I was not sure where to turn when the entire trunk lift trim snapped off in subzero temperatures. Having Paintworx provide an amazingly simple insurance claim previously had me turn to them for this unusual request. Paintworx staff (Jim) made me aware of backordered parts and a long wait list. He kept me informed of the parts status and scheduled me as soon as my part was available. Paintworx is my first phone call for any and all body work. Thank you.
Had collision repairs on my Honda CR-V done at this shop about 3 years ago. The bottom moulding on driver- side door kept popping out after a while and completely finally fell off. I found out instead of using new parts as they claimed on my insurance, they instead stapledthe damaged clips back onto the old molding.Went back to Paintworx to ask for warranty repair and they refused claiming it was the drivers responsibility, despite presenting them evidence of their shoddy repair. Not only are they uncommitted to their warranty but they have potentially committed insurance fraud.
I called for an estimate, as their site says they do custom work. I just needed some basic paint work done.Well I was completely blown off when the guy on the phone heard that I wasnt getting insurance related repairs done.I was told that they couldnt even give me an estimate until some distant unknown date. Apparently I wasnt a big money maker. So much for custom. By the end of the conversation it was obvious he wasnt even listening.
I had gotten into a minor fender bender and was found at zero fault. Paintworx Collision Center worked with the other guys insurance to quickly return my car to me. I didnt have much damage, but where the damage was made it seem tricky and the car looks good as new - as if it had never even happened. I really appreciated the updates via text as they went along as well. Will be going back if I ever need anything else done and recommend them highly to everyone.
Great job and service. They made it a great experience. It was only due to insurance payment delay that the car took a few days longer to get back.

Im hard to impress, but the team at Paintworx far exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how focused the guys in the shop were while working on the vehicles. This was refreshing considering the number of times I have experienced employees at other businesses slacking off. When it was time for my estimate, the owner came out personally to give me a quote on the spot. I particularly appreciated the time he took to explain what needed to be done to my vehicle and why.Despite being extremely busy with the multitude of cars in the parking lot waiting to be fixed; the work done on my car was not rushed. The work took four days and it came out absolutely perfect! My car looks better than it did when I picked it up from the dealership.I hope my car isn’t hit again, but if it is I can rest easy knowing I’ll be getting the best service in the area. Running a small business is hard enough, let alone in the midst of a pandemic, yet the entire team at Paintworx was fantastic! If you’re looking for great customer service and quality work this is the place to go.P.S. they have nice rentals….I’d recommend the X3😎
I have had the most amazing and generous service from Paintworx. They took in my car in the day that I called, with no delay, and had my car fixed as soon as possible. They continued to communicate with me so I knew exactly what was going on with my repair. Jim was extremely responsive to my phone calls and was accommodating around my schedule. He was flexible, reliable, and always pleasant. I highly recommend going to Paintworx!
Great overall experience with Paintworx. My car had collided with a deer which damaged the fromt fender and roof. Paintworx had my car estimated for about half as other shops. My car was in and out within a week. I was updated throughout the process. The work was done very professionally and well. The pictures are before and after.
After my bumper was hit in a parking lot, I brought my car here to get it fixed and they handled it with the highest standard of care. They took care of all of the insurance contacts for me, so I didnt have to worry about any of that. They made sure I understood each step they were taking to fix my car and wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible. They were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable of their craft. I will for sure be returning with any car care needs in the future! 10/10 business!

