My friend and I went last weekend and it was closed due to the 4th of July holiday, so went there today and totally worth going again. The food and the service was great, especially the pancakes! Absolutely delicious!! The server/bartender was really sweet, the whole staff were very friendly, and the restaurant gave a nice homely vibe. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone and will visit it again.
Probably one of the best brunch/breakfast places around. Eggs Benedict is something special, not to mention their toast and specialty French toasts and pancakes. Great cocktails and fair prices. Server Dana was on point and made for a enjoyable time. Get there early its a little small and fills up quick.
We went to try the place out after all the hype and this is probably the most a place has lived up to it. I got a western breakfast sandwich and the bread was incredible. The French toast was amazing as well. I Would say this is my top breakfast food in Buffalo. We had to wait 40 min but it was worth waitung double that. Especially since they have a bunch of chairs to wait in.
We are visiting Buffalo for the first time and found this little gem on Google. Food and service was fantastic. Breakfast sandwiches, waffles, and eggs with kielbasa were delicious and we wanted to return Monday, but they were closed even though hours said there were open so we were bummed. They are open Sunday even though Google says they are closed.
Outstanding service! Friendly staff & welcoming presence in the restaurant. Home made cabbage rolls (ordered upon recommendation from my server) were DELICIOUS. Award winning Bloody Marys lived up to their hype, too. Will certainly be returning anytime in back in town!!
Featured in Guys Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives show on the Food Network, Sophias is a quaint little diner in Kenmore (northwest) part of Buffalo. The restaurant is quite small and the kitchen is always busy during open hours serving a constant flow of customers. Definitely lives up to the reputation from TV. Our favorite item from the menu is definitely the giambotta, which is a giant scramble of sausage, peppers, onions, potatoes, eggs, and whatever else delicious. Portions are generous, price is affordable, and service is friendly. The parking lot is tight, but theres plenty of street parking if you dont might a slight walk.
Arrived late around 2:15, but the staff was still very friendly and glad to serve us. They close at 3pm. Krissy, our waitress, was patient with us while we decided on our selection and gave us a few recommendations. I had the turkey, bacon, cheddar with cranberry mayo and it was tasty. My daughter has the breakfast sandwich and we all decided that was the best choice... it was delicious. My wife had the Open Slovaki (sp?) Greek salad and it was excellent ... and huge. The coffee was very good too. Definitely worth a stop, especially if your on the way to Niagara Falls as it’s only about 10 min off the normal route.
You wouldnt know it by the outside, but the packed small parking lot should give it away that this place is a must visit! While its known for its bloody marys, everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I especially enjoyed the apple cinnamon walnut french toast! I cant comment on the lunch menu items but I guess Ill just have to go back! Warm, friendly, inviting atmosphere. Attentive staff. Interesting and modern decor.
Everything was excellent! There was a bit of a wait and we ended up sitting outside, but everything was still delicious. My boyfriend and I both got spiked coffees to warm up and breakfast skillets which were hot and larger than we expected! I forgot to ask if they had cider mimosas (they did) but the service was great! I also loved that they called/texted when a table was available so you could wait in your car.
Very long wait for breakfast on a Saturday morning, which I didnt mind. One Waitress on three different occasion was walking around with a Starbucks cup dining from it. Two different employees were arguing about what a customer had ordered. The place where they clean the food off the plates is in the middle of the restaurant and its very disgusting. The food is very good but I dont think I would ever return.
It was delicious. First time here and I love it. I went with the reviews as I do most of the time. From the moment you enter, they greet you. The service was to the point along with the food. It was tasty and cooked just the way I like it. I highly recommend this place for breakfast/ brunch
Friendly, fun, and fantastic food! This local hot spot is worth the hype. The staff was friendly, the food selection was expansive, and you could tell by the atmosphere that everyone there was happy and having a great time. We got 2 breakfast sandwiches and a full stack to share and was perfect. And you just cant beat their prices. If you find yourself in Buffalo, definitely stop in!
