Super dog friendly and VERY GOOD wine. It’s important for me to find dog-friendly places because I usually go hiking with my dog when I’m in this area. I enjoyed trying their seasonal wines. Their gift shop is really cool and has cool and unique trinkets. We went during a particularly hot summer day, so it was nice to be inside while we sampled the wines.
My favorite winery in the Hudson Valley! The staff is great and nice to work with as I’ve coordinated events there during the summer for my work at the local college. Best wine around, in my opinion! They even have beer and non alcoholic drinks for sale for the non-wine lovers. Love their speciality events, live music and fire pit to enjoy on nice evenings! Dog friendly and you can bring your own food as well (although I always enjoy the cheese, cured meats and crackers they have for sale)! Become a case member and get discounts and specialty perks too!
Beautiful scenery, good wine. They have pizza - you pay cash. For the rest you can pay with a credit card. They sell different types of cheeses and some cold cuts. Some people were bribing their own food and having picnics there. Also great area for kids: table games and some outdoors too.
I reached out to the winery to notify them of a party of 8 visiting on Saturday. We were added to the list but I had to change the day to Sunday and the people here were quick to accommodate me for the benefit of the group. Once we arrived, we were sat at a table for 8 so we were able to enjoy ourselves without needing to be split into separate groups. The wine was truly enjoyable to drink. The views were relaxing to see as the sun started to set. This winery is a place I would definitely recommend for anyone to visit if they’re in the area!
Decided to check out this winery when staying nearby in Gardiner. Kevin provided us a wine tasting and made the visit SO enjoyable! He was truly amazing and made the day so fun! Super knowledgeable. We even decided to go back the next day for a bottle of wine and pizza! Thanks so much, Kevin! Definitely returning on our next trip!
Love , love , love the place. Staff is courteous and the wine Candy is so damn good. Went with friends and met dear friends there. Had a blast. Cornhole not to good when youve been drinking. Great place to bring your family. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing time with good food and great wine. Came all the way from Queens, NY.
Visited here on a Friday afternoon with my boyfriend and was very happy with the delicious wines and food that we had. The winery is very clean and offers many types of wind to taste. The tasting that they offer is a great way to sample some of their wines. Our waiter Kevin was extremely informative and made recommendations of food pairings for the wines that we tasted. He was very attentive and made sure that we were happy with everything throughout our time there. I highly recommend this winery for yummy food, beautiful views and attentive staff.
My husband and I went for a tasting on a day where it was 91 degrees and humid. We were told to sit on the patio but after a couple minutes decided it was way too hot to be out there. The roof overhead made it even hotter somehow. We went inside at sat at an empty table. A waitress told us that we weren’t allowed to sit inside. We pointed out that another table of people were drinking inside and she said “they had reservations.” There was no one at the bar so we asked if we could order our wine and then stand there and drink it and were told no. We went back on the patio and tried again to endure the heat and just couldn’t. We left without placing our order. When we told her we were leaving because it was way too hot outside she didn’t even look at us.I can’t comment on the wine because we didn’t get a chance to taste any. I still can’t comprehend why we weren’t allowed to sit or stand in a virtually empty indoor area.
Robibero was our first stop on our vacation and we were nothing but impressed! The winery location is beautiful and the wine was wonderful. Our server was so knowledgeable and helped us pick the best wines to our personal tastes. She also gave great suggestions for restaurants in the area and overall, was lovely to talk to. We bought a bottle of traminette to take home and it is one of the most unique wines on the list.
Walked in for a taste, walked out with a case.. enough said! lol We loved several of their wines, from the light and flavorful whites to the surprising breadth of their reds. The property is set up up like you showed up for a family barbecue, with the tables on the deck and families playing in the yard. Look forward to our next visit, once our case is empty. 😉
My experience at Robibero Winery was absolutely AMAZING. Out of the 3 winerys we visited this one was by far our most favorite one. We came here to do wine tasting and the gentleman that helped us did an awesome job . He explained to us what each wine was and what foods would go well with these wines. We were very pleased with this experience and had to buy 6 bottles of wines to take with us. We will be coming back to visit soon . Thank you so much for your great service and great wine.
I have visited this winery on several occasions, but I will never go here again. My friends and I went here on Saturday to enjoy the nice day. As soon as we arrived, the older male employee sitting next to the register was extremely rude to us. He refused to accept a gift certificate we received as a Christmas gift (good until August) and told us to pay in cash/card or move aside (no one was standing behind us). The wine is just okay and the pizza is not worth the trip from NYC. On a positive note, the man making the pizza was extremely nice and there was corn hole set up for people to play. I would recommend exploring other wineries in the area.
I stopped by today without realizing the winery was closed until I had arrived. The owner or whoever was sitting outside eating lunch was so nice that he let me inside anyway to buy whatever I needed. He got up from his table to welcome me and made me feel at home. I can’t wait to go back and bring friends next time it opens, more likely this weekend. My first impression was great, I gave it 4 stars only because I didn’t get the full experience but judging from my first I think I will have a great time, the wine was good too.