Had my car there to fix a sprung door, they told me it would take roughly two or three weeks. We (my family and I) figured that would be okay considering we could probably take an uber to school and work. However it ended up taking about 2 months as over time excuses became more prevalent. First they mentioned a second insurance check was needed which seemed okay. Then they said they were waiting for the parts, which was fine. As time went on, we received more excuses such as “low employees, still waiting for parts, etc.” Sometimes just nothing to say. As time went on we asked for a rental, and as time went on, we had to pay more for the rental ($40/day) due to the fault of the company, putting off my repair week by week. After speaking with Amy about my frustration, she helped to make sure we only payed for two weeks of the rental. However we were very unsatisfied with the timing it took to fix my car. I am pleased with the repairs, and Amy’s empathy. Nevertheless, the company lies. I have text messages of them putting off my car repair as proof.Edit: Because my car was just sitting there for roughly a month or two, the battery has to be replaced.
They did a phenomenal job on my car! Very professional and the customer service excelled! They sent daily text messages with updates on the progress. My car was ready as promised! They even detailed the inside, washed and waxed my car!!! Totally exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend their services and will use them in the future!
I had custom paint work done to my Ford Raptor taillights and they came out great. Dave and team were professional, friendly and delivered their work on time. They communicated with me throughout the process to keep me in the loop, and they nailed it with the taillights coming out as desired. I would highly recommend this shop if you have paint work needs, including custom paint!!!
This is my second time using this shop for my car repair needs and I have been very happy with my experience both times. They went above and beyond, and we’re pleasantly helpful at a stressful time. The finished product looked better than before my accident! I will definitely be back and suggest Paintworx for anyone in need of bodywork!
Im writing this as someone that has been in the automotive field for 35+ years and restored cars for 25+ years professionally. My daughter had a vehicle repaired by Paintworx Collision Center after a small collision. My daughter relocated to where Im living and got a chance to take a look at the work done by Paintworx Collision Center some 3 or so months after the repairs. Unfortunately the work was not done to a very high standard. The repairs simply show a complete lack of care. The two lower fender bolts were missing, attachment point on the LH side of the bumper cover was broken so the bumper does not stay attached to the fender, plastic bracket that attaches the fender to the bumper cover is broken/stripped out, clip that attaches the LH fender/mirror trim was missing, small rubber seal no two-sided tape as per factory. And most disturbing of all is that the LH front wheel is out of round/bent. I called and spoke to Jim, he assured me that the things I found could not be the case and inferred that all this happened after the repairs. I sent pictures and a video of the issues and bent wheel to Jim and he promised to call me back. More than a week later still no call, I called Jim once again and he still inferred that all this happened after the repairs but promised to call me back the next day. A week later still no call. I called again and now he is busy and has not returned my call. To answer Jims assertion that the issues happened later: The broken fender cover has paint on the plastic where the piece is missing, it was repainted while broken. The fender bolt could have fallen out after the fact but only if they were not tightened at the time of the repair. Trim clip and two-side tape? They simply are not there. The plastic bracket was probably stripped out/broken because it was over tightened trying to hold the broken bumper cover in place. The wheel? could have happened after but since this is the only collision the vehicle has had since the repairs not sure how that could happen. Since the repairs show such a lack of care it simply points to the fact that the wheel was never checked. This is a Mazda and not a high dollar vehicle, is this how they repair all vehicles or just the low dollar ones? I can only go by what my years of experience tell me and this vehicle was not repaired properly or with any care so my recommendation is to find another shop that does care! Why so many 5 star views? I found out that if you give them a 5 Star review you get freebees! Do the right thing and stand behind the work done (or in this case not done) and make it right! Where possible I have posted pictures of the issues.
I brought my 2018 subaru sti to paintworx after a large tree branch had come down on top of it. This was my second time going to paintworx and I informed Dave the owner that the first time they went way over their timetable and he assured me that would not happen. Well after quoting me 10 days on my work for my sti it took them well over a month to complete. Upon receiving my vehicle the battery was dead and my accessport which is an aftermarket ecu and boost control reader, was completely fried. On top of that my interior panel where it hides the electrical on my driver side was completely broken off because they took the liberty of rerouting my accessport cord when the work had nothing to do with the interior. That plastic peice still is just sitting on the ground in my passenger. When I addressed the problem I was greeted with a laugh and oh well atleast its not crazy expensive ($165 to fix electrical) instead of offering to make it right. The paint was good and am satisfied with that part of the experience but overall there are much better and more professional shops around.
Everything went very smooth from the beginning to the end, I was kept informed of what was going on and the progress of the repair. Dave went above my expectations and did everything to make sure I was happy and very satisfied with how the job came out you would never know it was in an accident, he was also able to let me use one of their nice bmw rental cars while my car was being fixed so I wouldn’t be left without a car. I would highly recommend Paintworx if you are ever in an accident and looking for a professional trustworthy body shop.
I can not believe that I have not been contacted about Paintworx messing up my cars back up camera and Radio after Jim stated that they didn’t do it. The mechanic admitted that it was working when he was driving the car. I emailed, messaged on Facebook and called. Nothing! I live in Texas and this has been a hold up since 11-5-2021! THIS IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE!
Had the bumper on my BMW 320 body work done here and within a week of having the work done the paint started to chip (poor quality). They didn’t even color match the white paint correctly. They also charged me for a new BMW emblem and never changed it. Finally, the entire estimated time kept getting bumped back. Extremely poor quality as well as customer service. I ended up having to get the bumper redone entirely by another company. I do not recommend this company at all.
Dave and his team are nothing but professional from start to finish. They always go above and beyond expectations and deliver a product that looks better than new. I dropped my vehicle off and received a very detailed estimate within a few hours letting me know the extent of the damage and the cost to put it all back together. They worked directly with the insurance company which made my life a million times easier. I chose Paintworx for auto repair after a minor accident. The staff were very friendly and professional, making the process very seamless and easy. After I gave them my estimate, they completely handled the rest and made sure to communicate with me every step of the way. I would definitely recommend! Made the process a lot less overwhelming.

