Michaels in other cities:
Had a horrible experience with framing. They literally framed it upside down and when it was finally delivered two months later, the frame had nicks from the continuous mishandling. We were offered a whopping 10% refund or have them re-do. Economically it makes zero sense for them to redo a custom frame. It would be a loss of manpower and materials for them. What poor operations. And we’ve been waiting way too long already for this piece. Uptown Manhattan location is much better than the Chelsea location.
They dont employ enough floor staff but when you can get one theyre helpful. Better care of the picture frames on the rack should be taken. Lots are scratched and dented. You to have examine them carefully before purchasing. Their custom framing is beautiful. Coupons are generous and plentiful. All in all glad that theyre in my neighborhood.
One of my favorite store and this place in particular. You have everything and the store is super organized that you know where to find everything and not to get lost. The area is nice a lot to do lots of good stores. The subway is closed. Very recommend store and location.
We love going to Michaels. This location, although much smaller than other locations, still has a pretty decent selection. We need to find another Michaels in Manhattan though bc the lines at this location are ridiculously long, and they only had two people on the registers. We also couldnt find anyone in the store to help with anything....which isnt typical of Michaels.
Im writing this review because of Yvonne! Ive been to this Michaels store before and have received great service by the other employees - they have always been very helpful and friendly - but today Yvonne blew me away with her kindness and willingness to help me at the register! She helped me find my Michaels rewards account while she was checking out my items and had me laughing the whole time! Such a lovely person! This is my favorite Michaels store, hands down! I will be back!
Micheals is a complete one stop shop for craft materials. Though the stuff is not cheap but variety is available and quality is good. I bought plenty of items from there benefitting sale and online coupons. The staff was cooperative but you need to look for them as they were not around to offer help but are patient n friendly.
Understaffed. Incorrect stock counts online vs in store. Disorganized staff allocation had me in line for 8 minutes with two registers open and one person ahead of me in line. Everyone was buying less than 5 items. This is not the experience that Im used to from Michaels.
You can find literally everything here. All the categories are organized that you easy to find what you need. Price is reasonable and they have sale off promotion quite often so keep your eyes open. The staffs there are nice I have no problems with check-out or anything. The only thing that causes I rate 4 stars instead 5 stars because you will find something you like but in low stock or out of stock and it takes time to restock. And you must wait in a long line in rush hours because the staffs are not enough.
Its the perfect art store if you want to find the most basic of materials...dont let it fool you though. The staff never went to art school and I dont know is the best answer you answer you will ever get from them. They dont care or pretend to care about your project. But you can find a lot if you know what you looking for. I call it the art store of artistic ignorance
NEVER going back again - had a medical emergency and instead of helping, staff told me to leave the store! Never mind customer service, what kind of human being turns someone away in that kind of situation?Had surgery fairly recently, and while I was shopping started experiencing symptoms that led me to believe I may have opened a stitch.Went to a staff member (who was very reluctant to interrupt a personal phone call), explained the situation and asked if there was somewhere I could check my surgical dressing. Was told to go ask to use the bathroom at a different store. I replied i might not make it that far (I was in a lot of pain). The employee, and another who came over, then asked me to leave.I barely made it two steps out the door (after trying the Harmon Face Values upstairs who also refused to help on the grounds of their bathroom policy) before I fell. No employees can’t to help me. Fortunately two doctors who were walking by and a nearby Starbucks were willing to help me.
The place is disgusting. Evening 1/12/2022 a line and only one cashier open as per usual, so I left the stuff by checkout area and moved towards exit. Security guy blocked the way asked if I took something. After I said Of course no, do you wanna check? He answered Don’t come here again.I should have call supervisor and file a formal complaint but I never been harassed by security guy before and was just shocked. Obviously will not come to shop there again, as well as my friends and relatives. Do not recommend.
