Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers in other cities:
Ive had great experiences at this location. I had an appointment for an oil change today and showed up to see all bays full, and they still did the oil change and rotated my tires in less than half an hour, faster than Ive ever had before. They have also been accommodating when I showed up without an appointment and never turned me away. The waiting area has magazines and a bathroom. The only bad part trying to make a left to leave.
This place is so convenient and great!! The manager, Ramone, is a stand-up, stellar guy! He really knows his stuff PLUS provides excellent customer service. I will be putting my trust in this location as long as Ramone continues to work here. He has earned all my business. Quick state inspection- then when I was having tail-light issues, he helped me out without hesitation!
The team at Monro has treated me like family and I recommend them to all my friends! They have taken care of me like their daughter for three years with consistent excellence, timeliness, great communication, and they always are looking to keep me safe and my price as low as possible. Ive watched them handle a complex diagnostic process with great expertise and when the part that arrived for my power steering was flawed, they made sure to have their supplier get one in by the next morning. They go the extra mile to educate customers and to make sure Im getting the best service in the industry. Whats more, the team has great interpersonal and communication skills. They even drove me to my apartment when that is not a service they normally provide.
I have always visited the place to repair my vehicle, every time I’ve gone in they have treated me well. My car is almost new now and whenever I have a problem they are always there to fix it right the first time. Staff is very friendly and do a very good job. Highly recommend going here for any work on your vehicle.
I didnt have a service done but my hood latch on work truck was sticking and I was out of washer fluid for windshield. Ramon helped get the hood open. I offered to pay but he said no big deal. Being in the customer service industry myself, this was a huge deal. Thanks Ramon.
They have forgotten to schedule my appointment not once not twice but three times. They also sold me a “new” exhaust not even two years ago which has already rusted and fallen off. I was also quoted double for work that I got done somewhere else for half the price. If you are looking for a reliable mechanic I wouldn’t go here
This is a great place to take your vehicle! Whether it be for an oil change or other work Danny and his crew get the job done! I appreciated when I called to schedule an appointment Kyle offered me to choose the day and time and fit me right in. The staff are friendly both in person and on the phone. Its nice to be able to know a business you can trust to work on your vehicle without being overcharged or not being done right! Keep up the good work guys!
Place is well put together and people are nice. I got an oil change and tire rotation and everything was fine. My only complaint is that I dropped off my car mid-afternoon for an oil change, and they said they would call me when it was done. An hour before closing the next day and I still hadnt heard anything so I called them -- it had been done all day.
These guys really, really helped me out today. I needed a driveshaft removed from my car, had an issue with trailing a car I shouldnt have been pulling on a dolly, and my only way home was to remove the driveshaft. These guys were busy, it was near closing, and they got me back on the road. Very grateful, Thanks!
I was able to get an appt quickly and the staff was very polite. I was satisfied with the time it took to finish the work I needed. I would have given 5 stars but didnt because there was a discrepancy between what I was told initially and what was done. Why would you replace 2 wiper blades when only one was damaged? Fortunately, this was resolved to my satisfaction.
This is the worst auto repair place Ive ever been to. I bring my car in for an oil change and the next day my car doesnt start. This is the second time they have done this to me, 2 years ago I came in for an oil change and the next day my car doesnt start? What a coincidence, With both cars being relatively new cars. Ive heard from multiple people about the same issue happening to them as well. I would never step in this place ever again. The fact that I have never written a review about anything before but this place was so terrible I feel that maybe if I write this review, then I could save at least one person from putting their car into this hell hole of a place they call a business.
I highly recommend. John and the team could not have been nicer and more accommodating. My muffler had been noisy for a while but when I turned on my car this morning, the muffler was alarmingly loud. It sounded like I was trying to take off. I had to take it in for my own sanity, so I went to the Ithaca Monro, thinking they’d get me an appointment for that afternoon or the next day. They got me in immediately! They diagnosed the issue, replaced the muffler, and I drove out of the parking lot an hour and a half later with a quiet, healthy-sounding car. What John and the team didn’t know is that I had to put my dog down yesterday, and the muffler issue was almost enough to send me over the edge. I gotta say: the kindness I experienced at Monro really made me feel better. I felt listened to and taken care of. Thanks, guys.