Love these folks! When my truck was rear-ended a co-worker recommended them and I am SO glad he did. I had never had to deal with a collision repair before so was new to the process. Everyone at Paintworx was professional, courteous and even cleaned my truck inside and out before I got her back! Emma was always available, walked me through the process step by step; she was also invaluable in dealing with a rather nasty insurance lady and making sure my rental arrived when I needed it. David (the owner) personally took the time to explain what was needed to repair my truck and made me feel very comfortable in leaving my only transportation in their hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I was involved in a minor collision and chose a family run Collision Center rather than a multi shop operation and am so happy I did! I was greeted by Dave who I found out was the owner and he said he could handle my claim from start to finish and even had rental cars on site so I didnt have to run around getting an off site rental! Best choice I have ever made as my brand new red Kia Niro looks brand new again! Dave and his team even had my car back to me 2 days early!

These guys are the best!! I have a new car, 3 months old. Had a run in with a trash can at 50mph. Needless to say the trash can was unscathed but my bumper was not. :( Dave, the owner and his team did an amazing job. The car is back to new again! You cant tell the bumper has been replaced. The paint matches perfectly! They also kept me updated by text and with phone calls the whole way through. They have even have their own fleet of rentals, BMW X3s awesome car to drive while mine was being fixed. I couldnt be happier with the outcome and customer service provided.Highly recommend! :)

I can’t say enough good about this company. They are so kind and easy to work with that I would trust them with anything that needs fixing. I had a piece of plastic from my motorcycle that needed to be painted and they got it done so quickly and the paint job looks phenomenal. Dave and the gentleman that are usually a the front of the shop are some of the best people around for any type of rework that you could need. I highly recommend this business for any repairs.

Dave and his team did a fantastic job painting my Harley! They painted the tank, both fenders and did some minor body repair (check out the fantastic pics on their Facebook and Instagram). They completed the work in the time the said for the around price they estimated. No B.S. I highly recommend their services. Id give em six stars out of five if I could.
I heard about Paintworx and there work through a friend, I’m new to Albany so I would’ve went wherever he said but when I went for the quote I immediately felt like I made a good choice.The office is clean and sanitized, they are super professional and the owner Dave came out to do the quote. Choosing a collision center is like shooting fish in a barrel. How do you select one you hope you can trust? I found Paintworx Collision Center through the internet, read the reviews and took a leap of faith. I am so glad I did! They kept in constant contact with me while they had my vehicle. They took care of all the insurance needs. They even handled the windshield replacement. The work was impeccable. You would never know my vehicle was marked up. I got it back looking better than it did when I picked it up new from the dealer. Alice, Tony and the rest of the team were terrific. You can tell they are conscience about the work they do and want to make sure their customers are happy. I would absolutely recommend them for any collision or detailing work you need done.
Absolutely pleasant staff, super helpful, estimate on the spot, Dave is a great guy and run his business with the utmost professionalism. They fixed my 800$ wheel to better than new condition and a day early. I would recommend them for any auto repairs insurance or individual claims.

Dave and his staff are outstanding and highly recommended. We brought my girlfriend’s car there after a small accident at the Empire Plaza (once we finally got it back from the unrelated and not connected towing company next door... seriously.. we absolutely regret getting involved with Dots towing but luckily they have nothing to do with the current Paintworx body shop) Dave and his staff provided excellent communication throughout the whole process including follow up calls afterwards to make sure all was well. They also provided prompt service for a couple small outstanding issues that we had (they even fixed an unrelated issue, since they were there, for no additional charge). The work was done quickly and professionally once the insurance people got their papers together. The even crew stayed late, after closing, to finish up our car because we were on a time crunch to get it back. Even after all the work was complete, there was an error in the insurance processing and Paintworx refunded a large amount with no issue. I chose Paintworx because I grew up with Dave’s wife. He was supposed to repair a front end collision. As soon as I went to pick the car up Dave started asking if the headlight sensors were already going off. I explained that they were fine before the accident and he basically sent me home with a car that wasn’t fixed properly. I sent the car back and the insurance company cut him another check to repair the faulty headlights. He then dropped my car off at the dealership where he abandoned it for 4 months. It wasn’t until I contacted kneeler where they explained they have been trying to get ahold of Dave. It he never would return their calls. All they were waiting on was a payment. Dave refused to pay them the money travelers insurance gave him and I ended up having to pay out of pocket. Thebodywork wasn’t great ether. The new hood hangs to far over the front bumper and the paint already started peeling. Keep in mind I grew up with his wife and this is the experience I had. Also don’t believe the star rating. His wife literally just posted on her Facebook begging friends and family to go and give them a 5 star rating because a few customers gave them 1 star. I never wanted to give them a bad review because I know her personally, but her husband Dave is a crook and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I had to and now what seems others have as well
Kudos to Dave and his team at Paintworx! They did another excellent job on my Volvo after a tree limb damaged the hood and fender in a recent storm. Very professional and their attention to detail is superb! I recommend them to anyone looking for quality repair work on their vehicle!
I was hit from behind in a whiteout snowstorm on i87 Dec 1. I exclaimed Im hit!. Guess Im watching too much Star Wars :)Anyway, since I didnt know any repair centers, my insurance company went down the places they could recommend. I skipped the first few for less-than-optimal reviews.... until Paintworx came up with a great yelp rating. Im glad I did.My insurance sent them the information. I called immediately and they had me in quickly for an assessment despite the high number of accidents due to the storm.The repair was only two days and I had a rental car during that time.They invoiced my insurance directly.It was as easy an experience as it could be....oh and my car bumper is brand new again and the matches the rest of the car.

