Last week I had extensive brake work done. The manager was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. My mechanic, the assistant manager, was great too. She did a great job on my car. It rides like new again. I was glad to see the customer area remodeled. It was long overdue. Much brighter & more comfortable. Having car repairs done is never fun, but I felt like I was treated with respect & my business seemed appreciated. Two customer service qualities that many businesses lack these days. I will go back again.
I was able to get an appointment right away and after work which was convenient. Very professional staff, he explained everything being done to the car. I was only charged for what we had discussed and I could see the car the entire time. The oil change was very fast, about 20 minutes. Ill definitely go back.
I can’t say enough about Mark and his staff at Monroe Muffler. We have been going here for over ten years and each time we are pleased with the quality of work they deliver. Not only is the customer service top notch, but they always offer fair estimates and provide phenomenal service on our vehicles. Add to each they are friendly, accommodating and very trustworthy. Came in today for an oil change and a brake fluid flush. I got a call later that day from Rich (store manager) and he told me my fluid was clear and didn’t need to be replaced. I really appreciated the honesty because they easily could have changed the fluid and charged me. Highly recommended!
Mark and the guys are all great. Ive been coming here for years and they have always worked with me. They let me know what they recommend, but always offer the most cost effective as well. Ive never felt pressured to have them do work and they are always willing to explain why they recommend what they do. They are the ONLY car repair facility i will recommend to friends and family.
Im never going anywhere else! Had an emergency. They took my car in last minute and it was ready in 24 hrs. They took amazing care of my car. I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg but the price was just as amazing as Mark and his guys! I wish I could give 1000 stars! I will be recommending them to everyone I know.
Mark (Canandaigua Monro Auto Service Center) was fantastic. He worked both my vehicles into the schedule. He found a couple items needing replacement to ensure my safety. Brad (in the shop) installed the tires and replacement parts efficiently. He even cleaned out the garbage from the from seat. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE CENTER. I will definitely take my vehicles to this center for all my automotive service.
This place is my personal favorite mechanic in the area. Their service is always fast and convenient. I have dropped in many times unannounced to find my job is done by the end of the day. The staff is all very amicable and welcoming. I have never been cheated. while using their services.
This place is the greatest! Matt and Mark are my guys when it comes to keeping my beloved 2002 Volkswagen Beetle running and maintained. I honestly never go anywhere else for service. There is no need to. My little Beetle has been something of a restoration project and there hasnt been a single thing that Ive brought to them that Matt and Mark couldnt handle. And they definitely let me know that Im valued as a customer as well. Give them a try! You wont be sorry you did!
Nothing like them scrapping my tint getting the sticker off then they decided to hide it and not tell me then put the sticker over it. unbelievable!!
Excellent service. I had broken down and Monro saw me as soon as I had my car towed to them. They ordered the water pump, which had seized and broken my serpentine belt, and had me on the road within a few hours on a Sunday when no other shops were open. Understanding I was 300 miles from home, they did a thorough testing to ensure I wouldn’t be stranded. Great people.
Called today to get my Ford Edge in for an oil change and I wasn’t expecting to get tight in but they told me to bring it in. I’ve been going there for a while now but I’d like to add that my visit today was the BEST experience I’ve ever had there! Customer service was AWESOME and they got me right in and out. I will definitely be going back there!
Recently brought my car here for the first time, Rich, the manager was AMAZING. He made me feel comfortable and respected. They only did and charged me for what we openly discussed. Highly recommend!
We took our car there for an inspection yesterday. Car was totally fine except for the sway bar links. The price for the repair was great, and they fixed it immediately. No complaints on that front. My main complaint, is that the car is now making a very loud rotational noise when driving between 20 to 40 miles per hour. We are going to have to take it somewhere else to get looked at. Which is a shame, because the guy who helped us was so nice.
I had great service for my oil change and general checkup. Brought my vehicle in earlier than scheduled and was out earlier than I planned. The price was right in line with competition and coupon was easy to use. This is my new regular auto center!