Im always impressed with how organized this store is despite the hoards of diyers (myself included.) Every employee Ive encountered over the years has been great as well. Its a little tight when its crowded, this is Manhattan after all, but if you go at off-peak times its a wonderland of crafts.
Excellent customer service. First time shopper at this Michaels location. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I came to do a pick up order but because of Train issues I was late and store was closed. I got there about 10min after closing. I called and the rep was very understanding. After talking to her manager they made an acception and allowed me to come in and pick up my order. Very happy and thankful that they let me get my order even though store was closed. THANK YOU
Store is well stocked and has everything pretty well organized. The staff, however, is borderline useless, and will NOT know ANYTHING about ANY product you are looking for. EVER. They may try to repeat what you asked them for (incorrectly), but they will look at you like you made up the word and you have lost your mind. Don’t bother them. They’re trying to breathe and stand up at the same time.
Not fond of this location. Barely every have beads or most materials. Mainly what I shop at Michaels. There is more variety online than at the store, but its the only store in Manhattan or nearest to the south Bronx. They have some variety but not as much as youd expect it being the only store in the city.
Great customer service! Thank you to the cashier Victoria for being such a great help with my Bags. However everything in the store is very feminine, there werent any masculine calendars or journals, no day planners nor desk calendars that didnt have flowers or a bunch of colors. I really wish they had a bit more masculine or just simple office supplies. All of the calendars where for girls and not one journal didnt have glitter on it besides a black one. It would be so cool if they had a simple but effective office supplies that isnt covered in glam.
Store is mostly empty. Pegs and shelves are bare. I have only rarely found what I came for. This is what you get when you hang your hat on a single source ( China) for goods.Ridiculously long slow lines. Staff seems to be barely acquainted with items in store. I am sure the pay is terrible. Does this reflect how the corporation that bought Michael’s feels about New York City?Support your local art store, if there’s still one in your neighborhood.
Michael has a lot of cute babyYarns on sale..call ahead to seeWhich brand they have on sale every week... Canon acrylic or soft cotton its the best yarn toDo baby blanket patternsYou can also buy fromMichael store onlineYou can go to YouTubeOn the search bar writecrochet baby blanket patternsCrochet Sandal tutorialscrochet baby sneakersfor newbornsI love it....
Endless array of crafts and baking needs at pretty reasonable prices. While thats great the store is a cluttered mess that looked like how a hoarder would arrange a store. Its tight, aisle are narrow, congested and terribly laid out especially the Chelsea location. The lines are usually long on the weekends but at least the cashiers are all super nice and friendly. God bless them. They also have store pick up which I prefer so I dont have to wander around through aisle stated above.
Greatest craft store in NYC they carry a very wide variety craft media Yarn Paints Canvas Kids crafts Florals they offer classes & so much moreIts inventory doesnt seem to be up to par Theres lots of bare spots so its a little disappointing Also before the plandemic they started to drop a lot of the Lion Brand line they used to carry Its good to run in when they have a sale and you want something specific but sadly I dont shop there anymore like I used to
Terrible customer service. I had called the day before about whether they could dry mount a piece and was told to come in the next day and they’d help me. I get there the next day after a long treck and was told by the female manager in the framing department immediately that they couldn’t help me. She didn’t even apologize and walked away when I told her they should inform the person who I spoke to originally to not give false info as I had taken a long trip to get there. The gentleman helping me initially was very nice and apologetic. Honestly am amazed by the laziness, lack of professionalism, lack of customer service and empathy from the manager. Asked for the simplest dry mounting project too. Don’t go there if you’re an artist looking for help. They don’t care
This is a best place to shop for arts and crafts. The staff members are always smiling and helpful. They even gave me alternatives to buy. This place is great for purchasing jewelry making items, baking, home decor, custom frames etc. They always have deals so download the app to receive your coupons.