First time to Buffalo and I was looking for a homemade breakfast joint and I found it. A short drive from downtown and tucked away was this cozy little restaurant. Sitting at the bar, youre in full view of the griddle and the cooks making your food. No secrets here. The service had that family feel to it and Stephanie exemplified that. Not going to lie, I pick breakfast places bases on pictures of their potatoes and this place caught my eye. The home style potatoes are tucked nicely in this dish, but played a key role in this amazing dish overall. What I ordered: Giambotta... Not sure what it means, but its a skillet with Italian sausage (I substituted kielbasa), sweet & spicy peppers, onions, garlic, home style potatoes and two jumbo eggs (I got mine over medium). I also added pepper jack cheese. Not lying when I say this is one of the best skillets Ive ever had. One thing I will note, those eggs were huge and two was a little much for me. I would have been good with just one.(Not pictured: their homemade bread toast - GET IT)
I had the best experience of my life at this restaurant. The customer service was to beyond excellent. The server Stephanie at the bar today was truly knowledgeable and helpful with explaining the menu I truly appreciate her. Great food I had the French toast with banana listen to me it was the best French toast ever.
Do you really need a description about how amazing this place is? Featured on DDD, the wait tells you its worth it, and if you sit at the bar you get the full show. These are grill masters and professional servers! The food quality is top notch. Thank you! Cant wait to visit again.
I normally dont sit in the booth and add my review but this restaurant definitely deserves it. My husband and I were here for a short weekend and looked for diners and this came up. The coffee was amazing! The server Stephanie was the best I have ever had and the food was top notch. I would plan a trip back to Buffalo just to eat here again.
I would say besides any mask mandate policy I blame the governor for that . This mom and pop breakfast place was absolutely a gem . Great food , nice alcohol selection , extremely friendly and nice portion sizes . Very affordable and a nice menu layout . I would come again. So this is worth the stars despite that one nic pic ,and it is tiny sometimes packed. So come early if you can ,parking can be a but difficult take that in mind. And you can call in advance for large parties to avoid wait times . But primarily only breakfast and lunch really zero complaints .
Found this place at least 6 years back now and Everytime I go it gets better! Everything they make is worth trying and this last time I went a companion got a Raspberry Mimosa and, she said it was fantastic. I absolutely recommend you try it, Breakfast (French Toast is a must), great sandwiches & wraps for Lunch and, so much more. This place is a sure thing for a good meal and theres always something that will speak to you but, you should really check it out for yourself.
The wait was worth it… we’re coming from Jersey with some family from out of the country and decided to stop here for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and even though the wait for the food was a little long, it was delicious! Two people in my party ordered a burger and they said it was one of the best burgers they have ever had. Omelette, Eggs Benedict, and the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes were incredible. I would 100% come back here again!
Everything was perfect great service loved our twin waitrises I thought I was seeing double and I was 👭reserched where to go for a delicious breakfast and found this treasure we traveled from Reno Nevada and my father is from Kansas City but it was worth the 1,000 mile drive while visiting Buffalo Sophias resturant is two👍👍 thanks everyone at Sophias you guys made our trip fun and memorable 👏☝n delicious 😋
Wait was a little longer than what I expected but I heard theres a wait been there in the past at different location but man that food was good I dont see anybody having an issue there now strike me like any place to play favorites wish night life would get back together to see how it looks in on the weekends go youll be satisfied
Cute little restaurant with nice staff, great prices and delicious food. I got the Mama’s Homemade Bread French Toast and added chocolate chips. I know it’s hard to mess up French toast, but the bread alone made this an unforgettable rendition. My wife got the Gyro Souvlaki breakfast plate. As someone who usually doesn’t like eggs, she raved about how good these are, and the souvlaki meat was so tender, juicy and uniquely seasoned. Will definitely come back should I ever find myself back in Buffalo.
This is the first time I have ever been to Sophias, and it will definitely not be the last. I was very impressed by the selection of dishes. I had a breakfast skillet which was unbelievable and was enough for three meals for me. I will be going again and again and again.
