Visited last week with a friend and our almost four-year-old daughters. We were very excited and unfortunately were highly disappointed. We booked two adjoining rooms with full beds. The rooms were immediately a letdown:- Smelled of cigarette smoke- Dirty and in desperate need of a cleaning & update- Our toilet seat was broken (nervous the littles would cut themselves on it)- Found moldy coffee in the coffee pot- Cookies on the floor- Dirty bedding- Hair in the tub- Razor blade in the bathroomHonestly, it looked as if no one cleaned the room whatsoeverWe decided we would head down to the waterpark to see if this was any better. The girls had a blast at the waterpark! However, around the water attractions, pieces of metal were sticking out and there was a need for more staff to monitor. Children were being children, climbing up the slides, going down slides at the same time, etc. There were only two staff members on duty - one to monitor the basketball pool and one to monitor the mini slides / play area.Since our girls were having so much fun playing together, we decided to make the best of the situation. We headed over to Target (right next store) and purchased pillows, sheets, blankets, Febreze and cleaning supplies. We did a full clean of the rooms and we ended up staying the night.Overall, this was a huge let down. If you do plan on visiting, be prepared to bring your own bedding, cleaning supplies and plan time to clean the room prior to your stay. The only reason we stayed was that our littles were having so much fun. Very disappointing!
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. To begin the building itself is covered in dirt and you can even read the old Halliday inn sign sunburnt on the building. The lobby tries to redeem itself but once you get to the third floor the mismatched furniture and smoky smell in the non smoking rooms coupled with the holes in the walls and cigarette burns on the comforter really make this stay less than satisfactory. The wallpaper pealing off the walls, the carpet coming off the walls and overall tarnished appearance really make this hotel a horrible stay. Like they say you get what you pay for.
The hotel was dirty and unkept, the pool was closed when we arrived as well as water slides. The water was very cloudy, hot tub was not hot and only luke warm. Ceiling vent was falling down in room and toilet was clogged upon arrival. Needless to say we left and got a full refund and stayed down the road. Do not recommend.
Do NOT stay here! The price is low but it is not worth it. The bedding was filthy and stained. As was the chair. The room smelled moldy and the bathroom was literally falling apart. Besides the pictures I included, the counter had a long crack. We couldn’t stay and left earlier than intended.
This place was so disgusting. I don’t know how they are allowed to be open for business. There was literally blood in the bathroom. On the door, over the toilet, and on the floor. The sheets had been changed but the comforter and cover had not been. There had clearly been a dog in the room as there was animal hair all over. The sink was broken. There were greasy handprints in the shower. Everything was stained. The whole place smells like smoke. The longer I was in the room the more worried I became about my safety. I will never stay here again. I would rather sleep in my car before laying out even $10.
Hmmm where do I start my boyfriend and I been coming here with the kids for three years. To say the least at first wasn’t bad however the same stuff is broke and never fixed the outside looks like someone brought there trash and tossed it in the yard. No food to buy or drinks in the park but signs everywhere saying no outside food in the pool area😶 No breakfast like it says! Not one door locks every one and there brother walking in the pool area not even register to be there ! If I was the OWNER HE SHOULD JUST CLOSE IT UP ! Ohh yeah one more thing can’t staff people so let’s say the slides are broke so no one can get on them 🙄
Went here to be close to a sporting tournament and it was disgusting. The smell of mold and cigarettes was overwhelming. The walls are literally falling down. Broken glass bottles by the doors. Very questionable clientele hanging around. I deadbolted the door and pushed the table in front of it. I would not recommend this place ever again!
Positive: Very large parking lot. Too bad there werent any scheduled chili or BBQ cook-off competitions. With the size of the convention center and the parking lot it could happen all at once! Negative: Incomplete renovation of guest laundry facilities, general upkeep of building interior not that great. Additional electrical outlets in rooms would be nice
While the front desk staff was very nice and check in was quick the cleanliness or the hotel common areas, rooms, and water park were disgusting. The rooms were not only out dated but from the walls, curtains to the bed sheets there were stains everywhere. The smell of musk/mold over powered both suites.
I realize that the Quality hotels are on the lower end of the Choice brands but this hotel was nasty. The staff appeared helpful and friendly but the hotel itself was terrible especially for being touted as a Waterpark/Resort. The health department had closed down the on site restaurant. Did not use wifi.
Every area of the hotel was filthy. Soiled towels left in our room. The furniture was so dilapidated that large pieces would fall off when touched. Fights in the lobby not dealt with. The public restroom was out of soap and paper towels for a whole day. Simply the worst stay ever!
Sad that our first time there we couldnt even get the room we paid for since there was none available. We tried to stay there on our next trip & housekeeping clearly can not do their jobs. The toilet was so dirty I had to clean it myself before I would use it! There was still food in fridge from whoever stayed there last. Just a shame.
Parts of the hotel are haunted (which did not bother us, but may cause un-comfort for some, see many other reviews about various smells). Price was good, room was spacious, bedding was comfortable & staff was friendly. HOWEVER, the building is in serious dis-repair, to the point that Im sure it violates several health & safety codes. Needs a complete re-model, possibly demolition.
FILTHY- tried 3 different rooms before cancelling. All beds were dirty- stains on the sheets and comforters. Hair on the sheets. Holes in walls, furniture torn apart. Bathrooms unclean. Repugnant smells. Could not bare to stay here let alone date go into the water park. If I could give negative stars I would.
Lobby was not heated, doors barely closed. Outside was dirty garbage everywhere, parking lot was like an off-road adventure. Our bathroom had rusty metal by tub and ceiling, sink was cracked and half falling off the wall. Carpet was filthy trash under bed. Other areas of carpeting was torn and falling apart. Bed looked broken was not flat at all. HVAC was loud and had a terrible smell. Not a great or relaxing place to stay.
Positive: That the lobby had dippin dots machine. Negative: The cleanliness was not there at all, you can tell the housekeeping staff don¿t know how to clean. The room smelled so musty when you first walk in. As cleaning houses and hospitals are past jobs ~ whoever was on housekeeping gets paid for chilling.
Checked out but, had to go back to room to get my cell phone. I discovered a maid in the room that left so, I could look for my phone. One bed was made and there were no dirty or additional sheets in the room. Meaning they never changed the sheets and just made the bed! I will never stay there again. 😰
From the outside it looks abandoned, and the hallways could use a vacuum. It reeks of marijuana, and a lot of the interior halls are literally falling apart. Reading all this, you would expect the rooms to be bad, but nope. One of the most comfortable hotel rooms weve stayed in. They felt extra spacious compared to other hotel rooms weve been in, and nothing was wrong with them. Good appliances, relaxing shower, ice machine, friendly staff, and just all around a great room experience. From the other reviews, it sounds like its really up to chance if you get a good room or not though, so book at your own risk.
Our first room had no running water in the shower. Had to get moved to a different room while on a time clock to be ready for a wedding. Upon returning from said wedding none of our room keys worked to get into the room (at 2:30am). After spending about 15 minutes trying to figure it out with the front desk employee and nothing was working the manager was then contacted. The manager who gave authority to the front desk employee to use the master card to try and get into our room, also didn’t work. After about 15 minutes more of talking with the manager via phone and trying to get in the room the hotel manager was then contacted. In addition, it was suggested my hotel staff that we simply sleep in another room (in our clothes from the wedding and without our belongings) and wait for the manager to come in at 8am the next morning, very unacceptable. Finally the hotel manager showed up and used a larger stack of master cards, after the poor front desk employee tried using a metal rod to open our door from under the door, to get us in our room. It was now about 45 minutes later and when asking the hotel manager if there was something he could do to get a refund for our room after all the issues we had incurred that afternoon/evening all he replied with was that he could look into discounting our rate. Which I also find unacceptable and poor customer service on his part. I have not seen any refund being processed yet so I will be in touch with the company this week.