All the clerks were very very helpful in finding what I needed and the store manager tried to find one skein of yarn for me and tell me the one I purchased was the last. Check out young man whose name is Dominic was exceptionally kind and understanding and efficient. Thank you very much. Mary Bavaro
They had exactly what I needed as well as a great choice of colors for the item I wanted. There was also a sale if buy 1 the 2nd was half price, so I bought 2. One for me & one for a future birthday gift for friend. Great service & friendly staff on the floor & at check out.
A nice place to shop at if you are in the city ya. A great place if you are an artist either newbie or professional. Im thinking about going back myself as I enjoy drawing from time to time ya. Additionally if you enjoy being open minded and trying new different self expressions I truly madly deeply believe Michaels is worth a visit.
This store is very big and has areas dedicated to your hobby. I was shopping on a Saturday which I would avoid normally, but all the checkout stations were staffed, and the long line moved very quickly. I didnt find the Lion Brand yarn I wanted, A Touch of Alpaca, but I did find a substitute. I would appreciate a chair or 2 available for sitting: my back hurt. It is located in a great shopping area.
To be honest if your into arts & crafts who does not enjoy visiting a Michaels store. Great prices and selection of you name it for the arts and craft world and over all Creativity seriously! Good lay out, friendly staff. However I suggest going very early or late evening the line can grow something real mean! Meaning long! Lol However still worth it at times I say.
I had never been to Michaels but decided to look at their yarns. I was amazed at their large selection and the prices were very good. They do have many departments of different crafts, but I couldnt see them today because I ended up with a huge bag of yarns that I couldnt help buying and barely made it out the front door 😁
I go to this store frequently and I always leave with some art supplies that I enjoy. The employees are always polite and recommend coupons on the website all the time. They seem to know and care about the products and the store itself is in a nice area. The supplies can sometimes be overpriced but you would have to go when they have a sale or good coupons.
You can reliably contact this store by phone and recieve great customer service. Ive called ahead a few times to make certain they have items because my trek and timing may have been tight. While in store Ive gone to customer service and have had staff walk through the store to help me.I live near in close proximity to two other Michaels but I make it my point to go to this mega store because of the selection, the organized floor, and for customer service. They have the kind of staff that provides service versus making you feel like youre bothering them at their home.BTW...everytime I get to the register their staff is quick to share about a sale or a discount.
The store is a basement level location. Its large and seems like everything is on sale. The are plenty of floor team members ready to assists customers. The checkout line looks long and daunting. However, adequately staffed, itoves very fast. Overall, this is a good place for arts amd crafts.
I am never! Ever coming back here again. I complained months ago about not being allowed to use their restroom. Michaels was wonderful, quick to respond and apologize.A few weeks ago, I come all the way from Brooklyn to find they were closed even though the website said they were open until 10pm. Wasted trip. Man at the door was very nice, though.Today, I called to see if stock had been replenished in the beading section. I was told it had been. No, it was just as depleted as the weekend. And again needed to use the restroom before I waited in a long line. Again, no. Again, I came from Brooklyn.I bought my things. I usually love the selection at this location. Also, the employees are nice and friendly. But I was lead astray about the beads.I think this location is bad luck for me.
I love this store. Not only is it at a super convenient location, it is easy to navigate and find what you need in the store. Staff is always extremely helpful and kind. I have gone there multiple times but yesterday my cashier was Sucely, who was extremely helpful and sweet. I always have a great experience going there. But be warned: if you go between 4-5:30pm you will wait at the check out line for about 40min!
Go early and beat the crowds. They have really good door buster deals and coupon offers weekly. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. The store manager was onsite and coaching his employees you can tell he values their work and customer service. It does get crazy here later in the day, so go early.
Been going to this Michaels location for years and I just love it. I dont usually find staff walking around the floor but if you do find any of them, they are all super nice. The stores layout has a good flow which makes it easy to find stuff, and believe me, they have everything you would need and things you didnt think you needed. The store never feels crowded and although the line can get long, theres a lot of cashiers so it moves fast. And make sure to check online before visiting, youll always find seasonal deals and coupons.
