For whats still there, its fine. Someone should turn all of the mostly empty malls like this into senior living. Build a nice green park for them where the giant parking lot is now. The infrastructure, plumbing and electricity are all there, just turn it into a bunch of residential apartments with home care aids and assisted living. Or you know.. we could just not fix broken window.
This mall definitely needs more clothing stores..Men/ women and especially children store,/ babies all these children in Newburgh wheres all the baby stores..needs more activities for children..u have to go to Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Palisades to keep the kids entertained, for all these things... NEWBURGH MALL needs to definitely be updated right now its dead and stored have a big turn over , one minute their their, next their gone!!!
VIP NAIL SPA PRO HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!! I mean the business owner, was so disrespectful that words cannot express my disgust. These people do not deserve any business from the minority community, they hate us and love our money!! Do not go there!!!
This mall is long past its prime but it still has some purpose. The are still some big name stores. The main reason I go here is for my eye doctor, Dr. Collins (who Id give 5 stars). Sometimes I go here for shoes, or office supplies. If I really need to go shopping, I usually head for the Middletown Galleria instead.
1st time going and last time going. Half the stores were vacant, smelled like weed throughout the place and the shoe store we went to, I guess to prevent theft, had only the right shoe in each box. So the one person working had to go to the back to get the matching shoe and had to do that for each of the 4 customers ahead of us.
Had went to this mall when it first opened back in the day. Was on vacation this time and even thou times had changed because people are buying on line I choose to support the businesess inside. Was great and fun time at the mall. I went to Sears and bought some tools at a great price and a shirt. Walk the mall and remembered how it was back in the day. Folks these businesses could use your patronage. Dont be foolish and buy online shop your local businesses they will appreicate it. Plusyou will keep the money local and the economy going. Its a win-win!!!
Has been a safe haven from the beginning. My twin and I were born in this town in 1991, and we knew the mall from way back to our day. It had everything, and we never felt as if that didnt mean something for our childhoods. What I can say, is despite the die off of malls due to e commerce, it still manages to stand tall. Support local, and on Saturdays they even do a market in the parking lot. A good run by, even on a sour day. Youll be glad you took the time to visit and drop on by.
This mall is OK if you need just a few things, would not recommend it for a day out at the mall, they have 1 pizza spot then a pretzel booth in the center strip and thats all for food, the few stores that they do have are good stores just not a large or medium selection or variety of stores to shop from...has great potential.
It is a small shopping center comparison to other malls in New York but have a big parking lot and 2-3 food store. Doesnt have any floors. Only single storied. They have a authentic Mexican store inside which offers very good service. They have a pizzeria. Have a mix-martial art school. And few other stores.
I have shopped at Newburgh Mallsince it first opened many years ago. Located on 1401 NY- 300 (also called Union Ave), Newburgh, NY 12550. I still enjoy shopping here although some stores have closed. Soon they will begin major renovations and making a Casino and bringing in alot more new stores and a lot of jobs. All major highways are close to Newburgh Mall NYS Thruway I-87, I-84.
Not enough stores to keep you interested to go unless youre doing a quick stop. Stores are closing their doors, then a quick pop store will open to later close its doors. Retail is an revolving door for the mall. I hope things pick up soon so you dont have to travel so far to shop.
Very nice. Its a little on the deserted/quiet side, but still very nice offerings. I truly hope that Sears doesnt give up the ghost, and that will certainly signal the death-knell for retail in general, and hurt this place a lot.I love that the Newburgh library has a branch here, as its a great location, and a very nice implementation of a remote branch.Hopefully theres enough patronage to keep this place alive, as it seems to provide a good service to the area.
Office Depot and a few remaining survivors of this once bustling mall are all thats left of the lineup ( once graced by Sears, KB Toys, and Time Out arcade ) from this establishments heyday. Glad something remains, but a sad indicator of the current state of affairs, as is echoed by many vacant merchant stalls in half to completely empty malls all across America.
I was fortunate enough to see this mall on opening day over 30 years ago. It was awesome back in the day. Today, it cannot keep up with the huge population and demands of its area. Stores are limited and great places that made it once shine are closed. Its still a charming little mall with some potential but sadly ecnomic woes have halted the area from much needed growth. Newburgh is the problem. Over taxed and over populated. Better malls in poughhkeepsie and Middletown.
I still enjoy strolling a mall with my grandchildren going in and out of stores and catching a meal. You cant do that on line over a computer. This one is not to big and yet big enough. Take a walk, get some movement in those bones lol look around, socialize instead of sitting and looking at a computer screen all day. It may just be me, but I still enjoy strolling around the almost extinct bookstores looking at things up close and personal & so do my grandchildren. Come on people support our stores & our workers.
So I got glasses here in August paid for insurance and everything. First time owner and lost them. Since then they have been very unhelpful, nobody seems to have any record or information on my visit, and I get a lot of “mmmmsorry just talk to a manager”. I’ve spoken to both male and female, I think Laura, managers and each employee, except for 1 woman who I have not spoken to or seen until today. I’ve called and visited this place several times and just get an unhelpful shrug. I even tell them the month and everything that I come but instead of using that information they just look me in the eye and say “yeah it’s only 2017” I was nowhere near Newburgh that year. I don’t understand how I could pay hundreds and get insurance and have no record of my visit. Honestly it’s the worst service I’ve ever had. I’m going to keep doing everything in my power to get my glasses and it will be the last time I use this store. Loved the optometrist and my original sales associate but everyone has been less than helpful. I keep getting told to come in, which I don’t understand what the difference of me yelling over the phone or to their face is, and when I come in they don’t even focus on helping me.Lord help me if I get another “hmmmmmm sorry”Worst service associates ever. Best optometrist he’s a sweet heart and we talked about Jewish traditions he’s the best.
This mall might not be as full of life as it used to be, but its still a place that I find myself going to either for the restaurants inside or the stores. There is a good variety of kiosks and stores, even a martial arts studio. If you find this review helpful, please leave a like
Worst mall Ive ever been to. The mall has no variety, restrooms with no locks, barely any lighting and smells horrible. Along with in-stall trash bins that look like no one has cleaned it in years! The stores look sketchy and you have to search through 100s of 1 size until you find a Medium, Large or X-Large! Havent tried the food, but I also didnt want to stay there another minute. To put it short, it look like a big 99 cent store.
Got on line at 7pm to see Santa, he was there until 8:30pm, and then at 7:30pm the rudest women ever came over and told the family in front of us to go to the other side because they would be her last family. She told our family that we would not be able to seen because they were leaving at 8:30 SHARP. I asked if we waited to and they were done before then could we be seen and she repeated that they would only be there until 8:30 sharp and to just come back tomorrow because she knew it would take them that long to get through everyone else there. I said that this was the only time that worked with my familys schedule and she said oh well. So extremely disappointed with the poor service and rudeness of this woman. You would think that getting there an HOUR AND HALF prior to closing would have been fine but no.
Its a dying mall. They have a couple of good jewelry places and if you need sneakers that is the place you want to be. The pizza place is good and the Mexican restaurant is kinda great and really decently priced. The pretzel place is ok but if the cc machine is working who knows cause for the most it doesnt. That is really it by way of food. They still have an F.Y.E. and I love that place for all things novelty.
PLEASE DO FIX THISE KIDS RIDE! ITS BEEN A YEAR JUST FOR TAKING 3 QUARTERS WITH NO SIGN SAYING OUT OF WORK. I came back in a year and it took my 3 quarters again and no one put any sign in here also no once care. Wish they mai tain more better. The octopus and star fish on its side. This is the only one whis has not been working since 2019.

