We have been at River Tides for almost 8 months and are having an extremely enjoyable experience living here. We’ve lived in other luxury buildings in Westchester & honestly River Tides is above them all. Nilda, the property manager makes sure the building is kept very clean, maintained, and safe. From when you walk in the door Marcus and his concierge staff/maintenance/housekeeping, and the leasing office all greet you with professionalism, and go out of their way to help and feel welcome. The building is always being cleaned, and whenever Ive called the office to address something, it is promptly taken care of. Management is taking extra precautions during this time to keep the building sanitized. and has made sure to communicate that everyone must wear a mask in common areas. There are hand sanitizers/wipes all over the building. The NYS Mandate regarding masks are posted all over the building/entrances/elevators/doors/etc. River Tides go above and beyond to keep their residents safe. River Tides is an exceptional place to live, and it’s like coming home to a 5 star resort every day & the views of the Hudson are phenomenal. No wonder it has been voted Westchester’s Best Luxury Rental for 2020!
River Tides at Greystone is truly an exceptional place to live. My wife and I have been here for two years, and could not be happier. The units are really beautiful, construction safe and solid, and ameneties outstanding. The management and staff work very hard to create a sense of community, and during COVID have taken every reasonable step to protect us all. Masks are required in all indoor public spaces, and the wearing of masks is emphasized in frequent communications and signage throughout the building. The pool was opened slowly and carefully, in full accordance with guidance, and rules have been enforced. Hand sanitizer dispensers are in hallways, common spaces are cleaned regularly, and management is very receptive to any concerns. Finally, it is the people who make the property. Nilda, Alyssa, and Danielle in the front office; Marcus, Ashley, and other concierges; Nate and his team in facilities; they all do a truly exceptional job to keep everyone happy.I am grateful to live here!
River Tides is not what it used to be. I read a recent poor review on July tenth and the reply from RIVER TIDES. First, I love their maintenance and house keeping team. They do a great job with what they are given. However, during Covid management has fallen short. As a medical professional it is unacceptable that they have NOT made people wear masks in common areas. And when I complained TWICE, I was given the same excuses, attitude and tone in their negative review responses here. I have lived in apartments for the past 11 years. River Tides and GDC are on the bottom of my list. Westchester Magazine should come interview the residence of River Tides presently. None of my neighbors are happy.
I’m a current resident here at River Tides and my experience has been absolutely amazing. The staff is literally some of the best staff an apartment building can have. Everyone is so helpful, personalable, and considerate. The building is well kept. The atmosphere is diverse and very cool. I truly love this building.
Picture yourself at River Tides...it would look a little something like this: screaming, unruly and unsupervised children running around the lounge, broken coffee machines that havent yet to be fixed (6 weeks and counting), disheveled and unprofessional front desk workers who are constantly turning over, broken BBQ grilling stations, trash lining the hallways on a regular basis, blaring, emergency alarms going off and rudely awakening you at 3am in the morning (with no explanation from building management!)... are just a handful of issues that would be thrown in your face if you move here. But you dont have to take my word for it (even though Ive been living here for some time now); I urge anyone who is considering this place to try to speak to some residents here for first hand, candid feedback. Unfortunately, some of these highly rated, 5-star reviews were falsely created to offset the more accurate, bad reviews by real renters at this place. If you move here, be prepared to be aggravated by their lack of management, building upkeep, and cleanliness.
We absolutely love living at River Tides! Everyone here is very nice, attentive and helpful as others have mentioned. We did have some issues with our AC unit leaking water in the summer (not one place is perfect); however Laura and team were very helpful and addressed our concerns/issues in a very timely manner. Keep up the great work!
I moved about 6 weeks ago. This is very nice apt building ,with very helpful and hard working staff. They are always helpful and do it with a smile. I am very happy with my move and look forward to having wonderful time .Laura is a great role model and Skyler who worked with me is very patient and always willing to help. Nate helped when I moved in. At the front desk they go out of their way to help and greet every one with a smile.
This review is limited to the some of the egregious behavior that goes on at the buildings amenities, not the apartments. The outdoor pool has very clear rules, no smocking, no alcohol, no glass containers, and a two guest limit per apartment. However, apparently the rules don’t apply to those willing to throw around hush money. As observed during the first open-pool weekend at 3 pm, while a many children and families present, a tenant broke all the rules and announced to all present that giving the front desk folks $20 tips regularly allows for this. The tenant brought five adult guests, who preceded to smoke weed at the pool, while drinking vodka from a large glass bottle on full display. They didn’t even bother to hide it, as they say across from the lifeguard! At some point one of the residents must have complained, because the front desk person came down. However after a few words with the lifeguard, they just left without saying anything. As if feeling all attention is on them, the tenant loudly asked the lifeguard if there is a problem, to which she replied “no”. He than proudly announced “that’s because I tip them all the time”. He then assured the lifeguard that she too will be compensated and left some money for her on their side table like a tip at the bar! This type of behavior is, IMHO, is the most disgusting tolerance of braking the rules. I don’t fault the tenant, he is simply deploying whatever he’s got to have a good time, but the staff letting him get away with that while the place is stuffed with kids and families obeying all of the rules, that is what’s so bothersome. This is the type of behavior that quickly becomes toxic and makes one want to move. You either enforce the rules on all, or you have disorder. Either way, it’s pretty disgusting that for $20 worth of a tip, you have a bunch of adults getting high and drunk at the family pool at 3 in the afternoon, with the building staff turning a blind eye!
