Absolutely the best place to go for breakfast! Very friendly waiting staff, great atmosphere but best of all amazing food! Eggs Benedict was on the menu for me and I must say, they were cooked perfectly. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked the ham was great and the hollandaise sauce was excellent.
My family tried this place before and had a good experience. However today I did not. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes. I ordered the Greek poutine, which to my surprise means french fries with Greek dressing the smallest amount of feta and chicken on top. Ive had other fusion poutine before and it feels like they just wanted to put something different on the menu. My girlfriends breakfast dish was also good. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or this is a place you have to order the right things. I will try again in the future. Just stick to the Greek staples.
First time trying and probably last. Service was good but very rushed.. Food is below par, eggs Benedict are hard to chew and home fries are so bland that youd think you are at a nursing home. Food was also served lukewarm and we had to ask for water three times. Skip this place , There are better options out there.*Edit. I try to give you advice how to improve and instead you deflect and blame the review ? Typical bad owner/manager. Fix your food. You should have better standards than just usually pretty good*2 Edit: looks like the owner deleted his little comments on my review.... Very good example for what this restaurant is about.
I brought my two boys for breakfast here today upon their request. There was no wait and had immediate service which was great. I have to add that I was looking forward to the coffee. I dont know why, but their coffee is great. Better than any of the restaurants that Ive been to lately. I ordered a Spartan Omelet and the boys ordered pancakes and a banana and Nutella crepes. Each one of our breakfasts were presented well. Such a treat! We love coming here and cant wait for our next visit.
Hidden Kenmore gem. Finally got a chance to go to eggsperience. Great. Service was great food was great and the prices reasonable. Loved the fact that they brought out waters without asking and dropped off a pitcher of coffee for the table. Avelanche french toast hit the spot
I stopped here between appointments on a random Wednesday morning and was incredibly impressed by every aspect of this business. The server (receipt said Jean) was extremely attentive in a helpful (not pushy) way, the food came out fast and was excellent and the place was clean with ambiance of efficiency. There was another solo diner, possibly also between work obligations, but also a few couples who were obviously regulars. This seems to be a fantastic place to go for a quick bite or to stay a little longer, catching up with a friend or to go with your partner as a habitual weekday breakfast spot. I would absolutely go back and noticed they had a fun drink menu that would be fun to check out.
This is our second time here (first time here was a week ago). Wow! What a great place to come for brunch after church! The food was fantastic and the service outstanding! So many things to try; my hubby had eggs/home fries/bacon with pancakes last week and I had veggie omelet with home fries. Both meals were cooked to perfection and delicious; omelet was huge. Today my hubby had the French toast with bacon and I had the ham and asparagus crepes along with fresh fruit! Wow! Both were so delicious!! We will definitely be back and we’ll tell our friends that we found a new and favorite place for breakfast.
Surge has a wide selection of breakfast entrees and a decent lunch menu. The restaurant has a Greek focus and a wide variety. The Greek breakfast was a big hit as was the Spartan omelet. Their cocktail selection is quite good too. Great place for couples or families. We will be coming back for brunch often.
First time there once seated after a 10 minute wait, waited an additional 45 minutes for our food after the order was placed . Explained that the reason for the wait was because they had to fill online orders first. The only reason we went there is because Nick‘s Place was on vacation. Wasn’t happy, it was just eggs and hash browns, Shouldn’t of took that long and it was nothing to brag about. We weren’t the only ones that were upset.
Three straight times we’ve ordered from here and the food has arrived undercooked or overcooked. Eggs Benedict is always served completely hard, and hashbrowns are undercooked or nearly raw. I’ve tried several times to give them a chance, and outside of a pretty solid breakfast sandwich, these guys can’t cook eggs or potatoes properly. Not a good look for a breakfast spot.
