I’ve been attempting to contact this property because i’m going to college next month. i’ve successfully contacted them once about an apartment i was interested in which got rented out a little after the phone call and nothing was heard. i’ll keep looking unfortunately...
Never received my security deposit back nor the deposition letter even after the 30 days, do not rent from these people.
They were were very nice and professional. Very knowledgeable and helpful to what I wanted. I would definitely recommend them.

AWESOME
Helping a friend supposedly move into a property managed by Sterling. They continually refused to answer the phone or return calls. They lied about progress on the work that was to be completed. Took the rent money abd gave keus to a tenant arriving from out of state, knowing there are no faucets or spigot connected to the bathtub, no smoke detectors, holes in the floors where grates should be, windows that dont even close.Prospective tenants BEWARE of these frauds.

2020-08-11As an owner, Sterling Property Management has done an excellent job vetting tenants, getting them moved in, and meeting their needs thereafter. If any problems arise, they fix them promptly. The systems and processes they have in place are all-around convenient and easy to use. I know tenants can put in work orders and even pay rent using the app. Modern technology being used definitely makes things easier for everyone involved. I live over 1600 miles away and am confident our properties and our tenants are in great hands!

2021-06-04As a new subcontractor for Sterling, Ive seen great effort from the management team in investing into and updating their properties. Both the owner and Mechanical Foreman have been very interactive in my needs and have made installs run smoothly. I am looking forward to a long and prosperous future with Sterling.

2021-12-06The most incompetent realtors Ive ever had the misfortune of working with and thats just the tip of the iceberg. Dilapidated housing, incompetent repairs, inability to cash rent checks. They were recently fired by the property owners in Elmira for their mishandling of the properties they own as of 12/1/2021.

2021-06-04I’ve had a couple horrible Experiences with other company’s but Sterling is Hassle free. Also staff are great to work with! I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else, also I might add it was so hard to pay my last landlord But now I can pull up an app on my phone and just pay. Super convenient!!

2020-08-11Working with Sterling Property Management was a breath of fresh air. I was starting a massive renovation on a two unit, when I called on Shaun and the team for some assistance. The organization, experience and synergy of the team allowed my project to get done in one day what would have taken me weeks. Would highly recommend calling on them early on in any real estate capacity to get started off on the right foot and finish the right way!

2020-08-08I’ve already heard that Sterling Property Management screws you over, but we decided to give it a go anyway bc it’s so hard to find a place around here. And I gotta say I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. For one they had me working with one manager and then gave me to another manager that was training, which is rude, because we already had met the original agent we were working with and already had been working with us. So this new manager had to go over our information and application all over again. Mind you I have been trying to get this apartment for 2 weeks and I explained to the new agent that I didn’t have a lot of time before the baby was here so that was why we were following up with her everyday because there were other properties I could have gotten into if it hadn’t of taken them a week to tell me if was eligible or not. So if you’re a first time renter, have no credit or low credit, have more then one room mate and all together can make 8x the monthly rent then don’t even bother applying for a property with them. Unless you want to be told that your references were mostly family (even after stating that I can give her more references if she needed more) and then be told that you were basically annoying for following up with them everyday(because you were excited and thought you had a good chance, me especially, being that I thought I would finally have a home for my newborn And my search would be over). So yeah. Never again. Call me dramatic, but if you already knew I wasn’t going to get approved from the jump then why waste my time knowing that I told you I didn’t have previous rental history, and I had roommates. Maybe you should of trained your manager a bit better so that way I could of been told straight up that there was no way instead of making us feel like our search for a home was over because you “wanted to meet” us.

2020-03-17This property management company has shady business practices. We paid application fees, spoke with a representative to discuss the rental and after setting a date to do a final walk through and to sign the papers, but they showed the property behind our backs and rented it to another person without even informing us!We needed to rent for between sale and purchase of our own home and we now have nowhere to go before we lose our buyer.The idea of how this all went down is the most troubling of it all. Yes, we lost a little bit of money, but our family has been put in a difficult situation and it all could have been avoided with a conversation. Clearly customer service and respect are not high on this business’s priority list.

2020-04-23This property manager lies to get you into a place. He told me my apartment was move in ready, when I got my key I was deeply disturbed. Multiple sanitary and esthetic issues.. the place was not up to code. Hanging live wires rotten cupboards mouse poop everywhere missing doorknobs. These things were suppsed to be fixed and he didnt. Then twisted everything thing he said trying to make it out like he was doing me a courtesy. I definitely didnt care to move in earlier, I wanted a clean house. Multiple people got ahold of me after and said I dodged a bullet. Another Elmira slumlord🤮