I love Michaels and actually my 1st time visiting the location. I found what I needed rather quickly in this huge store with the help of an associate. The line wasnt terrible it moved rather quickly, and then there was no movement. I believe her name was Angela was providing AMAZING customer service to the person she just rang by being engaging and conversing but neglected to notice that there were 3 of us waiting at this point. I understand it can be hard to break away from conversation sometimes it just takes honesty.. Hey Ms.. It was lovely meeting you however my line is growing...etc.That way ALL customers that come can have a great experience because mine was not.
I love coming here for yarn and bullet journal supplies! They have the widest selection available, and the staff here are just darling! They will always smile at you and ask if you need help. Things are also always on sale, so never buy things at full price unless necessary! They also remind you to go to their website for coupons, so things are considerable cheaper. Their full sets of scrapbook paper are always on sale, as are the tapes. You can easily spend an hour here looking through their wide selection of everything.
Some artist supplies are more expensive here than from other vendors, and the selection is limited compared to their out of town branches. If you can buy what you want on sale, its more competitive. But its still one of the best sources for a broad range of crafts supplies.
Has everything.that you need from any size picture frame to all the arts and crafts for your needs if you are a person who likes to knit they have every color and type of wool you would need to make a blanket a scarf or sweater prices are reasonable and if you are a senior citizen you will get 10 percent off your total bill and the people are very friendly and helpful I give this place all thumbs up for Michaels 👍👍👍👍 check it out you wont be sorry
There are big sections in this store that arent numbered. For example the Modge Podge shelves are near the wood section, so an employee can sorta direct you to it but without an aisle number, because it doesnt exist. Prices are good but its easy to get lost in this big store because it has lots of little aisles etc. parents please be mindful of this and keep your kids in sight at all times.I also feel there needs to be more floor employees here for customer service. Theres not enough. Also the store is below street level so a cellular connection isnt guaranteed if lets say you want to Google something.Better do your googling before you enter.
The framing department is friendly but is very confused, disorganized and not communicative about any delays on orders. I had to make multiple trips to the store for a single frame order only to hear different information depending on who was working at the time. The final result turned out to be a different size and was slightly crooked — not worth the money or the time it took to be at the store on multiple occasions.
Michaels was a wonderful treasure to stumble upon. I was very impressed with the layout of the entire store. I found that the entire staff performed extraordinarily as they were highly energetic and willing to go above and beyond give us the most optimal service. And last but not least they had exactly what we were looking for this was an A+
A person could spend hours in this store, even if you have never thought you were creative you will be once you have walked around and seen all the Paints coloring markers wooden items just begging to be painted by you and get to live in your House or Year. Tee shirts to decorate at very reasonable prices, Just to many things to mention here. Just go to the store. You will wonder how youy lived with out it.
Variety of items.....they always have sales so the prices are good. I bought a year planner and totally love it. I got items for my shower there and scrapbooks. Its a great arts and craft store. Staff is always helpful and the lines may seem long but they are efficient at the register.
I love this Michaels. I always go early to buy any supplies I need and I love shopping last minute because I know they always have what I need. This store is so huge and very well organized you may not see that many staff, but the store is always neat!Best part is that whenever you need help there is always someone available to help you out. I recently found out that if you are an art teacher you can get a discount as well and you can teach an art class if you are intrested. This place is awesome definitely go to this store if you need any art supply.
This store has almost everything a creative person wants, from paint to paint brushes. I lost count of the unique items this store has to offer. They even sell styrofoam for creative purposes. This store is a hidden gem for artists. One last important thing, their staff was very helpful and knowledgeable when I needed help on a specific hard to find item. I highly recommend this store.
This is my go to store for everything I need for all finishing projects around the house. And they have an amazing selection of seasonal home decor. You cant beat the variety of activities for kids and for not a lot of money. And their sales are great. Nobody should miss when they have sales on storage bins. Best deals in the city. All in all its a great place to be inspired and then to get all the materials to see your inspiration become reality.