We were provided with a fair estimate of the work to be done, which included the price and time frame during which the work would be completed. I had a great experience with Paintworx! I was rear-ended and needed my bumper repaired. My blind spot indicator was no longer working as well. When I brought my car in for an estimate they told me my car was not safe to drive and swiftly coordinated a rental car and worked with insurance to ensure coverage. Alice at the front desk is so sweet and patient, always a pleasure working with her. My car was repaired in the time estimated and returned to me in beautiful working condition. The paint was perfect. I highly recommend Paintworx.

My 2017 black pick up truck was rear ended at the end of February.Paintworx came highly recommended for repair & paint work and they worked with the insurance and rental companies to help minimize the amount of coordinating I had to do. My truck came back as good as new (she was nearly perfect before we were hit) and I am very happy with their work. I highly recommend them!

The staff at Paintworx did not disappoint! My car looks perfect and they were thorough with finding all of the damage on my vehicle. From the outside, my car didnt look too bad, but after they assessed further they found additional damage which they repaired with no issue. They were easy to work with and kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. They did all of the communicating with the insurance and the rental company, which was a relief and one less thing for me to deal with. This was much appreciated since getting in an accident can be stressful enough. If I ever need work on my car again I will be bringing it back to Paintworx. Thanks for making everything so easy!
It was so easy to work with Dave, the owner and Emma who kept me up to date with everything. The car looks amazing and you would never know it was damaged. Nice guys running it but..... called 5 times for estimate, took over a week. Told me 4 times would do it that day. Specified that I wasnt going through insurance , was a cash sale. Wrote up estimate like its insurance. Estimate was way higher than other 2 I got. Tho the other places listened as I didnt need factory repairs done. Were able to repair some parts not replace.

Alice was very pleasant and made everything easy from start to finish. When I came in for my estimate, David explained everything about the repair, an he even found sales on some of my parts. I decided to get a second estimate, just so I would have a comparison, and Paintworx came in considerable lower in price, and excelled in customer service over the other shop. When I picked up my car the repair looked great, and they even cleaned the inside of my car. I would bring my car back, and would definitely recommend them.

Dave & his staff were very courteous & professional. Our 2018 vehicle had been rear ended. After repairs were done, you cant even tell our vehicle was in a collision. Fast forward to March 2020. We had to use Paintworx for a 2nd time after the above mentioned vehicle was rear ended again. Awesome repair job. Can’t even tell there was damage. I highly recommend Paintworx.
My fender needed to be replaced and the bumper was detaching. They gave me the best estimate out of all the places I went to and when they did the repairs, it still ended up coming out cheaper than their estimate. The staff were all incredibly nice and easy to talk to and I was called with updates and information as needed. There were no delays in the repairs and they dealt with insurance for me. I noticed a few weeks after that they had forgotten to align my tires like they mentioned in the estimate and I was able to call and let them know and I dropped my car off one morning and they did it in a day. They still had my information and I didnt have to talk to insurance about it and they took care of it. They also clean the interior of your car for free and they did a great job overall with the color match. The level of professionalism while remaining personable left a huge impression on me during each visit.
I brought my car in after a piece of trim was stolen off our car. Everyone on staff at Paintworx is friendly and knowledgeable. They worked directly with the insurance company to get the part.Unfortunately the wrong part was shipped but I was very impressed with Dave and the crew who apologized for the mix up had the right part come in the next day and had the proper piece in place 2 days later with no additional transaction needed.The car was also cleaned and detailed which was really nice especially when you have to go through the hassle of an insurance claim. I brought my truck to their location to get an estimate for rust restoration and full paint work done. I was questioned right from the start on whether I would be able to afford to have the work done on my truck because I would be paying out of pocket instead of going through my insurance company. And then, I never received the quote via email like I was told that they would do. I was very clear on what my email address was, so there was no mistake on my part. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone if you need body work done.
I was a longtime customer of this business and sent lots of work their way over the years. This place used to be good. Ownership is a real piece of work. Answers all bad reviews with you arent in our records or this person doesnt like me instead of taking responsibility like a professional, which shows you the kind of person he is and how youll be treated if you go here. I will never bring any of my vehicles here ever again.Edit- I sent my coworker here, as I had good experience prior and she dealt with someone other than I used to, some Stumpf? I didnt recognize that memorable name, so I assumed it was a new owner. She was jerked around (took way too long, shoddy work, excuses, excuses, excuses) and I felt embarrassed having recommended this place to her. Dont you worry, we wont be back and I wont be recommending you to anyone anymore so you can calm down and relax stumpfy.