I very recently was in the market for a new auto mechanic and was very happy with the service I received here. Dani the manager did a fantastic job of taking care of us, and even answered questions for us when we were traveling and our car started acting up. Dani was extremely competent, knowledgeable, courteous, and a genuinely great person who I absolutely trust to give excellent and fair service without any kind of run around. The service was fast and fair priced. Thanks guys!
I’ve used this location for the 3 years I’ve lived in Ithaca. They’re always friendly, and always let you know any additional issues they found, how serious they are, and how soon you should have it taken care of. They never do any work without asking first. Very good people.
I love this place. They are honest. Need I say more? Their service is outstanding and the staff are wonderful. They actually treat women well and do not try to over charge them. If you dont need something, they do not tell you that you do. They recommend what they think is right for your vehicle and your budget, not the most expensive item. Both me and my guy use Monroe exclusively.
I got a quote for an oil change and tire rotation of $103 for my F350 diesel. When I went to pick it up I was told the total was $196. I told the man behind the counter that I was quoted $103? He told me I didnt know what I was talking about and I must have told the them the wrong motor. Ford has 2 motors for this truck, a gas or a diesel so that could not have happened. He continued to berate me while getting louder as he spoke. He then accused me of trying to get something for nothing. After he said this several times I asked him to stop calling me dishonest and that I just wanted to pay my bill and get my keys. He was still being loud and told me he would take $20 off but that was it, you know what your doing. I let him know that I was quoted the original price and that is what I had planned to pay. After more yelling he said he would do that but you are not ever allowed to come back in this store. This was stated several times also. Ive been coming to Monroe for years. I asked him his name and he refused to respond. As I was walking out he continued to berate me in front of the other customers. When I inspected my truck I noticed my tires had not been rotated and took several pictures that clearly show this. I will be sure not to recommend this place to my employees or anyone else and they have lost a long time customer.Update- a week later and 4 messages left for “Theresa” - there is no Theresa, had to go to a different Monroe to get what I paid for and was with out my truck another day. No contact from customer service says a lot.
Just went in for an inspection which was quick. They let me know that my shocks were wearing out and a few other things that they noticed. The guy at the front told me nothing was urgent and there was no pressure to get repairs done. He answered all my questions and was easy to talk to!
Im a new resident of NY, from out of state and had to have my car inspected per NY state law. Took my car to this Monro Muffler and was told my car failed inspection due to tint on my windows. No big deal. I paid for the inspection and paid another company $80 to remove the tint from the windows. Was told by the mechanic there that I would not have to pay for the inspection again because the issue was so minimal to resolve.I came back to have the car re-inspected with the tint removed and the process took about 10 minutes. Employee came out and said I owed them $10 for the re-inspection (ambiguous amount since a standard state inspection costs $21). I explained to him that the previous person told me I wouldnt have to pay. Employee said, Take it up with the state...thanks for the advice, pal! I plan on doing just that and reporting this shop to NY state. This was flat out extortion for a mandated inspection.I felt like I was treated more like an annoyance than as a customer here. Rude, disrespectful, and extorting people for money here. I will never take my car here again. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!
Danny said magic words to me: You are more of an expert on whats normal for your car than I am, and with that, I let them do the work on my brakes! They did it while I waited early on a Saturday morning, and for a really reasonable price. He showed me the old pads, explained what needed to be done and why - and why I DIDNT need new rotors (unlike the last place that said I did). He knew I didnt have a lot of money, so despite noting that I need new tires and a bunch of other stuff, he didnt try to sell me anything other than what I came in for. I felt respected and taken care of and would recommend them.