The place is great for everyone including families. They serve great pizza and a great selection of wines. Only thing is the wines are just a little bit pricey. They have a lot of space that is very calm and looks beautiful. Tip: Come early because it can get crowded and you wont be able to find a good table. They also have live music sometimes, and have a nice fire pit outside. I would definitely come here again. If you come to Robibero from New Jersey or staying a few days I would recommend going to downtown New Paltz and taking a walk.
Myself and my group found their outdoor space to be a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the afternoon. However, none of us really enjoyed the wines. I admit Im far from an expert on wine so thats just person preference, but if I recall (my trip was a few months ago) most of their wines were in the dry side.
Visited during the the end of summer/beginning of fall of 2020. Location is excellent with lovely views and we got a nice little table towards the other end of the lawn, away from the winery. They also have a good selection of wines, but you may have to pack your own food as the only item on the menu is pizza. Full marks for the location, ambience and service!
This place should be called robbery instead of Roberbiro. The worst experience. The server could not remember which wines that we had or the order. He also forgot to bring out our glasses, our crackers, and would not bring us water cups for the waters we had to purchase. The server poured minimally for some part of the table and largely for the end. The food was overpriced and they give you paper plates. A lot of the cheese in the fridge was molding blue and minimal choices. The server had no idea what was going on and the owner did NOTHING. Extremely unprofessional + will not be returning. It took over thirty minutes for the first wine tasting.
Very disappointing. The wine is grossly overpriced and $12 for the pizza outside is also overpriced considering how small it is. Even when you buy a bottle of wine you are not allowed to sit on their patio deck which is only for those tasting. While the view is nice the grounds are...eh. Wont be returning.
Its been a few years that Ive been to Robibero winery. We were looking forward to going back. The changes they have made in the last few years were impressive at first. Love the looks of the fire pit. The pergola that they have added onto the deck where beautiful. However, the covering that they put on top of the pergola for All Season weather made it like a hot house sitting underneath. It was only 80 degrees outside( but it was humid) and it was uncomfortable sitting there. The wine was tasty but on the expensive side. The slice of gouda cheese was over priced $8 for a small wedge and calling it a wedge is being generous)and I wish they offered an option of a standard mozzarella cheese and not only vegan plant based option that they offered. The personal sized pizza for $15 not worth it. The chorizo pizza was just pepperoni pizza not truly chorizo. Its a beautiful place inside. Liked they have made additions but probably will not go back for a while.
Delicious wine and pizza! Inside has a ton of room for wine tasting/browsing, and they sell some great wine related trinkets and decor. There is SO much green space to lounge and drink in the sun. They are VERY dog friendly. This is the first winery I have found that allows your dog (on leash) inside to wine taste with you. I highly recommend for wine loving dog parents!
My husband and I stopped by as we were in the area. The space is nice we didn’t make a table reservation so we had to sit on a picnic table in the lawn, no problem. The wine tasting was $20 each you get salad dressing cups with wine in them and a glass to keep, we understand the covid measures but for $40 we felt this was lacking. Whites weren’t anything great, but the NY tough red was a solid red. Also they don’t offer wine by the glass which is a shame because after spending $40 on a tasting spending another $45 on a bottle to drink on premise is a bit too much.Cheaper better options around, probably won’t return.
Staff was incredibly gracious and welcoming. They value your opinion and they do a lot to make sure you are content. The place has pizza station on saturday and sunday. We enjoyed their mead wine! We also felt it was super clean and spaced out for proper social distancing!
Great for sipping wine in the great outdoors. My favorite their white serendipity. Picnic tables available. Live music at the time, had a great firepit going. Clean outdoor unisex restroom. Plenty of parking. Greenery to use your Picnic blankets. Bring your hors doeuvre as finger food. Games available at the grounds for entertainment too. Diverse atmosphere and environment. Loved it.
My husband and I were so disappointed with this winery. It’s $15 to taste 4 wines. The 4 wines of your choice come in these very little plastic containers that your local Chinese restaurant give you with soy sauce. It was awful! By the time you get your wines, you forget what the person that served you said about each one. The place is lovely and you sit outside, but we have gone to many wineries around the Hudson Valley and they also do it outside, but they actually pour your wine in a glass and educate you about it. Very disappointed!
Great wine, loved their 27 north and their other wines were really good too. The tasting was well worth it and ended up getting a bottle. The atmosphere is great and there are some fun outdoor activities like giant jenga , corn hole and live music. Would recommend this winery over others nearby.
We love it here! The wine is pretty good (I’m a fan of sweeter wines personally so just a difference in taste—but definitely have some very good bottles!)—the atmosphere is fantastic! Friendly and fun is the name of the game—always have great live music, beautiful outdoor patio & firepit, and delicious food and munchies. The people are great. Robibero always knows how to make your experience feel classy yet “fun”!