I have never been so disrespected and treated so poorly by a managers. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with a return and receipt for the return. The first persons cash register couldn’t do the return. The manager came over to help and could not get it to work. The manager barked move to that register, I explained there was another person there with a huge order so I wait. When it’s again my turn the next sales person tries to do the return and it will not go through wait for override 15 mins later manger comes over I ask could you please stay until this goes through. She stays for two seconds She walks away it doesn’t go through again the manager walks back then walks away again, when it doesn’t go through again she doesn’t come back at all the sales person figure a way around it. I stood in line 45 mins. Remembering there is a reason why I don’t shop at Micheal’s. Never going back and won’t even shop on line with them they don’t seem to get it. There are better places to shop. Stay away if you are even remotely in a hurry and don’t expect Any costumer service.
Michaels is the best. They have all equipment you need from art supplies for my son. Beads and other things to assist my jewelry making. Pots for plants. Yarn for my crocheting needs as well as thread for my sewing needs. They also have picture frames which I need vfc to see if I can have a custom frame made. The prices for some things are reasonable.
This store is always organized and easy for me to find what I am looking for. I can easily spend hours in here (which Ive done unintentionally). The line is usually long in the evening and during lunch but any other time its pretty easy to walk in and out with your purchase without waiting too long to check out.
I ordered a Cricut Explore Air 2 online for $179. With COVID restrictions I chose same day delivery for an extra $7.99.Received the order and it was missing a packet with a welcome book, instructions and other paperwork. It was obvious the item had been previously unboxed, which would be ok if nothing was missing. I called customer service and did not receive much help. So I went to the store to switch out the item with a complete one. I did this all on the same day it was delivered.Customer Service was horrible! No one said sorry, they acted like I was bothering them. To top it off they would not refund the $7.99 for the delivery fee. So I had to pay for delivery of an incomplete item which I still had to go to the store to return!I will no longer shop at Michaels. They just lost a customer over $7.99.
Love this store! I would call this my go-to craft store if I need anything related to crafts. If youre in a creative mood you can spend up to a hour or two in here. They have everything from yarn to baking goods, and from paints to framing.Theres usually always coupons 40%-60% off items so make sure you take advantage of that! Constant sales that make a big difference!Usually always a line here when I go but they have enough registers open for it not to be such a long wait.
Overall a great place fr any crafting job! Tons of aisles stocked with plenty items in an organized manner for all your crafting needs. The line can be long at peak hours, but they are usually well staffed with cashiers who overall seem efficient. Staff is helpful when you ask them too
I love Michaels...in general, but when this location opened I was excited and cautious about the area. I assumed it to be packed and items everywhere but it is very clean. As others said, the line can be long but its do-able. Besides, the cheap products that make up the line will keep you entertained. Always screenshot your coupons if you are using your phone since there is no signal in the store.
Everytime I go in there I have to hunt for assistance. Employees are nice. However I was a little upset that there was the bare minimum of breast cancer items in the store. Breast cancer awareness month is the whole month. It was more things for Halloween and Thanksgiving than anything else. They even had more Christmas items out.
This store was extremely neat and tidy. Especially the yarn section. It was well organized by brand and yarn weight. As well as color. Which is great for those who is crazy deep in fiber arts. They had a large section of acrylic as well as sock and other kinds of yarn. I found this store to be a great place to cater to all my yarn needs and plan to make another trip soon.
Ive always loved Michaels. It has been my favorite arts and crafts store ever since it first opened. I usually find the supplies I require depending on the project Im working on. When the Michaels on 99th Street and Columbus Avenue closed its doors forever I was upset because that was the Michaels I always went to. I also thought that every Michaels was going out of business which would have really broke my heart 💔 Lucky for me and everyone else who enjoys Michaels not every Michaels store has gone out of business. Sometimes when Im browsing around I find things I didnt know would catch my eye. I recommend Michaels to anyone who enjoys arts and crafts and any other hobbies that they may be into.
