Savers in other cities:
Sales clearly marked throughout the store, very helpful staff; Ive had a rough year and Im having to start again with nothing but they got me smiling and helped me find lovely inexpensive warm blankets. They gave me friendship I needed, kindness instead of platitudes and they keep the store organized. Thank you Savers team!
Wow, all I have to say is at this store. The prices here are completely insane for used items. Most clothing items were at retail store prices for used clothing. In fact I can go across the street or to another store in the same plaza to Old Navy and TJ Maxx and probably find clothing for less money than here for brand new stuff oh yeah and there s a Gabes about 10 minutes from this store that has prices that are nearly less than everything in here for brand new stuff. I didnt really find anything in here that was a bargain. If you are looking for bargains or are a savvy shopper stay away, because this store isnt for you and its not worth wasting your time. If you think goodwill is overpriced this place is twice as much maybe more. I get that its a for profit thrift and they advertise that fact but I am not paying these prices for used clothing sorry.
Ive been going to this Savers since it opened and was the only one in our area (now theres 2). It is a clean thrift store that is well organized. For that, it deserves 5 stars. So for instance, if you want to go thrifting, but your friend hates dirty thrift stores, bring them to Savers and theyll be pleasantly surprised. But as far as stuff goes, its hit or miss on treasure and it is ridiculously expensive. Im talking $8.99 for a Losman Bills jersey or $7.99 for a Target brand used tee-shirt. Anything with a brand label is always very high priced, even if the brand itself not designer (like Vera Bradley). So its a nice, clean, sometimes got good stuff thrift store. Ill always stop if Im nearby because I love to thrift, but Ive yet to really score here, sadly. So as far as greatest hits of thrifts, it lands in the middle.Other notables: ample parking, carts on premise, wheelchair accessible and friendly. Dressing rooms still closed for Covid as of 8/23/21.
Good customer service if you get there early. They are eager to close and Ive found mistakes on my receipts after being rushed through the line and out the door. But twice Ive gone back the next day and they corrected the problems. Some gems to find at low prices if youre willing to look.
If it would allow me to rate as 0 stars, I would. I would never recommend this store to anyone. I used to come here all the time for years. It started as a wonderful thrift store. Really cheap. But over the past year or so, their prices have just been going up and up and UP. They are so expensive now. I find ripped up shoes for 15 or 16 dollars. A shirt that had the original tag of 12 dollars on it, and they marked it at 11. That’s not a thrift store. Considering that all of their merchandise is from donations, they are an insanely greedy corporation. And the female front end manager is plain rude and it clearly rubs off on her workers. I will not be back any time soon and I suggest no one go either.
Great for a second hand store. You can find lots of name brands and some still have tags. Theres furniture and toys too. Items get rotated rather regularly.Avoid goodwill and other places with religious affiliations. They donate to anti-LGBTQ and anti womens rights organizations.
One of my favorite places to find bargains on used goods. Since their reopening in the Pandemic they have changed their return policy (since the changing rooms are closed), to allow for 14 day returns. That allows for plenty of time to try on at home! I love this policy! I plan to continue donating and shopping here as before. Anything I buy can be sanitized if need be, and all precautions are being taken in the store.
This is definitely my favorite Savers Ive been to. The last time I was here, I found some really great tees and I always have to hold myself back in the books section. Very well organized. My only complaint is the prices, and that is consistent between all Savers. Great thrift store!
Its really hit-or-miss with the prices. I dont understand why thrift store is charging so much for secondhand items. They look at the name brand and charged as if its new! They definitely need new management and to be reminded that it is a thrift store people are going there to buy clothing used because they cant afford it new!
I went on a sale day where clothing/shoes/accessories were 50% off all day. Usually can find great deals. I grabbed my husband a Bills jersey for $15 after discount! Some things, however, like a pair of Childrens Place pants for $8 was a bit outrageous, especially when the actual store sells their pants for $5 brand new regularly. Go, plan to spend a couple hours, and really look. Youll find some gems.
Good selection, but they vastly over price their high end clothing. Platos closet is a few miles away, and they have a better, more organized selection for comparably priced items. Just because something has an Express label doesnt automatically make it valuable. Consider how outdated and worn it is before sticking a $15 price tag on it.
This place is amazing! Clothing smells clean, just like laundry detergent. I purchased clothing for under $25, which were 3 pairs of dress pants and 2 long sleeve shirts. I was super pumped to find out the amount I calculated in my head was half the price I actually paid. Very clean atmosphere and Customer service is excellent. Ill be returning soon.
I have many thoughts on this store, and I think its hard for me to figure out just how to rate it because what Savers is, and isnt is easily confusing. What Savers is: a for-profit second hand store. I think this is important to remember because its easy to feel that theyre a total rip-off when you walk through and see prices so astronomical. They get a majority of their merchandise just given to them for free and then they charge prices that frequently are higher than online stores. I have found plenty of items that I like in their stores and sometimes theyre worth the browse, but I find it helps to check online to make sure youre not getting ripped off!! You might look at an item in store that is $10 (or more) higher than what you could pay online, often in better condition. They want to make a profit, I get it. But I think it sort of defeats part of the purpose of a thrift store when things are that expensive. Their book section is the worst. Ive never seen books cost so much in a thrift store before! No wonder they have so many of them!!