So far anytime I have tried to go here the phone is never answered by anyone. The hours are never correct on the website. So multiple times I have driven here and Im a half hour away and it is closed with a handmade sign put up. Usually if there is a holiday it is closed that day, the day before and then the whole weekend. There is never a voicemail stating their hours of operation or if they are closed. Living up to being a Dive for sure. Super frustrating
There was a bit of a wait, but we got the call about 20 minutes later, which is fine..its Saturday, i get it. This place was great and super fast. We sat at the bar and talked with the bartender a bit, very nice girl. the chef was great, gave us a plate of potatoes on the house too! I will definitely be back when im in town.
One of the best breakfast places in Buffalo. All of my friends and family recommend this place and its for a great reason. The menu is really cheap and great prices for the amazing food you get. The staff is always super nice and love helping out however they can. The facilities has always been clean and inviting to any newcomers. The place does get busy on weekends so prepare for a little but of a wait.
The parking lot was packed, always a great sign. The inside is smaller but the staff kept it moving and was so friendly. We had breakfast, it was served fast and hot and delicious. Even with being so crowded and people waiting for seats the staff never missed a beat, there were always checking on us and refilling cups and was as sweet as could be. What we noticed is everyone got along and helped each other out. If an order was ready and the waiter/waitress was not someone grabbed it and it got served, even the hostess would deliver meals and fill cups. I would recommend this place over and over!
We sat at the bar, great spot because we got to watch the cooks and the bartender make all the fun drinks they serve.Alice was a gem, so friendly and polite. She made us feel like regulars. Even met Sophia and she was like my grandma I wanted to take her home (sweetest lady). The food was hot, fresh and over to be expected with flavor. Can not wait to go back and order something new.
WORTH THE WAIT! This quaint place has exquisite food so its sure to be packed but a 25-30min wait is definitely worth it. Theres a heated patio while you wait, courtesy of the restaurant. My friend & I were served by Sophia while dining. She was very professional, kind and was able to provide suggestions of must see places as Im visiting from MO. The Bloody Marys are absolutely superb. I can see why theyre said to have the best! The staff are friendly and we will for sure be returning. I highly recommend this place as a must visit while in Buffalo!
My first time there we had to wait outside on the deck for 20 minutes for a table! Now I definitely understand why! The food and atmosphere are amazing!!! We sat at the bar so we were able to see right into the kitchen! The teamwork in there is as amazing as the food! The service was wonderful! My only regret is that there is no way to give them more than 5 stars!!!!!
In short: solid staff, great menu, quick service, community atmosphere. I reserve 5 star ratings for my personal ultimate experience. Staff was quick to greet us. They were so friendly that three separate wait staff asked if we were alright before our original sever could bring us our cider. It certainly has a homey vibe. So homey that we ordered more than we should have— big portions at fair prices and such great service? I dont regret it. I do not regret it. Go here. You may have a 15-20 mins wait but, its worthwhile. I would suggest arriving around 8AM and come hungry. Would have posted a pic of meal but, it was half gone before I realized. The home fries were not cut finely enough so it felt like eating a potato but, a really good breakfast potato.

Astounding service and atmosphere. We werent without our cups full and kind conversation from the staff at Sophias. While the wait was equivalent to any other good restaurant, the food was much more worth the wait, and if you could get the rice pudding, it is amazing! Fresh home made bread with delectable food, it is the place to go!
Ate at Sophias on a recent visit to Buffalo and absolutely loved it so much we came back two more times. The staff is so welcoming and the food is great. Parking can be a challenge and you might find it busy but it is absolutely worth the wait. I would be a regular for sure if I lived here. Thank you Sophia!
Nice little place to have breakfast! We ordered eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, pancakes and were beyond full. The toast wasnt with bread you would buy in a store. You can tell it was homemade! My husband and I were very satisfied! We will definitely visit again when we come back to Buffalo!