We moved in about a week ago so far so good. It’s so beautiful, it really feels like your living in a hotel.People here have been so nice since we started the application. Christine Fowler from the leasing office went above and beyond to help us. Being that our credit was not the greatest. I would defientely recommend that you ask for Christine from the leasing office when applying for Rivertide. We were the the first people to move to the south building as a result there are about 2 to three items that needs to be fixed but the management and supervisor Nate and Laura have been really helpful, thus far.
My experience has been truly and exceptionally amazing!!!! When I stepped into this spa, it felt like no other! To be completely honest, it was better than most hotel spas! Ive been to the Hilton, the Borgata, the Marriott, and others and none can compare with how welcoming and homely this spa was! The manager, Renee, was amazing! She did an exceptional job at making me feel so relaxed and was truly attentive to me as a guest. She treated me as if I was family instead of a just an everyday client. That! THAT is what will keep me coming back!Renee, introduced me to whole I believe is a TOP THERAPIST there and her name is Jessica! My goodness! She is absolutely AMAZING! I explained to her all the pain and knots and muscle tensions that I had and she even found even more areas that I didnt even know existed! Truly an exceptional licensed massage specialist! It was an hour service but I felt like I was in HEAVEN! PURE BLISS!!! I will definitely be coming back and I will definitely be coming back to see Jessica!!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!!! if you want exceptional service, go see Renee and Jessica!!!!
I recently moved into the Rivertides building and I love it here. The one concern I have, that has been shared with me by several neighbors, is that there seem to be many outsiders using our amenities. I am not sure why this is being tolerated by the management. Both the pool and bbq areas are frequently crowded by large groups that do not appear to live in the building. As residents, we are limited to the number of guests we are allowed at any given time. This needs to be enforced by management in order to ensure the peaceful environment for all residents in the building.
Treat the resident like children, The club room has a wide screen TV mounted on the wall for resident use. The remote is kept at the concierge desk with this note on it “do not give to residents” If you want to change the channel or adjust the volume, the concierge must do it, or they may let you have it for 5 minutes with the directions to bring it back. If you don’t bring it back in 6 minutes they will leave their station to retrieve it. There is no history of lost remotes. Upstairs in the gym there are 2 of the same remotes that are left in holders with a coiled wire to prevent misplacement and there have been no problems. There are cameras always recording in all areas of the building. The management will watch the recorded video from the weekends and nitpick people who used the common area and didn’t leave it spotless. The cleaning staff is only brought in Monday to Saturday and Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening is the prime time for common areas, yet no building staff is brought in on Sundays or Holidays. Only the concierge is on duty. Trash receptacles are overflowing, no paper products in bathrooms. Coffee machine is out of service, out of cups since it needs servicing 3 or 4 times a day, we pay mandatory amenity fee’s for these services.Charge monthly pet fee’s but do not hire staff to maintain the areas. The building charges $60 per pet per month plus a non-refundable $500 pet fee. They collect fees and not use them for maintenance.
I expected way more from Martin Ginsberg, owner of GDC Realty, who manages River Tides Yonkers, and who said to Westchester Magazine, We are always concerned about helping the local community. In the midst of COVID, when other rental buildings are freezing rents and being flexible, they impose a 3% increase on rents and a 15% penalty if you need to stay an extra month or two to accommodate COVID related moving delays. Shame on him and the company who show no humanity or caring, and are only concerned with the bottom line. This from a man who already has so much. And, the building is NOT maintained well - dirty, poor management, poor communication. Tsk, tsk ...
At first when we signed our lease we were super excited. The building is brand new, has a gym and a pool .. a spa ! what more can you ask? we soon learned that these amenities were too good to be true. The spa has confusing/ crazy hours. ( ex 5-9)?? Which is inconvienent for most schedules. Recently we just started going down to the pool which proved to be a disappointing experience. I had reserved a BBQ for a certain time but it turns out it was already occupied by someone who didn’t take the time to reserve it. When he was finally done 20 minutes later I had 10 minutes to cook my food before the half hour was up. ( they only give you 30 min reservation times) which is unreasonable. during my time down af the pool I witnessed a group of people smoking out of a hooka. It clearly states smoking is non permittted. Loud innapopriate music was being played, women in thongs ( disgusting and innapropriate especially for a family oriented building). I was there with my young children and was not happy at all with this. Totally inappropriate inconsiderate and disrespectful behavior. I refuse to ever go down to the bbq/ pool area for the rest of the summer because of this. It’s a shame because we were really excited to enjoy ourselves this summer outside by the pool and bbq that we pay for but it seems like it has just been taken over by people who do not have the deciency to follow the rules. Some people don’t even know how to use the bbq. One time I noticed while using the grill someone before me had left the grill on medium heat. This is a huge safety concern leaving the gas on. I don’t recommend this building to anyone. It’s poorly managed no one follows the rules and personally the amount they charge to live here it’s not worth it. When we first moved here they promised a path that would run from the building to the train. There is a path but it’s filled with gravel and uneven. At night there is minimal light. They promise a lot and just don’t seem to deliver fully. It’s obvious they have no control. Sad that such a nice building with potential has really left such a bad impression with me, my family, and many other people who live in the building.
Just as the first review says, amenities are promised and never delivered. I moved in July 2017. It is now winter and they provide no heat and there is no hot water. The staff, particularly Laura Martinez (one of the managers) is very nasty and unprofessional. Laura is proof that one apple can spoil the bunch. She is abrasive and harsh in both her tone and demeanor. She is unapproachable, even when it comes to basic necessities. It is as if you are bothering her. As it relates to the heat, they tell you it is central heat so you have this impression that you control it. NOT so, you can turn it on all you want, but it will not come on until just randomly when they decide to send up some heat and it literally lasts about 2 minutes and then stops. Back to freezing. They are clearly trying to save money when you in turn pay thousands a month in rent. It is a nightmare, dont let the aesthetics fool you!!!!

