Reserved Friday night after hours. Got a call first thing on Saturday from Kayla that my unit was reserved and ready to move in! Stopped by Saturday early afternoon, Andy set up AND gave me 20% off for 6 months! Highly recommended! 💪🏻
Lubby took great care of my Mother and I. The space was clean and security is up to date, which is what caught my eye in the first place. I wasnt thrilled when I reviewed my recepeit and saw I had been charged a pro-rate for the last two days of August, (if I had known that I wouldve returned on the 1st), and there was also an administration fee. Overall, I appreciated Lubbys attentiveness, customer service, and down to earth sense of humor. She knew everyone who walked in the door, and that gave me a sense of reassurance; that even in an area where everyone kind of goes about their business and does their own thing, communal atmospheres still exist.
I would like to thank LUBY for her kind and efficient service. She has been most professional, provided excellent service and gone to great lengths to assist me. Her patience with me as I change plans is to be commended. Her service re-affirms why I will definitely recommend Safegaurd self storage on East Tremont Avenue. Continue to be great Luby :)

I reserved my unit online and completed the registration in person. I was immediately greeted by super friendly staff. The assignment manger Eddy and manager Luby were courteous and friendly. They also both have a great sense of humor and made the registration process simple and enjoyable. I highly recommend!! I’d give 6 stars if I could!

I only gave 4 stars because I found the prices to be a little high. However, the professionalism of Rafael gets him 5 stars * * * * *.He was very thorough in his explanation of whats offered with the Safeguard company and made the visit feel like the right choice. On Thursday, December 26 I was greeted by Luby and Eddy. They provided me with excellent customer service. They informed me of options that were convenient for me that I never knew existed. I am well please with the service I have been receiving thus far in my 8 months of being with Safeguard and would definitely recommend anyone to get their storage with these guys.
This self storage is great! The manager Eddy provided great customer service. He was able to answer all my questions and helped me out with all of my needs. Luby also was so friendly and welcoming. This place has great customer service. If you want to get your storage on, this is the place to go!

This is my first experience with Safeguard and they are absolutely wonderful! Eddie and Jojo were the employees working in the office, and they were more than helpful. They were warm, clear, and made sure my fiancée and I were absolutely clear on all terms of their contracts and documentation. They’re prices are SUPER cheap, and they have amazing security. Hey sanitize the building and have cameras EVERYWHERE. You can see the footage in the lobby when you walk in! Wonderful, quick, and thorough customer service. Highly recommend (Eddieee lets be friends!!!!)

Safeguard Self Storage facility is THE BEST! During this horrific time in history dealing with the global pandemic that is COVID-19, I concurrently tried to facilitate an out of state move. Not ideal, I know; but very necessary for my health & well being. Luckily for me, I had the absolute pleasure of working with both Eddy & Luby from the Bronx E. Tremont location. Both of these amazing humans lead me through the different phases from inquiry & reservation through to rental confirmation.Eddy, the Assistant Manager is just sooooooo wonderful! My experience at SSS 1112 E. Tremiont with Luby the Facility Manager was terrific. She was patient, kind, and very helpful. Shes the reason why I decided to become a new tenant with Safeguard Self-Storage. She offered me a great deal, that I couldnt have turned down.Then Luby referred me to Eddy the Assistant Manager who was helpful as well in assisting me with the closing of my contract and explained to me the process, procedure and my responsibility as a tentant.Thank You All😀

Safeguard Self Storage has great customer service. The staff there name Jennie was very helpful, understanding , and respectful. I enjoyed the customer service that I received today inputting in my belongs in storage , and I got 20% off the first 6 months for the my storage which is a big help. I like it so far so good.
Today was my day to have a personal tour in order to get a storage room for things my mom needs put away, and to be honest i was ready to leave because the pricing for certain rooms wasn’t beneficial for me and/or the sizing wasn’t available. But, i loved how amazing the customer service was from “Luby”, that she didnt want me to go and gave me the comfortability to feel free to still see the rooms available, she had so much patience with me, and final results- I AGREED to a room that was best for my mom & I, thank you LUBY for your amazing customer service! I will recommend to anyone.
As I entered this clean establishment I was greeted by Luby and Eddy I just walked in for boxes and let me tell you if I ever need storage or anyone I know inquires about a storage stop. For a box the was under $3 dollars the energy was enough for me to come back and refer this as the best storage facility ever, the hire on these associates are remarkable and appreciative we need more people in the world like these two!Thanks for laughs

By far the best storage experience I’ve had so far. When you go there ask for Kim because I’ve never seen someone so enthusiastic at their job and the appreciation and diligence they provide is bar none, the best storage experience you’ll have. They also have great prices and this is coming from someone that has had 6 different units in 6 different companies.

One of the managers her name is KIM is the best ! She super sweet and informative ! Always provides great customer service ,the storage unit here is always clean and nice and not crowded. After a few months I transition to a smaller unit and she made the process super easy.!