Brought my car in with a cracked bumper...I went to another shop to get an estimate and when I got an estimate from Jim W...he explained another option that was more cost friendly, and it looks just like new. He handled all the insurance details for me as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I elected to have my damaged Tacoma fixed at Paintworx because it is convenient to my home. I was pleased with the professionalism of Alice and the rest of the staff. The waiting room is clean and bright. My truck was fixed and I believe the cabin is now cleaner than when it was towed in. I was advised that if anything is not right,ie. wheels unaligned, bring it right back. Good to hear what I would not have even thought of.

I was side swiped and my passenger side mirror was busted. I went for my free estimate and was told the mirror was a ton of money to get it replaced. The guys at Paintworx were honest and told me I didnt have to replace the whole unit and they could just fix the mirror part. They saved me hundreds of dollars for being honest. The worked with my schedule to fit me in and even called with a reminder to drop my car off. They also made it very easy for me to rent a vehicle while mine was being repaired. I got rear ended on 3/10/16, and was referred to Paintworx Collision Center by a coworker. I spoke directly with a man by the name of Jeremy. He was absolutely wonderful. He answered any questions I had dealing with insurance and getting a rental. When I went to pick up my car, you could never tell I had been in an accident. We bought a used truck but clearly it needed work on the back gate, it was all fixed and painted in the time they said it would be. They even took the time out in the sun with us to go over all the tiny dings, we are happy that our Nissan Frontier wont be rusting prematurely and the back gate closes fine now, we have used it over a month in plowing and no problems. In fact we just had another car fixed and we got the same great service. No job seems to be too big or too small. Thanks for the professionalism we could not find near our home, so worth the drive.
I had to get body work done on my car recently. I spoke with the manager, Jeremy. He was nice, approachable and explained everything to me in perfect detail. The work to be done did take a little longer than I expected but it was understandable. I believe I underestimated the damage done to the car.When I picked up the car, I was so pleased. I have worked with this Collision center multiple times. I have realized that if you have an older car the sun fades paint so its near impossible to get a perfect match. I have been very happy with the work that has been done on my vehicles. Whether it be a large dent or rock that hit the hood, I have been satisfied each time. I also had chrome fenders added to a Jaguar and multiple rims painted. All the work has held up nicely.

A lot of businesses dont seem to have good customer service anymore, all they are looking for is your money. The guys here dont treat you like you are just a dollar sign, they make you feel like they are more concerned about you being satisfied with the work they do and that means a lot! Most importantly.... The work is amazing! Ive bought 3 cars to these guys and every time I was happy with the work they done to my cars, not happy that I had to get work done but very happy about the results of the work and the price as well!!

Paintworx collision center did a wonderful job putting my car back together.After I had a crazy accident in my brand new 2019 Honda HRV, I was doubtful anyone could make it look brand new again. The whole left side was damaged and I didnt know the if the engine was damaged. Plus I live in another state. It took a month but Paintworx did a wonderful job on my car. Its all pretty and brand new again. I just wish it could of been done quicker. However, I am glad it was done right!!
Both of my vehicles where hit parked in front of my house by someone plugging in their cell phone. Paintworx repaired one of my trucks in about 2 weeks. My son is a college student in Albany, and in 2013 and again in 2014 his car was involved in an accident. I live 300 mile away from my son (Happily, though it may not be far enough...) and that adds a lot of possible hassle and stress in getting work done by a reputable place that does good work at a fair price. I did some quick research and called some friends and my insurance company and ended up at Paintworx. Whether through luck or skill, lets call it skill, I sure ended up at the right place.They got my sons car towed in right away and gave me an estimate the next day that Allstate agreed with. They gave me a timeline when the work would be finished, and were good to their commitment, on both occasions. They went way beyond what was expected as well; let me tell you about that.I am moderately handy, and had put a new hood on my sons car, but the paint job I did on it was horrid. Since I wasnt driving the car I found the situation quite satisfactory. When Josh at Paintworx called me he said they did a lot of new painting on the front, but the hood looked even worse after they did the new body and paint work on the front fenders. I may have said something like it sucks to be my son then, but Josh said he was a really nice kid and wanted to do a nice job for him, so he just threw in the hood painting for free. Who does stuff like that? Not many places in my experience. They did this when I was a first time customer, so it wasnt like I had some longtime relationship with them; they just wanted the job done right.The work they did was first rate; they were very friendly and did more than they promised, and as far as I am concerned, they are the place to go if you to need collision repair work in Albany.