We waited about 30 min on an enclosed porch near a smoker that had mold growing in it. Nearby was a coffee station for people waiting. The coffee was gone. Once inside, the wait staff was great, the food was hot, good, and didnt take long. The price was reasonable. If youre looking for fancy, this aint it, but Ill be back. After arriving twice to this place on the days they just so happen to be closed, I was pleased to have a fantastic experience on both of my recent visits. Id heard that the food is wonderful, but the serviced is rushed. Its not the largest place, so I was told on several occasions by others that after youre done they rush you out the door to free up a table. Well, I didnt have that experience. There was a wait each time I went, but it wasnt too bad and after 10-15 minutes were seated. Each of our servers were pleasant and attentive. I went with a friend on each visit. First, sitting in the main dining area, and second time at the bar area. The food is on point! Pancakes large and tasty, not large and floury...if you know what I mean. The eggs and sausage were also very good. And the prices!!! Thank you Jesus for a breakfast spot that is has great food, great service, and doesnt break the bank. Will definitely be back!
Sophias is a unique place that never disappoints. Wait times for a table are sometimes a bit much but well worth that wait. Menu has a wide selection of lunch and breakfast items. This time had the honor of our orders being taken by Sophia herself. Try the rice pudding for dessert, its awesome.
Came on a Sunday morning so there was a bit of a wait but once we were seated our waitress got our orders in and they came back in a timely manner and were delicious! They have a great menu of different breakfast dishes as well as a whole slew of breakfast beverages (virgin and non). Theyre fall sangria was incredible! Will definitely return!
Sophia’s is my very favorite breakfast place in Buffalo, however their lunch items are also amazing. I love their white Reuben....REAL turkey, on HOMEMADE bread. They also have a wonderful souvlaki. My husband is addicted to their bloody Mary’s. We desperately miss going there as a family. We’ve been dining there since my son was a newborn and the staff all watched him become a toddler. They’ve made us feel like family each time we come in. I wish them the best during this hard time, as they decided to close for two weeks. When this is all over my family cannot wait to go back!
I regularly give five star reviews, but that doesnt diminish the fact that Sophias is a cut above. Anything on the menu is good but my favorite is a skillet with gyro meat, basically a big pile of breakfast. It tastes good and is worth the wait, which while lengthy flies by with the abundant diner coffee
I visited Sophias a few weeks ago for the first time and liked it. I was able to grab a seat at the counter as the restaurant was very busy and there were about 10 people waiting for a table...this was a Friday morning. Western Omelette was very large and tasty, the homemade bread is excellent - home fries were just okay. They were actually bland and need some seasoning. Service was good and you have to love a counter that also serves as a bar...at 10am there were a few customers at the counter doing shots of Crown Royal after the breakfast!!!
Unassuming small restaurant, good food, friendly service. Seems like mostly locals, we were traveling by and its rating was well deserved. We tried 3 different omlettes in our group, all were good. Process were reasonable and service was quick even though they were busy. There was a wait as we got there at their peak hour.
Sophias is the best. Excellent staff and just as good food. Place is updated and has a modern feel to it. nice open waiting area outside for summer time and they enclose it with heat in the winter. It is OPEN on Mondays despite what some websites say. Try this place out you will not be disappointed.
Two of us came here on a Saturday around 8:30am and were able to get a table upon walking in, which I thought was very lucky after hearing how busy this place gets! The table was a little small but it was just fine for the two of us. Immediately, we were handed menus and a couple cups of coffee to sip while perusing the menu and made sure our cups were never empty.
Its a small place very local is you want a local feel. Apparently the food Network was there which is cool. My husband thought thats why the food was kind of expensive but I thought it was very reasonably priced. He had the Skillet and OMG amazing. He couldnt eat it all because there was too much. I had the small plate with chocolate chip pancakes and they tasted just like I expected them too. Definitely going back here the next time we are in Buffalo.
I wasnt as impressed as everyone seems to be. When I arrived on a Saturday morning, there were plenty of tables open, but they told me to sit at the bar because I was alone. It was busier by the time I left, but in the meantime they were seating others at tables who were just there for drinks. Shouldnt they be the ones seated at the bar? The bartender was great and very helpful, but the food was pretty standard fare. I wouldnt go back.
In town visiting for a Sabres’ game and I looked for the best breakfast in town. Sophia’s consistently rose to the top. And for good reason! It’s a cozy little diner feeling with a small bar. Sophia herself waited on us and went above and beyond my expectations!I had the polish sausage skillet, with chocolate chip pancakes. My brother got the polish sausage breakfast with apple cinnamon French toast. Possibly our favorite breakfast meals. Period.Sophia’s is well priced, friendly, fast, and more than worth our time. If you get the chance to check it you, you will NOT be sorry!!