Best kept secret in Ithaca, these guys make and keep appointments, knowhow to fix anything, have incredible deals all kinds of services (ie oil changes $14.95, deals on inspections), and are honest about what you need to have done! The service managers keep you updated and are great to deal with. We used to come here, left, now were back and have never beenmore pleased with the work done on our car and truck.
They were very kind and quick! I brought my car in when it was making weird noises and within half an hour they tightened up the lug nuts and sent me off satisfied without charging a penny! Also, they were very fair and responsible when I got my brakes fixed in the past.
A couple of weeks ago I heard noise coming from my front wheels. Since the noise was a new sound I assumed that all I would need was new brake pads. I called Monro on Elmira Road and they said that they could look at my car that day. When I brought my CRV in they found that the pads were completely gone and my brake disks had been damaged beyond repair. They showed me the damage and could repair the brakes that day. Everyone was friendly and Zach was very clear in his explanation. I had the brakes repaired and am glad that I had Monro do the work. I am completely satisfied with their service and cost. I also recommend Monro on Elmira Road for brake service. I will use them going forward.
TL;DR: Monro either lies or is completely incompetent, dont give them money.I had trouble with my engine as I was arriving at Ithaca. I stopped by several places, but it was a busy time, and they were all booked. Monro had availability, so I figured Id get it inspected there. The inspection was expensive, $40 extra from another place I found, but my car was having a lot of trouble and I figured knowing sooner was better.I guess I know why they werent very busy now. Not only was the inspection expensive, but they said they wanted $2000 to fix the problem. They said engine coolant was leaking around the spark plug, which I and my mechanic back home thought was ridiculous.I take my car to another place for a second opinion. They say nothing about engine coolant, and only say a spark plug was and coil was bad because water had been leaking onto it from a bad drain (this actually explained another problem my car was having with water leaking inside when it rains). So either Monro was lying, or they dont know what theyre doing. This place wanted only $80 for the inspection, and only $400 to fix the problem (of which the $80 inspection is credited).I spent over 25% of what another place wanted to fix the problem, just asking Monro what it was. Not only that, they didnt diagnose it correctly. I went there because I didnt have any other options of places to go that day, but I guess I know why they werent busy.
Dont ever bring your car here. I have never written a negative review before on any business because I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but this experience takes the cake. I came to get my car inspected, me being inexperienced did not realize that it would fail no matter what if the check engine light was on. I walked in for my appointment, told the guy up front I was there for the inspection and that my light was on. He said well take a look and took my car. Came back an hour later, makes me sign papers before even telling me that I failed. He told me then that anytime there is ever a light on it wont pass inspection. Something he NEVER mentioned when I told him about my light in the beginning. So I said, if you knew the light was on before I even gave you my keys, essentially knowing I would fail, then why would you continue with the inspection and charge me the money when you knew the outcome? You should have told me to go get it checked out and fixed BEFORE wasting my money and time on an inspection you knew I would fail from the start. Ive spent a lot of money on tires and oil changes there and am so disappointed and angry about how money hungry this move was. I will NEVER be coming back and you shouldnt go there either.
This place is amazing! Today my vehicle broke down while we were in Ithaca. We live an hour away and had no way to get home. We were able to get the Jeep to Monroe Muffler where John and Joe stayed over two hours past their closing time just to fix my vehicle so we could make it home. Their customer experience and dedication to making sure we didnt get stranded here was amazing and something that you just dont see often. Cant thank these guys enough and would hands down recommend the two of them by name to anyone. A++ service!
My headlight decided to go out on a Sunday. Not one to give the police a reason to pull me over, I found the only mechanic open.Receptionist was a peach. It took about 10 minutes IF that. My only complaint was that I told my boss I’d be half an hour late and then I had 20 minutes to spare and get some food. Oh wait that’s not a complaint at all. 😂
I highly recommend this shop! The staff is always welcoming and kind, they dont try to up-sell you on services you dont need - but will make sure to let you know if they notice something that needs attention. The manager, Danny, is one of the very few people I trust my car with and is always my go-to person if I think I have an issue. You will not be disappointed!
