They lie about the size of their storage. I paid for storage that could fit 7 rooms of furniture plus boxes and I had to buy another unit for my 3 bedroom home. Manager acted like it wasnt anything that I had to leave work to buy another unit. Will never store with them again.

Lisa and Raphael are some of the best customer service agents I have ever dealt with. If you need to get a storage compartment I would definitely come to the Wakefield location. Courteous, knowledgeable, and polite.
Apparently only the men that work there know how to pop locks the women are only trained to answer the phone and do paperwork if no man is there and you lose your key your sol

The customer service was excellent Mr. Fernández was very helpful and explain all the pressures and answered all my questions.The only downfall was the system, it crashed and lock both tellers so that extended my time to open my account to 2 hours. I lost half of my Saturday morning there to be honest that’s pretty unsatisfactory.

Check the videos when the business is opening. Im out here waiting to get in with other customers. Its close to 11am and the place is supposed to be open at 10am. Everything is explained above. No need to respond to my review. All the responses you give are pathetic. GET NEW MANAGEMENT OR RESPONSIBLE WORKERS THAT CAN ALLOW CUSTOMERS ACCESS ON TIME!

Place seems clean. But new building layout doesnt seem to work for everyone. The smaller top units require large cumbersome ladders to reach them. Problem is they are above larger units. This causes problems moving things or even getting into your unit. These ladders constantly blocks the hallways and if you move them. They block another hallway. I went to ask at front desk one day if anything can be done about not having enough hand trucks available. I was told no we cant do anything about it. There were only 2 for entire building at the time. Not really the answer I wanted to hear. The main office staff is cool. With exception to the female manger who is not. I wont recommend this particular spot to anyone. I will use it for my 4 to 6 months obligation but that is all. If I hadnt filled up my 2 units already I would choose elsewhere.
Great options, supreme customer service, clean facilities and good deals. Originally we came in back in Dec looking for a unit for Feb. Andy was awesome, showing us various units just to get a general idea of spacing and layout. Went back in yesterday and Rafael got us situated with a unit that fit our needs. He showed us a ton and was patient as we talked through our decisions, providing helpful feedback of his own. Overall, very happy with the process and recommend SafeGuard Storage to anyone looking to store their stuff.
Truly impressed with the levels of professionalism and client experience from staff here. Felt like I was a top level client even before I agreed to use the services. Mr. Rafael was great and I enjoyed talking with him about my storage needs. Plus, he reminds me of on of my favorite actors Rossi on TV series Criminal Minds. We joked about it. Highly recommend this place and their services.To the owners. Can you please review opening hours to help working people who cant make it within an 9-7pm week and weekend schedule. We can come in earlier in the mornings or later at nights. Operating hours very inconvenient. Thank You.

Experienced a very unprofessional experience today. Needed to have my tag fixed and was there first. My stuff had to be kept being put on hold because he was asking the lady who was helping me to do things for him. Also I left my headset in a unit I transferred from and he was the one who showed it to a new customer. Now my headphones is stolen.

After years of needing a storage space, I finally went to Safeguard Self Storage at 4301 Bronx Boulevard. I’m happy to report that the front desk staff Desmond and Jermaine—made getting started much less overwhelming and are incredibly professional and attentive. The whole staff was also great. Looking forward to moving my things in soon.
I was greeted the moment I walked in the door and treated with a lot of respect and care pertaining to my situation. Raphael was very clear about everything there is to know about Safeguard Storage and offered the best solution regarding the type of space I needed. The facility is well maintained and very clean no signs of tardiness. A lot of security cameras which is a good thing and overall I felt secure leaving my stuff in Safeguard Storage, I will use this facility again for future occurrences. Very happy with the service I was given and left confident with peace of mind.
Ms. Kim & Ms. Kaila were more than helpful assisting me this morning as I arrived straight off the highway from Florida and was in the process of finding a reasonably priced and convenient storage unit in the immediate area. After finalizing the rental agreement, they both informed me of the Assistant Manager & Maintenance Position that their company is looking to fill. Therefore I took their advice as well as the initiative to submit my resume, cover letter, etc.