I visited this place on on Thursday Sept 3. They advise me they would get me an estimate by the end of the day. I said okay. The next day still nothing. I waited till about noon to reach out to them Friday to see what hade happen they advised that they was busy I said okay understandable who doesn’t get busy. I’m a very understanding person. It is Wednesday Sept 9th tomorrow will be a week Sept 10th. I still never received my estimate. I personally feel it’s very unprofessional for business to advise they will get back to you and then advised they are busy and then Almost an entire week later and still nothing on my estimate. I went some where else they gave me an estimate on the spot! Definitely the reason for a 2 star. But I can’t judge them on their services so I don’t have anything bad to say about services being done they can possibly be a good place. But the people they definitely forgot about me!
I needed to have my alloy wheels refinished. The guys at Paintworx were all over it. The wheels look amazing.I also asked them to paint some interior dash pieces that needed TLC. I had previously asked a different shop to do it and that flat out refused. Paintworx not only hit the painting out of the park, they took the initiative to get a second interior panel painted so they would dash and console would match.The quality of the workmanship and the level of customer service were outstanding.No drama, no surprises. The repair job on my rear bumper was very good. It looks like new. They buffed out scratches and fixed dings and damage that my car had. They counseled me as to how to care for my Cadillac in order to avoid future scratches that I can avoid. I would highly recommend them.

Terrible all the way through. My car was damaged on the front drivers door and mirror when my neighbor backed into my car by accident. They told me about one week, it was like 2-1/2 weeks. I was promised that they would also do my fenders and hood because the paint was not good, and apparently the guy that promised this was fired so they just didn’t paint it because it was his promise and not the owners. I asked if there were any options to paint it and they won’t touch it. I asked if I could buy paint from them since they already had the paint matched for the car and they said no, not even some touch up paint, which is a blessing that I didn’t buy it, because when I got home, I got a look in the sun, and the paint does not match the rest of the car at all. Then I noticed that my mirror was not even taken care of, which was part of the accident that they were supposed to repair. I would never recommend that place to anyone!!Not sure why the owner would say he has no recollection of me 3 months after the fact, they tried calling me to “fix” the issue but I don’t want my car back there. Everyone beware of these shady dbags, my fiancé had her car fixed up the street in colonie and they fixed it on time and they fixed everything they were paid to fix, not just what they wanted to, and they also blended the paint, something these idiots have no idea how to do. Pay the extra for a good company, please.

I waited a while to post this because I didnt quite know how I felt. My car had been scratched pretty bad and some panels and the hood needed to be repainted. We went with paintworx because the dealer had a slightly higher quote. The car is older so the paint was faded. They said they would match the paint and buff it so that you couldnt tell where the old paint ended and the new paint started. However when we picked it up they were in our face saying how great a job they did so we couldnt really inspect it. Now that we have seen it from more angles and lighting it is obvious that they just got the paint based on the Vin and didnt fade it at all. The panels are obviously different shades and it looks bad. It really is dissappointing so see the faded car handles against the shiny new paint (and other panels). It was not that much cheaper to warrant such bare minimum work. Also I am giving a lower review because they give you free car wash or something when you review online so most people give a good review because they want to get that deal. I would not recommend and will just go to a dealer to get it right next time. Theyre very nice while they are pulling one over on you, though.
My car came here after an accident. All the staff was so professional and kind. The work they did on my car turned out fantastic. I will be recommending them to anyone I know who needs work done on their vehicle.
This is the 2nd occasion for me to use Paintworx Collision in Albany. A year or so ago it was for a repainting job for one of my vehicles, and now this time, to repair damage on another of our family vehicles. In each case I was very pleased with their professionalism, the quality of their work and the completion of the work as scheduled. While I hope it doesnt..... if the occasion arises that I need body work again, I absolutely would bring my car back to Paintworx.
I just had my BMW in their shop and things couldnt have gone better. My repair was done in a timely fashion and my car looks just as good as it did before the damage. My contact, Jeremy, answered all of my calls and questions and delivered excellent customer service. I would recommend taking your vehicle here for sure.

Went in to get a quote for some damage to my fender. Not only did they tell what they were gonna do, they told me how they were gonna do it. All for a fair price, as well. Its been months since I have had the work done and it has held up great since then. I will not be going to anyone else for bodywork in the future.
It was great service at first, and really overall. However, the notification system and the communication about the status of the repair was just unsatisfactory. Every time the text or website told me that my vehicle was ready, it wasnt. With that said...my car is repaired and it was done well.