Dear Monro,I have been going to your shop for the last three years, and enjoy using my discount coupons for an oil change. Your managers are always pleasant and appear honest when they tell me something is wrong with my car. I have to admit, once I know something needs to be fixed, I do shop around for the best deal. At first, your repair prices never could compete with Toyota or Honda (I know that seems odd, but its true nonetheless). But now I have found you have the better price. Therefore, I also take my car to you for repairs. Other than the sometimes very loooooong wait for my car to be serviced, I am really happy to give you my business.Recently, I visited your shop for an oil change. A woman perhaps in her 80s holding her Pomeranian came in for an oil change as well. She sat down on the chair to wait and fell asleep holding her dog in her arms. After a while, the service manager came out and woke her up. He tried explaining to her that she didn’t need an oil change; she just had one done only 500 miles ago. She appeared to be confused and had a difficult time understanding what she was being told. She tried to explain that she received a coupon in the mail. She was upset since she already written out the check; she didn’t know what to do. He was very patient and explained over and over again, that she did not need an oil change and there was no reason for it to be done. She seemed more upset that she had already written out the check. The service manager told her to void the check. Finally, she accepted that she wasn’t going to have an oil change (or use her check) and left. Before she walked out, she mentioned that she only drives to the store on Thursdays.Today, my faith in auto mechanics and service managers was renewed. I witnessed a very beautiful moment. I will no doubt continue to bring my cars to Monro and recommend you to anyone that will listen.Thank you Monro.
If I could give zero Stars I would. The first time I went here was to have my alignment done and it was done so poorly that I had to go back a second time and have it fixed. Now I understand that sometimes things go wrong so I decided that I would give them a second chance. This time my water pump went in my car so I brought it there to have it fixed. It turned out that when the water pump broke it had leaked onto the timing belt so both of those things needed to be replaced. Well the mechanics there screwed up the timing for the timing belt and destroyed the entire engine of my car which now needs to be completely replaced. They are nice guys but incredibly incompetent at their jobs.
I have only been here for state inspections so I cant comment on their other work, but they always provide a five-star experience. They honor appointment times, have a clean waiting room with a restroom, and they are professional in their work. The counter staff are also courteous and efficient.
I have next to know car knowledge or experience but when I took a car in, the staff were really friendly, helpful, and patient. It’s expensive of course, which is to be expected so I’d only recommend it for if you need to order parts and get them installed or do something else a local car place (like Monroe up the hill) can’t do.
They kept my truck most of the day and then wanted $1600 to make the parking brake pass. It was a 10 minute job in my driveway to adjust the star screw. Any competent mechanic would have known how to do this job. It was either gross ignorance or egregious upselling. Take your pick.
Stay far away from this ripoff joint. My daughter came in with a blown tire valve stem that had TPMS sensor as part of stem. I told my daughter to tell them just replace valve stem without TPMS. Tech got on phone with me and said they couldn’t do that because of liability issue (can’t disable safety feature on car). Did some research later and come to find out this is totally false. While they cannot disable a safety feature, if it is already broken when it comes in shop, they are not responsible as they are not disabling it. Quote went from $40 to $120 for labor and part. Quoted 90 for sensor. Amazon lists a bunch of universal sensors for $45.
4 minutes in this place and I knew I didnt want to have their service. Super expensive!!! I have a basic leak in the converter and they are charging me $40 for the smoke test, $60 for the piece and on top of that $100 PER HOUR. If I could give zero stars I would. Who charges per hour and for the work? Definitely not recommending this place.