Update on the concern below: LUBBY! YOU ARE LIKE THE NORTH STAR GUIDING ME BACK TO SAFEGUARD 😂 she was able to fix everything quickly and efficiently. I cannot be grateful for all your help with hearing my concerns and making me laugh. It’s been a tough time, Especially now with my father being so sick and concerns COVID outbreaks rising again, that I was hoping and praying that something else wouldn’t go wrong. Thank you thank you thank you for giving us peace of mind. 😍Edit: I’ve loved my time with this storage unit. I had not had any issues until recently. My last two phone interactions with Maible have been a nightmare. Last month my father wanted me to call on his behalf to pay for his unit. He had just opened an account with a bank and wanted to finally put his card on file as I have been making his payments and calling every month since March for his safety as he is battling cancer. I called to ask if I could place his card on file over the phone but was told to come in person to place the card on file but could do a one time charge. The rep at the time proceeds to charge my card as I clearly mentioned I would be charging a new card. After explaining this the rep places me on hold, Maible comes into the picture. He blatantly lies and tells me once a card is charged, the charge can’t be void. They literally just charged me. So since it’s policy, I didn’t fight it. My husband called this morning and spoke with a lovely rep. We told her that his work schedule has been affected by COVID and would not be able to make our regular payment (keep in mind we have auto pay and have ALWAYS paid ON TIME with auto pay) today but tomorrow instead. She was very sympathetic and understand and placed a note on my account to not charge our card until tomorrow. As I’m in the hospital with my dad, I get notified from my bank of the charge. As we just finished making our more major and important bill payments, the charge resulted into an overdraft on my account. I’m already panicking since I remember my conversation with Maible the month before. I call and I was not only told that he didn’t check for the note and “didn’t notice it” but that THE CHARGE CAN BE REVERSED. I brought to his attention our previous conversation and ask if there has been a change in policy. He said there hasn’t. I love this storage facility but if you can’t properly train your associates on policy, how can I trust to continue business with you? We are in a pandemic. I’m constantly running back and forth to hospitals to care for my dad, as he’s one of my patients. I don’t have the time nor energy to continuously rectify an issue your associates make when I call you guys for assistance.Original review: Very fast and easy. Rafael was very helpful and explained everything. Very happy with the storage unit and service. :)
Eddy was very helpful getting me set up with my storage space, he made the whole process clear and easy. The facility is clean, and this being April 2020, he and his manager were both very conscientious, wearing masks and gloves, etc.

GREAT PLACE to store what ever you need to store. It is very clean. ...I was a client for 2yrs and the day I was closing my account and emptying my storage room was a day from hell. Fortunately Kim @ Safeguard with her bubbly and positive energy turned my day around and without doubt made it bearable and took my experience with safeguard the most enjoyable of any of my vendors. I visited the facility to just buy boxes and packing supplies. Kim and Bonnie were extremely helpful helping me pick the boxes I needed. I also might need storage and Kim showed me many sizes and answered all my stupid questions she was patient. Great secure storage and great staff.. I have been there for about a year now and its been a breeze. The place is clean and doesnt have roaches like Manhattan Mini storage or Cubesmart, and also unlike the prior two the staff is friendly,courteous and knowledgeable. And the prices ...oooohhhh the prices are great.. I dont think anybody can beat their rates.. We got there after a very hectic move and were greeted by Jennie who made the paperwork process a snap and and she was a true professional who directed me and my friends who were assisting to where the unit and dilly was. All in all for a last minute urgent storage issue Safeguard made it slightly less difficult. The prices and location work for me too. Id totally recommend Safeguard Storage.

2022-08-02Had I given a review in 2020, it would be 1 star. But I waited til I moved out to measure the overall 2.5 year experience.I took over 2 units after my brother passed in Dec 2019. The process was annoying. Mostly, I would get different information depending who answered the phone. It seems they deal with a lot of employee turnover, or they get coverage from multiple sites as I never saw the same person working there twice (though I admit I rarely visited). I had an issue paying my bill on time once and was met with a great deal of sarcasm and condescending behavior when I asked for courtesy. I was pretty much told to pay my bill or they would sell my stuff (I was only about a week late).Their late fees are excessive compared to other storage facilities by the way. 1 time late in 2.5 years and it was an unnecessarily unpleasant conversation dealing with the person who claimed they were the manager at the time (Jermaine I believe was his name).The other issue I had was rate increases. They were renting same sized units for a lesser price but wouldnt honor those rates. The only work around was to rent the unit under someone elses name without their knowledge and move my belongings. Which I didnt want to do. I attempted to escalate both issues with a District Manager and never received a response. A corporate call center associate assured me on two different occasions the person was notified. But they never reached out. No email, no phone call. Just ignored my request to discuss the issues.On the bright side, the place is immaculate. Priced competitively (before increases). No visible rodent issues. Carts and step ladders available to use. Secure elevator access. A 4 car loading dock. Easy and secure way to pay your bill online. I would definitely recommend the facility. But personnel is a mixed bag. Just hope you dont have any issues that will require managements involvement.If the manager in 2020 wasnt so condescending and the District Manager simply returned my call, they wouldve had a 5 star review.