The hotel is tired and dirty. A lot of indoor and outdoor noise. I didnt feel particularly safe there. Recommend looking elsewhere - whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. This is the secondChoice Hotel Quality Inn I have stayed at recently and unfortunately, the brand is sub par. I was able to get a copy of my bill because even the printer was broken. The only redeeming thing I can say is that the front desk staff was helpful, but they dont have much to work with here.
This particular quality in feels like it was recently renovated back in 2002. Its been well maintained but unfortunately Ive noticed that its feeling its age. The indoor water park sounds like a great time however my family was sick, not of covid thank God, and so we didnt use that portion of the facility and I cant speak of the quality or safety of that. The building is solid though storied, theres minor cosmetic damage all over the side entrances especially. The most alarming is the function of the outside door itself which swung freely in the air despite a sign mentioning that it would be locked for security reasons between 11pm and 7am. Its to be expected being so close to I-90, highways in general always bring in crime alongside all their benefits. The room itself was clean and in good enough repair to not make me feel more dirty than having been on the road for some time. The staff are polite, kind, and understanding which is a godsend to say the least.Overall a pleasant place to stay after being on the road for an extended amount of time.
Rented 2 rooms. Rooms were okay if you ignore the hole in one bathroom door and big chip in one sink and fact that other rooms sink was falling through the stand, and the stains on the bedding. But overall rooms suited the purpose of a place to sleep for the night and showers were Great! Hallways did not look like they had been vacuumed in a week. Stairways were disgusting. But my biggest issue was the one exit door was completely blocked off, walled over, so we could not get to parking lot closest to our rooms. The bigger problem with that is there were no signs to indicate that exit was sealed off from the 3rd floor so you wouldnt know until you got to 1st level, then the 1st level door back into the residential area was locked so had to go back upstairs and around. So if there had been an emergency and we needed to exit the hotel in a hurry, and did not know the exit was sealed, we could had been trapped. Perhaps hotel can find some markers and paper and make signs... Something! This could potentially be very Dangerous!
I wish I could give ZERO stars. Place stinks horribly, ceiling falling apart. We chose this hotel because they had a water park with a hot tub, and We were really looking forward a nice soak in the hot tub. When we checked in the sign said the water park was for hotel guests only (which we were), but yet when we called the front desk and inquired about buying tickets we were informed that we needed to have a child under 12 years of age with us to utilize the Waterpark (it was only me and my fiance), NO WHERE on the website for the hotel or Waterpark does it say under 12 only. Had we known we couldnt utilize the hot tub we would not have stayed at this hotel. The night we checked in we were leaving to go to dinner (The elevator close to our room was by the Waterpark) imagine our surprise when a group of 4 adults walked out of the Waterpark (No kids around them). I was MAD but decided not to go to the front desk and say anything because I knew I wouldnt be able to keep my cool. We left through a side door, that we discovered was NOT secure AT ALL, anyone could just walk in.I can honestly say this was the WORST hotel experience I EVER had I was tempted to just leave and drive home rather then staying the night there.
Waste of money and time. This place was not up to code nor Standards. There is a major improvement needed. When addressed in he Manager was rude. Toilet had issues. Freezer I. The fridge had never been defrosted and couldn’t even open the door. Was promised verbally a roll away cot and my son had to sleep on the floor. If there were another hotel I would of left but had reservations all over the area and would of lost more money. Very u satisfied
Positive: My kids liked the water park. Negative: It was not clean. The elavators were broken. Vending machine on my floor was empty. Stuff on my floor indicated that room was not cleaned properly. Whole hotel smelled. There was dog feces in the hallway. The hotel was awful.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Floors all over the hotel were covered in crumbs and dirt. It seemed like they hadn’t vacuumed in months. Our room was a completely different story. The window was dripping water and was covered in mold. You can see the picture of the curtain that was moldy. There was also rust in the shower and something gross on the table. There was one non working remote for two TVs, and we were given no sheets for the pull out bed, nor toilet paper. This was BY FAR the absolute worst place I’ve ever stayed. Would not recommend.
I see this hotel could use some up dating and has the potential to be a wonderful place, with the space to hold big events and the right backing it could even bring excitement to Batavia in the cold of winter. Need to use the outside lighting and fix the entries. The people working there are very nice always a pleasure to stay.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I believe for health and safety reasons this location should be condemned. Staff was courteous but the property was grossly under kept. I did not feel safe as the extra lock to our room was removed. Additionally the side entrances couldn’t be locked to prevent strangers from entering the property. The room was stained, from the carpet to the bed sheets and towels. Water damage was present in our rooms.
Positive: Location was good. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and in good working order. All staff were very pleasant. Negative: Looked abandoned upon driving up. So empty inside lobby. Hallways were filled with the overwhelming smell of marijuana. Indoor waterpark was closed, only operating Friday and Saturday. Even outdoor pool and fitness center were closed.
Hotel is in need of major updates and renovations along with a deep clean. We stayed in a suite and the first room we were in had blood spatter on the wall and ceiling. The walls were peeling and damaged. The ceiling had water marks on tiles. The furniture was in rough shape with dings, scratches, and just in need of major updating. The front desk clerk was very nice and did take care of us immediately. He let us view another suite prior to moving rooms. The first floor had a weird smell, at one point I stepped in gum on the floor of the lobby, and all of the photos online are incredibly outdated. The cleaning staff is either understaffed or they just dont care. Our next room was better but still was met with peeling wallpaper and there was a cup in the door handle of the door that joined to the neighboring room due to a doorknob being missing. The indoor waterpark was also not as expected based on online photos. The outdoor pool could not be used at all. Many games in the indoor arcade were out of order. This hotel has a lot of potential but is in need of massive cleaning, updates, and maintenance.
I would like to give this 0 stars but the hot man at the front desk. made me give it 1 star.but anyways the beds had crumbs, the ceilings were dusty and moldy, it smelled like mold, smoke, and pot, there was chewed gum on our floor and when looking around the hotel the laundry room looked abandoned and everything was everywhere. i absolutely DO NOT recommend this hotel. DONT STAY HERE
Kinda gross, the door stuck so badly that you had to use all your body weight just to get into the room. The staff was very nice and friendly, but the rooms were dirty, with toys left behind from the previous people. The bed had a burn hole on the blanket, and I didnt feel comfortable enough to take off my shoes once I got into the room.
Well first off the first room they put me in was never cleaned from previous stayer. There was dirty towels and garbage still in trash cans and beds never made. Then the second room they put me in had someone’s blood covered underwear in the corner or room and garbage under the bed. The customer service was the worst when I called about first room being dirty they upgraded me to the bloody underwear room the hotel clerk didn’t even apologize for the dirty room just gave me new room key and didn’t say anything just “I upgraded you “. Then when I was leaving and check out the new clerk didn’t even ask how my stay was or anything I had to tell him how bad it was and he just looked at me with a blank face. I wish they would of gave me a refund for the hassle they put me through. If it was just me I wouldn’t be to upset but I had my 2 daughters with me I can’t have them in unsanitary settings worst place I’ve stayed in awhile was not worth the 140$ I paid
First off, the kids had a blast at the indoor water park. Its in a great location surrounded by Walmart and Target and lots of other places to eat and shop. When we drove up to the property I was put off by the exterior. It looked runned down. We entered through the back entrance because it was close to our room. The security key card reader was broken. In fact, it wasnt attached. Looked like someone ripped it off. The rooms were OK, but the security latch was broken. I did not feel safe. I wiped everything down with Lysol wipes and sprayed the sheets and pillows with Lysol. It did not feel safe or very sanitary. Thankfully, we only stayed one night. I also noticed that duct tape was wrapped around the door arm(?) of one of the front entrances. We parked the car close to the hotel entrance because I didnt feel safe keeping it parked in the back. The hotel is in desperate need of a major overhaul.