2021-11-18As a member of the Law Enforcement community, I needed a location where my family and I would feel safe. I found that and more at River Tides Apartments by Greystone in Yonkers NY. It’s like living at a vacation resort. Indoor parking, gym, pool, lounge, access to Metro North trains and much more. Nilda Laborde, Property Manager is awesome at keeping us constantly informed via emails or phone calls on daily activities, changes, reminders and willing to accommodate our requests. Nilda has a great team working with her. Danielle Orofino, Leasing Manager, was excellent at assisting us with navigating our lease agreement and made our final days at River Tides after 3 years a smooth transition. The head of concierge, Marcus, runs a tight ship and makes sure all enquiries are addressed promptly. And I can’t say enough about the Super Gerson and River Tides House Keeping, they keep the property inside and out immaculate. I for one will missed staying at River Tides and the many friends still there.

2018-11-01From the moment you walk through the doors at River Tides it feels like home. Whether Peter or Juanita greet you, a warm welcome is in store. Skyler is a fabulous Leasing manager who makes the experience hassle free and uncomplicated. Laura manages the property as if each unit is her own. She knows her tenants and is available for any question that may arise. Both she and Skyler are dedicated to the building and making sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. The superintendent, Nate and his team handle any thing you need in your unit in a timely and efficient manner.Although we moved in about two weeks ago, and have not been able to utilize all of the fabulous amenities available, we feel at home. My husband and I have met welcoming and friendly neighbors, participated in fun building activities, and love the view that greets us each day.Living at River Tides is truly coming home to a vacation retreat! We cannot say enough good things about our experience!Thank you River Tides team!

