattress company for them to swap out the mattress.This has been a very expensive and frustrating process.
Chris G was wonderful to work with. He explained everything to us. He didnt rush us or push us into buying something we didnt want. And when we had questions a couple of days after getting our matress he took time with us and didnt make us feel like idiots for asking questions.
There were two friendly men that came to deliver. Carlos and El , even though there was things in the way ,they simply brought in the bed frame set it up and with a smile at that. They showed me how to work the bed and all of it functions. The bed frame is great I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The guys at the store we’re very pleasant and personable. I didntbmark higher because when they asked about a pillow fitting I agreed said which one I preferred they added it to the invoice without disclosing a price before. So to see $150 extra for a pillow was not what I had expected. I signed the invoice agreeing to pay for it. But going forward I would recommend the store however I will also caution and forwarn people it will cost you. When they showed me the mattress protectors prices were given so I just assumed it was an added extra for spending $3500 on a mattress. Again I signed the invoice when I could have disputed the pillow and had it taken off. Going forward I would recommend that they disclose the cost of the pillows.
I made the mistake of not going in to purchase a mattress with my husband. He purchased a very expensive floor model mattress and we are not happy with it. Although we signed an agreement stating we could return it in 15 days, over the phone when my husband called, the sales rep did NOT want us to return it and tried to tell him that we couldnt because it was a discounted floor model. (He had sold this mattress to another customer prior, but because we had the entire purchase amount, he sold this mattress to us, out from under the previous buyer because we were there with money and could take it home that day with our pick up truck-which seemed unprofessional to me, and the sales rep was calling around to find another mattress to deliver to the other customer later that week). I am disappointed with the comfort of the mattress especially for the price and that we are stuck with it and that Metro Mattress does not have to do a thing to be sure we are satisfied customers. I have also submitted a dissatisfied review of the mattress itself with Serta. I will never purchase another overpriced mattress with a company that is so shady and that does not care about customer satisfaction.
This is a major complaint about the Auburn, NY store.My husband and I went in on a Friday to buy a mattress. We put our money down (cash) and financed the rest. We were told we would get a call about delivery for Monday. Sunday, we were told over phone to expect delivery between 5-8pm Monday. This is dinner time and I had a 6:30 meeting that evening, but we felt we had no choice but to work around it.At 4:30pm on Monday, the Metro Mattress truck pulls to the end of our driveway. I did not know this until my husband came up to our house and told me the driver REFUSED to drive up to the house because there was snow in the driveway. He told my husband he needed to come with our personal truck to help out! There was about… an inch. AN INCH. We have no hill, no curves and it’s about a tenth of a mile long. The driver refused. We called out to the store and our “so obviously on commission” sales guy, Steve, was there. We told him the situation. He then called the driver, then called us back to say there was nothing they could do since the driver said it was unsafe to drive.Then the driver TOOK OFF WITH OUR MATTRESS.Furious, we drove into the store, demanded a mattress be delivered that night as promised. They said they could not do that. We asked for our cash deposit back, right there which Steve said they did not have. He said to expect our refund check in 7-10 days since they already deposited the money in the bank.We got so angry with the sales associate, Steve, and over the phone with two additional “managers” that we drove the other customers out. Good. I hope the company enjoys that lost sale - and many more.Thankfully THANKFULLY a local furniture store down the road had the same mattress and it will be here tomorrow. This is Lynch’s furniture, a family-owned which I am embarrassed to not start out there first. I should know better. They had a cute loggy-themed couch which we are considering now for our loft area in our log cabin, and a nice price. Family owned businesses know how to treat customers, they LISTEN to their customers and will go out of their way to make them happy. Metro Mattress did anything but.I am sickend by this. Just today, three days before Thanksgiving in anticipation of this mattress delivery, and we are expecting company over?! I hope this makes the company happy. I am so upset, already stressed with the holidays and now this. Does this make this place sleep well at night? Disgusting. Even more that the driver asked my husband to help out with a personal vehicle. This is a HUGE liability on their part. What if he had gotten hurt? How would that lawsuit taste?I wish I didnt have to type any of this - its nauseating. Customer service FAILED with tonight and Steve in the Auburn store is a dirty, sleazeball salesman in my opinion. He pretended to care but clearly did not.Never EVER again.The one start is only because I HAD to put something. This place is about a negative 10 stars if you get what I mean.
Delivery was on-time very courteous delivery people removed old mattress and box springs took all packing materials with them the best part was when they discovered my wifes birthstone ring which had been lost for a year under bed extremely grateful it meant so much to her too early to critique bed but wanted to thank delivery crew

2022-02-16This is a great place to buy a mattress. Ken, the sales manager, was very helpful in pointing me to the various options that would be a good fit for me based on what I told him of my mattress and sleeping history. There was zero pressure to buy. I tried things out the first time before coming back in to buy, and he remembered every detail of our initial conversation. He hooked me up with great deals. I’m thrilled with my purchase and can’t wait to sleep on my new bed!

2022-04-02My husband and I recently found ourselves in need of a new bed frame. We did a little shopping and ended up at Metro. The salesman, Spencer, was so kind and down to earth. He explained all of our options and was so patient with all of our questions. We ended up with an adjustable base and we are so excited. A huge thank you to Spencer for a great experience!

2022-02-16We received a heads-up phone call that they would be arriving shortly. Both of the delivery people were well educated on the product and let me know of capabilities that I was not aware the bed had. I requested that the base use only 2 of the 3 part base feet. When they arranged it as requested they realized that this could possibly cause scraping. They politely advised me and we used all 3 parts of the feet.This was going above and beyond! They did a GREAT JOB!

2022-04-22Absolutely the worst buying experience ever. I would never recommend anyone to your company, and I tell everyone not to do business with metro mattress. I have gotten the run around so many times and still have not received everything and this been was purchased on Black Friday 2021. We get I will call you back tomorrow with an update and never heard from again until I REACH out. Would give zero stars if possible.

2021-07-17We dealt with Ken(like the barbie, as he calls himself). He was great! He was friendly, funny, And knowledgeable! We found our mattress within 10 minutes and he worked hard to get us out of there as quickly as possible even though the bank networks were down. He got us a great deal and was a pleasure to deal with!

2021-10-27Ed was super polite, very personable and picked out for me what was needed. So glad to get him when traffic was slower. Will deliver and remove old mattress on Fri- due to conflict tomorrow. Reassured me of removal and new bed being all set up. Very positive experience.