Positive: The splash zone was fun. My granddaughter¿s really enjoyed it. Negative: Hotel needs updated. Exit signs hanging, holes in wall. Outdated furniture. Like being in the movie The Shining. If you get room 420, it¿s trippy :). The number is out of sequence and we couldn¿t find the room at first. Had a fun time though. Staff
Positive: The staff was nice and apologized for the condition of the property. Negative: I asked for a hotel with a pool. The pool and water feature were broken and I WAS NOT TOLD AT TIME OF BOOKING!! The door closest to my room was broken and my key card didnt work. The frig was so full of ice - made noise - water was on floor!
Booked online, pics show beautiful outdoor pool. Pool not even being used, trash in pool and its green with algae. Water park needs cleaned, scum on the slides and smells. Whole hotel smells musty. Got a non smoking room, smelled like cigarettes. Trash under beds. Hair On bathroom counter from someone shaving. BED BUG found on pillow at 9:15pm, had to check out and go to another hotel. Only thing offered for breakfast is cereal bars and coffee (asked staff). DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Went to an event at held inside the ballroom here. The bathrooms in the lobby were gross, ceiling tiles falling in, water leaking from the ceiling, none of the soap dispensers worked, none of the towel dispensers work, no hand sanitizer, trash overflowing, stained ceilings in the lobby and ballroom from water damage (potential mold alert), ballroom was scraped and banged up, dark and dated, poorly lit exterior, could tell the hallways needed attention badly (vacuumed, walls wiped down, etc). Floors were warped and i almost tripped a few times. I cant imagine what the rooms are actually like, but the recent reviews paint a pretty solid picture. Its like the owner doesnt care.
Positive: The staff at this hotel is EXCELLENT! They all went above and beyond during my stay. Negative: THE ENTIRE HOTEL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED! The towels (although clean) dirty looking. Only 1 elevator, that was close to my room, worked. They advertise a game room, in which only half of the games were working. I could go on but I ran out of character space..
We found items from previous guests under the bed, the top sheets were staind and comfortors ripped. The room smelled horrible and thankfully I had a concentrated spray on me cuz it almost made myself and the kids puke going in. We came for my daughters 10th birthday and thought it would be a great time because my husband said how he had such a great time before 12 years ago. I think thats the last time there was an update done then cuz literally none of the vending machines worked, theres pieces of the freaking ceiling falling in, and its just been left to rot. We made the best of it but didnt bother to stay long the next day because it was body to body in the hot tub and pools. For almost 200 which is a sale for a king suite that had broken furniture I guess I was expecting a bit more for her big day. Even the two 10 year olds were grossed out and wanted to shower as soon as we got home. BEYOND disappointed.
Awful place . We changed rooms 3 times. Felt like the shinning creepy . Smelled so bad a nd breakfast was a granola bar n water.....Update:::: 10/04/21...Recap:Not understanding why this place is still open ,with all these horrible reviews with dissatisfaction , spent hard earned money and please covid will not be an acceptable excuse...that corporate hasnt responded.... refunded , made adequate accommodations .. in my opinion the website is false advertising,.. again not worth it.. never going back...
Positive: Location, staff was at least nice and honest. Negative: 3 night stay! Have to ask to have room cleaned? False advertising meaning(indoor waterpark)assumed that it comes with a room purchase also everyday.Truth was it was only fri and sat certain times and extra money for pass!Free breakfast(coffee and pastry).
The front desk staff and management were all apologetic and accommodating, so I really hate to give this review, but... this wasnt acceptable. We found a dead mouse in the hotel room...and after the staff was notified and the room was cleaned... the mouse was still there when we returned, fourteen hours later. There are other details/complaints to provide regarding our stay, but since the rodent corpse was the cherry on top, Ill leave it at that.
Paid 200 a night and everything was closed rooms are very dirty and hotel is extremely outdated with water leaks and things falling apart everywhere. Extremely disappointed. Trash bags in hall ways. Lighting in the closet size bathroom is pretty much non existent. Rust and mildew all over the tub. Don’t waste your money an hourly hotel would be more worth it.
For paying 185, it wasnt worth the price. The waterpark was fun, but way too ghetto. The hotel had blood on the wall, cups and socks under the bed from someone else. The ceiling above the shower was rusted. Good time but not at the same time. They really need to practice good housekeeping for sure. Noone wants to sleep in dirty rooms
The hotel is super dumpy. There was piles of garbage in the hallways. The hallways were damaged. The top bed cover was stained so I took it off to find the comforter ripped with yellow stains on it. They replaced both when I asked. The pictures online were nothing compared to reality. Would not recommend this hotel
The service was phenomenal. They were so polite and helpful. The hotel was a bit dated and had some patch work, but the rooms were really comfortable and in good repair. The bed was super comfortable. It was so quiet. It felt like we were the only ones there. The hotel coffee was really good, too. Conveniently located off the highway. Good price. Back door entry to the hotel did not lock at night was the only critism that I can give. Would recommend.
The room was clean, the staff was pleasant. Weve stayed multiple times. We paid nearly the same for the suite as we did for a normal room, so definitely plan ahead and get the suite if you have a family. My kids love the water park. Its definitely geared toward younger kids, although there are two larger slides that are pretty fun. Must be 42 tall to ride those. The arcade is adjacent to the water park. It has about 20 games, many were out of order on our last stay, which was a bummer. The attached restaurant serves great food at very reasonable prices. The free breakfast in the morning is excellent. The building feels like it could use some love (2nd elevator was down, fitness room water machine was broken, other little things), but this is a fun, affordable, family getaway if youre in the Rochester area.
Positive: Nothing, it was dirty and smelled horrible. Negative: It was dirty, unsanitized, not vacuumed, you had to pay $80 just to swim in their pool, the ac was horrible. I switched rooms in hopes for a cleaner one but was left disappointed again. We chose non smoking section however it all smelled like marijuana
Dirty, poor, needs update. Could for sure do some cheap updates to the water park to inrigue the older kids and keep them coming back. Open water park to public so that sucky hotel does not ruin everything you have although very small it is the only indoor water park in the area, but forcing people to stay at that dirty hotel ruins the whole thing.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Everything. This is NOT a three star hotel. The facility is rundown and shoddy. Garbage everywhere. The room looks like it hasn¿t been updated in 25 years. Broken and damaged furniture, lumpy beds, numerous lightbulbs burned out. What a dump!!!
Kids had fun at the water park Rooms dated but nice size I had a suite. Staff was very friendly and took care of anything we needed especially Justin was a big help You could tell once was a Beautiful place but Owner doesnt care, just a money maker for him !!! I would go back again it was all about the kids for me and they had a Really Good Time !!!?
In desperate need for updating. Some places looked new. Example the bathroom counter top was granite. The exhaust fan was hanging from the ceiling, power outlet was loose. carpets are stained, bed creaked and sagged in the center. Pillows look like one was cut in half to make 2 pillows. sheets and blankets have stains. Its a water park also, so the kids may enjoy. The place also looked empty. Lots of competition I think has hurt this business. Sad.
Positive: When you pay $--- dollars for a motel room, you get an outdated hotel. It should be put on the website the pool cost extra to use. Negative: The building needs major updating. The halls smelled like musty, old cigarette smoke. The bathroom had mold growing on the tub and toilet. The toilet seat was broken right where it pinched when sitting on it. A cheap room shouldnt mean a gross moldy room
2 stars because the place needed some bad tlc, trash in front of the building whom noone bothered to pick up, stains everywhere on the bedding, holes punched in our hotel walls, very very run down. Kids screaming all hours of the night. The only good thing was the beds were comfortable. Someone really needs to take care of this establishment
Honestly, this property was filthy and you will not rest at all. From the halls (which smelled of urine) to the room itself (which had so many concerns, I can not list them all here) this was the single worst hotel experience that I have had to date. Trust me on this, you will be better off sleeping in your vehicle.
This place is dirty. Room was not cleaned. There was fecal matter on the toilet seat and sheets on bed were dirty. Staff was nice and got us another room, which was slightly less disgusting, but it smelled like cat pee. Laundry service was not available. Towels are paper thin and old. Trash and overgrown weeds in parking lot. Worst place I have stayed in awhile.