Due to an error at another instant oil shop, my tire Valve was broken so I had to get somewhere quickly to have it fixed. The guys here took me n immediately and helped me out and were very helpful! I will definitely be going there now for all my service needs!
Rich was extremely helpful. He walked me through exactly what was being done on my car and went through every single detail of the quote he gave me.There were a few mishaps with trying to set an appointment online and Rich was more than accommodating and got me in and out ASAP.WillMost definitely be back.
I picked up half a nail and needed a repair a couple hours before these guys closed, so I worked with Mark and he got me right in.Monro was actually the second place I called but the the first to respond in something resembling a friendly manner, so I gave them a shot.I dropped off the car and they were able to get me patched up and on my way before closing time. It’s hard to ask for more under the circumstances. I would highly recommend them and would definitely utilize them again!
I went to get my brakes fixed. Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable staff. The owner schooled me on how brakes works and how they should be properly clean and replaced. Price was reasonable too.
I made an appt for an oil change a week in advance. I waited over an hour for an oil change, that is absolutely insane. Especially considering i watched my car sit unattended for well over a half an hour. I will not be returning.They two people working were very friendly, just not impressed with timing and cleanliness of the restroom.
The only place I go for car problems and maintenance! Mark Novy is the man, hes very helpful and personable. They know what theyre doing and do an excellent job every time. Ive had some strange things wring with my car, for example- I bought tire valve caps online and they became permanently stuck on the valve stem. Mark carefully cut them off for me, avoiding having to buy all new tires. I am so grateful to have such a great place to go where I know I will be taken care of and not taken advantage of! THIS REVIEW IS MEANT FOR MR. TIRE IN CANANDAIGUA - NOT MONRO AUTO SERVICE, even though its the same ownership. The google review defaulted to the Monro store across the street for some reason.UPDATE: Kevin the GM did his best to remedy the situation and was reasonable in getting this addressed. Once we were able to communicate, he took ownership of the situation and spoke to the employees to ensure the job was complete to our satisfaction. thank you.I went in for brake service because of loud and persistent pulsating of the brakes...dropped car off Thursday at 9AM and headed out of town. Was told I’d receive a phone call with options on how to handle the job by Friday EOB.That never happened and I had to follow up Monday and ask what the story was. Was given a poor excuse. I asked for a quote of what needed to be done, and I reviewed and approved based on the advice I asked for and was given. I picked up the car and drove for the next few days hearing almost the EXACT same noise and pulsating brake behavior. I was told to drive it for a few days to see if the sound goes away or perhaps I would have to get the rotors done too.When an uneducated consumer asks for professional advice on brakes from what is supposed to be a reputable shop and the same symptoms reappear after services are rendered and paid for, it seems I didn’t get very good advice or a fair deal.I expect that Monro will make this right when I call to share this feedback, but buyer beware of poor communication , poor advice, and poor execution.If a member of management reads this and would like to respond verbally, I welcome a phone call. If not, I will share this directly.
Excellent service! Mark is an honest guy who says it as it is. Hes not going to pressure you into anything, but will thoroughly inform you of what needs to be done. We trust Monro Muffler as long as Mark is running it and recommend it highly.
Never have a bad experience with Monroe... Got my car heat fixed at another location last October and it stopped working a week ago due to the defect of the part. Took it in this location and they fixed it at no charge. Fast and awesome service. Definitely my number one choice for all kinds of car sercser.
Shoutout to the two young men holdin down the shop today! They were handling office work and fixing cars with their hands full but remained professional and took care of things.
Hands down the best service Ive ever gotten. Came in for an oil change and the guys found the answer to a problem Ive been having with my car that two other shops could not give me an answer to. Stood there in an empty store front with 0 vehicles in the bay for 20 minutes while the 3 employees sat out front on a bunch of tires chatting with some girl comparing tattoos... so I called the phone and that just continuously rang with no answer. I left without speaking to anyone, second time I’ve had a horrible experience this location! I will not even bother trying to go back and I suggest you avoid this place as well Unless you like wasting your time.
My family is extremely grateful for the amazing service we received at Monro. We arrived at Monro at 2:30 pm yesterday, a Sunday afternoon. We were on our way back to Canada from a trip to Boston, and our car was showing serious signs of trouble. Ted looked at our car, clearly told us what was wrong with it (broken caliper on drivers side front brakes), and explained he would try to get it fixed as soon as possible. We didnt think there was any chance that we would be back on the road that day--again, it was a Sunday afternoon, and we needed a part replaced. Amazingly the car was fixed by 5pm! Ted had his co-worker drive out to pick up a replacement caliper, they fixed the car, and then he clearly explained what they had done. We could not be happier with the fast and caring service we received.