I called to place a to go order from work today at 12:15 and was asked if I could hold. No one ever came back to the phone. I tried calling from another phone and it was busy for over 15 minutes. I then attempted to place an order online and all three companies (Seemless, Doordash and Grubhub stated the restaurant was closed and would not allow me to place an order. The restaurant is open until 3pm. Why not just tell me you are not taking any orders and not keep me on hold. I will not be trying this restaurant due to the poor customer service.
UPDATE! The rebranded Surge Restaurant is awesome! The breakfast and lunch menu has expanded to include skillets, crepes, and a lot more. I tried the Garden Skillet and it was loaded with sauteed veggies including super tender asparagus, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli & mushrooms all on top of home fries. Eggs over easy and rye toast. It was an awesome breakfast. Plus its so cozy in there. The new Surge is just as cozy and familiar as the previous iteration with lots of tasty new additions. Im excited to go back for the Hash Benedict. And lunch. And Friday dinner.---------------I headed out to dinner with my partner and 4 year old in search of a fish fry. We were all excited to try Eggperience under new ownership for their first Friday dinner service since reopening. We came in the back entrance and were quickly seated in the center of the restaurant. Greenery, twinkle lights, and recycled exterior doors make the space cozy and provided us a little privacy, which was very welcomed by parents of an unpredictable little one [who hasnt been in a restaurant in nearly one year].Menus and drinks came quick. We were happy they have kid cups as weve noticed fewer and fewer places offer them.We played a quick round of I spy with my little eye before the food started rolling out.We started with the hummus platter. It comes with warm pita, olives and tomato slices, garnished with some greens. It was the perfect tasty bite before our mains came.My partner ordered the souvlaki platter with gyro meat. It was exactly the familiar and tasty greek fare he was looking for. He was happy with the big bed of greens and the potatoes were great, too.My kiddo ordered the chicken fingers kids meal and a lemonade. The meal comes with fries. He was happy with the plate he received (once he blew on every single fry to cool it) as well as the extra tomato slices he ordered all on his own. 🤣 We even had enough leftover to take some home for Saturdays lunch.I was mesmerized by the list of fish fry options and opted for the classic battered fish fry for my first time trying this spot. I ordered my fish fry with fries and coleslaw but opted out of the mac salad to get some extra fries for my dinner mates. The fish was crispy and delicious. A good size, too. The slaw was creamy and fresh. It was a great foray into the offical fish fry season that begins with lent next week.We followed the meal with servings of rice pudding. It was lightly sweet and creamy and topped with a little tuft of whipped cream and cinnamon. This tessert, as my son says, wrapped up our meal nicely. Our server was fun and attentive, even while she was also attending to other guests, including a large table that sat down not long after we did.Everyone in the place was extra accomodating to our very inquisitive and chatty kid. It was a really nice meal overall. This will be a great family dinner option for us on future Fridays. We stopped by the bathroom before leaving and found a cozy retreat that was kept clean.Everything was super clean and all the COVID-19 protocols were followed to a tee. Every staff person was wearing their mask properly and communicated just fine with us. They had spray sanitizer on each table. Now we have to go back and try the breakfast and lunch options. The pics of food on their new instagram look awesome.@eggsperience_delaware_ave
I was excited to try Surge after reading several good reviews. My friend and I went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were disappointed in both the service and the food. Our waitress was pleasant but rushed as she waited on us. When our breakfast arrived, my order of pork sausage links were too dry to eat and the Belgian waffle was also very dry. My friend was not impressed with his breakfast choice and was served dry white toast. Our waitress dropped off our bill before checking to see how we were enjoying our meal and left so quickly that as I attempted to speak with her about my meal she was gone. When we prepared to pay and leave I asked the waitress if she would take the sausage off the bill. She told me I should have told her sooner and said she needed to get the manager. We never saw the manager but our waitress finally went ahead and made the deduction.
So ... nice place fine menu the usual Greek breakfast and such. Eggs omelets and pancakes were great as is the greek beef breakfast meat. BUT .... the potatoes . Big fail no taste, dry and worst of all cold. Not cool.Tea and a coffee were good for the finish and ending with the Irish coffee sat well with me.Customer service well they they were very nice and Ill most likely return but if the potatoes are cold again that would be last time...worth a stop and they are new operators so maybe things are getting worked out.