When I went into Monro Muffler/Brake in Ithaca, I wanted just my oil changed. I had started hearing a strange noise, though, and asked to see if they could figure out what the problem was. However, I explicitly asked to not FIX the problem because I wanted to get a second opinion afterwards. When they called to tell me that my oil had been changed, the man spoke very quickly and was not clear about what he was going to do to fix the problem. I got flustered because I didnt understand but he was rushing me, so I said yes. My car ended up needing a brake pad replacement in both the front and back, and I was way overcharged for it. I understand that Im a woman, and further, dont really know a lot about cars, but I felt cheated and taken advantage of. When I told them to not do the front brake pads, and I would just come pick it up, the man on the phone yelled saying that there were people waiting in the lobby (when I arrived 20 minutes later, there was one person waiting), and that I wouldnt be able to drive it away. He was very condescending -- he said that I cant drive a car that has broken brakes, as though I was an idiot. But my brakes worked before I dropped the car off, so that was very suspicious. I did end up driving the car, and will never go back to Monro for anything.
Have done business here few times. They were quick and friendly. Took our camper there to be inspected but couldn’t inspect it because we needed a part. So got part fixed it. Called today to have them inspect and they told us they don’t inspect campers. We told them we already came and had it done before and he blew it off. Said we don’t do it. You need to go somewhere else. Won’t be taking anything to them again.
Very very bad serviceMy appointment was 11.30. A man said, It is not possible to set up now. If it comes to One Thirty, it will be set up. But after I left at 1.30, a man said, There is no inspection paper and I came on leave from my job. His service is very bad. Didnt call me worst service ever
I went in for an oil change before a long road trip. I was dismayed when they recommended my brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Dani brought me into the garage to take a look before making a decision - sure enough, it was needed. Dani was very patient and helpful as I checked to see if it might be covered under my extended warranty. No luck there, but great service all around. They offered me a lifetime warranty on the break pads for getting both done. 5 stars for Monro; 0 stars for my old brake pads.
Experience so far has been terrible. We went in for an oil change less than 150 miles later we experienced engine issues on a six month old engine - four bad hydraulic lifters due to low oil pressure to the engine. A new oil filter fixed the oil pressure issue immediately but we had to pay to have our engine repaired. Not only has Monro so far not come up with a system to test or determine if there was any fault, but the employee specifically told me that it would be impossible to determine any fault with an oil filter so I should not even waste my time.Do not go here, even for an oil change. After the oil change they had tried to sell us 1200+$ worth of work that other places would charge ~800 for, and they have refused to even acknowledge that the oil change they performed could have had adverse effects on our engine.
I drove my vehicle 780+ miles to this particular Monro because I simply must have it serviced in close proximity to an Ivy League University. When I got to the shop, an attentive and keen-eyed technician immediately informed me that I wasn’t driving a car but was actually riding a pile of blind, hungry sea turtles. I was blown away by how quickly they were able to diagnose the issue. Apparently, this species, endemic to several Pacific archipelago, don’t have brakes OR mufflers. Even though this location was unable to accept paper bags of warm gravy as payment, I still found my experience at the Ithaca Monro to be accommodating & efficient. I highly recommend this service center, but pro tip: do make sure your car isn’t just a writhing mass of aquatic reptiles before you go!
Told me replacing my brakes would be $500, and then got a call saying that oh it is actually going to cost $1600. I told them that is crazy, that I will take it somewhere else and then they tell me they can not put the brakes back together so I would have to get the car towed. Also went back to get there price match guarantee. They only match with other overpriced maintenance shops like Midas so good luck trying to get them to bring there price down. Avoid this place!
They once tried to rip me off by saying my car needed something done, which was a lie (took to Honda of Ithaca to get a second opinion). I gave them another chance, and brought my car in to get oil changed and they forgot to put the cap back on! I would not recommend this place at all.
I have my kid walk in Sunday at 1 p.m. he says he has 8 cars and thats it for today I ask if I can make app he says no? I say to myself WAIT WHAT i thought this was a business but its and old rude jack a$$. I in my driveway could do 8 cars in four hours dick. You have a whole shop. So whatever just another customer lost. This is all my personal opinion Im sure they have many happy customers its just sad I fell through the cracks.
Whenever Ive needed something done wether it be last minute or scheduled, Kirk and his team of mechanics are always more than willing to help to get the problem fixed as soon as they can. Forward, honest and only wanting the best for their customers. Definitely my go to.