Overall good location. The store is huge and offers a wide variety of craft items. You could easily spend hours there just looking. The two things that keep me from giving it a 5 are the checkout lines and at times lack of inventory. Dont go there if your in a rush. That line is killer. Also, they should refresh their inventory more frequently. Its sucks when the shelf is empty.
I love shoppin g at Michaels for all my crafting necessities... however they barley have anyone on the floor to help you find something and when you do find someone they are busy assisting someone else. However The store is always clean and organized and the staff is always very kind.
Not the biggest Michaels but it still has basically everything you could be looking for. I got a bunch of planner stuff and some paints to paint a board and even some calligraphy pens and ink and everything was pretty reasonably priced. There are also always coupons and the staff is pretty good about letting you know when there are ones you should look up which is super nice of them. Also their clearance section had a bunch of cool stuff in it.
Large Michaels with lots of good deals. Located in the basement in the same building as Harmon Face Values. The line can get very long but also moves fast. The cashier was very friendly and carefully wrapped up every glass item i bought for me. They also carry a lot of seasonal decorating items, so if you want to decorate your place for a party or for a holiday, this is a good place to look.
After a whole saga of trying to get to Michaels to get something custom framed, I got there to find out their framing department was unexpectedly closed. When I explained I went an hour out of my way to get there, a manager was called over and she (without question) went ahead and took my order. Both managers I spoke to were SO nice and willing to help me... walked out so happy and super excited to pick up my piece when its done.
Great prices and large variety of choices for whatever arts and crafts projects you may be working on (or would like to learn. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of items. I actually discovered this store during the quarantine as I was looking for something to do while confined at home. I got addicted to watching endless reruns of Bob Ross Joy of Painting on PBS, so I decided to teach myself painting! Hes like the Mister Rogers of painting and he makes it look so easy. So I may not be able to fashion a piece of artwork in 25 mins like Bob does; but its a fun challenge and now my apartment walls arent so bare anymore. 😀
I really like this Michaels. I live closer to the one in Bronx Terminal Market but Instill travel down to 23rd and 6th to this one the staff is nice. They are not always on the floor, but its a busy store so they always need extra cashiers.Speaking of cashiers, this store has a good system- most of the time. Even with long lines Im not standing on line for long.
I liked the store. Well organized, beautiful. I got few things. At the cash register, the cashier was trying to fit everything in one bag. Than she decided to switch all of my merchandise into one big bag. Because Igot few big things and didnt fit into small bag. Anyway by the time i got home, i took a look into Michaels bag, and i noticed two items were missing. The cashier simply forgot to put them into big bag. I never had this type of experience before in Michaels store. Im just saying check your bags before you leave store.
Staff is stretched pretty thin here, but when you can find someone theyre willing to help. Framing department is very helpful, and Ive gotten several pieces framed there with helpful advice for my decisions. Lots of variety in items for such a small place. While the line to pay can get long, it moves quickly.
One of my favorite places to go in the city, not only because of couponsbut because of how massive this store is! The line may look long but with a lot of cashiers, you shouldnt be waiting longer than 5-10 min and its really rare that youre waiting for the full 10. Unless its a holiday, then the lines get longer.
I have loved Michaels for years and years. It has a great selection of everything you can imagine from knitting to painting, and plenty of arts and crafts choices for kids. Always good sales and I’d even say fair prices. Sales people are always knowledgeable and helpful.
The lines here are always super long when getting ready to pay. I always go here with that expectation though. I love how big the store is and it never feels crowded even though it is right in Midtown. I find that the local Michaels by me has more generous coupons though.
I spend way too much time here. I love just browsing at all of the beads and art supplies. I get so many artistic ideas just browsing the aisles. Prices are good and if you belong to their rewards program, they are even better. The location in Chelsea is in the same building as a Harmons discount so be prepared to buy a lot if you are in the mood.
