We have a powerline issue on Long Island. I called PSEG twice and they promised that the issue will be resolved in a few hours. They never came, never fixed anything and I can not even get them on the phone during two days. I think these people taking someone else place at work if they ignoring their customers. It is a one-star company and customer service.

I wish there was another company to choose from on Long Island. Ive have a billing issue with PSEG LI (Mistake made on their end) Which I wouldnt mind if it werent a 5 month ongoing issue and that if every month that I have to call Im paired with a customer service rep with a bad attitude (minus one male rep, I wish I remembered his name!) PSEG is the WORST

We have no power for almost 10 days. Yesterday PSEG finally fixed the pole and power wire on the street and our neighbors are getting power one by one in the afternoon. Around 3pm, PSEG called me said that I need to have my own licensed electrician around to assist them restoring power to my house, never heard of it, and their so called supervisor insisted and said that is the rule. I did got the electrician at 5PM but the crew supposed to come didnt show up and two other PSEG people in the corner with PSEG truck were telling the electrician something totally confusing, I have to pay the electrician and let him go. After three more phone calls in the evening to PSEG customer service, their supervisor called back, again on getting electrician to our house to assist the energizing. Without power whole night, I called PSEG this morning at 7, and finally spoke to someone who is knowable and helped escalate to the right department, and two PSEG guys came around 8:30 and just surveyed our property and send us the power. There is no electrician and no need to getting into our house. The chaotic and disorganizing of PSEG are just shocking. It is not that they dont have enough people, to the contrast, they hired too many people, and some of them are giving wrong orders and contradict with each other at the cost of customers.

Not only did they perform terribly in getting power restored after the storm (as well as communicating updates), but now theyre passing off the extra costs to the customers who should be getting discounts for the lost power. My bill for August went up $30 compared to the previous month when I was without power for a week? Turns out they increased the daily charge by $1.36 compared to last month, and $1.54 compared to last August. Theres no way Im buying that the price increase was just due to a hot August.

There is incompetence, and there is PSEG-level incompetence.Prior to Tropical Storm Isaias, PSEG assured customers that they were ready and prepared for the storm. On Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, my neighborhood lost power at 2:15 PM. That afternoon, we were given an estimate of Thursday, Aug. 6, for power restoration. On Thursday, Aug. 6, the estimated time because Friday, Aug. 7.On Friday, Aug. 7., the estimated time became Saturday, Aug. 8.On Sunday, Aug. 9, the estimated time became Monday, Aug. 10.PSEG touts it’s “thousands of workers” working “around the clock,” but the customers are given four different restoration estimates for a storm PSEG claimed to have been prepared for. PSEG claims to understand that this outage comes at a bad time due to large swaths of the population working from home, but there are no signs of their concern. Their customer helpline provides untrue information. Their app provides no updates. Their social media provides no responses to queries. The Company provides no help at all.Paying PSEG is like burning money in a bonfire, because we can’t even turn on our own stoves to burn the cash.

Without power for 8 1/2 days. No communication or ability to connect with someone there. You think PSEG would at least give their customers a free month of service for compensation but nothing. This is what happens when were left with government enforced power monopolies.

I wouldnt even give it one star. Probably the worst company ever. We still havent restored power. This is day 7, we have elderly and a toddler in the house. We threw away lots of food. This is unacceptable. Having a big company, you should have been ready for the disaster. THE WORST!!!!!!!

Such a bad company it is. Only in difficult times, you know who is your friend. Same way, everything seemed great with psegli but when tough times came, they could not serve well. Their servers, phone all were dead. With weather forecasting advanced systems, we all knew this storm was coming but pseg preparation was terrible. What is the use of having such information in advance if one cannot utilize it properly. Knowing people were already going through virus pandemic, pseg should have done more preparation than ever. Knowing people were working from home due to pandemic, they should have put a better plan in place. This company is a total disaster, unprofessional and insensitive.

No power since yesterday , 8/4/20 at 1:30 pm. Both my husband and I cannot get any information or updates from the phone or website. My livelihood is at stake, and I don’t know when I will get internet or electricity back. Today? Tomorrow? Next week? Makes it very hard to make a plan or do anything! My husband relies on a c/Pap breathing device to sleep. Since he cannot use it w/out electricity, very scary. There should be more information and answers for the public. We pay so much. This is disgraceful!!!

PSEG came in to replace LIPA... due to their fail during SUPER STORM SANDY . 6years later Tropical Storm Isaias came and we ate currently 4 days with out power. My mother has medical equipment that need to work with electricity and their answer was to bring her to a hospital. Thanks PSEG for the total fail and great work on getting crews ready for this little Tropical Storm.
