This review is for my experience with the app. I decided to try it because my friend and sister recommended it once.1. My driver picked up the wrong passenger at first. Didn’t even confirm. He’s lucky I found his car before they pulled off at the red light. I got in and the other passenger got out.2. Driver verbally changed the price from $24.75 which was on the app to telling me it’s now $35 and then making a phone call to to another person saying it’s now $32.3. Halfway through the ride my ride is cancelled on the app and no longer exists. The driver claims it’s because of a $2.75 charge that they would’ve given me for passing 96th street and coming into the city from the Bronx. That makes no sense! Why was my ride cancelled in the database?4. Driver was taking me to the wrong address. He drove 8 minutes past my area before I realized and told him to turn back around.5. My driver was chewing/popping his gum and kept his mask off the whole time.This was a terrible service! My first time trying it. I will never use it again.
The dispatcher on the phone told us 3 minutes. We called back when the car was not here by the ten minute mark. We were told he was right around the block. Ten more minutes later we called back again asked where the car was and got hung up on by a female dispatcher. We called back one more time asked where the car was told him we were waiting more than half an hour he asked where we were we told him, he put us on hold for over five minutes! Then came back on told us no cars and immediately hung up!! Rude and unprofessional never ever calling again!
I called prestige and attempt to get car service was told the car would be to my address in three minutes however after 10 minutes with no car I called back and was advised they didn’t have anything until after 12 noon.Bottom line Uber or Lyft or use Via. Prestige is no longer prestige but rather a pretentious little car service firm Still using town cars from the early 2000s.You have officially lost my vote!
Awesome & Quick Service and Ive been a customer for YEARS! NEVER had a bad experience. Usually the person who answers at the dispatch station seems really polite and clear when speaking. 👏 Lastly, dont take to long meeting your driver. If anything, you will receive a courtesy call from your driver.
What is happening to our New York and Bronx car services??? These car company’s have no cars when customers really need it. No morning cars, it’s impossible to get a car when it’s rainingTheir slogan no longer applies. You call and we are there get there …is a lie!!! No longer reliable.
All I could say is prestige is my card service for years I love them they always on time they always nice people driving those cars and the dispatcher they are always nice one day I had to go out in the middle of the night to the hospital and they were there on time the guy even gave me a card and told me to call if I needed him he was so respectful and so nice and so compassion I love prestige car service because they are always there when I call them and if not the man always say call back in a few minutes that I will get you a cab I remember in a storm I couldnt get home and he told me that he will find me somebody to get me home and he did I appreciate this car service their respectful reliable and in my book thats where we all need thanks for all your help
Im always waiting on the dispatcher to confirm ride, I usally get a last minute call from the driver saying he is outside, now i have to rush because the dispatchers can not do there job and get back to you about the estimated wait of arrival. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM DISPATCH EVERYTIME
Disgusting service. The men that answer the phone either keep you on hold forever, hang up or place you on hold in the middle of you speaking.. or say a car is available in 7 min when its really 15 min. When you ask for a manager or their name, they refuse to give the information... They seem to think that us consumers have no idea how to report businesses that we feel are unethical or disrespectful.
Used to be a great car service. I had driver who left my sister and I in the freezing cold the other day at Bronx Community College because he pretended to not see us with all the other cabbies. I asked him to put on his blinkers and blow his horn and he did neither but drove off. The dispatcher didn’t even take accountability, no apology, nothing. Worst driver and car service. 👎🏼🤷🏽♂️
I always get told my cab will pick me up a certain amount of minutes but the cab NEVER arrives. A day ago I called the base not only twice but four times, the last was to try to leave my feedback for bad service, each time I called to ask where was the car and who was the driver I was told oh sorry mami, Ill send another because they picked up. Just chose another car service and avoid problems.
First of all, i called for a taxi, couldn’t hear them at all, my iPhone volume was all the way up and their basically whispering, i asked if they can hear me well and whoever that was yelled YES! Mad angry for what? It was literally a 2 second phone call “ hello, can you hear me well? “ i hung up right after. Be a little more professional, ridiculous
If I could give them NO STARS I would! Disgusting customer service! The worst “car service” I have ever had the displeasure of using. Unfortunately where I am, in the middle of basically nowhere, this is my only option of transportation at evening times seeing as how the buses stop running after a certain hour. Its a damn shame how the dispatchers always lie about the estimated arrival time of their drivers, often having me waiting for twice as long as they originally say. Do NOT call them
Two stars because :#1. Some drivers over charge#2. Many drivers love to text and drive.#3. Drivers love to talk onphone.#4. Drivers have no patience.#5. Some drivers love to speed.#6. The female drivers stay on the phone with the kids, husbands, family in their country.
Driver claims he doesnt know the price to where Im going and starts to run the meter Ive never took a cab where they go by the meter which he took the long route to my home ,most taxi usually take the shorter route, i did call the dispatcher for the price which i did get over not happy with that car service.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CAR SERVICE!!One recent time I took Prestige Car Service to Manhattan for my step-brothers chemotherapy treatments, Manny Car#204 was supposed to pick us up and called 19 minutes before pickup time and left no voice message. The nastiest Customer Service I ever dealt with, The Dominican Guy is so rude and disgusting. I just wanted the price he hung up on me then second time I called I said let me speak to your manager he hung up on me once again! I Will never take a cab from this company ever again or refer anybody from here. They don’t appreciate their customers like Uber! Once again if it wasn’t for us customers they would not have no JOB!! Or make no money . So just by less customer and less calling to get a taxi the more they’ll get out of business ! Because of their behavior.
😡😡😡😡😡👎👎👎👎👎👎 The worst cab company I have ever had to deal with I called and asked how much was it from John Jay College to Broadway in Queensthe lady said $12 then when Im in the cab the guy tried to charge me $55 and I always pay $15 I gave him $15 and was kicked out of the cab I will never take this cab company ever again!!! I used this company everyday to work and to go home for over 2 years! I love most of the drivers... the female dispatcher in the morning and the one at night ARE BOTH AMAZING!!! but i HATEEEE the male dispatchers!!! SPECIALLY THE ONE ON SAT EVENINGS!! No respect from them. One nasty guy working sat sept 29 around 5-6 hung up on me rudely after I called back to tell him he needed to be more professional, he proved me right once again by saying “u know what” and hung up on me!!! He needs some phone etiquette ASAP! The males always have the nastiest attitude, which I don’t understand. Get another job that makes u happy, like u have a job because of costumers like me! WILL NEVER CALL PRESTIGUE AGAIN! Back to kiss car or any other company as long as it’s not you guys !
They have no customer service skills on the phone but thats because they hire their family and the expectation is low. When you use the app they cancel rides and say you werent their and the dispatcher actually defends them and say it was you. But hey its the Bronx I guess thats the service and provide and demand
Most of the time friendly. But will charge you your life for a ride. I live 2 miles from my job in queens. The tolls are only $12 with an ez pass. Which they have and they have the nerve to charge me $60. Don’t waste your money. Track down a yellow cab and pay the $25
I had ordered a car through the prestige application and MD B was sent to pick up my mom who is disabled. The application said the trip is $20. This man was so rude that throughout the ride he was on his phone talking his language which I think is Bangladesh and loud. Once my mom got to the arrival he charged her an extra $5 because of 45 minutes traffic which i never heard of if the application stated $20. I dont mind paying $5 extra. But as a tip. But he didnt even help her get out of the car when she is disabled. What kind if reliable service is this? So disrespectful and unprofessional.
STAY AWAY!We have used Prestige every week for 6 months, called tonight, dispatcher said 4 minutes. The car never shows and when we call to find out if one is still coming we were berated and called liars by the dispatcher who then refused to send any other cabs. This shockingly occurred in about a 20 second span, and then they hung up.NEVER USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!I hope their drivers know their dispatchers are throwing rides away.
By phone they told me $85 for the trip but it was actually $100. He took the longer route, didn’t pay the tolls and said is 85 plus the toll. Then when I called to complain they said he cannot do anything because the taxi left. So, you cannot trust them, they robbed me, even Uber was cheaper.
Just had surgery, and my car is getting fixed , so I called a car from prestige for my girlfriend and her boys, I had to give the driver instructions on how to get her home even though he had GPS, and when he gets them there he over shoots the address by two blocks ,refused to go back , and tells them to get out, for no reason, she was not nasty in any way , just asked him to drop her off in front of her door, its cold outside and the kids had to walk 2 blocks to their house.and demands 15 dollars for a 10 dollar ride, I gave her the money , when she called, I said just pay it. Prestige , you just lost a regular customer .
I used to be a driver for this company This was the 1st base I worked with when I 1st got my TLC License I was car number 306 For prestige1 at 204 in Webster And number 2029 from prestige2 Westchester square I just had to let them go Even as a customer I just had to stop using them
No not use this cab company terrible service. This company usually charges $45 to my desitination but I took a ride where the cab driver refused to call the base and proceeded to charge me $60 for a ride that cost $45 the night prior. When I called the base to make a complaint they put me on and I never got to speak to anyone. 0 stars. Terrible service.
I requested for a car service for a patient leaving Montefiore Hospital at 5AM. A man answered and said 4 minutes then hangs up without even letting me finish.( The patient was leaving from the ER and has a separate entrance from the main hospital) I call again to clarify but he keeps saying 4 minutues! and hangs up without letting me finish! When I call again he says you know what we dont have car service at this time, call again later! then hangs up again. Thank god for Uber and Lyft- its crappy service like this that turns people off and take their money elsewhere

