Even though it took two months for 3 managers to solve an issue, Im very pleased with Brian for taking care of business! Less than 24 hours on his desk and it was finished!! Thank You!Edit. Issues were not resolved. Refecting on my credit.
I dont understand how Sears is still there. Hardly anyone shopping. But they are still standing. I can always find something exceptional at an exceptional price. Staff friendly and helpful. Store clean and calm. Hang in there Sears.

I purchased a dryer was the worst experience I ever had. The customer service rep was incompetent. Also charged me for shipping after I paid to be this VIP customer which has free shipping for a $99 fee. So I was charged for shipping and this $99 fee .. this is crazy. This entire process took about 2-5 hours I was exhausted never again. Someone from corporate needs to call me. Brian was the manager that day.

Barry the mechanic wonderful man got there 15 minutes late and put in a battery for my wife 2013 chrysler 200. and took care of me while the skinny Jamaican man there was very rude. and was saying I am not going to do this job he was not going to work on my wifes car to install the battery. because I did not make it there a 4.00 oclock. The lady in the front desk apologize to me about the mans behavior. With that attitude that man should not be working for Sears Very rude person. Barry gave me excellent service thank you Barry again.
What a wonderful store!In the wake of Co-Vid manager Balal went out of his way to make sure that I felt safe, comfortable and at ease with my shopping experience. Purchased all of my home appliances through Sears and will absolutely make continued future purchases with them! With customer service like this I’ll be back for sure!!! Wonderful staff!!!
We stopped in to find a suit for my grandson. Usually I can find a pretty nice suit hed like to wear. While there, I found some pretty good deals for the rest of my grandkids, a total of 6 all together. I spent less than $90. It was definitely worth the stop. Our cashier was older, seasoned in her job and quite pleasant. Didnt appreciate the intervention department following us around like FBI investigators. Never judge a book by its cover!

Been trying to get my washer fixed for a month. It has sears protection warantee! Went to the store after multiple appointment no shows and reschedules, many phone transfers and being hung up on. The person we spoke to in the store was much nicer than anyone we spoke to on the call centers and warantee and service numbers but still couldnt help us today as he needs someone to approve him to help us. So we are still needing to wait for yet another phone call.
My husband and I knew we want to purchase a washing machine, we went the Sears in Newburgh, N.Y.We had our circular with the specific machine in mind. As we entered the area with machines there was an employee close enough to help us. He did not acknowledge we were looking for this machine, it wasnt until my Husband asked the man did he work there, thats he came around,Shortly thereafter the man warmed up and was kind.The washer that we inquired about was less money in the advertisement than in the store but the gentleman explained, that this washer was at an outlet and it may come with some type of damage or return for whatever reason.I will say I have been a long good standing customer of Sears and I would like to see them stay around longer.Overall we ended up spending more than we wanted, but hopefully it will prevail in the performance of the washer.
Sears has been at the Newburgh Mall forever its a good store if you want to find something quick, but never but tires from the there. They didnt put a tire on correctly and ruined my lug nuts when I bought it to their attention they only wanted to repair 2 of the 4 they damaged. I had to bring it to managements attention and had the repair all of them. Im just glad the wheel didnt fall off while driving. Guess it just wasnt my time
Giving 1 star is too much!!! Went here just now to return a Craftsman tool and the sales associate was rude. Told me to go to Lowes or Ace Hardware. I asked to speak with a Manager, and he was just as Disgustingly rude as she was. No wonder why this store is closing.
I never had such bad experience like I had with this store ...I was waiting to receive my Mattress for almost 3 months, just to be knowing that it will got canceled... and was waiting over a month for my money to return....!