This is my first experience of using a storage facility, but it turned out to be a great one. I did some research and felt that Safeguard would be worth trying. I am glad I made that decision because the staff was very attentive, helpful, and patient with me. They took their time explaining things, and even gave me a discount.I dont know what other people have experienced at different storage facilities, but I think this is a very good one and I would recommend them to others. I been a customer over 6 years. However recently went to my storage unit found most of my items in storage damage do to water. No one at your facility can seem to tell me why, when or how my unit received water damage. Your staff to say the least were annoyed that they had to do a little work, oh but wait they did absolutely nothing but give me a form to fill out for insurance company which states facility personnel to fill out. i did the form and your staff signed that they did it. No one ever inspected my boxes, never took pictures. I took my own pictures over 80+ moved my items to another unit myself. then have the nerve to have me sign up for a new contract since as your employee stated i moved to another unit. waited for a call from Andy.... never happened, but received a call from Desmond to call him since Andy is on vacation. So i call the office hes not in asked when or were i can get in contact with him and was hung up on.
I walked into Safeguard Self Storage , and was given a warm welcome from both Levi and Eric. They listened to my request and insured me that they could help me find the best unit that would fit my needs. I came into the Bronx blv location last week with my sister she came into rent with you guys and your location was super clean easy road access. But most importantly the young lady Tanya was exceptionally pleasant. She was happy and smiling and very knowledgeable on her job.. she is great customer service and you need more people like her..
Melanies was very helpful from the minute we walked in. She immediately gave us her name and started looking up our reservation. She let us know the difference between the storage rooms, including pricing, and which one had a closer loading dock. Once she showed us the rooms and we decided the best one, she placed the locks and started the paperwork. She explained all the fees I would pay, the insurance and what it covers, and set us up with autopay. I will definitely will be recommending this facility to my friends.

Horrible customer service. SHELLY ANN Ferguson has no customer service skills. Rude and IGNORANT. You came to this country to work and represent the Island people well, what a shame! You thought b/c I came there looking rough I wasnt smart or educated enough to know how you treated me was unprofessional to say the least. Stay away from here. Staff in the office is nasty and rude except for 1 of the guys, they close before the posted time they close at 7 I’ve pulled up 6:30 and they’re closed. They charge w.e they want for the unit 1 person told me I was over paying for the unit they tell you to call or email the district manager who never reply. They also never did anything for customers that were affected by covid. And I never write reviews had too take the time to let people know. STAY AWAY
New manager Kim is disrespectful/unprofessional to customers. I wanted to transfer storage and looked at a specific storage space. It was placed on reserved. The day before I went to move my things they called to confirm, I did. They then called me on the day of and I also confirmed. By the time I drove down 4 blocks, this new manager sold my reserved space then had the audacity to say there is nothing she can do. So what I did was get another storage elsewhere because she wanted to give me a storage I refused before.
My first time experience with safe guard storage was great. Qiana is just special. Very professional, very personable, and a great sales person. She is really a great representative for any company and I hope Safeguard is grateful they gave her. She truly sold me on the storage. And the experience with her is what made me not price shop and go to a cheaper storage, as I was going to go to another storage a few minutes after getting there. She truly explains/ sells the storage and their product well, and gives you space to make an informed decision. I highly recommend safeguard. But more importantly I recommend Qiana for giving me a pleasant experience on Safeguards behalf. FYI Ive used many storages...this storage and experience was different (safer, high tech, professional). I highly recommend it.
Customer service at this place is horrible. People at the front desk give attitude and act like they dont have patience. They mock and laugh at people as a way of indicating how stupid was the question that you asked. Someone needs to provide them with good quality training as to how to address costumers and at least pretend as if they like their job.
I was told that on my first day, someone would show me how to operate the lock etc. When I got to office to inform staff that I had come to drop off some stuff, the female staff told me to go to my unit and she would send someone up to show me what to do. No one came. I cannot say for sure if she even contacted anyone. This is not a good first impression!

Safeguard Self Storage located at 4301 Bronx Boulevard has to be the number one spot to rent. The salesperson Lena and the sales associate who name I did not catch was the epitome of professionalism. This establishment is well lighted , very clean and odorless, which speaks to climate control for your valuable personal items. . Lena was able to answer all of my questions and calmed any concern that I may have had. I highly recommend that you seek out Safeguard Self Storage.
I give the Bronx Boulevard location 3 stars for this: the reps, in particular the two females, are not as professional as you’d expect. If it wasn’t for the ease of access to my storage unit, I would have rated this facility with 2 stars.

This place is crazy.. they dont have enough carts, only 2. nor do they have a Garbage Bin so if you wanted to get rid of things in your storage you cant... thats stupid.. that makes it hard to leave things, that you dont want or dont have room in the car for

I had a terrible experience today , I work in the car business as a sales professional and if a customer were to walk in before closing time I would have to provide my services . Besides the hectic schedule and long heavy hours I work , I manage to rush to my apartment to get my items to put in storage. I live in a building without an elevator on the 4th floor which I made several trips up and down , I get everything I need , look at the time and rush to the facility . I arrive at 6.47 . Approximately 13 minutes to closing . I entered and was denied access and when I asked for help from an employee I was told there was nothing he can do (but his body language said he really didn’t care and he wasn’t going to help me ) . It would have only took be about 5-7 minutes to load everything I needed to put in storage. After an experience like this I will seek a new place to store my items . Thank you for the inconvenience.