2018-10-25Having now lived at River Tides for nearly three months I agree with the majority of reviews that feel it has been an outstanding experience. After living in a house for 42 years, this was the first place that I looked at. After seeing the view of the Hudson River, none of the other places could compare. I have found the entire staff to be first rate. Peter and the rest of the concierge staff are super friendly and nice. Nate and the maintenance crew have speedily tended to any necessary repairs. When I did not have hot water, Laura Martinez, the building manager, had a plumber at my apartment within minutes. Tatiana Diaz, the events manager, has been doing an amazing job in providing a wide variety of social get-togethers that enable you to meet other residents. Skyler, the leasing manager, has also been a big help in getting to know the building. It’s hard to please everyone, but so far count me as being very pleased with my River Tides experience.

2018-07-04Totally love it here! I have been here for a year and have decided to renew for another two!! Everything from the management staff, Laura, Skyler and Christine, the maintenance staff, Nate, Carlos, Miguel and the cleaning girls are nothing but the best!! The front desk staff especially Patrick and Peter always welcome us home with a smile and big hello! I love my apartment and the Hudson River views are spectacular! Laura is doing a great job managing the building. It’s offensive for anyone to get so personal like the review below! Keep doing what you do Laura and I love the scarfs!!!Things have gotten a bit out of wack at the pool and BBQ area but at the same token residents need to also cooperate and follow the rules. If you can’t appreciate or follow rules this place is not for you. But in overall we are very happy here!

2021-02-27Ive been living here for 3yrs and Management is the worst. Beautiful amenities and building maintenance, yet there needs to be some serious improvements when it comes to running Rivertides. The vibe is definitely a hotel living style but the most important part of living here should be the customer service. Several circumstances have happened here at Rivertides which were not addressed properly. I had cigarette smoke coming from another unit into my apartment vent and nothing was done. I have severe asthma and the only thing I was told from Management was an apology. No investigation into the apartment the cigarette smoke was coming from, and to be honest, no sympathy. I really think that Rivertides Management needs a change in staff. Im addition to that incident, throughout the several recent snowstorms, Rivertides Management let snow pile up while residents were stuck in the snow and had to resort to digging their cars out in the rear driveway of the building. In all honesty, Rivertides is all in all a beautiful residence with beautiful views, all it needs is a staff who will attend to the residents needs and resolve issues head on, while providing the best customer service. Im disappointed that the current management staff has failed at helping the residents amidst the worst times, enduring a pandemic. Instead of being supportive the staff just isnt attentive to residents. Please refrain from applying to Rivertides. There are so many different luxury buildings in Westchester which Im sure will have better management than Rivertides.

2018-06-28We are going on year two of living here and we love it! Moving in while under construction isn’t for everyone but we made due and enjoy all the building has to offer. Laura the building manager does an amazing job managing these two large buildings. Some of the comments about her demeanor and dress I find offensive. Laura is tough and clearly communicates rules (often broken) and provides updates and responses to issues in a timely manner. She is a pro and an effective manager. The concierge staff are helpful, kind and accommodating. The cleaning crew always greats me with a good morning and we share some laughs!A few things that could improve include expanding the amenities areas hours, especially the spa and pool for early morning treatments and swims. So that’s my two cents. Moving to an apartment after owning a home is a major adjustment but nothing a glass of wine sitting on my terrace looking out at the glorious Hidson and Palisades can’t cure!

2018-06-10I moved in last September and I absolutely love my place. The building is very nice, well kept and the maintenance team does a great job of keeping it clean despite of the accidental incidents of dog in the elevator. Laura and team are great and go out of their way to address my requests. Although the path to the MetroNorth has not been completed, I appreciate the convenience of the close proximity of a 3 min walk to the station. In my opinion I don’t agree with previous reviews posted. When you live in a building new or old, whether you rent or own, there will always be rules and guidelines to abide by and maybe this style of living is just not for you.