Make sure your item is in stock before you order from sears. The item I ordered was delayed multiple times. We werent notified of the delay until the morning of, if at all.
Purchased a tool box set online and had it shipped to the store. First set was dented. So sears shipped me another that was destroyed. I then went to return the items and got the worst customer service from the manager refunded my order but only 2 items were refunded. Thats all your going to get i guess getting what you paid is out of the question. Dont go here ever let them go out of business
Many Sears stores have closed up shop; this Sears store does not have the greatest selection, but some pretty good deals here if you or someone you know fits the size or items.. Sears is basically struggling to stay alive, they sold their flagship Craftsman brand name to Lowes home improvement center , so you can take advantage of their pricing as they just want to stay in business as long as the can, which in my opinion wont be very long. Happy hunting!
The manager here Brian Doty is EXTREMELY helpful and polite, and he provides EXCELLENT customer service! I hope this Sears is here to stay! Their pick up is also fast and easy with friendly pick up staff as well.
Im beginning to get fed up with this place. When I first learned about Sears Auto Center I thought it was great. They give discounts Shop Your Way help me save money. But as the months have gone by theyve started slipping. They dont do the snapshot unless I raise a fuss, and today I raised a fuss and he just took my paper and checked all the green boxes and said my car is fine. I told him you didnt even do the snapshot. So they grudgingly pulled my car in the garage did a real snapshot and found that my tires arent aligned. And this isnt the first time this happened another time I had a slow leak and they didnt find out oh, and I got a flat tire in New York City. I live Upstate but commute down. That day was a mess. Im beginning to see why Sears is having the problems they are having.
I took back a pair of jeans for a refund. That went well. I decided to see if I could find other Jeans in my size. I did. Unfortunately, I couldnt find anyone at the checkout counters in order to purchase them. The ladies that were at the checkout where I got my refund were nowhere to be found. So I left the Jeans laying on the counter and left.
Sears still offers quality clothing, and they have great sales every week. Unfortunately, its almost impossible to find an open register, to buy your items. If you need assistance, on the floor, you are out of luck!
What is going on, this store use to be a happy place to go into. Now it is gloomy ,sad, workers not motivated with happiness to at least be living.

Buyer Beward DO NOT purchase from SearsDont Ever purchase large appliances from Sears. I have a 31/2 year old refridgerator that has been broken since 5/30/19. They have come to repair it twice so far and it still is not keeping temperature my refridgerator compartment will not go lower then 45 degrees so I cannot keep any dairy in it which has forces me to buy a mini fridge because the technician Jeff obviously has no idea what he is doing. I tried getting the manager on the phone and could not reach him but have been told he would call me and to this day have never gotten a call from the manager whose name is Tony. I went to the store and spoke Jim Cunningham he took my name and number on 09/30/19 and assured me he would have Tony call me and at the very least he would get back to me by the end of the day.It si now 3pm on 10/1/19 no call from Tony or Jim Cunningham. I called the store just hung up spoke with Jim and he said he intercompany emailed Tony to call me today but still nothing by 3pm. Getting absolutley no where again. It is obvious that Sears appliances are garbage and their technicians have no idea what they are doing.. The entire sealed system has had to be replaced in a fridge that is less then 4 years old.Buyer beware DO NOT purchase from Sears.