Drivers always busy on phone while they have guest in the Car ,and top of that they are very loud, sad I tried to make a complaint but dispatcher dont want to listen, and my two childrens used their service 5days a week for school pickup and drop back to home, looking another service for them because they everyday come home upset about same complaint,

The app does not give you accurate prices. Also, they send drivers not that is not apart of their company !! Never use this car service for your own safety and protection!!!

2022-05-05DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They simply don’t care. Unfortunately we use these people for my grandmothers medical appointment. They are never on time to pick up, they have made her miss appointments and when they say 15 minutes to pick up, they are LYING, they haven’t even found a car yet. Super unprofessional.

2022-05-31I use the prestige app and I believe it is really good for somebody that doesnt want to have a credit card on a cab app and it follows the ride as well as any other app cuz I use it sometimes for my 12 year old son to go back and forth to places its a great app to use thank you prestige

This cab driver R Navarro Mejia was driving reckless ,Driving fast to break short and close too every car we came in contact with to the point where you thought he was going hit the car in front of you ! Not to mention the feel of whiplash , And the baby keep jerking forward not matter how we held her !

2022-02-23I called from the hospital and they never showed up or called me to tell me their location. There was no marked car. I had just had surgery the day before. I was stranded and had to walk to to a bus stop and ride a bus. ( Which was not recommended at the time.)