2022-02-09Dead mall, most of the storefronts are empty and the ones that do have stores are mostly shoe stores. Ive heard the mall management is pretty unfair to its stores. My conspiracy theory is that theyre trying to get everyone to leave so that they can use the entire mall for the casino theyre putting in.

2022-05-03It’s a struggling, dying local mall. Lots of no-name shops and empty storefronts. Oddly they’re in the process of adding a Resorts World Casino in the spot where there used to be a Bon Tons. Most stores were closed on the Sunday that I happened to visit the mall (local laws, I guess). I was able to walk around the Sears, which felt like an opportunity to say goodbye to an old acquaintance. Although there were clothes on the racks, they tried to hide their limited inventory by placing one or two items on each rack.

2021-11-30The only reason Im giving this place 1 star is because they have a bath and body works there. Other than that, there are no stores in this mall. Theres a few shoe stores, in fact thats basically all there is there; shoe stores and stores with ghetto/cheap clothes. There are no name brand stores there except bath and body works and Sears--thats it. Due to the fact that almost every store in the mall is closed down, its obviously not busy at all. Im really surprised that the Newburgh mall is still open with such few stores surviving there. B&BW must be keeping that place open. While I was there, I saw very few shoppers until I found Bath and Body works (B&BW) and its like every shopper that was at the mall was in that one store. Its sad what this place has come to; I remember going there as a kid, eating at the ground round with my family, and overall just having a good experience there but not anymore. Its so quiet and empty now. Its sad that that mall has gotten to that point. If they had more stores, Id give more stars.

2022-02-28The mall itself is dying a slow death. It can be brought back to life with fresh business Interests. If you need sneakers, thats the way to go.

2022-01-18Always enjoyed the Newburgh Mall especially around the holidays but sadly to say today 11/24/2021 was the last day for Sears Automotive/service to be open to the public. So please please shop Sears for the holidays and try to keep this struggling store alive its one of the last Sears remaining in the Hudson Valley now it is up to you to keep the store going

2022-02-15The Newburgh Mall certainly seen better days, and many of the storefronts are closed, but I remember it being a very nice place when I was younger, and hopefully it will be renovated soon, so Im giving it 4 stars since it does have two nice stores, is not large and crowded like other malls, and I have nice memories going here when I was little, going on the little carousel and going to Bon Ton. Since Bon Ton went out of business, there havent been very many stores here, but Claires and Bath and Bodyworks are amazing! Although I dont like the idea of the casino, I think it will help revive the mall and it will start getting updated soon.
