I love this place. Took my beautiful new puppy for a collar and a new tag. The staff were super helpful. Being able to take him in and work on socialization is great also.
We took our large dog for his first grooming at PetSmart on July 11, 2019. We were greeted by friendly staff who assessed our dogs coat and suggested an oatmeal shampoo due to his dry skin and flakiness. When we picked our dog up he was happy, his coat was shiny and soft, his nails were clipped and his ears were cleaned. We were very happy with our experience.
We always go in there to see all type of animal especially cats I was trying adopt one I guess it wont happen because I never got answer
This PetSmart wasnt too bad I was looking for a very specific cat food they werent able to help me. I did look around myself a bit more until I found one that was suitable as replacement but that was something I did on my own even after asking for help. There were groups of staff that didnt seem too interested in helping anybody.
I absolutely LOVE this store!! So much I don’t even stress over how much I may have to spend because it is worth it! Very friendly employees and atmosphere!! And very knowledgeable!

I have been going to PetSmart on Elmwood for years. I have never had a bad experience with them.the girls in the grooming department are very caring and polite. I have had other groomers in the past, and this is the one that takes best care of my dog. After all isn’t that what’s it all about?

Ordered online and picked up items in store in under 2 hours. Could of picked it up faster if I went in to purchase it. Reason giving 4 stars because worker was so delightful! She was very polite and knew what she was doing! Great job!

Staff was not friendly and did not offer any assistance while we were in the store this time. Usually, we are greeted and if they see us wandering down the isles looking for something, someone asks if we need help. The Store was not busy, but did look short staffed. Sale Signage by registers are misleading. If you grab a sale item, make sure it gets rung up at sale price. A large variety of pet supplies. Store was clean and well maintained.
They were the closest place that had Tidy Cats litter. The people there were nice too.
A great place to find all my pets needs,and even some extra suprises. Toys a wide selection and always special mark downs and great sales. Make sure you join the rewards club every little bit of savings adds up.
When I first picked up my dog she looked fine. But once home I could see that her head was trimmed unevenly as were her ears. Most upsetting was her tail was cropped off way too short! Will return but definitely with different groomer.

I go here all the time & I’ve only had one not so good experience, otherwise I always get great service here. They can be a bit pricey, but they have a great thing going, where if you find an item they carry for a cheaper price on another website they will honor it. I just scored two Seresto flea collars for my two chihuahuas for $67.90 including tax. Score!
Love the employees. And love the fact that they match Chewy.com prices. So always check if chewy has the item cheaper and they will honor that price. My only complaint is whwn I buy crickets, which usually I do bulk because I house and feed them so I dont have to go every few days the next day half are dead on a few occasions. So I usually go to pet supplies plus for crickets. But other then that, its a friendly and nice environment and most employees are helpful and know much about the animals to help guide you in the right direction.
The store is convenient to get to but the prices are a bit High, and thats not always affordable. My cat is FIV positive so I make sure that he eats high-quality food. He really likes the Simply Nourish and the Pro Plan brand. I like it because of the ingredients. Perhaps they can have more deals or coupons in the future.
Petsmart never disappoints. Needed chew toys for a new puppy and the selection is great. There is so many different types and sizes I couldnt decided. The staff was helpful and friendly. If you live in the North Buffalo area the Elmwood Petsmart is a great store for your pet needs

I go here its convenient but I wish they were more Bully Breed Friendly as a company. They also own majority share of Chewy so hard to not use them during a Pandemic

Easy to find stuff nice new store
Incompetent! A year and a half ago I was turned away for grooming because I was 10 minutes late. I thought Id give them another shot so today I took one of my dogs in, got there 15 minutes early. I was told my groomer would arrive at 6 on the dot and they would not check my dog in until then because what service being done could be not relayed correctly. ( getting a basic bath shampoo what ever they call it ). I was not expecting him to get started early, just to check him in so I could go buy two dog beds and Christmas presents and go drop my other dog off at home who was waiting in the car. I said so I just have to stand here and wait? And was told with attitude that I was early. So I left and didnt spend 200 plus dollars on all I was going to get. I will never shop there again. Can not communicate in person or over the phone, and obviously do not care about customer service. Im glad to pay more and give my money to local businesses. Merry Christmas
Completely out of several items I was looking for today, everytime I looked for a team member for help, they dove down a different aisle avoiding it.

