So a group of us were looking for a place to grab a drink after an event and stumbled upon Spotlight, and man, was this a gem. Snacks, art, booze, a wacky bathroom. Im here for it.Atmosphere: this spot is art gallery meets bar. You can write on the chairs, theres a huge canvas you can draw on. They have coloring books, Etch A Sketches, a bathroom that has a mirror image of itself on the ceiling (trust me, use the bathroom). The bar was super interactive, I had a blast poking around every bit of the place.Drinks: they had a great selection of beers on tap (lots of locals, gold star!), tons of liquors too. A little bummed they didnt have a cocktail menu, but hey, the spots brand new.Food: so they dont serve proper food (although they have a take-in binder for places that deliver) but they do have A SNACK WALL. You heard me. A snack wall. Today they had peanut M&Ms, cheese balls, popcorn, goldfish, cheez-its, guys I was amped.Staff: guys, they were super sweet. It was a slow night (a Tuesday) so we got to chat with the staff and they were so nice and excited to see what this space would become.Overall Impression: This place was just fun. Come in and color, play with the sequins wall, draw on the chairs, eat cheese balls. But definitely, make sure you use the bathroom.

I used to spend a lot of time and money at Spotlight, but will not go there again. Before it was a requirement by the state government, or required by any of the excellent restaurants and bars on the same block as Spotlight, they put a sign on their door and their website (see photo) requiring a vaccine passport. I am not open to letting a bar make health decisions for me, or leave it to a food vendor to check if I had my latest booster.Let me be clear, this was a voluntary action by Spotlight to make this requirement. It was not inflicted on them. This was solely the decision of ownershipIf I am notified that this policy has been permanently retracted, I will remove this review. But I wont go back to Spotlight.

Drinks were good but service was terrible. Waited half an hour at a table for our hostess to then move us to another because no one was taking our order. Finally get our order in and waited another half hour for them. Waitress never came to see if we wanted another drink or anything. We went to the bar and paid and left. Place was dead on a Sunday and wasn’t busy.

We had the most delicious food & best drinks!! We had the most wonderful time!! Waitress was terrific & owners were amazing & welcoming!! We’ll be back next week! Our new favorite place!

Hello,Hoping someone can help provide assistance.I did not recieve a response via emailI was asked to leave my friends birthday concertat about 8:30pm. There were family and friends gathered.Lastnight i was at the bar gathering waters to bring to the table in the back concert space. The evening was going great. My friend arrived during this moment.During out greetings of Hello , From the far corner of the the restaurant bar space. We see a man storming at us, out of breath he than asks my friend who is 29 years old for her identification.Fairly enough she complys and searches her bag for her ID. Unfortunately she can not find it. She had a picture on her phone, but that did not satisfy the security guards request.I than asked if she doesnt drink, its 8:30pm, and there are children in the back room, will she need id than. His response was Yes she does, she cant be here. I expressed the importance that it was my friends birthday and its a family event. He would not let her in. I kept asking why if there were children back there why is she not allowed.I took this offensively as i felt this was not fair and than asked for him to get a manager.They came back the security guard and manager. As there was music in the background i went to explain to the manager of the discrimination we were experiencing.His said since “i am raising my voice” now we have to leave. What culture does this represent that a patron explains to the manager that his employee was not following correct rules.If its 8:30 and there are currently children already in there what is the basis for a 29 year old female who wasnt drinking from enjoying food and our friends music?What was a beautiful night turned for the worst. We than left and missed the experience.

Such an awesome new bar. Only been there twice. First time was great a lot of cool stuff... check out the bathroom!!!!Second time I am honestly scared. They decorated for Halloween like crazy. Very scary. Even hired actors to dress up and kinda scare you as they walk around. A lil much lol. Overall tho its cool place.

Very disappointed with the customer service we came in the first time looking for some outdoor seats they sent us in the back by ourself ( which I said ok np it’s busy and maybe we can switch seats later ) then the waiter came up to us to order drinks and that’s the last time I ever saw anyone they cameBack with the drinks after like 25 mins and it wasn’t even that crowded nor short staffed we we never checked up on period I got a seating inside of the actual bar after and had to wait ten minutes for someone to wipe the tableAfter I asked twice still no one checked on us after , we dealt with atleast 3 different ppl within getting drinks as food and waited moreThan 10 mins for the bill because one of the girl who served us the first time don’t know “who has the bill” then a 4 th person came in and charged it ... total chaos , dissatisfaction and disorganized there , won’t recommend anyone to that place period especially in that upscale area , go somewhere else with better customer service .P.s we still left a couple dollars tip altho it wasn’t worth putting sadly ..
