I would not recommend this company at all. I had rented a heated tent for a 90th birthday party. When the tent was setup I was told that someone would be back with 2 full tanks of propane -- well on the day of the party Joe came back with 1 half filled tank that soon ran out of gas . When I called Joe (the owner) I was told that he would try to get one of his workers to drop off another tank. Needless to say that didnt happen and I was left with a tent that wasnt used at all. Renting the tent and heater was a complete waste of money and Joe did nothing to take care of the situation -- I will never use this company again.
I have used Preferred Events for the past 6 years for corporate events and they have always done a wonderful job. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure that everything run smoothly and our event is a success! Highly recommend them.
I had my daughters sweet 16 party last year and while i was apprehensive for having such a big party the experienced staff really helped me with every facet of the party. Im not an interior designer (Im more of a bill payer) but the layout they chose with marvelous centerpieces really stole the show. Then they had this DJ that played every song a teenager wants to hear (minus the cursing). The smile on my daughters face meant the world to me! Ive recommended Preferred Events to my employees, friends and family. Great work!
I had called this company over a week before my event and had a complicated tent setup. The gentleman I spoke with told me he would be at my house a week before to measure and access it. He never showed. I called the day after he didnt show and he apologized and said he would be there that afternoon. Again a no show. Then I called everyday after that and got a voice-mail which I left messages on and got no return call. Finally I got someone different on the phone two days before my party which was supposed to be on a day with rain and wind. They told me they might not be doing tents because of the weather and would let me know the day before. The day before they called and at this point I had already found someone else. But they said they wouldnt be doing tents anyway because of the potential weather. I highly doubt they cancelled all of their bookings. No other tent company was doing that.
This company came highly recommended, but my experience was not as positive as i had anticipated. I called twice over a two day period, spoke with 2 different girls and one was more useless then the next. They didnt know anything about prices or what they actually sell, and kept me on hold at least 7 times in a 5 minute call (which only ended because I hung up!). How does this place stay in business???
Preferred events put up the most spectacular tent in my yard. There chairs were sparkling clean. Their delivery and pickup service were first class - I would recommend to my friends!
Wow! What can I say, its 15 degrees outside and the Preferred Events team just installed a heated tent, dance floor and bar in a few hours. It is 70 degrees inside this tent. Absolutely an amazing job! 5 stars!
Team did a great job. Clean tents and chairs! Highly recommend! Had a awesome bounce house as well.Happy staff even though it was like 90degrees and humid!
They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I have used them for my last 3 events. 2 of the partys had over 125 people and the 3rd was smaller with only 50 people. Joseph and his entire staff are professional, and very detail orientedI totally recommend this company!!
Another company left me hanging, so I called PE. What a good choice. Staff was so helpful. Got me what i needed, Installed and removed without any damage to my property. Will recommend in the future.
I have been using Preferred Events for many years now, from tents, tables and chair rentals to bounce houses, snow cones and pretzel machines They have it all. There staff is always helpful and profeesional. I highly recomend Prefered Events.
Just had a heated tent installed, its 30 degress outside and ints 70 degrees in our tent. We could not be happier. Highly recommend! We will use this company in the future.

Preferred Events had a photo booth at my Sons elementary school dance and it was a HIT! Over 500 students and it was flawless. Highly recommend!
The tent, tables, chairs and heater that I rented, were in excellent condition. The weather was unusually cold, and my party would have been a disaster if I didnt have the tent and heater.

This place have many variety of equipment for your party needs. The service from the sales people were not good, couple of missed appointments without calling back isnt acceptable business practice to me.

2017-10-29Absolutely amazing!! I cannot thank you all enough for helping to make my sons Bar Mitzvah extra special. We had torrential rain and with the amazing folks at Preferred Events - you did not even know it was raining. The tent was secure and I felt at ease the entire day!!! Joe is so great to deal with and his staff is the best! I will be booking my next party with them soon!Used Preferred Events again for my Halloween Party and could not have been happier!!! Everything was perfect. Joe and Stephanie were incredible to work with and helped me select everything to make it amazing!!! The men who came to set up and take down were also a pleasure. This company is top notch! No complaints!