Been to this hotel many times in the past when it was under different ownership and it was great. This was our first time back since it became a Quality Inn and the best thing that could happen to it now is tearing to down! There obviously has been no maintenance and I wouldnt board my dog there these days.
Hotel is old and dated, but our main reason for visiting was for a 3 yr old to use the waterpark, and have a fun overnight trip. For what we paid, it was worth is, she loved the waterpark, our room was ready as we arrived early, everything was clean and in working order, thats all we really required on this stay, so it worked perfectly. All the employees we came in contact with were more than friendly and accommodating! I would not choose this hotel as adults traveling, as again it is badly in need of updating and the pool is not available for just a casual family stay. The hallways smell musty and smokey, quite a turnoff. We left and returned later, there was a group of men hanging around in the side parking lot, another picking through the trash, this made us a bit uneasy! Nice that they offer breakfast, but I can not speak to this as we didnt have time to try it. All in all, great for just smaller children, older ones would get bored quickly but it worked for us, we had a great time!
Positive: Location and price Negative: The outside of the building was covered with garbage, beer bottles and cans, drug needles shoved in bottles, rubber gloves, food. The hallways smelled musty and like cigarette smoke, the rugs were filthy. There were kids running everywhere, unaccompanied
Ugh. Gross. Rm 110 I was told was ur best Suite? Oh my....maybe in 1989 it was ... Broken rusty tub, discoloured ceiling tiles, wallpaper peeling off the walls and when we checked in ? Ur halls smelled of gas ! Never again. Ur place either needs an entire re do / update or just bulldoze and start over.
The hotel is dated and beat. Halls show their age. Room is beat, carpet had holes, bathroom looked like it was falling apart. The bedding was clean but the beds left a lot to be desired. A single bar of WiFi signal was available at our room but we were never able to make a successful connection. Attached water park is also worn and beat. The water was cold and the room was drafty if you weren’t along the back wall. Over priced concessions, and half of the arcade games are out of order completely and the other half don’t dispense tickets as they should. Breakfast was just like any other complimentary breakfast, the French toast sticks are a solid addition. The staff is the only saving grace here, front desk staff were awesome, the attendant in the restaurant busted her butt trying to keep up and the lifeguards at the water park were having a good time with the kids it seemed.
This place is by far disgusting. Cleaning is very poor. First room was covered in mold didn’t even put our bags down. Had them switch us. Second Room, sheet had stains on them and look like they weren’t cleaned in years. When asked for new they said they didn’t have any more. There was a party that have very loud music to the point our view windows were shaking and lasted until 3am. When I called the front desk, they said too bad and there was nothing they would do for us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy!!!!!! 👎🏼🤮🤢
Weirdly, the bed was super-comfortable. The bed gets 5 stars. The water park was shabby, but the kids liked it. No towels, though. The room was worn, not clean, but sheets were clean. The whole place reeked of cigarettes. Worst of all, the lock on the back entrance had clearly been broken for a long time--it must be management policy to have no limits on who can access the building. Yikes!
The water park is not clean. There is debris floating all over in the cloudy water. There is human hair in clumps all over the floors. The rooms were tidy but dirty. Our feet were black with soot after walking on the carpet in our room. My children had fun in water park and the arcade and that was the only thing that made this trip worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. We have stayed in much nicer hotels with indoor water parks. And we will be returning to those hotels in the future.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Normally Id say for the money it is what it is but this place needs to be condemned. Every aspect of the place from the disgusting rooms and hallways to the smells and noises is enough to puke. Moved rooms twice due to unmade stained burned beds, this place needs to be shut down period if you come here after reading this review you deserve every bit of this worst experience in any hotel youve ever had.
This place is nothing like the photos show you online...never was told the pool was out of order i had two 14 year old boys looking forward to using and I paid $189 a night for 2 nights. Couldn’t go to the indoor park it was beyond packed. Outside trash cans overflowing the lobby smelled like a bar in evening. None working security door on side building the key box was disconnected and broke. Our security lock on hotel room door was mismatch and didn’t line up to lock. Called and asked for extra blankets they brought me a mattress protector with blood stains. Our room smelled like one room near us was smoking weed. Extremely outdated hotel i wouldn’t pay more than $60 a night feel like I got ripped off and very disappointed. Employees however deserve a 5 star very nice.
My stay was very pleasant! The employees were very helpful and accommodating! The bed smelled so clean that my clothes smelled like it after I left. Hotel has finished renovations on the lobby since I last stayed and it looks great. I have to leave before most breakfasts are served and the woman at the desk was very helpful and was able to get me some fruit before I left. I love staying here! I have livestock to care for and I’m able to do so from my room every time without issues.
Overall it was a good stay. The hotel has a lot of amenities which is nice. Though it would have been nice if they had told me there was an extra charge for the water park upon check in, the price for it is a bit steep for whats there too. May as well pay an extra $15 and go to Darien Lake. The restaurant was good and the staff there was awesome, I didnt check out the bar as I dont drink however from walking by it looked nice. The room was much bigger than I expected and the beds were pretty comfortable. Rooms could use some updating as theres paint chips, peeling wallpaper, etc. However my biggest problem is that my non smoking room smelled like smoke. I brought this up to 2 separate staff members and neither seemed concerned, in fact one just suggested I brew a pot of coffee to mask the smell (I did but the carafe had old coffee caked at the bottom so I didnt drink it.) Most of the staff was great apart from that and theres a lot to do here. Another issue was the wifi. It was completely useless, I tried connecting on my phone and my tablet and it would work for a few seconds and stop. Very unstable and slow. I would stay here again if I was in the area because the price was right, however Ive stayed in less expensive hotels and had a better experience.
Our stay was not great and not worth what we paid. When we pulled in we thought the hotel was abandoned. The grounds just looked sad and definitely needed more attention. When we walked into the hotel the lobby looked nice but definitely needs something to fill all that space. The guy who checked us in was nice. Once we checked in I asked if the water park was included, since we had just came from Darien lake where they had shut everything down due to the rain, and it wasn’t. When I asked how much it was we were told $13 per person. So we figured we’d go get settled in and then go see if it was worth it (it wasn’t).When we got to our floor the elevator doors opened and it smelled extremely musty. We continued down the hall and it reminded us of a horror movie. Lights were flickering and there was no natural sunlight anywhere. We walked into our room and it looked like we were at a motel. So outdated. There was a dirty towel hanging in our closet and a stained washcloth in the bathroom. There were wrappers under the bed. Barely any lighting in the room. The mirror was crooked, the lampshades were crooked (seems minor but every detail makes the room look messy). We then went down to the water park to see if it was worth $26. It wasn’t. The pool seemed to be down and there were so many people in there. There has to be some sort of capacity rule. The water looked dirty.Went back to our room and the housekeeper was blaring uncensored music and when she made eye contact she just looked back down and continued doing what she was doing. We also noticed none of the emergency doors stayed open? Seems unconventional. We also noticed the second floor ceiling tiles were concave (almost like there had been a leak). Holes in the walls everywhere. The ice machine on our floor didn’t work. The beds were hard as a rock and the pillows felt like they were empty. We brought the dirty towels to the front desk and the woman at the desk did not seem to care at all. The only thing she did was say “sorry” with no empathy. I was a little embarrassed because I guess I was expecting more sympathy? The next morning we went to breakfast and there was not much to chose from especially considering how many guests were in the hotel. Food ran out constantly and people were complaining. We never saw a breakfast attendant once. Someone had to share their breakfast with their 3 small children.I can’t tell you how many times I thought about eating the charge and spending another $180 elsewhere just to have a nicer place to lay my head. I work 65 hours/6 days a week so when I take 1 day off and travel I expect the best and I did not receive that here.