I still dont understand why they charge $20 extra for some matting on my dog.They are shaving her short anywayIve asked why twice and they have not given me a straight answer. I am looking for a different groomer. Im not paying $70 every time. My dogs hair just naturally gets matted in a few spots.
They are genuinely super nice. Its not a fake nice. Any question I have is answered even if they have to call someone. Prices are cheaper than shopping online. Carrying a bag of dog food isnt that hard like they exaggerate on t.v.
Very little selection for pet sweaters/coats and they do not sell puppy food in bags sized 30ibs or more and have little options for dog food for lactating dogs, used to be my favorite store and convenient for me but as often as I go in there and walk out empty handed due to them not having what I need I have now switched stores. Came across Pet supplies Plus on Delaware and their store is LOADED with everything and completely stocked even through Covid and they have employees everywhere to help with my needs. Very impressed! My dog was super stressed being there for the 1st time & the staff there did everything they could to calm him down. They werent able to groom him that day but I realized I will have to have him trained so we will be back for private lessons.
Always friendly and welcoming. The isles are wide giving room for your dog to sniff and shop! There is a great selection of items and prices are comparable to other pet stores.
Nice staff, but not many available. Great selection of pet foods for dogs, cats, birds and fish. Aquarium Dept. is oddly designed, not well-staffed, and has a rather pedestrian stock of bowls, tanks, and accessories. The available fish are nothing you wouldnt find anywhere else, and seems to lean heavily on artificially neon-hued Frankenfish, dropping the whole stores rating to three stars for their pet food selection only.
Groomers at PetSmart , Gabrielle, very sweet, gentle and will be their future professional dig groomer. Highly recommend.
Pets Martha is a great place to shop. The aisles are clean and well organized. The staff is friendly, and they always have what I need.
So PetSmart keeps hundreds of fish in 15 gallon tanks however they will only sell you ONE fish per the recommendation on the fish label. Another customer said i thought the rule was one fish inch per gallon but the salesperson said this was not correct. BTW. The one inch per gallon fish rule is stated on the fish bag! I appreciate that this salesperson was concerned that the $2 fish would get stressed and die but If PetSmart was so concerned about the health of these fish they would follow the rules they are pushing on their customers.
We got our dog groomed here for the first time. I was able to get a same-day appointment for the evening. They took time to explain everything to us and we were very happy with how everything turned out!
We went to pet supply plus first to get a replacement fish for my 6 yr old son. Plus wouldnt sell me a fish because they said our tank was too small for two fish. The young man suggested I go to PetSmart. Traveled up Delaware and stopped into PetSmart. We have been to this plaza many times before but never realized PatSmart was there. The store is large. A little too large for their selection. We didnt get a chance to walk around too much, primarily focused on the fish. Staff wasnt overly friendly but also wasnt rude. We got a nice little fish.
We did puppy training with Stephanie and she was so kind and patient. Explaining each step along the way and making sure to celebrate the small wins as well as the big ones. It was such a great experience in the beginners course we will go back for the intermediate, advanced and therapy training so long as we can train with Stephanie. She was so helpful, catering to each dog individual learning style and explaining to us their behavior and how to help them grow into well behaved adult dogs. Can’t wait for our next set of classes to start!
I went in looking for a replacement harness for my cat. Found one in the dog section with help and Associates. There is always someone available to help me. It turns out the harness doesnt fit and I am headed back to return it. They are very good at returns😎
Today we took our two dogs for grooming. They came out looking beautiful. The groomer Ashley did an outstanding job. I highly recommend her. I know we will definetly want her service next time.Honestly there were times that we havent had the greatest cuts on them,but they do provide a great atmosphere and great customer service.
Its an ok place.One issue i had there is everyone thinks they are a vet. I just got a puppy and she was tiny and looked to be in bad shape at the time so i needed advice on shampoo so i asked an employee then she looked at my pup qnd said i doubt shell make it through the night. Just to let you know 10months later her is that once bald ,scabby, thin puppy Lola now loving every minute of life.
Poor customer service!!!! Will NEVER bring my dog here again for grooming with Renee . Made my dog bleed and left him 1/2 shaved and got the nerve to say ... I can fit him in next week to finish “. Do yourself a favor and go to a more experienced grooming service.

I spent about an hour buying the whole setup for my new 10 gallon. Madison was amazing she walked every aisle picking out what worked best for me and my fish, even took time to explain different foods benefits plants etc amazing experience i will go back just because of how great she was.
Cashier had an extremely in-depth conversation with people ALREADY cashed out in front of me about how much she HATES CATS and how they should burn (what does that even mean???)...as I have a bag of KITTEN FOOD on the belt, waiting patiently to check out... Made me wait FIVE MINUTES listening to that. Did not appreciate and will not go back. If you have cats, shop elsewhere.