The kielbasa on my plate was scrumptious. We dont get excellent sausage like this in California. My daughter loved her breakfast. The Bloody Marys were flowing from the bar. They all looked soooo good. I wish I could have had one, but I had a full day of sightseeing ahead and didnt want to risk it.
When we arrived it was noon so it was busy. There was a wait about 10-15 min. The service was quick and efficient. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was good I had a chicken soulvaki wrap. It was wrapped in a tortilla shell, I think it would have been better if wrapped in a pita. The sandwich had a great flavor
Pancakes were great (banana walnut). Coffee was good too. Next time Ill try a cocktail and let you guys know how it was. Prices are reasonable as well. Getting a seat wasnt bad, they dont have a huge place and theres usually a wait (I hear) but we sat down within 15 minutes of arriving. Staff was friendly and above average. Ill probably be going here above Bettys as my preferred spot - not until after I try more of the menu to be sure though!
This was some of the best breakfast food and probably the best mimosas Ive had to date. However I was turned off when I checked my account after paying with a card to find they had charged my card twice. Mistakes happen, I like to give people the opportunity to make things right but they have not answered their phone once during business hours and I had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back...
I use to love this place because they had the BEST corned beef hash ever!!! I hadnt been here in almost a year and was sad to find out they are using the same canned hash as every breakfast joint around.... the toast is still great and the eggs cooked to perfection Im just disappointed they decided to take the easy more profitable route.... come on Sophias!!! Get back to being amazing!!!
Went to this place because we heard great things about it. Once we got to the door we were told that it would be a 20 minute wait (which was 0 problem) not 5 minutes later another couple shows up and is seated right away. We asked the greeter if they had a reservation and she said no. We just decided to leave because it was clear why we had to wait and the other couple seated. I dont recommend this place if you arent a caucasian.
The place is always crowded. The hours of operations are very constrained very limited. This space designated to wait to be call to be seated is outside. Counting days were are a little bit chilly or cold you will freeze. Today although it was not reigning Norris knowing it was a chilly morning. And if you did not have a jacket you were in trouble. The food is delicious and the coffee is extraordinary good. You could be forgotten for the coffee refill. But everybody seems to be very helpful when you need something.
Great first experience. Although wait time for Sunday brunch turned into lunch. Even the wait was fun. Plenty of seating to wait and coffee and drinks available. Seating in the restaurant is comfy and spacious. We noticed omletes were huge so we shared Sophias #2 and had her homemade bread which was delicious. We also had a very fresh Greek salad.
The food was delicious... I ordered the Gyros and eggs plate that came with country potatoes and fresh homemade bread. The portions were - plenty - and their tzatziki sauce tasted great... It wasnt too thick or runny - it was perfect and the flavor paired well with the gyros. The place is actually not that large- so be prepared to either wait or plan in advance... Other than that - the staff were extremely friendly- and made the experience a great one. If youre in Buffalo and are looking for breakfast --- this place wont disappoint.
I always love going to Sophias. I got the homemade bread French Toast and they were so delicious. My son got the Chocolate Chip Waffle and it was huge and cover with yummy chocolate chips, he adored them. Last my daughter got the Bagel and it was crisp, warm and lovely. Thanks Sophias we were so happy with our visit and food!
Fantastic. We went on a cold day so waiting on the front porch was a bit chilly but well worth the wait. The banana cinnamon walnut french toast gets an A+. Generous portion sizes and good prices, this is a must-try. Get there early because the restaurant fills up quickly.
I cant say anything that hasnt been said already about how good this place is ...We are from Mississauga Ont. came over for a shopping day but wanted to reflect my visit to Sophias. We chatted with a couple at the table next to us, they were from Buffalo and that was a regular spot for them. They told us how great the place and the food were and they were not wrong. Long story short unannounced to us they ended up buying our breakfast for us (4 of us) and we thought that was the greatest thing in the world. People in Buffalo are great and I have always said that.