Service was poor. As we saw multiple tables with larger parties get served after we had already ordered. Food arrived Luke warm to cold. We dont send food back as you know the rumors of what happens.. Our server did not bring water as she committed to when my girlfriend asked. Better when it was Eggsperience. So with so may other places we will not return.
My family and I are visiting from Chicago and exploring Buffalo for the week. The atmosphere of the restaurant is gorgeous, I wish I could say the same for the service and food. The food is mediocre, they where out of several items, and we waited 30 minutes for simple meals. Our waitress was injured and could only do half her job, while all of this was happening the manager was of no help, sitting down talking with guest instead of making sure this facility ran smoothly. I was a Sous chef for many years and a F&B manager as well. I have high expectations for a restaurant that has a rating of 4.5 stars. Im confused.
This restaurant is cozy and the ambiance is beautiful. The owner visited the tables. He was welcoming and asked how everything was. The staff was friendly. The food and desserts were delicious! I had a hot pot of coffee at my table throughout my meal. I will definitely be going back!!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTEDWe have been eating here regularly, and after today’s experience we will not be returning.Today we wanted to take my Dad & husband for nice breakfast for Father’s Day.My dad lives on his own and sometimes gets so busy he forgets to eat. We wanted him to have a hearty meal before going back to his home in Machias. We always Artie early so we can get in and out in a short time.Today we arrive a few minutes after 8am, there were a few tables already seated but not very busy yet.The owner sat us.We looked over the menu and waited a while before he took our drink order. He brought our drinks and we waited again before he came back for our food order. We place our order and waited & waited. We watched people who arrived after us get their food, eat, pay their bill and leave. Still no food.My husband had to ask server that was walking by to refill their coffee’sOur food finally arrived arrived and it was COLD!My husband didn’t eat any of his food.My dad had a few bits of his cold eggs.I had a few bites of my cold waffle.I told the owner it was cold he said I’m sorry.(He did not offer to re-heat or swap out)There were plenty of servers working. It did not appear short staffed by no means. The owner offered us a 20% discount on food that no one ate (My husbands plate was not touched at all)No one likes cold breakfast. The discount is not enough for ruining Father’s Day breakfast for my dad and husband. All I wanted was for my dad to have a nice hot breakfast before he left to go back to his farm.Total disappointment 😢
I showed up at 1:45 to eat here on a Sunday and the doors were locked. There were plenty of people in there and yet no one told us what the deal was (so we were stuck out there in the rain). A delivery driver was with us also wondering what the case was. There was an entrance on the other side of the building where they had the to go orders and they told us the kitchen closed at 1:45??? Even though they are “open” until 3 AND they’re sending out to go orders?? I really question the service here and would be mad as an owner… yikes
Love the atmosphere. Gorgeous and unique looking inside, enough space for social distancing, servers wearing masks, food great quality, did not have to wait long for table or food, leave coffee carafe on table so you dont have to wait for server, and big points for serving Pepsi products. Only negative is the chairs are a little uncomfortable, and also when they serve the toast, they have butter on the table for you to do yourself. Toast is not as warm when it comes out, so butter doesnt really melt. Havent been there since the pandemic, so Im sure theyd be amenable to do in kitchen if one requested. Overall though, great eggsperience, highly recommend, and will go back again!
Went here for breakfast a few weeks ago and was ignored pretty much the whole time, starting from waiting to be seated. Took a long time just to order, and over an hour just to get our food (which included a bagel, an omelette, eggs, and home fries). We saw other people get seated, order, and get their food before we got ours. We could hear staff apologizing to the other tables for the wait, but they never once came to check on us. One waitress bumped into us while walking through, and didnt even say anything. Seems like they dont treat all people equally here...