Awful customer service. They took my reservation. When I came in to sign the lease they didn’t have it. The rate I was giving no longer existed. There was a huge support column in my unit which should mean a discounted rate as far as I’m concerned. In addition the elevator doesn’t make it to the floor i was given. That should also be a discounted rate. Also, the free truck to remove your stuff from your precious location is a total scam. My hands were tied because the convenience of the location but my past experience with Public Storage was way better. 2 thumbs down for this place.

I recommend safeguard because I had a good experience there I was running late and the first storage unit was to small so I had to get a bigger one and JG made it possible he went above and beyond to secure my stuff.
I currently have a storage unit at this location. I had my unit here for a couple of years due to me living in Fl. The customer service reps that work at this location have displayed ok attitudes throughout the years. Nothing stellar, However recently i have been a victim of the recent hurricane disaster hurricane Irma. Our city is slowly trying to get back to regular operations but its a work in progress. This one agent at safeguard storage by the name of Maryanna has really surpassed the stellar customer service. I explained my issue to her but the first thing she did was expressing her empathy and most importantly she listened. Thts VERY unusual when dealing with matters in customer service. She gave me her word tht she will try to find the best resolution for me and contact me within the same day. Guess what? She did. She offered me words of encouragement expressed her empathy but most importantly she found a great resolution for my issue. Maryanna is stellar I give her 10 stars if i can give anythg higher I would. I thank you for being so professional and so caring you have No idea how much u have helped me. I also think there regional mgr as well. I have had horrible cs experience at another storage place but safeguard at thz Bronx location definitely made up for the past. I hope someone in a higher position like vp or CEO see thz comment because I dnt ever do thz but I just wanted everyone to know how awesome your employee maryanna at the Bronx location is. She is a TRUE BLESSING. She needs a raise or needs to be in a higher position to show others how to treat their customers.

I was there this Wednesday to take my stuff to the cubicle and I arrived almost towards closing time because the moving guy came very late. Even though I was told that the facility closes at 6,50pm, Mary was kind enough to let me take all my stuff to my storage cubicle way past closing time. The moving guy just dumped my stuff and was asking his payment without even helping me to take my stuff to the storage. Mary saw how desperate I was and was so kind. As I told her, she was my angel that day. Her patience and helpfulness is something I lack words to express. Thank you Mary .

Kailamarie was professional and made sure my needs were met beyond my expectations. The property is super clean, hours are perfect and office is so well organized.
Great starting rate that will be raised 200% within a few months. Wish they had longer operating hours for those of us that need to go there after work. Worker rush you if it is close to closing time. Some can be rude about it too. They do have a website where you can pay your bill online. In a pinch it will do.
The last storage place I used was kind of dicey. They really nickel-and-dimed me. Safeguard is soooo much better. It’s cheaper, and more high tech. I can’t recommend this place enough.
I used to love this storage until the new girl sitting at the front came along, I would buy things to send to my country so therefore renting storage units was a perfect option for me to store my items, but the new person at the front desk is making me consider finding another storage shes so RUDE and LAZY!

Missed one payment and they auctioned off my belongings in the unit including my decease sons ashes. When I begged for more time to have someone come pay and/or remove his ashes bc I had to move across country due to my husband receiving orders to PCOS. I was denied this being told that only i would be allowed to come have the locks cut (my family was now stationed in CA). Long story short, 4 years later putting it on my credit report as a charge off. When my belongings cost more than the $40 storage fee that was originally due. Last i check they were pay as you go so and the sold my belongings debt (1 month fee) paid in full. So why put an negative report to the credit bureau??? exactly made no sense.

The safety is compromised lately.the doors are not locked anymore. Mouse pills on the floor in the storage space at the beginning.This place has went down tremendously.

2022-02-02Pros: Customer service is exceptional. Jasmine went above and beyond to explain the process to me and answer all of my questions. She is very pleasant, personable, and friendly.The facility is spotless and very clean. It has climate control so no damp, musty odor like other storage facilities. Staff is very accommodating and transparent.Cons: You have to pay for an access key to enter the storage facility. This should be a deposit that is refundable after you turn it upon the end of your lease. Administration fee of $25 is excessive as well.

2022-03-04Ive done storage before but this place was probably the cleanest storage places I have visited. Roldan ,Eneliz and Rafael did great job in making me feel welcome as soon as I stepped into the office and explained everything thoroughly.
