Had a blast with my Maggie! This bar is a pretty big place, it has darts, a pool table, and Im not sure what else, but plenty of room. Youre likely to run into lots of regulars here. The service is standard at thefire. This place is so huge I would imagine that they should have bands performing but they dont. Say hello to Paulie at the door!

Fun atmosphere, pretty big considering how far back it goes but Everytime I go theres a lack of diversity. If I had to guess, 98% of the population here is European. They do have darts and other games so that cool and 2 bars if it gets crowded.
As part of the LGBT community I did not feel welcomed at all. The bouncer had hatred towards me and my partner as soon as he saw us. I would not reconnend this to any fellow LGBT. Complete waste of time try another bar for a friendly atmosphere.
I’m Costa Rican in Buffalo on a work assignment. The security guy refused my ID and a client at the deck told me ”there’s plenty of other bars, man”. If you’re a decent human being, dont go to this racist place. (Way to celebrate their ’Irish-immigrant’ theme).
I love Brick Bar! They play great music and have an awesome atmosphere. As for the bartenders..they could use some work. I came on a Friday night 4/13, early only around 10:30pm. Go up to the bar and the bartender was the rudest girl I’ve ever dealt with. Normal crowd, I’m waiting at the bar for a while noticing all the guys are being waited on first. When she should have been taking care of first come first serve, but I get it, whatever. That’s not the problem, the problem was that she just lost it from all the stress I guess and he yelled at all the people waiting “IF YOU HAVE CARD I’M NOT TAKING CARE OF YOU”..oh? A lot of customers use card and it’s not a cash only place so I’m not sure what made her decide she was just all the sudden “not gonna take cards” from people. So I finally get taken care of and first snippy thing she says to me is “you better not be using card”. Wow..why’re you a bartender if you hate people this much? Lol I was shocked that she talked to me that way and I just simply said “I guess not..” and luckily I had cash on me. Such poor service and needless to say, I went to the back of the bar for the rest of my drinks where the bartender back there was really nice and awesome.
Brick Bar is great. We go there nearly every time I come visit my friends in Buffalo. It somehow still feels chill, even when packed with people. Go check it out. Its fun.
Its a dump full of drunks and underage kids, but its pretty cheap and usually fun. Trough urinal in the bathroom is a turnoff, until you find yourself puking in it and realize you dont have to aim. I dunno, this place is gross but I have some fond memories, so it gets 3 stars.
Very rude bar tender. Kept staring at my perfectly fine ID, then asks me for a second ID... Someone is having a power trip today. Gotta get this guys name. He should never work with customers.
The worst experience I’ve ever had!!!Was sitting with a friend, ordering a drink, counting the money to give the bar tender, all of a sudden out of no where she takes the drink and throw them away, then there was a bottle of beer half empty, she took it and poured it on me and my friend’s head!All my life going to pubs ordering drinks I’ve never experienced such shame!!That was Saturday night on Jan 28, 2018
I, an out of Towner , was ready to experience the night life that downtown Buffalo had to offer. The one and only bar I entered, (based off of recommendation) Mulligans . The reason why I am granting these two stars are bc of three things. One, upon entering the bar the security guards were extremely rude and over excessive with checking identification. Two, a woman was cut in the bathroom on her foot by another patrons glass that was dropped in the stall next to her. Security was notified (by me), and they just stood in the doorway and watched her bleed and proceeded to tell her to go to the emergency room instead of helping. After deliberating what they should do, they finally found someone to help.Three, its a must that I complain about the music . The touch tunes jukebox has absolutely no variety whatsoever. When I played a song I was called out for it .All in all, I would never recommend this bar to anyone.
Ok drinks, Ok price, ugly and bitchy bartenders, bouncers who like to touch you and drag you by your neck and kick you out for no reason. I have no idea how this even went down, bartenders and bouncers were exchanging some weird signs and then the bouncers just decided to escort us out. What I mean by escort is not explaining what we even did, and grab you by the neck forcefully and gently pushing you out of the bar. So yeah, go there for your birthday only to get kicked out for no reason.PS. Maybe I got kicked out because Im Asian? I guess I will never know since they never even explained why.
Everyone stops here at least once if they are on the Allen strip. Why ? No cover! Its a dive bar with a juke box that plays all the music. One long bar in the front and one small bar in the back. It usually gets packed back there.The bathrooms are dirty, but most bathrooms in dive bars are. If youre a Buffalo local, you usually run into other locals whom you tend to see time and time again....which can be a good and a bad thing ;)
Wow the bartenders both were real rude to me, then they had the big chubby bouncer with a ginger beard, throw me in a choke hold and kick me out! I was literally doing nothing wrong besides spending my hard earned money ( I only managed to have one drink.) Now I have neck and chest pain, my friends all witnessed it. I have contacted the state liquor authority, filed a complaint, and contacted my lawyer. Getting physical with me was uncalled for as I was 100% compliant. Now Im injured and in pain because of this place.
Great atmosphere. Two bars inside for convenience. Usually packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Popular for the younger crowd on allen. Nice place to drink and socialize.

Gets pretty crowded on the weekends, multiple dashboards and two bars is a plus. The jukebox is always playing a great selection of popular music.

I visited Brick last night and I had the worst experience! Security was sooooooo rude and prejudice for no reason at all! I was very embarrassed as I’m to the way I was treated and I will also be calling and speaking with management about it!

Very good prices and the staff and patrons are very friendly and fun to to be with also security is right there if there where any problem my wife and felt very safe being there.

2021-03-28I was searching the area, not even remembering the name of this place. We spent some drunken nights here back in the early to mid 70s. Awesome times! Im amazed that it still exists and doubt that you could encounter the debauchery of those heady days. Thanks for the memories!

2018-04-30This place is amazing. The music and atmosphere is always great, bar is easy to get to even when the place is packed. Drinks are reasonable, bartenders are always super chill. Love going to this place on a Saturday night with a group of friends. A most try for anyone looking to go out.

2019-08-03This place has turned into a nightclub on the weekends where from the entrance to the back bar, it is shoulder to shoulder with people rubbing up against each other. Last time I was there, there was probably more people in there than is allowed by the fire department. I would bet good money the place was over capacity. There were so many people packed into the back bar area that if there was ever a fire, then this establishment would have turned into a deathtrap. It is not safe.

2020-02-23I actually loved it but you cant give it 5 stars because it is a magnificent dive bar. Rachel and Josh were great bartenders. Just loved the atmosphere. I will be going back to Allentown soon.

2015-03-12This is your mid-range bar. Everything is pretty much average. Theres really nothing to exemplary about the place. The drinks are made okay and theyre priced fairly. The place has more walking room than other places, but it definitely attracts a crowd. Theres a certain type of person who goes to Brick but youll always find that pretty much anyone would go here. Jukebox, pool table, smoking patio, the usual amenities are here. I wouldnt go here at the end of the night because the talent tends to leave early. But its not a bar to ignore if youre looking for a bustling bar.