Beautiful setting, great space, and they let you bring a picnic! Theres an outdoor fire pit area, awesome. The reason for 3 stars is the actual wine. I did not think it was very good and usually Ill drink anything. During the tasting I actually dumped a couple glasses out. They were stingy with the crackers in between red and white. The guitarist was WAY too loud. Definitely needs improvement, but the couple bottles we bought to split were okay. Overall a nice afternoon.
What a Horrible experience. We regretfully chose to come to Robibero winery for my birthday with my family who also traveled to be there. The male waiter who was also the manager greeted/talked to us/treated us so extremely poorly with such a rude and nasty attitude from the minute we sat down. We called in advance and were excited to spend the afternoon here, and we just couldn’t believe how this was acceptable in how customers are treated there. Even the owners niece came over (on her own) to apologize since she overheard how he talked to and treated us and said that this is how he is and how he has been. How this is acceptable is beyond me. Nothing else was made right. We were stunned, upset and extremely disappointed.
A superb addition to the wine trail, my husband and I stopped through the vineyard for a tasting and were very impressed with their quality of service, their amazing wines and the actual site itself is beautiful. I immediately thought of how gorgeous a small wedding would be at this vineyard and suggested to my friends who were recently engaged. I am going back for my second visit today, for their sangria tasting. Make sure you dont miss this excellent family owned winery and vineyard.
Is anyone ever going to mention that $12 for a wine tasting in the middle of New York is abusive? What happened to wineries wanting to encourage locals to experiment and bring their bottles home? It is decent wine (not extraordinary) and a good environment but I do feel like the prices are extreme! Bottles range from 18-37! Even european wines can be cheaper. It is not a good sign for a winery if you find the liquor store a better option.
Beautiful Winery. Lots of open space to picnic, gorgeous deck to listen to music and relax. Get you personal balsamic thin crust pizza. The wine is excellent. The Merlot is my favorite. The people serving you are The Best Pet friendly. What more could you ask for. Went there 2day for Cinco DeMayo.
Great friendly staff with wonderful hospitality. We took a ride up from the city to enjoy a perfect fall foliage day. Loved the tasting and retired to the outdoor deck overlooking the vineyard and countryside. A very peaceful setting enjoying a delicious bottle of Rabbits Foot. Well be back!
Went here today for a wine tasting not realizing that there was also a grape stomping festival going on. We decided to stay anyways and do a tasting like planned. The “wine expert” who helped us was extremely rude. He did not go over anything and was very short with his responses. He ignored our group and even skipped one of us- not even an apology given to her. He poured the wrong wine and didn’t give me the option for him to dump it. While pouring out wine he ignored us and talked to someone else. He was also drinking a lot. Another person came over to help him and he dismissed them. A terrible service and ok wine. Not worth it. Take your money elsewhere- this is the Hudson Valley there are wineries everywhere. Would never recommend this place.
Fantastic location in the Hudson Valley. Excellent Wine from the Rabbit Foot to 87 North. Very friendly staff and the owners know what they are talking about. The Winery is a great place to spend an afternoon on the patio with live music almost every weekend. If you are in the New Paltz area Robibero Family Vineyard is a must.
Great place me and my husband came today for the first time here for early vday and the hospitality was truly amazing by Kevin was by far amazing person went above and beyond make sure we was good and also explains detail of the wines for us to try....This place over all amazing me and my husband will be coming back ❤ I highly recommend this place
After being to many wineries in the Hudson Valley, this was my least favorite thus far. They were polite enough but did not offer a friendly experience. The tasting was barely two sips! They often said, you cant try that and youd enjoy ___ wine but you cant have it. The man talked to us about how he was there to make the winery money as he poured our stingy portion. Lastly, the wines were okay.To tourists: I would advise you try Millbrook or Whitecliff Winery. Youll get more wine and a much better view and experience for your money.
I would rate the wines I tasted from very good to excellent. Traminette, done correctly, is one of my favorites. Theirs is superb! Cab Franc and the blend, Rabbits foot, are also excellent reds, both well balanced, with the rabbits foot expressing Merlot in a lovely manner whilst balanced by the hearty Cab Sauvignon and earthy Baco its comingled with. Im glad I gave this place a second chance, I was previously turned off by a visit on a holiday weekend. I will keep the three best from them in stock at my home from now on.
The food and wine were delicious and the staff was friendly. We called the day before and asked if we could bring food. They said yes, so they brought food.Ive heard that it doesnt. Staff will be friendly next timeI asked him not to bring it.I was confused, but I said I would understand, and I also ordered pizza and cheese and ate it.This is my second visit and it rains every time I come 😄
A nice place ... but we went this Saturday, September 25, 2020 and they wanted to charge us a tall man of about 60 years to sit at a table 15 dollars per person, they will tell me we were 9, what a business ... but one of the group discovered that on the side there were tables and they did not charge anything and we went there after buying a bottle of wine for $ 30 they are very expensive and a normal wine..if you want to drink good wine go to brotherhood winery which is near there good treatment and good wine and they do not charge to sit at a table.