My 2 and 6 year old had a blast at the waterpark and the staff there was amazing! The room was a little dated, the main problems being that it was dark (only two lamps to light all of it) and a small bathroom. Beds were comfortable though and the staff was helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the attached restaurant (hotel provided some coupons to use) and it was good, though I felt the cost wasnt quite up to the quality. You do pay for convenience though! Overall it was a nice stay!
The water park was crowded our first night there but we went on a winter break week. It was much better the next day. This is a great water park for families with younger children (under 12). The suite was very large and spacious. There was a little sink and a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator with small freezer. It was nice having a TV for the kids in the family room area and one for my husband and I. I didnt think the furniture was very clean though. When we first got there, the floor looked very dirty so I asked a housekeeper to vacuum it and she very gladly did. She said that the girl who vacuumed it didnt have a good vacuum. Also, if you plan on using the sofa bed when you are there, check it out early in your stay. My boys couldnt even sleep on it because the springs were pressing up through the mattress and it was very uncomfortable. Fortunately we got the last roll away, so one slept on the couch with a sheet and the other slept on the roll away. Overall it was a good price. If the rug had been clean and the elevators and the sofa bed wasnt so uncomfortable I would give it an excellent rating.
Seems sketchy. I dont dare sleep under the covers. The hallway is rundown I basically had to shove my door open the freezer had ice build up, but wasnt cold, if that makes sense. And the water park was closed due to short staffing!(I dont fault them for that though!!)
It is a complete dump with trash all over the outside and all over the inside. There is black mold on the ceiling tiles in the hall ways and Cigarette butts laying everywhere in the halls. Management was very rude and ignorant. The Batavia quality inn and suites is not a place you want to stay at. I’m beyond frustrated for as much money as it costed me to stay in a dump like this.
Positive: Beds were clean Negative: The place looks like it¿s on the verge of being torn down. Minimal furniture in common spaces, trash on floors, furniture was worn out, carpets and wallpaper were peeling. Very minimal breakfast offerings. This is a 1 star hotel. Quality Inn it was not
Hotel is pretty nice, open and very spacious. Other times weve stayed here weve had nicer rooms but the most recent time our room was not very clean and seemed a little outdated. The popcorn ceiling was coming off, the bathroom was small and hairs were abundant, and the window sill had what looked like a chicken bone with hair in it. We would stay here again, but before we had gotten double beds and this time was a king, so we wouldnt get the king again.
The overall stay was good. Quiet and very big hotel. The rooms are outdated and smell moldy. I would of liked more advertisement on the restaurants in house. That would of been helpful with our stay instead of leaving the hotel to get food. I feel as though the explanation on the water park tickets should be better explained by front desk. I was a bit confused on how it worked. The only let down of our stay was when my daughters toys she won in the arcade were stolen at the water park and no one really seemed to care. It was more of an oh well type thing. Other than that great stay. We might be back!!
All of the workers were kind EXCEPT that the generous tip left for the cleaning person was taken but the room was untouched. We returned to unmade beds, full trashcans, and used towels. The hotel is rundown and kind of gross and feels empty. I actually got lost while looking for the indoor water park (which is good for kids but not very appealing from an adults standpoint) and was wandering around lost behind the scenes for like 10 minutes without a worker in sight to point me back to the right place. On a side note, the continental breakfast is more than continental which was a nice surprise.
There are bed bugs in almost every room! Completely disgusting rooms. Found dirty underwear under one of the beds, toilet would not stop running, also my room smelled horrible. I would never tell anyone to stay at this hotel. One of the front desk lady’s named Joleen helped me out and tried to make my stay better but the rooms were just terrible. Service was pretty good and the food was also pretty good just could have been warmer. Manger was completely rude and didn’t care about a thing. I’ll never stay here again!
Dont get fooled by the web site. Stayed one night over a school break and thought the water park would be great for the kids. I was very wrong. Everything about this place was dirty. Bed covers and comforter had so many stains we requested they be replaced. There was silly string on the ceiling from a previous guest. The cover to combined AC/Heat unit fell off when my youngest touched it. None of the exterior doors to the building had working locks that I found. The water park was run down, and the water was cold. We discussed cutting our losses and going home. In the end, we stayed the night and checked out by 6:30 am. Beware!!
The staff were very polite and did the best they could however that does not make this hotel worth staying at. By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Be prepared to clean your own room when you check in, and that was not even the worst of my stay. There was an extremely intoxicated crowd of people wondering the halls and stairwells all day and all night. They were smoking cigarettes and pot everywhere including the elevators. There was vomit in the stairwell and in the hallway, Compliments of a drunk idiot. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT bring your children here. I will never stay at a quality inn again.
The hotel has gone downhill. Didnt see the water park but there was nothing in the lobby and it used to be decorated so nicely. It used to be inviting. Now it looks like a crack head owns it. I didnt stay. Just delivered to a family who appeared to be living there. Scary.
Big stain on the couch that didnt come clean. Bar of used soap in the shower. Extra charges to use the indoor water park which i did not see the signs for at the main desk. Was just told that it was 13 dollars to use. Which I thought would of been included with my stay. The resturant was great. The service was great. The food was good. Not badly priced. My biggest complaint is the cleaning of the rooms need to be done to a higher standard.
My job is especially busy during the spring so I can not do a spring Break vacation with my kids. This year we opted for an overnight weekend stay here to start off their spring break since it is only an hour away from us. The kids had a blast! They got the thrill of being away from home with the added benefit of a water park. My kids are 4,6 & 8 and the waterpark was perfect for them. With the Hot Tub and 2 larger slides my husband and I had just enough for us to do as well. After about 2 1/2 to 3 hours the kids were worn out and we just had to walk down the hall to our room. The restaurant in the hotel was very reasonable and my family of 5 could eat for under $50 for dinner. The food was great too. My husband had a steak and it was one of the best. The Easter Sunday breakfast buffet was a little bit higher priced than I would like but there was a good variety of food and it tasted great. The pet fee was only $20 a night and no restrictions on size (great for us as our dog is 65 lbs) much cheaper than boarding our dog and the kids loved having her on vacation with us. We will definitely come here again.
Nice...pretty clean..no one bother u... I Liked it over experiance... 8/10.... No hot breakfast...Has smoking rooms...and beautiful suites...restaurant is still closed...Has a Nice arcade...Atm is broken...but has a Nice water park...the family atmosphere....10/10... Down the road from the casino...Next too Five Guys...Targets...Marshals...5 and below...Khols..Pizza hut..Star bucks...and Wal-Mart..U would love it here!! Id Recommend Definitely⛲🎰🏖🚬💵💰🍀
Terrible acoustics ***Great Service***I’ve got a king suite tonight with 2 inside doors, not sure if it’s the reason, but I can hear a whole family children and all, TV blasting...I’m likely to not get much sleep tonight. The room is pretty beat up, the bathroom on a whole needs to be renovated as there is a hole in the door, cracks in the tiles, and a grid ceiling...really? Outlets are in bad places, there’s only 1 lamp with 2 plugs and it’s on the “office desk.”I’ve upgraded my 2 Star rating to a 4 star rating because shortly after writing this review for 2 stars with the above paragraph, I was called by the front desk manager and asked if I wanted my room changed. I said, “No, if I wanted that I would have asked for it already, plus I’m all unpacked.” And I was trying to fall asleep. I had turned on the heater and air conditioner to varying temperatures to block out the noise from the other side. The manager asked if they would like me to say something next door and I said, “Look, I understand a family is on the other side probably trying to enjoy their vacation time, I don’t want to ruin that, but yes, if you can that would be nice so I can sleep.” And about an hour or so later, problem solved. Not only that, but I slept well, and the shower was nice and hot and cleansing. This hotel has issues, but some great water pressure and room temperature satisfaction. Also, the manager contacted me because they saw this review-literally 5 minutes after it was posted! That’s impressive and I’ve never been to a hotel with service like that.It still needs renovations and something to fix the acoustics (especially this room), but the service is worth 5 stars. Good job Quality Inn Batavia.