Went to the auto service area to have the alignment done on my car and had to come back to have it redone. It seems like making an appointment doesnt matter much since walk-ins are given the same priority. Youll still end up sitting around for 2-4 hrs just waiting for them to take your car in even if you made an appointment.
By far the worst company to ever deal with. We bought a very expensive refrigerator 3 and half years ago and the compressor went on it. The manufacturers warranty only covers parts for 10 years, not the labor. The technician told me that this is a common problem that they are aware of. Instead of Sears and the manufacturer fixing it free of charge they charge the customer 600 dollars and also make you pay for a valve that needs to be installed that is not covered. Since you need to have your appliance fixed there isnt anything you can do about it so they nickle and dime you, and your forced to pay the 600 dollars. Dont ever buy a Sears appliance or anything for that matter from Sears. No wonder they are going out of business they sell garbage and do not stand behind their products now does the manufacturer which is LG. Yes Kenmore is made by LG.
Went to the Auto Center got there when the door opened at 10 at 11:40 my car finally went in for the oil change to be done. Apparently you have to know someone that works there to have your car done right away. People came in after me and left before me.
I have been waiting for them to deliver my dryer and they keep changing the day of delivery I had to take off work 3 days to wait for a dryer that never comes calling customer service throughout the day and they keep giving me different times then 8 p.m. they call saying they have to reschedule the dryer was delayed at the manufacturers meanwhile my dryer is sitting on their truck still. When I miss work it costs me I have 7 kids that depend on me 7 kids so missing work makes me short on food, baby milk, diapers and my mortgage and a whole lot of bills. They said they would compensate me 10% what will 10% do for me when I missed a whole 3+ days? DO NOT ORDER BIG APPLIANCES FROM HERE
Simply deplorable, unacceptable customer service. Attitudes reflect as though you owe them something. This is part of the reasons why we see stores such as this shutting their doors in mass numbers. Get it together and fast Sears.... you use to be a pillar in our communities.
They are over priced and expensive like its the 80s when most people went there. No wonder Walmart is slowly pushing them out of Business.
My husband and I purchased a refrigerator from Sears 2 years ago. On December December 30th 2017 our refrigerator stopped working, when we called the company that Sears outsources to C & E Appliances we were told that the earliest appointment was January 10th. January 10th comes and no one calls or shows up to our scheduled 5 appointment. We finally have someone come on the 11th of January for them to tell us they have to order a part. The customer service at Sears and C & E Appliances has been terrible weve been without a refrigerator for over 2 weeks we have 3 kids and two little ones with food allergies. Ive had to throw away some of our allergy friendly food for my kids because it all spoiled. My husband and I are disappointed and very frustrated with the customer service at both companies. We will no longer purchase appliances or products from Sears because of the company they out source. Both companies because have poor customer service.

This Sears store is very easy to get to as it is just off of I-84. The sales staff is very welcoming & helpful. They have a good selection of merchandise, which I feel is of good quality. Be mindful of sales, that is when you really save.The store is located in the Newburg Mall on Rt. 300, just off of I-84.The store is Handicap accessible. And it has Handicap accessible parking.Personally, I like this store the best, just because it is easier for me to get to, than the store in Poughkeepsie.
Came to fix flat tire or puchase new front driver side. Told need 2 new tires and alignment. So mad ....told he can not sell just 1 tire. ...going to mavis
Wasnt crowded, staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. I found just what I went to purchase so store was organized and clean. I dont shop here often but will in the future.

The Auto Center is AWESOME when you need to get a quick oil change at an ungodly hour. You can get in and out without any hassles.
The local sears isnt really worth the drive to go there..we were shopping for new appliances.there was no real sales help,no incentive to buy, no discounts for buying r appliances worth close to $4 000. We went to a store with 10% Discount for veterans and a break on delivery and installation

Went to both the Newburgh & Poughkeepsie store locations today; employees are polite, both stores had a good amount of merchandise in them to look through & good sales. Poughkeepsie store is larger, thus roomy displays and more relaxing to shop in.
Really bad costumers service at newburgh ny I was trying to lease some tires and they make me drive from home to the store because they couldnt do it right,.. Marc was the name of the guy ,.. I guess they have to upgrade the workers ,.. to me thats one of the reasons they going out of business !!!!!!!
Bad customer service. Like last guy guy said exhaust was rioted and would cost 1000$ unfortunately we had no one now Im having more problems with the car than before , my last trio cost me 3000$ . Avoid this place like the plauge.

It seems like every time I go to this Sears the clothing is all mismatched on the shelves, the signage is very confusing indicating how much things are, and the store is either freezing cold or boiling hot depending on the season.

Came in to get my exhaust looked at, guy tell me my entire exhaust is rotted and needs to be replaced.. about $1000. Which is total BS, took it to another shop got it fixed for less than $100. Avoid this place at all cost they are crooks

Broke 2 mechanic tools Craftsman, they replaced without any questions and I was out if the store in 5 minutes. American made stands by their products.

2021-11-15Now this Sears is very clean and the Auto Center is still GOING STRONG!! The store is spaced out very well and the only problem I see is not as many customers! Could of been the day or the time. This is the last Upstate NY Sears. Love love LOVE THE SEARS AUTO CENTER! How much longer will this Sears last though? We’re down to the bottom here! With a location in Jersey City, NJ , PA , MD, and Florida from this side of the United States! Only time will tell and the employees here are very friendly and work hard to accommodate the customer base!