So after a while i decided to come back and write an actual honest review of this place. A place like this has a very deceiving rating, and the reviews can be extremely biased - ill get to that later.First things first. A deer took my mirror off and dented the side of my car. This was the first accident i have ever been in, and the first time i had to deal with my insurance company. The constant very simple process, just a few questions to answer that i got from the attendant on the phone quickly turned into very specific decision making that i had no idea how to answer. This place literally took care of everything, and i did not have to talk to anyone. They took care of the insurance part, and they took care of setting up the rental car. That was extremely helpful.As far as getting the job done, i found out my car sat in the parking lot for 1.5 weeks while absolutely nothing was done to the car. Had i known that would happen, i wouldnt have had them take my car, and pay for a rental for 10 days while nothing got done. I would have waited for an insurance representative to come out and check out the car to make an estimate before getting the rental. Im sure things like this are pretty typical though.I dont know the first thing about the extent of the repairs, but it took a month to complete. What i consider to be a thorough complete job, is checking everything that could have been involved in the accident. I basically had to QC their repair job. My power window on the deer side was broken on pickup (they did replace it), but it was something overlooked. My mirror skin plate was absolutely dented, almost as if they put the old one back on and didnt actually get a new one (they did replace it). I dont understand how this could have been overlooked since it was on the exterior of the car. They also didnt even tighten my mirror to the car, so when the car started to vibrate or go over bumps, the mirror would violently shake and actually made a pretty obnoxious noise like a styrofoam cooler (they did fix this).The problem that i have here, is that i had to identify areas that they completely overlooked, and i had to return multiple times to get them resolved. If you dont care about this aspect, then there are no issues with this place. They have an excellent life time guarantee, and so long as you just let them know, theyre more than willing to get everything resolved.Point being, that Ive had a more thorough and complete experience in the past, just going to the dealership where i bought my car.About the rating/reviews. They offer a free complete detailing service valued at $200 if you leave them a good review. This offer is literally too good to say no to, which can lead to not-so-honest reviews and ratings. They may only talk about the good things.My experience here was basically like hiring an electrician to install a few lights and a switch in your house. And he gives you a similar guarantee. He does the job, and afterwards you find out that he wired 2/4 lights to a different switch, and the switch was installed where up is off, and down is on. So ultimately what i paid for WILL be accomplished, but you didnt do it right the first time. I had to basically look over your shoulder to make sure youre doing it right, and even if the job ultimately got complete, there was a significant amount of negligence to detail. I should not have to be the one to let you know that you forgot to do something. Thats part of what makes someone a 5 star repair center. Thats my take.Ordering something from eBay that breaks on first use, to have 100% of your money refunded does not equivalate a 5 star experience. (this is what some 5-star rated eBay sellers reviews look like)So if you have a repair job to get done, this place will absolutely certainly get it done for you. But you need to know a thing or 2 about looking at the fine details to make SURE that they did not miss anything.
It was terrible, my car bumper was accidentally damaged, the insurance company provided insurance reports, and I handled my car and insurance report to the repair shop. When I picked up the car, I found that the reflectors on both sides of the bumper had crashed and did not replace the new reflector. My car has been repaired for more than a thousand dollars. Is the reflector on both sides of the bumper not in the bumper? It’s really impossible to accept more than a thousand dollars for such expensive repairs but leave some traces. Cant recommend such a car repair company
I went to this shop for paint repair on my vehicle after checking out several shops and found this shop the most reasonable in price . Also, they were willing to work with me as far as whatever inconveniences arose in order to get the repair done. The mgr was courteous, patient & professional and the job was completed quickly and to my satisfaction.

Orange Home Depot Cart got introduced to my white driver side door. Took it to Paintworx for a job well done. The paint job was well blended and the car look as if nothing happened to it. Oh yea the price to fix was definitely cheaper than the competitors.
Worst experience ever! I would never recommend these people and actually filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. I brought my car in after an accident and asked for a quote to get the repairs done. I was never quoted in the week that my car was there. I would call to ask if my estimate was ready and NEVER received a call back. They stole the hood latch and battery right off my car. When I confronted them with photo evidence they returned the hood latch but denied taking my battery. Every time I called I would get someone who sounded like the same guy but changed his name each time. This was the worst experience with a very shady company.
All the guys in the shop took great care of my vehicle. And made sure all work was done in a timely manner.
There was an accident at work between my car and the company I work for where my car got covered in oil-based over spray and I brought my car to Paintworx and they did a fantastic job and went above an beyond and did a little extra that I wasnt even expecting to get done. I recommend Paintworx and I will be going back in the future for my cars needs! Thank you!

A friend of mine referred me to this shop when I was looking to have some work done to my car. I dropped the car off for a front bumper repair, trunk needed to be repainted, a full body buff and my wheels needed to be refinished. Upon completion, after the scheduled date, I went to pick up the car to find the trunk they just painted had a serious scratch, which was clear as day. They buffed it on the spot but to no avail and rescheduled me to have it repainted. Also, the paint on the wheels had ran between the spokes and cleared over. I brought the vehicle back and they told me they would make it all right. A few days later I go to pick up my car at closing (the day it was promised) to find the wheels are noticeably the wrong color and told that the emblems on the trunk were not reapplied because it looked cleaner. I was also told that the wheels were painted by the paint code associated with the VIN (FYI wheel color isnt part of your VIN or RPO build) I showed the car to my friend who referred me, who has apologized multiple times for their screw up. Paint Worx agreed to paint my wheels one more time to correct their screw up. Instead of using the paint code from the first spray, which was right and they refused to use, I spent my own personal time trying to find the correct paint code and driving around to match a sample they gave me. They sprayed the wheels one last time. I dropped the car off on a Monday night and told it would be done Thursday. Friday the car still wasnt ready and they kept it until Monday. NOT A SINGLE PERSON CALLED ME!!! I had to make all inquiries! I picked up the car Monday to find the emblems still not on. I was asked to come back the following day, which I did to have them just throw it on without looking up how it goes to begin with. When asked why it took so long I was told other jobs took priority due to deadlines by the owner.I now am stuck with 4 rims that are the wrong color, a trunk lid with an emblem in the wrong place and crooked, an inner fender that doesnt line up to factory holes, a couple thousand dollars poorer, and a total of over 15 business days without my car. As far as the free detail Paint Worx gave me to write a 5 star review, they can keep it. Theyll never touch my car again.P.S. Ask around before coming here. Since the original drop off all I have heard is horror stories about here.