2022-05-08First time here, large winery with large grass area for lounging and drinking.Large parking lot in back so parking shouldnt be a problem. Firepit with chairs and outdoor seating however I strongly recommend bringing some chairs and blankets. They have an outside restaurant as well as tasting room with lots of wine to try and buy. Will note they have small fresh cooked pizza for sale outside but really expensive considering its a tiny pizza. Dogs are allowed.

2022-06-28Awesome vineyard. Service was stupendous. It was not a busy Monday so my wife and I were able to take in the scenery uninterrupted. The wine tasting is a must and the lamb/goat cheese is absolutely awesome!!!

2021-09-21Came on a Monday afternoon a few weeks ago and it was awesome. The lovely blonde lady who took care of us was excellent. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name! She was so friendly. Explained everything beautifully and was so informative about each wine. She really is the epitome of great service. The wines were delish. We came home with two bottles even if they were on the pricey side. It was a great experience.

2021-05-09Visited on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and had a great time. Enjoyed a couple of their reds and a white. They also have beer. Got to enjoy their fire pit and the pizza they have on the weekends was very good. On a summer day the heat might be an issue as all of the seating is outside but in the fall or spring this is a great way to spend the day. Overall a great experience!

2020-03-02This place is awesome! The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. They had live music with a guy playing smooth jazz on his electric guitar. They have a huge fire pit. I would love to sit it there in the fall/spring. It was 17 degrees out when we went, but the fire still looked inviting. The wine is good but very expensive (in my opinion). I have had better wines for less money. I would give this place 5 stars if it were more affordable. However, this place is very reasonable with their wine tastings. I will only go here for the wine tastings because I wouldnt be able to afford the wine by the glass or the bottle. They also sell cheese as well. I TOTALLY recommend getting the buffalo wing cheese and the onion steakhouse! They are both very flavorfull. They also taste great together! Icant wait for the next wine tasting!

2021-04-17Great space and very dog friendly. There are many picnic tables spread out on the lawn, so it was very comfortable. Good variety for the wine tasting and we all found wines we liked. Not much variety for food-plain pizza was underwhelming but the meat pizza was good

2020-08-314 tasting for 15 per person on the deck. Very spacious and pretty location. You can select from all the wine on the list. They also offer other beers, ciders to drink. A lot of space outdoor to sit. They also sell cheese and meats to eat. Very affordable!

2021-06-04Perfect afternoon, Jay was so personable and knowledgeable about the wine. Juan greeted us immediately and made us feel at home. We did the wine tasting and got a few glasses after we were done. Would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone!