If I could give zero stars I would. There is zero quality control of the items being put out and the prices are insane. Blood stained polo marked at $12.99 because its Ralph Lauren. Winter jackets with massive holes in them marked at $40+. Absolute joke. Easily the worst thrift store in WNY. I wouldnt even donate to this specific store let alone shop. How this store has any positive reviews I do not understand. The place has been terrible since 2017. Anyone that thinks this is a good thrift store is not someone that actually frequents thrift stores. Save your time and money and go literally anywhere else. You will probably find better deals in an actual retail store.
I know people have mixed feeling on this place on here, and I think they are well placed. Sort of has a thrift store vibe, but definitely a cut above Ollies and thrift stores (ie no smell, a bit better kept, has a rewards program, etc.). They dont have ridiculously cheap stuff, but I feel they have good quality stuff at bargain prices. Have gotten some super-nice coats and nice Sabres gear for dirt cheap. Again, they seem to be more of a for-profit place (I think?), so if that irks you, then maybe Goodwill is a better bet. Im fine with this place if Im looking for a nice, gently-used item at a great price.
Not your normal 2nd hand store. Smells better and is usually well kept with little to no mess. Friendly staff and usually reasonable prices. I enjoy going to places like this because youll never know what youll find. My suggestion, if you see something you are on the fence about, carry it with you until you decide. If not, it will be gone.
Overpriced. Store employees are not helpful actually rather rude as if the customer is an inconvenience. Only found one young man (think his name is Christian?) who was amazing. The rest act as though you are bothering them when you ask to see something in one of their jewelry cases. The prices are insane. I won’t be back.
Went in to drop off donations, the person to drop off to was not in yet. So I shopped.. after shopping I cashed out then made the drop off. Not one person let me know after donating I get a 30% off coupon towards my next purchase. And when I asked about it they smiled and said now you know. I would have saved 18 dollars today. Plus there were pants they were selling for 12.99 and the tags were still on the that were retailin for 10 bucks. Saving? Nope. More expensive than every other thrift store and the staff, less than helping towards any kind d of saving. Very disappointing experience.
Prices are way to high for a thrift store. They were charging $49.99 for a designer name brand purse that had holes, stains and major wear on it. It was not in good condition. Also charging $5 bucks for one infant clothing item. I can go to the orginal store and purchase for that price and bring the item back. Name brand clothes were way to expensive, I could go to Marshalls for the price that they were asking for and I could bring the item back. Way to expensive for a thrift store.
The worst, overpriced thrift store Ive ever been in. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! You can buy things cheaper at the mall or other retail location. They had a little Star Wars drinking glass that was priced at $13.99, and two tubes of toothpaste, one looked used, for $4.99. I brought this to the attention of the management and they said (in a very condescending manor) they have a team of experts that strategically price their items. I dont know what these people are thinking, but I tell everyone to avoid this place like the plague. 0 out of 5 stars, two thumbs down!
Back when savers first opened it had reasonable prices, but the longer its been open the prices keep going up. The clothing doesnt seem to change much,. The bathrooms are gross and vandalized heavily. The club card they have you sign up basically doesnt do anything or save you money. They are a for profit business so donating here does nothing but make money for the company.
As everyone has said: Prices way too high. I have found many brand name items(such as Express or Gap) with stains or rips that are still marked too high simply because of the label. Knock off bags are priced too high...Another downside: took away 25 % off on Mondays for members.Managers are rude (except for one guy), a lot of the staff act like customers are an inconvenience. There are a few truly friendly staff members there but not many. However, there are always friendly people at the donation drop off door.Over all, gone down hill....
Thrift Store Quality at Department Store Prices. If I wanted to pay $8 for a stained my little pony I would take my chances with eBay. Amvets and A+ are much more reasonably priced with basically the same products. The only saving grace is shopping for clothes which are decent.
Went in to grab a pair of boots for my 18 month old. Of course, being a thrift store, you are limited to what has been donated. I was lucky to find a pair that fit her and were in great shape. Proceeded to the checkout, and were told we could not purchase them because there was no sticker on them and their pricing crew was gone for the day. Most kids shoes and boots there range from 1.99 to 4.99. I was willing to pay the five bucks, but still (rudely) told no, I can come back tomorrow to buy them. Really?! I am here now, while out running errands for a reason, I dont want to pack up all the kids again tomorrow for a pair of boots that I should be able to purchase at that moment. I wont be returning ever again in the future, rude customer service and terrible experience.
If i could rate zero I would. Prices are ridiculous. For a place that gets EVERYTHING FOR FREE, they should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they do. Some items are more than RETAIL PRICE, so you could go buy that same item BRAND NEW FROM THE STORE FOR LESS MONEY. Sad.
Prices on anything here is ridiculous unless its broken and unusableIve made several complaints to management and headquarters with no avail .Rice is an electronics and videogame stuff is just as high as a video game store but with no warranty or moneyback guarantee.I will do what I can to bring this company down until they get their head out of their asses
Will never shop here again! $30 for a ******* stuffed animal. Really?! I found a Cinderella picture that I wanted, but not for $20 when I can buy it brand new for $12. This location is crazy ridiculous with pricing. Get your passport and go to Canada, itll be cheaper.