The staff here has always been extremely honest and helpful. I have always had any unexpected issue explained to me in detail. Every question has been answered and I have always been given a fair price. Four years of consistently honest and helpful, good quality work.
Over the past 18 months, while living in Ithaca, I have brought my car and the car of my son to monro muffler. Honest, quality work that includes solutions that are not the most expensive. On an occassion a mechanic was brought in from home to solve a problem on a Sunday so that my son could return to Boston! They have earned my trust and I now count them as the mechanics I will go to for all automotive problems.
I took my truck to Monro to have the heater core replaced. When I got it back the airbag light was on - not functioning. The manager has told me he cannot fix it, and Id better go to the dealer. This is ridiculous. They broke it - they should fix it! Now he has suggested it was that way when I brought it in. This place is bad news. They will not take responsibility for their error and are trying to blow me off. Of course they have cashed my check, and I am driving without airbags.
Shout out to John (who was filling in today from his store in Cortland because the Ithaca store manager was on vacation) and Service Tech T. Campbell for fixing my windshield wipers today when they stopped working as I was driving down Route 13 in the pouring rain with my Granddaughter in the car! They both went above and beyond to fix my car. What they dont know is that they stopped working in front of a Car Dealership on Route 13 just before them who refused to help me! So I drove to Monroe hoping they could help me! Thank you both!!
This is definitely a NO-NO!!! They are just trying to squeeze money from your car. They wont let you go for free if they could find anything to be fixed, they wont fix it if they could find anything to be replaced, and they will tell you the parts are out of stock when you require a warranty. Even they give you the warranty, they will find a way to squeeze some money by trying to find fault on your side. The experience here is terrible and both Monros in Ithaca are NO-NO-NO-NO-NO!!!
Same yourself some money and time and DO NOT GO to Monro. I went to get my exhaust welded because it was making noise. They guy told me 70-80 bucks to get it fix. When I went back he wanted to charge me $800!!! I refused and asked him to take out everything he put on. When I left one of the workers told wanted to buy my car for $1000. They are the bigger scammers in Ithaca. Please, DON’T GO! At the end got my car fixed for $300.
Unfortunately for this review, the lowest rating possible is poor-fair, which is innaccurate. Terrible, Awful, or Avoid at all costs would be more accurate. If youll take my word for it, dont go here. Instead, go to Coles. Those guys are knowledgeable, polite, fast, honest, and stand behind their work.If you want my story: Im an automotive engineer, I know my way around cars. I take a car in to a shop when a job requires tools I dont have and dont want to buy. I took my car in for a NYS inspection (which I obviously cant do myself) shortly after doing some work on it, and the OBD monitors werent fully ready yet (because I hadnt completed two driving cycles). They wanted to charge me $200 to enable the monitors complete B.S. You enable the monitors by driving mixed city/highway for about 30 minutes, starting with a cold car, letting it cool again, and then doing the same thing. I asked what they planned to do, and the tech threw together a string of technical terms that meant absolutely nothing, and proceeded to tell me that its complicated, you probably wouldnt understand. I walked out.
I went in for an oil change and ended up spending 1400 on a full front and back brake repair and coil spring replacement. The car had passed inspection just a few months prior. The brakes now squeak in ways they never did before. It seems like much of the repair was unnecessary.
Ithacas biggest shuysters! The have the highest labor rate in town $99/ hour. Bigger than the dealer!! They inflate prices on pars and lie to you with a straight face. The job they do is very mediocore for the price they charge. They are a horrible value for your money.

2022-05-14While we were in Ithaca, one of our tires went flat. We put on the spare but were in urgent need of new tires. Monro got us in almost immediately even though it was a very busy Saturday. They had the type of tire we wanted in stock, and we were on our way in about an hour.

2022-06-21They can’t even diagnose a blown fuse. my cars gages weren’t working while driving and i took it there thinking it was a fuse, they said it wasn’t and we had to take it to a dealership specializing in ford and when we went to maguire we were told it was just a fuse. smh

2022-06-20Vehicle was driven off the lift and damaged. Now I have to deal with the claims department on what should of been just a simple state inspection.