Absolutely fantastic food at great prices. This place is so great to go to, that I refuse to remove any stars for its cons. Those being: they have strange hours, closing very early; and there always seems to be a wait! The food and the service is so great that Im convinced they could shoot me in the foot each time I eat here and I would still come back.
Best secret in buffalo. The staff are lovely, the food portions are big and all for a nice price. The food quality is legendary. My only problem is that sometimes they run out of thick cut pepperoni for my favorite omelette; the I love Buffalo. Other than that its perfect. A hidden rough gem!
The decor is one of a kind. The atmosphere is perfect for there niche and theme. If you are looking for a local spot with patriots and police this is the spot for you. All there food is decent and priced well. There drinks are also cheap. It is a great hang out spot. I would go back.
One of Buffalos best breakfast spots. Now serving dinner as well. It has a very upscale diner feel, but without being pretentious or the need to wear your Sunday best. Staff is extremely friendly and makes sitting down for a meal a pleasure. The homemade bread is a staple and should be had with any meal.
Honestly probably my favorite restaurant in Buffalo. Everything a-z is great. The staff is always really nice and responsive, the food is consistently delicious, the price point is right in my range. Not to mention their drinks are incredible. Hands down best bloody mary Ive gotten, and their mimosas are not only delicious but also big! My husband loves the brunch burger and we really like that all the burgers are the same price and that theyll cook them to your preference. I LOVE their souvlaki too. Im just saying, theres a reason theres usually a wait there and it is completely worth it.
Not gonna lie we ate there once and it was really good. But what angers me is your website. Went there yesterday because it said they were open people were standing outside but they were closed. So then my sister is in town I thought we would go today just called closed even though on the door it says open. Went on the website and it says open Tuesday through Sunday but yesterday they were closed very confusing. As much as the food is great will never go there again! Fix the hours on your doors fix the hours on your website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to be more professional!
We found this place a few years ago and had a delicious breakfast but couldnt remember the name or location. Luckily we stumbled upon it again today by chance and we are sooooo glad we did! The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. I posted pictures of the gluttony that happened here. We will definitely be back! BTW prepare for a 30 min wait if you come at lunchtime on Saturdays.
I love Sophias and am glad to be in the know about them and their delicious Bloody Marys! After what felt like a lifetime of raving about Sophias to my boyfriend, we finally went together recently and he too was very pleased. He ordered an egg, bacon and pancake breakfast & I ordered the Buffalo Omelette
Accidentally went the morning after the Bills played in Monday night football. They killed it. We got a seat at the bar, had our food cooked exactly how we wanted it and in our faces crazy fast. Then the cook came by and asked how everything was, after we watched him bang out an obscene amount of orders.Love this place.
I popped in for lunch and got seated right away I lucked up because it never happens that way there is always a wait. Sophia served us and she is the nicest lady ever. I waited for a long time to get a to go container & I had to ask for the check and the waitress act like I was bothering her both times when I made the request which is why I gave 4 starts instead of 5.
Me and my hubby enjoyed the breakfast we had here . french toast made with #Homemade bread ,apple cinnamon walnut..the home fries was my favorite...the food was good , food came out fast and hot.Things i wasnt keen on....parking sucked but they cant do anything about that..there was a wait, which wasnt bad because its a popular place.the waiter could have been more accommodating.the syrup was to watered down which sucks for the french toast......... otherwise 4stars.if you are in the area and want some good food.go here
My wife and I made a trip to Buffalo in February and visited this place for breakfast. After searching Google for places that locals love, we found this place. We knew we were in for a treat when there was a wait at 10:30am on a Friday. Once inside we were seated at the counter where Sophia herself was taking care of us. Upon hearing that we were from Texas, Sophia and other guests at the counter were very gracious and welcoming. The atmosphere was superb and the food was a delight. There is a reason why Sophias has been a Buffalo institution for over 30 years. If you find yourself in and around the Buffalo/Niagara area, do yourself a favor and visit Sophias. Its Texas approved.😎
Yes its small, yes youll wait most days, especially on weekends, but it is Soooo worth it. If the relocates for a bigger place... Thered still be lines and prices would go up, so enjoy these plentiful, excellent meals once you get seated. I go here every time I hit Buffalo... But I can walk from my moms house!

