Go in the morning, take your photos and make your videos without fear of being happy! The place is super quiet and busy in the morning, which I believe is the ideal time for tourists. If you wait a little bit, everyone gets a nice photo. When I went (on a Thursday morning) the staircase was empty for a long time. Its worth taking the subway (its very easy to go for those staying near Times Square) and then go to Yankees Stadium, theres a really cool store with the iconic caps at a very affordable price, even cheaper. than in Manhattan (I found a mens cap at $17.90, and in Manhattan I didnt see it for less than $25). Theres a MacDonalds nearby too if you go early and want a coffee.
Nice tourist attraction, the Joker stairway, i visited it in 2020 and did it on foot up and down. There were other people even taking their photos doing a dance or wearing the Joker mask. It is not difficult to find the place, the metro is just around the corner. The Bronx is also beautiful.
The staircase is easily found coming from the Yankee Stadium or from stop 167 of the subway line 4. Thus, you arrive at the bottom. Both the stairs and the area are clean and it is a pleasant walk. The staircase itself has nothing more than the fact of having appeared in the Joker movie. The premises in front of it are closed. They could take advantage and put up a souvenir stall...Very close there is a supermarket where you can buy something to drink, etc.
Iconic place for “Joker” to visit if you go to the Bronx. It is easily reached by crossing The High Bridge or taking the subway (in both cases you will have to walk about 10 blocks at the most)Climbing the ladder is really a challenge but it also adds to the experience.

2022-06-14When i was here, some lady was walking down the steps with her daughter. She was telling her about how much she hates the Bronx and that she truly wants the best for her daughter and that she needs to escape this part of the city and make a better life for herself. As if on cue, immediately after she said this, a glass bottle was thrown from a fire escape a couple of stories above and nearly hit her and her daughter. She just shrugged it off, said You see? and kept walking down the steps.

2022-02-10They are cool, and the surrounding architecture is very cool. Only about a 1 minute walk from the 167th street 4 stop

2022-05-17Down the street from my father inlaws. House needs some TLC. Some. Trash on the stairs and along side of it. Some people. Tagged it with spray cans also. Would be nice to see some. Murals or some art aside from gang names and tags

2021-09-03Normal stairs that has been hyped up because of the Movie - Joker. (I dont know if theres any historical significance to this stairs) but besides the movie reference - found nothing to be standing out. Go on a Game day at Yankees - wouldnt be crowded at all.