After getting stranded in Canadaigua last Friday, we called around and the folks at Monro were the only ones willing to take a look at our car that day. Tim diagnosed the problem and he made it so we could make it back home. Mark explained everything to us and was extremely courteous. I am never spoken down to or in any demeaning way, which I am accustom to as a female, and they are always happy to answer my questions with as much detail as I need, showing extreme patience and will even SHOW me instead of making me take their work. Once again, great service! My wifes Honda Odyssey with 98000 miles needed an oil change and had a TPMS light on. Both issues were rectified quickly. A tire rotation and brake inspection was included with the oil change. With the high mileage it was also recommend to have power stearing flush.The head lights were also cloudy, at my request they proformed a lens restore , which has made the head lights look brand new. I have had my my vehicles serviced at this location for several years and trust there recommendations.
Mark, Matt, and the other team members are great. They have always made time to work on my cars, in emergencies. Reasonable prices.

2022-05-02Wanted to share my awesome experience at Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers (Canandaigua, NY) yesterday. I was in desperate need of new brake pads (they sounded SO BAD) and getting to an auto shop during the week is very difficult for me. I saw that Monro was open on Sundays and got there right when they opened. Even though I didnt have an appointment, they were able to get me in. They even stayed after closing in order to get my brakes fixed before the end of the day. Fran, the owner, called me with estimate before work was started and even noticed I was in need of a state inspection and took care of that as well. The final cost was very reasonable and there was no upselling of other services. I would highly recommend them and will return again!

2021-12-23Overall great job at a decent price. I brought in tires to be changed and have special wheels and rims. It was a challenge for the shop that they needed to take extra time on. I dont recall them charging me for the extra time so that was nice. My wheel sensors in the front wheels are switched backwards as I had low pressure warning the next day and had to fill with air. (That rim was leaking prior to service so not the shops fault). Anyway the low tire reported was passenger side Yet the low tire was on the drivers side. The leaking tire always used to be the passenger side front. Now the leaking tire is on the drivers side. All the shop did was put the sensor on the wrong side. I confirmed the directional tires arrows are going the correct way. So technically it should be safe and correct.

2021-11-22Home of the 1 1/2 hour oil change. It took a ridiculously long time for an oil change. No sorry for the wait or explanation. Really poor customer experience. Not sure what the issue was. Competition does it in 30 minutes. I sat waiting that long just to have my car brought in. 9:30 appointment, car was not brought in until after 10 and then it took another hour finally left after 11.

2021-09-06I picked up a screw in one of my tires. The 2-man crew get me in VERY quickly. My car was available to me in less than 10 minutes. I brought a book to read to pass the time and I didnt have time to read it. Good deal. The 2 guys were really efficient. Thanks to Both!

2020-08-12Rich the manager is amazing!! I had a nail in my tire & needed it patched. Rich and his team were able to get the job done in less than an hour! (Another local Monro franchise had told me Id have to wait over 2 weeks for an appointment). These guys are the most customer centered staff Ive had the pleasure to work with in many years! Im definitely going back.

2020-08-14These guys are absolutely amazing! I had an emergency on a trip from Buffalo to N.J. and called 5 different places And everyone told me I was screwed. I had almost given up but decided to call one more place and this was it. They said they could squeeze me in right before close. I 100% recommend them. They were super friendly and did a fantastic job. If you’re looking for a great quality service, look no further!

2020-06-23Rich and Ben were very friendly, professional, and made sure to thoroughly explain the work my Jeep needed to be safe (on an unexpected 12 hour drive) and what could wait until I returned home. They showed me the physical wear and parts on the vehicle instead of just explaining. They also squeezed me, understanding I was in a rough spot. I am impressed by their service and will return.
