Ocean fish market had the best seafood I have ever bought. Their wild salmon is so buttery and delicious, you cannot go wrong no matter how you cook it. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they will happily point you to a new delicious fish every time you come in. I shop here at least twice a week and have never had a bad experience. Definitely one of my favorite shops in Astoria.

Today is Easter! I come to this establishment to buy lobsters. I spent 133.00$ I bought 6 lobsters. I will never come again. The men who work behind the counter are so rude. They cleaned out the lobsters and took the best part out which is the liver and Roe.
I have had nothing but great experiences here; its my favorite place in Astoria for fresh fish. I frequently buy the wild or organic salmon and we got delicious, in-season crawfish for a reasonable price. The owner can be short at times but the shop is just old-school.
Such fresh fish, great selection and open after 6p on busy 30th avenue! Will come again soon!!
Nice selection presented nicely. Fresh & incoming cuts on fish allowing for the cook to make variety of dishes. Staff is courteous, knowledgeable & not pushy. The space never smells odd or fault, respect the customers and current Covid-19 guidelines.

The best fish market in Astoria, no doubt!Maintained well and quite clean.Always fresh fish and various sellection of seafood. They also have some not so typical sea products, like a sea urchin or a carp. Usually, I buy red snapper or swordfish.The service is excellent as well. Each time they put me in the bag, along with the fish, a lemon or two for fish dresing. I like that because I always fortget to buy them!Just to mention reasonable prices.
When I’m away from home I actually miss this place. The fish is so fresh and they always know exactly where it comes from. Prices are excellent. I usually get wild salmon, shrimp, branzino and tilapia.
Fish is always fresh.. nice, clean fish heads for soup.. and their salted codfish has a flavor we find nowhere else.
Great fish monger on 30th Ave. Friendly staff and pretty good selection of whole fish, fillets and shellfish. There are a couple farmers market style vegetable stores just a few blocks down from here so you can start there first and grab your fresh produce, then stop at ocean fish market for your fresh fish.
The freshest fish in NYC. Here is the branzino I got from there and made that evening.

This has been the go to place for the freshest seafood in Astoria! Ever since I was a child my parents use to specifically come to this location to buy their seafood. Staff is always nice and helps you out in selecting the amount of seafood you need for your company. Awsome place I noticed they also take EBT!!
I love this place. The fish is so fresh, always. The owner is a sweetheart, its such a friendly, family vibe. They are super honest and always give you the freshest cuts. Also, support local small business!!

2022-02-24Bought some Cod and Salmon. Spent about $140 there. And when I got home it really smelled fishy. We cooked it the cod that day.... And we all got sick from it. Not sure that it was fresh.

2021-07-31There are fish markets that are closer to where I live, but if I need fresh seafood, this is my go-to.The seafood is always fresh, the staff and owner are very helpful and always respectful. I pay more than at my local market, but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for,” but it is still very reasonably priced for what you get.As time goes by, it seems we lose more and more of these local gems to big box stores. I am really thankful they are still around, and definitely glad to give them my business.