One of the cleanest ones Ive been in. I always get my daughter beta fish from here. One lived for 18 months once with us we was sad when he died R.I.P Frosty Ice but they last and seem pretty healthy.
Not a typical experience here, the bath n brush service just didnt look like it was followed through ...usually live the handmade bows ...just looked cheap and fell out the bow unraveled .. first the process we pay off expect expectantly service, hopefully next time if there is one will be better ..
I rate PetSmart 5, so have been taking my for 2 year and the grooming is very goo. The staff is wonderful. I think that the company should raise there pay rate. Thanks PS: good work

Excellent really excellent several of the staff helped me find what I needed to as I am disabled and wheelchair-bound they were very helpful as far as showing me exactly where the items were and even letting me know that there were valuable coupons I could use to save money and my cashier was wonderful as well everyone is so eager to help I saved time and money and the experience was very very pleasant thank you very much
I love going here. The staff will leave you alone to look around for the most part but they are always really close by if you need help finding something. They cant seem to keep enough crickets in stock for my bearded dragon tho. Other then that I love this place. If you do need crickets I suggest going on a tuesday cause I think thats when they usually get a shipment in. Sometime after 4pm so if your a morning shopper then wedsday morning will do just fine
My go to place for cat supplies, but they have a great selection for all pets. I would give 5 stars if they carried Pure Vita chicken cat food. I have to order that online and is the best for cats being holistic..
PetSmart is great.Everytime I go to this Plaza there are PANHANDLERS!!!The stores need to get rid of this gang of freeloads hitting up customers inside and outside the Stores. Walking up to people in the parking lot asking for money.
The service from grooming was horrible. I understand that I was a walk in and they couldnt take my terrier... Nash was nice and asked Emily if she could take my dog. Emily didnt even acknowledge my existence, which was 10 ft away from her, as she flat out say no to Nash and proceeded to complain about all age had to do... take lunch and groom a goldendoodle 2 hours later... I walk around for 15 minutes and as I left... she was still sitting there... No one even offered me a later appointment... just a NO... I try to support businesses in the city but Im done with them.
This is where I go to shop for our kitties. Its a mixed bag of success. When we needed cat carriers earlier this summer this was a wonderful experience. The customer service person put both carriers together for me.PetSmart recently put out a $10.00 off $50.00 coupon and kittie boy needs a new cat tower. Sad to say what was available seemed too fragile for my 23 pound ball of fur. Ill be back just for no other reason than I like seeing the kitties up for adoption.
I took my dog in to the one on transit with me, looking at food..I want to get my dog something really healthy you know? Im reading the labels on the ingredients and I was approached by a manager Stephanie. As she approaches me she made a comment I didnt k ow they let Mexicans have dogs here too. I found this to be very ruid and felt racially violated. Im not even Mexican. I truly hope something is done with this place because its not the first time that customer service was absolutely terrible
My Melamine it loves going to petsmart We are always greeted by Cheerful employees who are very Knowledgeable. I really like the order online and pick up in store option normally comes with a 10% discount.
Went in today for mealworms, noticed dead fish in multiple tanks and all the goldfish looked like they were dying and very lethargic. Left without mealworms and wouldnt trust anything from this location. Absolutely disgusted for the lack of care for their animals, no matter how small.

Brought my dog in for grooming and was the absolute worse job I have ever seen. I own a 7 month old Zuchon (Bichon & Shitzu mix) approximately less than 15lbs and was told they were having difficulty grooming him due to biting. I had him groomed in the past at the vet, but could not get an appointment soon enough so I scheduled him here. The lady claimed she could not clip all his nails, finish his face, and he went to the bathroom on numerous occasions so she had to re bathe him. All of these issues never arose prior to taking him to be groomed at Petsmart. Upon picking him up you can clearly see he was traumatized and proceeded to urinate multiple times before even leaving the parking lot. ALL IS ODD BEHAVIOR FOR HIM. Being a previous dog owner I have never experienced this with a pet even if they are not spayed or neutered. Another worker then tried to blame his behavior of nipping and urination/defecation on him not being neutered. Clearly seeing I was unimpressed with the job they offered to take him back in a week to finish the job. I absolutely refuse to bring him back there. Lastly when I had to wait for them to re-bathe him I watched how the other groomers interacted with the dogs and one dog was winning in pain while she was cleaning his/her ears. I am not a professional, but I have never seen something like that before. If they are treating other dogs like that why should I bring mine back?

There was a pretty big selection of products and I was able to easily find what I was looking for. However it was a bit pricy, I could have gotten what I wanted for half the price on Amazon but I needed the product immediately so it was no big deal to pay the extra money.