My 3 and 5 year old enjoyed themselves immensely!! Loved that we could bring our dog along (for a small fee). Our room was satisfactory although the bathroom could have benefited from an update. Water park was smaller than others I have been too but seemed perfect for my kids! Food was decent and the vouchers almost totally paid for 5 of us to have dinner and breakfast. Good value! Great getaway close to our home. We will be back.
We booked the hotel because it was very cheap price. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. We just needed a place to lay our heads after a concert and this hotel was perfect. The staff was so friendly and recommended an excellent food delivery place that was open late. The next morning the staff was very helpful when we wanted to take food back to our room from continental breakfast. Would stay here again with the kids and enjoy the indoor waterpark.
The water park are was Nice. The hot tub could actually be a bit warmer. But considering it was over taken by children during our stay we didnt have a chance to enjoy it much. One of the three rooms we rented had an extremely heavy smoking odor even though it was a non-smoking room and the spray that housekeeping provided did very little to cover the odor. The rooms that we had were all in need of updating. Sitting on the sofa and chair in the suite made you feel like you were sitting on the floor they sank in so low. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was great and included with our stay. Dinner left a lot to be desired. The all tou could eat pasta was just noodles with sauce dumped on them, very bland and we definitely did not want more. Considering we spent $175 on dinner I expected much better for the food. The server was great, food not so much.
I booked 2 rooms for the Kids New Years Eve Event....1 a suite and 1 a deluxe room. We had 6 adults and 4 kids in our party. What a great time we had! From the moment we checked in until we departed...it was a pleasant experience. The kids had a great time at the waterpark, the craft area, the scavenger hunt but most of all the characters and the DJ. There was a great hot chocolate bar that was enjoyed by all!!!! It was a memorable night for all! The buffet was excellent and the food was plentiful. They were truly worn out by the end of the evening (Grandkids are 2, 3, 5 and 6) What impressed me the most was the helpfulness of the staff and the way they cared for the people. The hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays and put you in the spirit. The rooms were also very nice. The weather was bad and they were even very considerate to make checkout later because they worried about the safety of the people. Keep up the good work and the excellent customer service.
Disappointed. We had a great time here last year with another family so we tried to replicate this year. We called a day in advance and were ensured rooms were adjoining so we did not make arrangements that we otherwise would have had they not stated we were all set (kid monitor, etc for when little ones started to turn in for the night). Kids are very disappointed. Receptionist not especially nice about it. If they cant guarantee it then they ought to be trained as such when we call the day before, and regardless they could have been nicer. Strange that a hotel that seems like a wasteland in our hallway at 4pm cant possibly find another arrangement for a night.
Will never go here again. First room were were provided had dirty sheets(king) . Second room (2 doubles) had one bed with dirty sheets... Second had marker all over the comforter. This was a non smoking hotel... Of which nobody apparently cared. Marijuana smell on every floor. Cigarette butts hiding in the corners of the hallway. Yellow stains on dry towels and wash towels. Rust in shower. And internet was slow as molasses! We complained to Priceline and they compd us another 33%.
Looks much better outside than inside. Room was decent and clean, but like most of the hotel, it could use an update. The sprinklers sticking out in the room and popcorn ceiling spoke to the age. The hallway, particularly 3rd floor, was very dim. Had a sort of horror film vibe to it. Updating the fixtures would solve that. Staff in the check-in/check-out area were friendly. In the breakfast area they seemed disinterested. Breakfast was rather sparse even for a basic continental breakfast. Had to get a cup from near the middle of the stack as the other ones looked as if someone used them and put them back on the stack. Wi-fi was lacking. Likely due to size of hotel and router locations. The lack of a charging port in the room was inconvenient.
Property is extremely out of date and in some cases falling apart. The overhang on the counter top in our bathroom was falling off, there were holes in the walls, hallways were stained and gross, room smelled terrible. Went to shower the morning of checkout to find the shower/tub had not been cleaned well, which it was too late at that point to have housekeeping come up and fix. I understand that the property is going to be renovated, however that does not change the fact that there were some things that couldve easily temporarily remedied. Staff wasnt terrible to interact with, however never smiled and the front desk were not knowledgeable on the water park. I asked several questions at check-in and when i went to get my tickets for the water park, was told that the front desk didnt know what they were talking about. Basketball hoop had been ripped off the backboard in the water park, outdoor pool was closed despite the fact that it was 80 and sunny out. Overall Im extremely disappointed in the property.
There were a few things that went wrong, heating was broken, check in was complicated and misunderstandings happened but the staff figured it out. The cleanliness of the water park itself was decent. Vents were dusty though. The water park itself was fun and my daughter enjoyed herself fully. Shes 7. I wouldnt bring a child much older than about 12 though. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the park as well in the pool, sauna and outside slide. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping was kind. We loved our room overlooking the park, we could watch the kids when we werent in it and see how the park worked. Overall it was a good stay for the money and a good getaway weekend.
Very bad experience. Arrived at 6pm to be told couldnt use water park because closed at 7p. Only reason we booked this hotel. state restaurant on site, wasnt open. Ceilings in bathroom all rust, holes in walls of room. Ceiling flaking off. Stated breakfast served, all there was wre bananas and couple danishes
This is a very clean, friendly staffed hotel. The lobby entrance looks great, giving a welcoming feeling upon arrival. The staff is friendly & did their best to get us to our room quickly. The water park is somewhat small but my kids sure didnt seem to mind; they had a great time on the water slides, the hot tub & playing in the area with the basketball hoop, overall its a great family experience. The only trouble we ran into was with the housekeeping staff as we left our room around 1030am & returned twice to our trash not being emptied (which is really all I wanted) but only for about thirty minutes that day. I had to call the front desk three times to get anything accomplished; on the plus side the staff was friendly when they finally did arrive. It was a great stay, great experience, communication between the front desk & housekeeping just needs some work.
We stayed here because we were attending a function that was being held at this hotel. It was conveniently located right off I-90. Plenty of parking and very friendly check in staff. The hotel is dated and really needs a good make over. The banquet room was very nice. The hallways are dark and the walls are very thin, which leads to the rooms being very noisy. You can hear your neighbors talking. The water park is small and it was packed with lots of families. After a 4 hour ride we were a little disappointed that the lounge did not open till 430. The bartender was not friendly and everything was served in plastic cups. The banquet food was good, not fantastic but good enough. The bar tender in the banquet room was very friendly and fun. With some updating this would be a very nice hotel.
Great place for kids, just wish the water park was open a little later. The rooms were comfortable, but could use a few updates. Very spacious rooms though! The Oasis restaurant in the hotel wasnt a very good experience for dinner. We waited almost 30 minutes for a server to even take our drink orders. Then another 20 minutes before we received our meals. The breakfast buffet however, was great!!
The hotel was easy to get to. The exterior appearance was good. The check-in process was smooth and the desk clerk offered advice as to the most convenient parking and entrance to use. The interior corridors were a tad bit dark and a bit dated, but were clean and well marked. We easily found our room and settled in. The room again was a bit dated but it was clean and well furnished. A few convenience AC outlets for todays modern electronic devices would have been useful. The bed was comfortable and clear reception with plenty of channels were available on the in room flat screen TV. The bath was well stocked and water temperature and pressure were good. We found this hotel to be a better than average place to stay and we will stay here again when visiting this area.
The water park is incredible! Our children are 3, 5, and 7, and it was perfect for them. It was very easy to overlook the lack of luxury in the hotel room when you focused on all that the water park had to offer. The pricing of the packages is great. We recommend taking advantage of the extra hours you are able to squeeze in at the water park before and after check-in and check-out. We did not eat at the restaurant, but the specials presented at the time of check-in appeared quite reasonable. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends, and one has already booked her visit for this week! Its a perfect weekend getaway for families with young children.