2017-07-14Above and Beyond! Joe and the entire Preferred Events staff were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, caring, and full engaged in our wedding preparations, set-up and break down.Our wedding took place at a beach house in Oak Beach, with the ceremony taking place about a 1/4 mile away at a local park. Lets just say, conditions were not ideal. We were dealing with 15-20 mile an hour winds and the threat of rain for the entire ceremony and reception, but everything that Joe handled was perfect, from flooring, to tents, tables, chairs, bars, etc,.from the ceremony to reception,. Joe even brought in extra workers to make sure that our tents were secure in the wind for our reception and assisted the florist in anchoring the arch that we got married under at the ceremony.Let me give you a little insight into how Joe works for and with you as a customer. The Preferred Events staff began setting up three days prior to our wedding, laying down the subfloor to cover all of the sand in the backyard. The night before our wedding, at our rehearsal dinner, I was told I needed to call Joe and discuss a tent situation: I had forgotten to add an extra tent to our order in case it rained. Obviously, we were freaking out, being that it was the night before the wedding and we were theoretically short a tent. I called Joe, he calmed me down, kept me on the phone while he walked through his warehouse inventory and simply said at the end, Jon, dont worry, we got this. This is what I do.And with that, we were completely put at ease and confident that Joe was taking care of our wedding preparations. We were also reassured that we had definitely hired the right people, and for the right price. Everyone who saw our invoice said the prices were absolutely fair. There were no hidden fees, unexpected charges, or surprises in any way.If you want to know that your event will be expertly and professionally set up, and know that the company you have hired actually cares about your event and will do everything they can to make it special, immediately hire Joe and Preferred Events. If we threw another party and needed rentals, I wouldnt even think about going anywhere else.

2018-10-24I wouldn’t use any one else for my party rentals! Excellent customer service started from the very first phone call with Stephanie. She knew her products inside and out and had a worker sent to my home for measurements the very same day. She worked with me to create the perfect vision for my backyard engagement party and her suggestions (go with the classy linens instead of plastic) really helped bring it together. There was a storm that week and she arranged her workers to set it up before the day of the party so we didn’t have to scramble the morning of. The guys on the truck were on time, polite, respectful of my property and worked efficiently. They came the day after to break down and were just as pleasant. A big thank you to preferred events for helping me pull off an awesome backyard party! Thank you for making the process smooth and stress free. Will be recommending you guys and definitely will be working with you again in the future!

2017-07-04Thanks to Preferred Events for making our twin daughters graduation party a success. The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. I left the showroom feeling as if I knew everyone there for years. They had great suggestions and helped me make every decision down to the linens. I would definitely use them again and be happy to recommend them to my family and friends! Until our next event!

2016-07-06Joe and his team were amazing!! I had a party on Friday of July 4th weekend and with only a few days to get a tent, Joe and his team came through with two tents, one in the back and one in the front to save the day. The rains and wind came and the tents were great, they saved our party!! I would recommend them to anyone. They were courteous, professional and extremely reliable. Preferred Events will now have a customer for life. Thank you again for coming through to save the day!!

2016-07-18Preferred Events was there for my wedding! Love the music the DJ played and friendly faces. They also offered great suggestions, for example instead of the bouquet toss we did an anniversary dance where all married couples where called to dance and through a series of announcements whoever was married the longest remained on the dance floor with me and my husband and then received the bouquet. His grandma was so touched it was perfect! They completely set up an awesome photo booth that printed two strips of every photo so we had a copy to keep! Did a wonderful job and always look out for our best interest during the big day!

2017-05-16The team at preferred events is amazing! From the girls in the office, to Joe, to the men who set up and broke down. Each person was more helpful than the next. Professionalism at its finest. Would recommend them to anyone. Should have seen them in action, had a party this past weekend in a nor-easter , and the tent was a fortress. Guests had no idea about poor weather conditions around them. Couldnt have asked for any better.

2018-06-01Thank you PE! Forecast was rain and I called and had a tent delivered the same day. The staff at the office was extremely accommodating when I walked into their showroom unannounced. Marvin was such a gentleman on our delivery today. Thanks again and I highly recommend!