I love this store. It always has something on sale and something new and fun to do. Their selection is great, especially at this location. However, I find myself always looking for the staff. If I can’t find something, I try finding a staff member. But usually there are none to be found. On the bright side, I now know the layout of the store probably just as well as someone who works there. And the staff are always very friendly when I do actually find them.
Dont go to this store if youre trying to take your time browsing in the store. I literally had a customer service person that wanted to help me discreetly follow me around the store because I wanted to take my time browsing and she SUSPECTED that I was stealing. Even after I purchased my yarn, the security guard tried to play it off as if he was organizing carts and followed me right to the door of the store. Thats why people would rather shop online.
Great store for your arts and crafts needs. Large space, beautifully lit, much to see, a vast number of project supplies are kept in stock, and more available for delivery upon request. They also provide rooms for instruction. Classes are held by staff or can be scheduled and reserved by outside teachers.
Great store. By far the best easily accessible craft store in Manhattan. Their product selection is fantastic, their staff is delightful and they usually have great coupons and discounts.I wish they had a better selection of fancy yarns in natural fibers (silk, baby alpaca, etc.) but for every day projects their selection cannot be beat. They even have amazing twist hair ties!
For years after the Rag Shop closed by me, my craft shopping had to be done online. Now with this store (closer than Columbus Circle) Im able to get everything I need in one mega store. The staff are very helpful and when I forgot my discount coupon, the cashier offered his and gave me an additional discount. I will definitely be returning not only for shopping but hopefully for a crafting class in the near future

2021-10-18Michaels on 6th avenue midtown west; the Arts and crafts store. The good:- all types of arts and craft materials.- well stocked.- clean.- courteous staff.- I experienced long lines but it moved briskly. The bad:- none that I can recall, for that was needed, I found it to be a very good experience.

2022-07-11A great direction of jewelry and beads. The kids event being held at the front didnt seem logical but it was overall a very clean and tidy environment. Not everything was labeled correctly price wise but the staff were super helpful and sweet.

2022-04-20Helpful! They should staff the floors more, these employees sure do work hard. The cashiers are on top of it and want you to use coupons. Veronica is special, goes out of her way to make the visit there fun. Today the framing dept. saw to it that an elderly gentleman walked away happy. Great place.

2022-06-14Theyre always extremely friendly and helpful whenever I go to Michaels. I was looking for a specific kind of photo book but it seemed like Id have to find it online. Either way, the store is always clean and Ive never really had any issues the many times I went. Theyre definitely stocked up and close at 9pm so Id suggest there rather than Blick which can be hit or miss.

2022-07-03Ive been so impressed by Michaels framing services that it had to be said. I met with the amazing Quinn who patiently went through all the options for framing a custom canvas. Her artsy eye helped me choose a frame that made the art shine. Framed to perfection and even hand delivered to my home. After experiencing others (with bridge in the name) where my artwork came back damaged and the frame was meh, could not be more happy with this service or the staff.

2022-06-19One of many stores that uses COVID-19 as an excuse to close their bathrooms to paying customers. I had a lot of merchandise I found on my own because the staff was VERY unhelpful, but when I was told I had to leave to use the restroom, I placed all my unpurchased items on the register and walked out with nothing. Nice way to treat your pregnant customers.

2022-08-08How can I not love the last Michaels in Manhattan. Although I will be honest, I really do miss the one up in the South Bronx. If you go here during the week its better than the weekends where it can be a little bit daunting with the lines and number of people in the store. Ill give it to you the store employees they are not only pleasant but they keep the store in way better condition during the day then they do in Brooklyn or they used to up in the Bronx.

2021-05-02This place is a makers paradise! 🧑🎨 It has an endless collection of arts & crafts supplies 🎨🖌️, tools for baking, everything a craftsman needs 🧰, and an awe-inspiring amount of yarn 🧶. I wish they had more branches around NYC!