The staff was extremely helpful. The room was nice, spacious and clean. I loved the pressure of the shower. I was there for a business trip but my mother and daughter tagged along. They had a good time but we were sad that the Water park was just open on our departure date so they didnt get but only a few hour to play. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back.
Good place for younger kids to splash around for a few hours especially during winter when outdoor parks are not available. Similar to what would be a kids splash zone at a larger theme park. Has a hot tub area and just a couple of moderately larger slides. Would not recommend for a major excursion but okay for a few-hour getaway. Again, emphasis on younger kids. Not quite enough here for teenagers. Friendly and adequate staff, was clean.
Clean, friendly service, saw cleaning staff everywhere throughout the weekend, food was very good and the price was so inexpensive! There was a train show going on in the lobby that day, which seemed like fun. We were able to check in a bit early, which was perfect because our grandchildren were ready to swim and we could get situated in our room before we went down to the pool. Rooms were clean, updated, large enough to move around and all decor looked new.
Stayed for one night so far, and I’m not pleased. Hotel smells like cigarettes. Our beds were clean and comfy, but the room itself needs serious updating. The heater is very loud and kept me up all night. Hoping that the kids will enjoy the water park tomorrow. Very disappointed ☹️
We were looking forward to spending some family time together but then we couldn’t wait to leave! The young lady was pleasant, but really nothing beyond that was welcoming. Signs said to have patience during their updating, but I have a feeling those signs are permanent. I couldn’t believe it when the receptionist stated they have no queen beds in the hotel! The beds were horrible. We gave breakfast an honest try but gave up and went elsewhere. On the positive side, the TV worked well and there was a nice breakfast area with a fridge and microwave. The shower was hot but made a loud noise that sounded like screeching tires. I wish we would’ve stayed at the 2.5 star down the street.
From reserving our room online, to check-in to check-out everything went smoothly & quickly. The staff was very help and had lots of suggestions on things to do. They were very helpful. The room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our girls enjoyed the waterpark and it was a great trade off for trick or treating. We enjoyed our visit so much that on the way home the girls asked if we could come again for Christmas break!! Looks like a new family favorite:)
Overall the hotel/water park was a great deal for my family. Our kids were 1.5, 3, 4, and 18 years old. Everyone enjoyed the water park although my 18 year old enjoyed it the least. The bathrooms by the water park could have used a little more attention but they werent too bad. As for the hotel staff, they were excellent the whole time. Our room had a few problems, the bathroom sink drained slow and the ceiling fan was loose. The overall size of the bathroom was tiny considering we had 4 kids and 2 adults. The dinner buffet was a huge rip off, dont waste your money there. Besides those problems, the hotel was clean and the staff were quick to meet our requests.
Everything was broken, dirty and damaged. The service was terrible. The restaurant was terrible. The rooms in the non smoking smelled like smoke. There were cigarette butts on the floor of the changing room at the pool area. I was not pleased with the holes in our comforters in our room, the crumbs on the floor, missing tissues and towels. The air vent was extremely loud and off putting, which scared our children. There were people in the hall ways blasting music all hours of the night, everyone seemed to be partying. The elevators were rickety and very dirty. There was never enough towels at the pool area. The restaurant servers were very rude and we waiting 45 minutes for our drinks after waiting 20 minutes to be seated while the servers disputed about personal things right in front of us. The food could have been better. The buffet was actually just spaghetti and meat balls. The dessert buffet was actually just brownies, the breakfast was just french toast sticks and french fries. I would never stay over night again. The pool area was decent, besides the hair clumps in one of the areas floating around. there were tons of children running around getting hurt due to lack of supervision. The vending machines were not stocked and the ice machines were broken on every floor except the 2nd, which meant we had to travel down 2 floors in the middle of the night for ice when it was needed. Our fridge in our room did not work and the coffee maker was full of dirt and dander.
Pros: The check in lady was super pleasant and helpful. Went out of her way to find me some tape to wrap my broken toes. Same is true of the lady running the breakfast. Very attentive and kind. Breakfast was great. Cons: Right off the bat the elevator door was sticking and refused to close until I got off and then it sent my kids up without me. In our room there was at least a quarter inch of dust on everything, sticky stuff still on the night stand, a bottle of Jack Daniels on the floor near the window, stains on the gold coverings of the bed, one comforter had several burns wholes in it (the bed was comfy and the sheets and mattress appeared new/clean- no bed bugs). Always a big no-no is to leave a shower with someone elses hair on the wall. Truly disgusting. Shower pressure was good, but for the first time ever at a hotel the temperature of the water fluctuated the entire shower; not that is couldnt handle it but could be risky for a younger child. Over all the experience was not terrible but I will likely not book with them again when I can spend $10 more a night and have a cleaner experience.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite. We had 4 children and 2 adults and were very comfortable. We purchased the package with the water park, plus 25.00 breakfast coupon. The room was a little dated but clean. The wifi worked well. All the staff were very nice and polite. We had breakfast and used our coupon and it still came to $30.00. The breakfast was good but should be included. All in all was a good hotel for the $
Stayed here many times before when it was the Clarion. Not sure when it changed to Quality Inn, but it seems like there has been no maintenance in recent times. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke horribly. The carpet was ripped up in places, gouges in the walls and doors, bathroom fan nearly falling out of the ceiling. Took pictures in case I was blamed for damage. The front desk did offer to change our room when I called about the smell, but we got in just before midnight and my 12 year old fell right asleep on the bed. It wasnt worth it to get her up, get a new key from the front desk and find yet another room that may have the same problems. The free breakfast was good. We came in at the end, so it was probably better early on when everything was first put out. We stayed for an hour at the water park before continuing on our journey and the front desk gave us an extra hour for check out.
The hotel is outdated and needs renovations. When entering our first room, we found it open. After inspecting it, we found out that the door could not shut completely. After switching rooms, the hallway was filled with trash that smelled the area, including a random vaccum in the far back. Entering the room, it was very dirty. The bathroom was missing some tiles and the water didnt flow down the drain smoothly. The tank cover didnt fit the toilet completely and it wasnt the proper size. The walls are very thin which means you can hear a lot from others around.
My kids are 4 and 1.5 years old. We did an overnight at the hotel, but only were able to last 1.5 hrs the first day and 1 hour the next day. The waterpark is small (only 2 slides for kids and 2 slides for anyone over 42 inches). My kids got very bored. The basketball area was mobbed and unsafe for my little ones. The hot tub was nice but we didnt last long, too much chlorine. The waterpark felt very clean, which was a plus. However, the room was very gross. We HAD to stay at the hotel to enjoy the waterpark, but I DO NOT recommend the hotel. It felt old and dirty. There were nicks and scratches, ripped carpeting in the corners, etc. Our coffee maker was full of mold, so beware. We had no refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or shower curtain upon arrival and had to call twice to have those items replaced (which delayed our entrance to the waterpark). Our friends found their room to be fine, but we did not have luck. BEWARE!!!
My family decided to take a one night getaway to somewhere close to have some fun. We found the Clarion Waterpark and thought we’d give it a try. While we didn’t expect perfection, we at least expected clean. We were extremely disappointed with the state of the rooms ( we had to switch from the first one due to a stained couch that I refused to sit on, stained walls and a broken bathroom door). The second room was just barely acceptable. When we pointed out that someone’s dog had taken a crap in the lobby in two different places, it was at least an hour before it got cleaned up. That it was eventually removed was the only indication that there even was anyone there to clean. The entire place appeared to be run by teenagers. It wasn’t until we checked out that I saw anyone who was clearly over 21.We will not be returning.
Do not stay here, there is an amazing hotel, holiday inn right down the road you should consider instead. It is very outdated, there are random holes in the walls, it smells everywhere you go, there was dirty towels in our room when we brought it to the front desks attention they were not apologetic at all. The housekeepers were very loud, playing music without headphones. Breakfast sucked not a huge selection and the food kept running out, I never saw the attendant refilling but there were multiple times there was a crowd of people waiting around because there was no food. There was trash underneath the beds.