2022-07-11I was getting an oil change and knew that I needed to use synthetic oil, but I wasnt expecting to pay nearly $100. I thought it would be $65 plus tax. I was surprised by that. I also didnt realize how much longer I could go between oil changes.

2021-12-17The manager did not price match with Walmart. The exact same tires were cheaper at Walmart. Secondly, I have purchased lifetime tire installation for my car from Monro back in 2018 but I was still charged another lifetime installation fee ($30/tire) for the new set of tires I bought. I am not sure how does that policy works.

2021-09-02These guys are awesome! They are super friendly and easy to talk to about what is going on with your car. Joe especially was super helpful in explaining what I needed to fix for the NY state inspection and helped me compare prices and options. They are also fast and got everything I needed done all in one day. Great service and great prices!

2020-12-22I dont typically leave reviews but I feel this is warranted. I recently moved to Ithaca, NY from Maine and I needed to find a convenient and cost effective place to get my oil changed and perform regular maintenance on my vehicles. Im so glad I stopped in here. Management is awesome and staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rates are good (synthetic) and they always answer all my questions without trying to push add-on services or parts. In fact they have taken the time to look over a few things with my vehicle each time Ive been here as a courtesy. If you read this, thank you for your help. Its greatly appreciated.

2017-04-11I am not a corporate car shop kinda person, in general. Monroe on Elmira Rd in Ithaca is the exception to that rule. Always friendly and kind staff, clean waiting room with no obnoxious music, and reasonable prices on maintenance services. They really do a great job and I will continue to bring my car here as well as recommended it to others.

2021-07-13Monro auto service is a full-service auto shop and they do the best of their abilities and I like the fact that even if they cant do something they find a way to be able to do it their prices are very affordable as well

2021-04-06Ive never left a review before, but the experience I had at this place was so baffling, I felt compelled. This monro was supposed to do warranty repairs for Carvana. The manager kept not calling, going MIA, telling me he was in touch with the warranty company before two weeks later, with my car still un-repaired sitting in their lot. That manager then went on vacation, leaving in charge a gentleman who insisted he didnt want to get in the middle of my repairs, didnt know why my parts were not coming in and told me that the manager I had been dealing with was lying to me. He repeatedly told me that he didnt need this job, and that he could walk out right now and find something better. He insisted that I had gotten him in trouble by calling Monro customer service, which I did not do and that I could come pick my car up right now but I would be at square one. So evidently he was right, the manager had lied to me when he said they were waiting for one part to come in. After telling me the part would be in Friday March 26th, he told me they would be in April 2nd. Then when that didnt happen, he told me they would be in May 7th. That is 7 weeks after the car hit his lot.Not only was this shop not equipped to make repairs in a timely fashion, they werent forthright about it, effectively keeping my car off the road for longer. As if that wasnt enough, the manager lied to me repeatedly about being in touch with the warranty company. They were willing to help expedite parts so that I could get repairs done more quickly, but they needed Monro to call to confirm it with them. (SilverRock has a terrible system, another review.) When I finally made contact with the warranty company on March 30th, they let me know that they hadnt been in touch with Monro or the manager since March 19th. Again, keeping my car off the road longer. On top of those things, when I tried to call and figure out why this was happening, I was berated by a guy seemingly unaware of anything going on at the shop he was running and refusing to get involved in the repairs being arranged by a guy on vacation we threatened to quit several times like I was his boss, keeping me off the road even longer. They were clearly not interested in doing the repairs, but wouldnt just say that. They were rude, lazy and disrespectful of my time. Anybody who relies on a car for their livelihood knows how inconvenient it is to be without a car for a few days. These folks were telling me that I would be off the road for two months, eventually, once I started bothering them every day.Carvana later moved the car to a dealership. Still dont know when I will get my car back. But I wont be having maintenance done at Monro and I would suggest you dont either.