2021-11-26Sadly to say Sears Automotive center closed for Good to the public on 11/24/21. Sears department store will remain open and struggle to survive and stay open Sears has been struggling for so many years now with the other online competition and epidemic didnt help matters at all as Sears struggles this Sears is one of the last remaining stores in the Hudson Valley Sears has been serving our community for many many years it would definitely be saddened to see this store go please please please 🙏 shop this store try to keep it stay afloat. They still have one of the best products on the market for a very good low price thank you happy holidays MR-MURF

2021-12-01Customer service is THE WORST. We ordered a refrigerator with a handle on **the right**. What arrived was a fridge with a handle on **the left**. Ordinarily this isnt a problem, either the delivery person or someone from repair will come out to switch the handle. Fridge arrives and the delivery guy said he doesnt do door flips that we need to call Sears and have someone come out.We called Sears and were told that the delivery guy was supposed to flip the door. After an hour of back and forth with Sears, they finally agreed to send a maintenance guy. After much confusion on the day of the appointment (it was cancelled and back on several times), the maintenance guy shows up and tells us theres a $350 charge because we didnt have the delivery guy make the swap... its not like we didnt try. He said we should contact Sears repair again that it should have been done by delivery and he would have to charge since hes a third party contractor that Sears works with.So after more lengthy back and forth with Sears customer service yesterday, we scheduled a second appointment that they cancelled today... because...we were supposed to have the delivery guy (who said he doesnt flip doors) flip the door. I can almost hear the circus music.Tl;DR -- Sears is trying to charge us $350 to flip a refrigerator door to what we ordered but Sears failed to deliver on.

2021-11-23If I could give it a zero I would. Never buy an appliance from Sears! Used to be a great trust worthy company. No longer. Fridge broke down a little over 6 months after purchase. Couldn’t be fixed. Finally they approved a replacement under manufacture warranty only for it to never be delivered. It has been almost 6 months without a refrigerator. The company can’t seem to replace it and refuses to refund my money. Avoid buying from here at all costs!

2021-11-22If I could less than 1STAR I would My washing machine has been broken since before Oct 20. I had a repairman come and told me on Oct 20 there was nothing wrong with the machine Used it on Oct 27 and it did not work. Took a video of what it was doing took off work again on Nov 19 that was cancelled and reschedule for Dec 15. So I go to the laundromat every other day to do my wash. So I guess they have only one repairman that fixes washing machine The people who talk to you on the phone all they do is LIE AND READ THIER SCRIPTS THEY DONT CARE AND DO NOT REALLY WANT TO HELP YOU And the saddest part is I have been buying sear appliances and their service contracts since 1980 when I was first married.

2021-12-03My first issue: the hours. What kind of department store doesnt open until 11am???!!! The mall is open, as well as the 4 other stores that actually operate in the Newburgh mall, but not Sears; 11am is when they open, trés bizarre.As for the rest:Sears on a whole scale, has closed down just about every store they have; this is the only one in orange county, NY; it could write possibly be the last store in existence in NY. Im not sure if this store is getting ready to close down as well but there is literally nothing on the shelves. The mens department is just about empty; youre golden if youre plus sized and looking for shirts but thats about it. No robes, slippers, sleepwear; just 3x and up in dress shirts, tees, and coats. Last year I hit Sears, I managed to get a great amount of stuff for a guy friend, at a really low cost. That store is barren right now. I asked the girl at the register if they were closing down and she said she didnt think so... Kinda looks that way to me. I asked if they would be getting any merchandise in before Christmas and she was unsure. The reason I gave one star is because there is barely anything there to buy; the mens section is almost totally empty. Really sad that the 1 Sears thats left, is in such a dismal state.That mall is awful and Sears is one of the few stores left in the Newburgh mall thats actually open.... For now😕

2022-05-19I have a tractor I bought from sears and I needed a few parts to repair it. They no longer have lawn mowers or parts for them.

2022-04-08Clearance all over the store. Very little to choose as far as variety is concerned. Stock up on winter tights now.