Luckily we only stayed one night, if it wasnt for disappointing the kids I would have left upon seeing the room. It was dusty both beds had dirty comforters. I requested a vacuum which really only blew dust around. Water slides had stained yellow, just bot a clean well kept hotel.
I forgot to add beds are dirty. Beds were lopsided . Staff inattentive. Smells through out weed and cigarettes. When you have to sleep with clothes on it’s bad. Looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a long long time. Furniture pillows are crushed with but prints and staples coming out stuffing coming out.
I will bring my grandchildren to this hotel again to experience the water park. Our bathroom was not dirty, however it was not sparkly clean as I would have wished. (tub floor and surround corners had a bit of yuck). There were signs on the main desk that there were renovations going on, and our room was a bit tired with mismatched furniture and picture hanger holes in the walls patched with one in squares of wall paper and repairs in the bathroom. Breakfast was the usual for a hotel and other than my Granddaughter wishing for a waffle maker, good. The water park staff were wonderful, taking time to make sure the Grands have a good time. The cost of the hotel without the water park was a good value and that in addition to the fun of the the water park will lure us back in the dead of Western New York winter again next year, Im sure.
No time for an extensive review, but I had stayed here many times - it was never a 4 star luxury hotel, of course, but this year was a low point. Some musty smell in the bathroom. Hate showers that have no telephone nozzle sprayer the huge heads that stick out of the wall are never useful - see Japan hotels for shower heads. The commode - fine if you are a small 6 year old. Terrible if you happen to be an adult of average height, too much girth, and age where squatting is a long-forgotten art form. The bed was not made by 1:00 PM, I had taken the do not disturb sign off - called the desk and they assured me it would be made. I returned at 11:00 PM and the bathroom still had the used towels - nothing done. They did give me a $45 credit when I checked out. The internet was dead gerbil driven. Absolutely the worst - most frustrating of many experiences. Pre-1935 on a good day. The whole hotel is dingy and the water park feature may be fine for families not staying there, but for folks like me, fix it all or find another place.
Staff is accomodating and friendly. Water park is fun for you little ones. The rooms are a bit more update from previous visits. However, cleanliness is still lacking. We found toy and crumbs under bed from previous guests. Bathroom sink had toothpaste from previous guests. Only a few lights in the room ans one did not work. The sheets did not fit the bed and revealed a stained mattress.

2022-04-08No Hot Breakfast! It is old and stale crunch bars and Raisin Snails, coffee watered down, no lids for the cups.Beds are comfortable, water pressure is amazing! Coffee maker in room, microwave as well. Tried coffee maker and water came out yellow. Blankets are like sheets, pillows are the size for a couch. The hallways smell like mold, trash in the hallway overnight and still not picked up in the morning. You do not see any one cleaning the rooms. No masks being worn, nor are they offered for the guest. The price of the stay was very inexpensive which is good. They do accept animals and have smoking rooms. I would stay again here but, prepared to go out for breakfast instead.

2022-06-26This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The hotel was dirty. There were burn holes and rips in the comforter. There were stains on the sheets. The microwave stand looked like it been submerged in water for months. They almost tried to charge extra for the water park...which was a joke. The outdoor pool looked like a swamp and was not usable. I would not stay here again.

2022-02-06Filthy, run down and trashy (literally and figuratively). Everywhere you looked drywall was crumbling, wallpaper was peeling off, paint was chipped and/or cracked, floors were either old and tattered or newer and filthy. Our room was about 50° when we walked in. Normally fine and understandable given the time of year and to save energy. However, it took over an hour to warm up and the unit sounded like a commercial jet was taking off outside our window. Our sinks hot water did not work, the toilet seat was disconnected and, we didnt need it but, there was about a 1/4 roll of toilet paper with no replacement. We had family stay in a connecting room with similar complaints. Their heater never stopped running (even with auto set on) making it constantly hot and noisy and their toilet seat was disconnected as well. As for the water park, having never been there, I went in with an open mind but was just as disappointed as with the hotel. The water looked dirty, the pools light had some sort of cord or wiring hanging out of it (Unknown what it was but was definitely under water) and the life guards seemed like they couldnt care less what was going on around them. There was an individual that was sitting in the hot tub that was clearly intoxed or high to the point he was almost passing out in the water and definitely making people feel uncomfortable. The 18 and 60+ year old life guards did nothing about it.Bottom line Ive been to run down motels in the middle of crime ridden cities that I would visit again before going back here. The only reason the score was a single star was because they put a roof over my head in the middle of winter.

2022-05-02Like everyone else says, this place is in serious need of renovation. The hallways reeked of mildew and everything smelled mildly smokey. Honestly, they should just rip out the carpeting, given the high humidity from the water park. Tile would be a thousand times cleaner. The comforters on the bed were also visibly stained in multiple places, but the mattresses and pillows were excellent and comfortable. The breakfast is largely non-existent, heavy on generic store fruit bars, and no real area to sit and eat anyway. That said, my daughter adored the water park.

2022-06-20Good:The owner was so nice to us. Room was good enough. Take what you want breakfast snacks were ok. Bed was super comfy. Hot tub area of waterpark was good. Location great, beside the mall and walk to pubs.Bad:Non smoking room still smells of its past life. (Bring some cologne to spray). Outdoor pool closed, needs upgrade. Hotel seems too big with nothing in it, weird. On-site pub bartender wouldnt get me change to play pool table.Id stay again just because of the hospitality.

2022-02-01BEWARE!!!! Absolutely horrendous disgusting hotel, no doubt worst we have ever stayed in. Trash and food on floors throughout the building. In order to go to the waterpark you must book a room now, just to get people to stay here. Hotel is in extreme disrepair, damage throughout building, trash, just disgusting conditions everywhere. Staff playing on cell phones with feet up not a care in the world. Rusty faucets and black mold in shower. Open outlets and wiring in areas. Beds Were covered in hair and garbage under beds. Rooms do not appear to be cleaned, vacuumed, or bed sheets changed at all. Wish we read the other reviews prior to staying here..

2022-02-04WARNING!! This place is absolutely disgusting and not safe for anyone let alone children. The tiny pool and cold dirty water is not worth even $15 a day but of course they charge more yet choose to do no upgrading let alone even basic cleaning . They now require you to stay in a room for $200 a night but it comes with 4 passes . The hotel is so nasty there are holes and trash in the hall and looks like something out of a horror movie. I also left with a skin fungal infection from using their towels after a shower and after the water park which I have never had in my entire life. The staff are very trashy, unprofessional, carefree, and straight scary . I didn’t feel safe with my children there at all. You’d think with it being 2022 they’d be able to at least read google reviews. They should be embarrassed to even call themselves a hotel. It’s more like a crack house. It’s not worth a dime.

2022-04-29The rooms were absolutely disgusting.Smelled like cigarettes.Old moldy coffee left in pot.Toilet seat broken.Hair in the shower.Old razor left in bathroom.Curtains broken. The sheets were so stained and dirty we went to Target to buy sheets (and cleaner and air freshener). We stayed for the kids to enjoy the water park. They did, but that was another mess. Kids completely out of control and the parents do nothing and the lifeguards tried as beat they could but it was a mess. Both kids had huge scrapes on their knees from the rough floor in the waterpark and the metal cords they have holding netting.

2022-05-12Honestly gave this place a shot and not great..... asked for a non smoking room this room has clearly been smoken in, burn stains and smells like old stale smoke. Beds and pillows were eh okay and thats about it. Im a truck truck driver and need my sleep but with them being so close to the highway the noise woke me up a bunch of times. And their pool isnt even open during the week days I was hoping to get some exercise. And dont get me started on breakfast..... are you kidding me. Stale Donuts, instant oatmeal and generic cereal bars and coffee is all they offered. No milk, no juice, no nothing nothing healthy or diabetic friendly, no fresh fruit. Very disappointing, the site said free breakfast, what breakfast? You cant call that breakfast.