2022-07-02I understand inflation but the rule “make it 10 times more than it’s worth because it’s Bills” is insane. The pic attached is just an example. Those prices are higher than new. Yes you can do that when an item is scarce like a baseball card. You can’t charge more than new for plastic cups.

2022-05-22Super affordable prices for good quality clothes, if you take the time to look you can find some really nice clothing selections. Theyres also furniture, shoes, jewelry, home decor, ext. This store almost has everything. The majority of things are priced between $3 - $25

2022-01-28I go here constantly and I can definitely say, the prices here (for the most part) are awesome! I got a Sony 5-Disc CD Player for $7! I don’t believe those complaining about prices because I’ve never had any sort of issue with them.

2022-04-30Yes, Savers is a Great please to shop. The people are all very helpful, I like to talk to a human not a computer. They want to take away the cashiers in the store. If you use a credit card, if you have one, you have to help yourself. Cash you then get a cashier. Strange!

2022-04-10They price clothes with name brands differently than clothes from Walmart. They are a for profit company and not trying to actually help the people struggling to afford clothes.I did not shop the other items. Only woman’s clothes. A tank top that said Calvin Klein was 11.49. Another sleeveless top was 12.49.The people ignored me until I asked for help. Then they killed me with kindness after I asked about the pricing.

2022-04-08I have gone to Savers many times in the past but I doubt I will be going anymore. You used to be able to try on clothes to make sure they fit before you spent your hard earned money on them. Now you take your chances. You can return them but only for store credit. I will never even try to buy clothes there again. In the past I got some good deals but I dont want store credit. If it doesnt fit I need my money back so I can go elsewhere to find what I need.

2022-05-02This store is insane. Broken items no return policy. They cant even plug an electronic in to test for power. (Goodwill will return broken electronics for store credit btw) Dollar Store items priced higher than original prices. Manager is rude and now they implement self checkout(stores dont care, max profit). Pricing out low income shoppers, they can not afford to shop there anymore.

2022-05-10Too much extremely damage merchandise, return and exchange policies are difficult and dated, employees can use communication skills training, sensitivity skills training, and manners. Savers is the opposite of Good Will. You’re better off spending your hard earn cash on slightly less damage merchandise at Good Will.

2022-06-12More clean and organized that other thrift shops. Prices are okay, but could be better. You can tell that thrifting is trending up as an alternative to shopping in bigger stores.

2022-03-20Feel bad giving one star after 10 years of fun shopping here, but at my visit today I was made to go through the self checkout and told theyre getting everyone used to it because therell be no more cashier service. The only reason I ever go to a brick and mortar store as a virtual-working shut-in is to get some social interaction in that nice conversation with a cashier whos doing the work while all I have to do is smile and slowly drag my wallet out. So now youre expected to work on a frustrating machine and feel like a fool while you pay, with no pleasant small talk, buying at prices you could find on your favorite auction website? A physical store can never compete with online if pure convenience and cost-cutting is all that matters. You need that bit of service and interaction to make it an experience of some kind. Last visit, what an end to an era, shame :(