Lucky Im giving them a 1 ... We always take coco to get her pawdi and never ever had a problem with grooming until yesterday..Ill be paying the manager a visit which i wont be happy about..as the groomer was giving the guy ahead of us his slip to pay she was telling and showing him what the little jerk Chihuahua did to her hands claimed it bruised her...but to call someones pet a jerk..i said well cocos a teacup chi and certainly not a jerk i handed my lil one over to her and we went right in front to pay that took maybe 3-4 minutes before we heard coco was ready..hmmm that fast? She only clipped cocos nails because she said her nose started to bleed which meant she was stressed..few hrs later Cocos right eyes was all red..the whole white part..i know for a fact they werent red because i had just given her a bath and wiped the corners of her eyes...i dont think they put a cone like i told them...coco was hit!! Google all her symtoms..trauma force..if this manager doesnt do anything about this groomer with me standing there i am going right over yi channel 4 news with coco and talk to al vaughters..i didnt get her name but Im sure its in the computer who she was! Trust me Im not happy and someone will be paying the vet bill...this has never happened before...she never had a nose bleed...this fat fk who hurt my chi will also have a nose bleed and blood red eye..not a threat its a promise! Hope manager looks into this and groomers should not be calling dogs names...wish i knew who took their chi there a few days ago...according to that pig she was calling your pet names..professional who we trust?? Never again!!!

The staff is friendly but the groomers are not up to par. After they got done with my puppy it looked like something my 8 year old niece could have done at home. My dogs right front leg fur was cut down much shorter than the rest of her legs and it was very noticeable. Her face was butchered that I had to cut some fur from her face when I got home. They also attempted to give her pigtails which one pink ponytail was in the front and one green ponytail was place off to the sidelines her head. They also had my sisters dog looking tragic one day but I still decided to give them a chance but never again when it comes to grooming.

Over the years the selections for small animal pets has really declined. Very disappointed in timothy hay and safe treats and non plastic houses for rodents.

Apparently if your dog is making the other animals in the pet store upset then you will be asked to leave. My dog didnt even notice the other animals and wasnt barking but we were told to go. No purchase made and Ill never return.

Please dont take ur dog for Grooming there I took my dog there they told me they know what they doing there were professional groomers working there I stay there looking how they to other dogs and there are awful with dogs they dont care about the dogs they only doing it just cause they getting paid I took my dog and left

2022-05-31I recently adopted a Great Dane puppy and was a little confused about what food to feed him, his vet appointment was 2 weeks from then and I was feeding him what the people I bought him from gave me. He didn’t like that food at all. Nicole was extremely helpful helping me choose a food for my pup. She even went above and beyond by giving me tips on what to look for as he grows. I’m very thankful for her help.

2022-06-14Pet adoption for a kitten was fun, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who showed genuine affection towards the animals under their care. The location was clean and organized. The animals were all healthy, playful, and extroverted towards customers. The adoption fees are reasonable considering each pet has been spayed/neutered, cared for, and given appropriate veterinary treatment during their time with foster parents.

2021-10-28Had to go to the Blvd location for grooming, wont go again. Elmwood Ave groomers are much better. Had a full bath and groom done on Murray Tues, had to vacuum the couch both Wed and Thurs due to all the hair! Never had that problem with Elmwood. They were extremely friendly and professional but apparently didnt brush him well enough.

2022-02-17Went to Petsmart on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo New York to get my puppy a haircut. I told the groomer Tricia to cut everything but his tail and the hair on the top of his head behind his eyes. I even had a clip in his hair just in case she needed it clipped while grooming him. I repeated myself to her probably 10 times. I repeated my self so much they looked at me like OK!! There was also another Groomer who overheard Me repeat myself and I’m like.. I’m just making sure that you do as I ask. I go to pick up my puppy who’s hair I have been growing since birth he’s about to be 1 Feb 19. All of his hair was cut an inch from his eyes on his head. Curl in his tail GONE!! She listened to nothing I said NOTHING!! when I went back in there to confront her she said not one word no apology no nothing. Her attitude was unacceptable And unprofessional. She did a horrible job on his haircut.

2021-02-20Great help from the lady staff. They both lifted my 125 gallon fish tank into my uhaul. So appreciative of them. Took 3 of us to get it into my house. Our turtle is a happy Lady. Thank you ladies.

2022-02-25Nice store, even though Im a cat owner and will be villified for the same, its a good place to get stuff for my cat. I do wish the prices werent so fluid from week to week for the food though.