Got hit by a deer and my insurance company sent me to Paintworx. My estimate took less than 10 minutes and they replaced everything plus something that we didnt see in the original walkthrough. Got my car and it was detailed and like new.

To begin with, WOW! Completely blew away my expectations. My 2014 Handa Accord was in a pretty bad accident. Airbags deployed, windshield shatered, both front fenders and no bumper... significant damage! Jeremy called us up after seeing our car at Dotts garage. We were prepared to take it to the dealership because we have been taken advantage of by body shops in the past. After talking to Jermey and after a tour of their state of the art facility, we were instilled with confidence.Tonight we got out car back and we couldnt have been happier. Everything lines up perfectly, looking as good as new. We are lucky we ran into Jermey. Horrible. Everything they told me would be done on my car wasnt done. I asked about a spot on my bumper and it was as good as done. When I get my car guess what?? It wasnt. I was told it would be detailed. Guess what?? It wasnt. I could write my name on the glass. Moral of the story....whatever these guys tell you....get in writing. Oh and it took 2 weeks to do a simple repair as they call it.
I had my car towed into Dotts garage. They were closed and walked into the PCC to see of they were affiliated. The man at the counter claimed that paint works handled all my insurance company claims and because the car was so close that the insurance company would have Paintworx perform the repairs. He wanted information from me. I had not filed a claim with the insurance company yet and told him I would speak to him later. When I filed, the insurance company confirmed what I had suspected...that this guy was full of paint fumes. When you have an accident, your already a having a bad day . I really did not need this yahoo trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I did business years ago with Dotts and they were fairly reputable. I hope they are not affiliated with these goof balls.

Had my front bumber painted, at first they said 250.00 and that they could blend it. Next I get a phone call that said it was going to be 500.00 that they had to spray the whole thing. Fine. 6 months later all the paint is coming off. The guy tells me I live on a dirt road and not to follow dump trucks ( neither of which is true )and that he is not going to do anything about it. terrible customer service and poor quality work. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
Brought my mothers car in for an estimate as I was shopping for quotes. I felt extremely pressured by the guy behind the counter. He seemed desperate to get my business. After I told him that I wasnt interested in scheduling he seemed like he was rushing me out the door. After getting a couple of other estimates from local shops who took the time to explain the estimate to me I chose to go somewhere else, and after reading some of the other reviews Im glad I did.

After paint my car in this shop . Paint come out after few month . They promise life time warrenty on paint . After I bring back they told me I have to pay whole amount for re do the work . They charge same money as dealer . Better go to dealer painting ur car .
The staff (especially Jeremy) were very helpful and accommodating for me when my car needed some repairs. I was also having an issue with my rental car company and they personally called the company and lowered my rate for me. Would highly recommend!!!

2022-05-12I came to Paintowrx for a new color on my tank and fender, they knocked it out of the park. The staff was polite, attentive, and helpful. The owner Dave said he would be painting it himself, he did an outstanding job. 10/10 I will be using Paintworx for all of my future auto body needs.

2022-02-28The folks at Paintworx were professional and did excellent work on my vehicle. I found them because they were recommended through my insurance claim. Everything looks great, part of my front bumper was torn off and some damage to the undercarriage were both taken care of and look even better than before the damage occurred. They sushi had my vehicle ready earlier than their estimate. I highly recommend them for body work on your vehicles.

2022-06-01After a car at work hit mine, I needed to find an auto repair shop. A coworker suggested this place. From the moment that I dropped my car off, to the moment that I picked it up, I was impressed. The inside is clean, and the gentleman that helped me the whole time, Jim, was pleasant and personable. We had some issues with the insurance company, that I had to go through, and Jim called with updates and never made me feel like I was in the dark with anything. He continued to call the insurance company to move the process of them paying along. When my car was ready, Jim stayed until I could come and get it that evening, and the car was vacuumed! I am beyond happy and pleased with my choice, and I will suggest this place to anyone that needs auto repair done. Thank you!!

2022-01-27Initial repair to vehicle (dent/scratch repair) visually seemed fine. Since repair, garaged car has rusted, notably ONLY where repaired. I contacted Paintworx as their website claims: we stand behind our work and are proud to offer our Lifetime Guarantee on our paint finishes and repairs for as long as you own your car. NOPE. They say the elements did this (weird for the elements to specifically target the location of this repair), and there is nothing they can do. They also apparently needed to look at my car on two separate days to make this determination. We wont be returning or recommending this place.