2022-02-06Went there 5 minutes to noon on a Tuesday, thinking that was a good idea... Boy was I wrong. The 4 of us had to wait outside in the cold for 20 minutes. After being seated the very friendly server came over quickly and took our drink orders and shortly thereafter our food orders. I personally got the Steakhouse Burger and was pleasantly surprised that I could get Home fries as the side. The food came out quickly and without hesitation I began to dig in. Starting with a large bite into the scrumptious burger, hot and juicy, exploding with flavor. Out of 10 this thing gets nothing short of a 8.4. Next was home fries, nice and crispy, just the way I like em. Home fries getting a 7.3, Im not sure if I could have added peppers and onions, but if I would have I think that number would have shot up to a 8.8 out of 10. The pickle was good, fresh and juicy getting a 6.1 out of 10.I did not visit the restrooms or anywhere else except the table and dont remember how the atmosphere and cleanliness was because I was too busy stuffing my face. I would say the service we received was a 8.8 out of 10, always having full drinks. We will definitely be going back. Please keep up the good work!

2022-04-10Love the breakfast skillets here. Always a good size portion and yummy. Highly recommend their homemade toast. Only complaint is that they are often so busy they dont answer the phone, so for takeout, youre best walking in and placing the order in person than trying to call it in.

2022-05-08Went for breakfast to check this place out because I’ve been to the brothers restaurant, Nick’s place and I wanted to see how they compared. I ordered the New Standard ($8.5) which came with pancakes, eggs, sausage for me. It was came out quick and it was delicious. The service was good at the bar area and I definitely will be returning in the future.

2022-05-23I strongly suggest, you go to Sophias for your breakfast or Lunch cravings. There maybe a 20min+ wait time, but it is so worth it. Looking over their menu you will come to realize, there is something for everyone. You have your salads, breakfast dishes, burgers, and many other sandwiches to choose from. The place isnt really that big, but you still have plenty of comfortable room. Will be back, again and againBlueberry pancakes- delicious and full of fresh blueberriesOmlette- South buffalo full of filling and really goodToast- Enjoyed the crispiness but chewiness of the buttered toast

2022-06-04Must have when in buffalo! The homemade bread is absolutely amazing! I had the cinnamon apple walnut pancakes and the skillet with Italian sausage. The skillet was definitely my favorite!

2022-06-17With the cool summer breeze charged with the restaurant’s air conditioning door opening as its patrons enter and exit, the good eats scents only escape to tease you at your seat while waiting to be called to your open table. The Bloody Sunday arrives, topped with a perfectly chard crisp bacon 🥓 and dunked with a martini olive. King Benedict on homemade Italian bread 🍞, the guards are prepared for the holidays. Off the beaten path, Sophia knocked it out!

2022-06-21Bright lights, the oven is hot and a full staff hustling in the back! The action is happening, La Nova making plenty of noise slowly pushing it all out. Wings fried and then chard, combining the best of both wing worlds. Sesame seed, old world oven crust , cheese stringing like a spider’s web.

2022-02-12Had a taste for blueberry pancakes, and there arent many places that can go head to head with Sophias. Sophiass chicken in the grass omelet is very good with fresh tomatoes. Doesnt hurt that the bar is open early morning with a fine selection of nippitates.

2022-03-15First time visiting Sophia’s. Had never even heard of this little Gem❤️ Food was great! Service was excellent and the wait was a little longer than expected but after being served…didn’t mind. Had French toast, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and bacon!! Oh and don’t forget the strawberry mimosas!! And as you can see I forgot to take the picture first LOL!!

2021-10-30Absolutely amazing! I see why they say Sophia’s has the best pancakes in Buffalo. I opted to sit at the bar and have breakfast and Allison was the best server EVER! She was kind and sweet to everyone who walked in, she gave great recommendations and was so attentive to everyone’s order around her. Thank you so much Sophia’s can’t wait until next time!
