Those lucky people with excellent judgement who choose Oak Brook Commons as their residence know how comfortable it is to live here. One & two bedroom apartments surrounded by country views of beautiful green and exquisite flowers, all conveniently private yet so close to restaurants, shopping and markets. I, Rick Kelsey and Marilyn Hunter have been so comfortable in our two bedroom apartment that seems like our own little house with so much space. The area is nestled in privacy, quiet and respectful. The staff is always there to keep up the grounds and take care of all our details from plowing to repairing every thing one needs. It gives a family-like feeling to have this security and feel safe.I personally invite you to come and observe where your next living space will be. You will feel at home here at Oak Brook Commons.

Clean, huge apartments, attentive staff! We had the pleasure of living there for 1 year. We had a 2 bedroom 1 bath. The apartment is HUGE! Did not have one issue. 24 hour maintenance that was always able to be there within 5 minutes (only had to call them when I locked myself out). Ample amount of parking, quiet, always plowed and salted well during the winter. Landscape is always well maintained. They do not have a gym, pool or playground but is very close to the ymca, hiking and playgrounds. We have an active 2 year old who loved going for walks around the complex. The only reason we left was because we relocated out of state for work.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and the only reason why I’m moving is because I bought a home. Managers and staff are super nice and low key. Very quiet area, not a lot of kids at all, mostly seniors and adults who are older and settled. Maintenance is top notch. I never have any problems, not once. Love the privacy, spacious bedrooms, huge closets and scenery. Super relaxing and peaceful.

We love it here! After much searching around the area, we felt this was the best place to live and its exceeded our expectations. The capital region seems to have a lot of luxury apartments are very expensive and seem to put all the rent into frills and amenities you dont end up using, leaving you with a pretty average, smaller space. Here, the apartments are very large and well cleaned before moving in. The staff is excellent...they are very friendly and quick to respond. For example, one night our water heater went out, and within 20 minutes on a Friday night someone came over and was able to fix it. Little things like this make living at Oakbrook stress free :)

From the day I entered Oak Brook Commons at its main entrance 19 years ago, I fell in love with the beauty of its park-like landscaping. It was the fall of the year and the trees were aflame with the colors of autumn enhanced by the beautiful flower beds of seasonal flowers amid well-groomed lawns. What impressed me about the complex was that the nature-like setting was not destroyed by the apartment buildings, but instead built into it. As each season past, the flower beds mirrored the changes of the season dictated by the changes in the trees. The outside was obviously well-planned and executed daily by a very hard-working and efficient staff. When I entered the apartment, I was thrilled to see that these beautiful surroundings were brought inside through large windows in every room and a sliding glass door in the living room. On a sunny day the apartment was drenched with sunlight and on a gloomy day, filled with coziness. The huge apartment included 7 closets; two being large walk-ins. The dining room/office had the potential of several purposes since it had several outlets for the computer, but also provided a very cozy breakfast nook. The living room was spacious and could be used as a dining room/living room combination. Both bedrooms were sunny, large and featured walk-in closets. The master bedroom had an additional closet. There was a large pantry/coat closet, a laundry room with hook-ups, a linen closet, broom closet, hallway closet and even a closet on the very private balcony where one could wile a way time daydreaming amidst a chorus of chirping birds and nature sounds. The apartments are continually updated keeping them current and competitive; new tile floors, backsplashes, crown molding, to name a few updates. Maintenance of the apartment is excellent. Appliances are replaced as needed; safety checks done constantly, problems attended quickly. The repair area is always left clean. Painting of the apartment and cleaning the rugs are done on a regular basis. The greatest asset to Oak Brook is the excellent maintenance and office staff. They are hard-working, dependable, friendly, always greeting you with a smile. They often offer to help when they see you are struggling They make you feel comfortable and welcome. They all create an atmosphere of community and home. The owner, the heart of the complex, is on site making sure that he continues to offer a quality home for all that live there. In my opinion he has.

Ive lived here for a year now, and I really like it. The maintenance staff is super friendly and helpful, and every request Ive made has been handled fast. I had to call once at 3 AM for a smoke detector gone haywire, and the guy couldnt have been friendlier. Snow removal is as prompt as possible, and they work around the clock. The apartments are relatively big and well-maintained. Im happy here!

I wish I could give 10 stars! I have been so happy living at Oakbrook -- the staff and maintenance crew go above and beyond to take care of the residents. And these past couple of winter months, I have been so grateful for the hard work of the maintenance crew -- even with all the other regular maintenance activities they do all day long, they have been out during the wee hours to clear the snow, so that when I have to get up and leave early for work, the roadways and sidewalks are all clear. The office staff also go out of their way to reach out to the residents and make them feel welcome and keep them informed of anything going on. I was so happy to be able to renew my lease and keep living in this community where the staff really cares and makes me feel I am truly home.

Very disappointed in how they do their application process. They were very quick to take my $1315 to hold the apartment I picked out with my two children but I was denied because my credit is bad due to my recent divorce. Not only did they deny me but they denied me the chance to start a fresh new life for my boys. I offered two months up front and they still said no. This place is a joke. I make plenty of money to pay for this so called luxury apartment. HUGE mistake I feel on their part! HUGE! I am now in the process of moving into HALFMOON HERITAGE. They have been a huge help and are willing to work with me. Not only are they truly luxury but they go above and beyond to make sure tenants are happy. I guess not living at Oak Brook was a blessing in disguise!!

Wow very disappointed. I come home one day and there is a guy standing in my apartment. Complained to the manager and she says, we have right of entry. the staff is rude and unfriendly. The owner is no where to be found. There was no emergency that they had to be in there. Very scared to live there. I moved immediately. My yard was dirt and pine needles. The walls are paper thin. You can here your neighbors talking and here the TV. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
