It was great there Alex is a great person , today I brought Paul and his family down there to celebrate his birthday , all was great until the replacement bartender showed up Chip Im barring myself from your bar , how dare a bartender dump your beer in front of witnesses and then she denies it oh must be gravity is stronger there?
The Owner is a fantastic Guy, the staff is warm and friendly and d.j. Smacktino keeps you dancing. Always a good time there.
What a scary crew, why are this gang allowed to wear there colors in bar. Staff eating at bar, charged different t price than advertised for beer!
Was asked for Id. Im 57 years old. Amy the bartender was rude. Not a smile to be found in that womans head. Asked for a beer and told it could only be served in a small glass. Again she was snarly.
Hole in the wall? Yep. Large selection of beer? Yep. Thats all you need to know. Decent little bar and good staff.
This place is awful. The staff is rude, there are dead mice in the mens room and the food is overpriced and prepared by incompetent hermits.

2022-05-01We ate there this evening. Had the pork shank & a bottle of Malbec. The meal was excellent. The service was fairly fast, dinner was very pleasant. Just darn good. The wine was excellent. The service was very good. If I lived here I’d be back frequently. Kudos to Jamie & his staff! For a small town, you couldn’t do better!

2021-05-17Once we got inside there was only two bartenders. The place was severely overcrowded. We waited 15 minutes for our first drink. The waitress / bartender was very rude. When we went outside to have our drinks. A bouncer came outside and was yelling at everyone at 11 p.m. to hurry up and finish their drinks, when the bar doesnt close until 12 midnight. I definitely would not recommend this place.

2019-09-23Jose made me the best veal franchisee I have ever had. We are visiting from Florida and this was my last upstate New York meal. I will be back on our next visit home.

2017-02-19Waitress is always so pleasant and serves you quickly. And sorry but will give you a drink in whatever size you want so hard to believe she would tell you had to be in a small glass maybe the drink you ordered had to be in a small glass😊

2016-07-22Terrible place!!! I went there and Im not sure if it was because Im black, that I was the only woman there for quite some time, or it if the waitress felt intimidated by me because Im young and pretty, but the waitress decided to charge me for 10 drinks instead of 6! And then she took it upon herself to add a almost $20 tip making my bill almost $100!! When I called to ask to speak to the owner, I gave my name and number to the same waitress that served me and he never called me back... Like NEVER!! So I have no reason but to believe he must know she does this and is ok with it... Hey, he hired her! This place is racist and sexist and do yourself a favor... NEVER GO HERE. Youll save so much more money going to Lukins which is only across the street.

2018-06-19Came here looking for food after driving up for my first concert at Saranac Brewery. It was a Sunday so the kitchen wasn’t open but Candy was so sweet and told me about the pizza place across the street. She was attentive as a bartender and builds rapport with her customers. I’ll be coming back before every concert that I attend in Utica (:

2017-03-22I was a customer of ODonnells until this MORNING. I had a meeting at 10am with friends on Varick St and plan to do the meeting in ODonnell. The street wasnt busy so i parked in their front lot and waited. My friends chose to go across the street to a different establishment. When we finished my truck was block-in by a fellow patron who parked on the street. So i when into ODonnells and asked if the owner of the car could please move. A man who i presume was the owner of ODonnells aggressively approach me and started asking me questions as to why i was parked there. Before i could explain he was berating in front of the other customers and staff. Keep in mind this is over parking in an empty lot of a place i intended to go at 10am in morning. The guy was rude, aggressive, and probably drunk. I will NEVER spend another penny in ODONNELLs . An inconsiderate owner lost this customers FOR LIFE. With so many great establishments on Varick i will go elsewhere. I dont recommend this bar for anyone!