Back in town visiting family and wife and I thought we would give this place a try, we normally go to Panos. When we first sat down we said this may be our new favorite breakfast place. However, it took close to an hour for our food to arrive. To be fair the food was great ( even if highly priced) and today is July 5th and I know there is a labor shortage. But... if you cannot service the number of customers your restaurant can accommodate then you should remove some tables or not seat them. We will give it one more shot. If this repeats ... we never will return.
This place is the worst. The kitchen is always left dirty and there is rodents in the place. The owner is a racist and very ignorant towards workers. No breaks, low pay, and horrible management. Customers are given old spoiled food mixed with fresh food. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Went for Sunday breakfast Simply but nicely decorated room. An extensive breakfast menu with a mix of standards and more adventurous items. Food was well prepared, plentiful & tasty. The only complaint was with the rather slow service. Although the place was crowded, our food took a much longer than expected time to come and, as it was cooler than it should have been, it clearly had been waiting in the kitchen. Altogether however a good breakfast spot.
First outstanding food. Perfectly cooked. Real good tasting seasoned hash browns. Experts with eggs. In general delicious. The meal came with fruit. Very good coffee. Very friendly service. Then theres the ambiance ~ incredible! Stunning /Special. Music, varied lighting. The best of Mediterranean Europe right in Kenmore, New York. From front to back wow! Even the tables. The location is mind blowing. A walkers heaven. Plenty of parking in the back. A really special place for great meal.
We went for breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. Wasnt super busy and we got our food pretty quickly. My wife had eggs Benedict and I had a butchers choice omelette. They were both great. I had an English muffin on the side, which was also very good. My only complaint is that when cook buttered the two sides of the English muffin, they stacked one on top of the other instead of putting the buttered sides together. It gets your hand all buttery when you try to eat the one on top because there is butter on both sides of the muffin.
We recently had dinner at Eggsperience. Once again, the food was excellent,. The fish was very fresh and the portion was huge. The Greek potatoes were wonderful and so were the coleslaw and pasta salad. My husband loved the French fries. We also ordered spenokopita. It was home made and delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and efficient. She repeatedly checked on us to see if we needed anything. We look forward to our next visit at Eggsperience, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Eating at Eggsperience us always a great experience.
There is a variety of great menu selections. Ive only been here for breakfast but I promise it wont disappoint! If you order coffee you are provided with a carafe for refills. When visitors come from out of town, Vasillis is one of my top options to take them for a nice meal.
As someone with dietary restrictions I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan option; the falafel pita. Listed as having lettuce, tomato, red onion, hummus, and tahini. However when the meal arrived it was covered in feta cheese. I asked to have another made without the feta, as it wasn’t even listed as being in the dish. Then instead of making a separate dish, the feta cheese was simply scraped off so I still couldn’t eat it. To make matters worse it wasn’t our same server that brought out the “replacement”, I’m pretty sure it was the owner and I’d certainly expect better service if that’s who it was.
High priced breakfasts, awful greek potatoes, friendly wait staff but no real satisfaction in complaint resolution. Not the first time with same results after bad food. Get kitchen and staff on board with professional tasty food. Most likely, I wont be back. Too bad, cute place.
I felt discriminated against. Inattentive service and cold food. How do you attend to the table near to us four times and not even take our order? The place wasnt even busy. We had get up and seek out the waitress. This took place at the Kenmore location. I wont be going back.

2022-07-06Nice brunch spot! The pancakes were fluffy and filling and the fruit was very fresh. Eggs were cooked perfectly. There is very limited parking near the restaurant so you will need to drop off anyone in your party who can’t walk far at the door. Unfortunately they don’t have any outdoor seating. Our server wasn’t at our table much but she was always in sight as she was juggling many tables and I give her a lot of credit for making it look as easy as she did! Also no reservations needed!

2022-05-30We go for dinner every Friday. The portions are very good size, always well prepared, their Greek potatoes are the best. The staff is very friendly and the owner visits each table and gets to know his customers. Excellent quality. The breakfast is also top notch. Everything is fresh, great smoothies, fresh coffee and the mimosas are a nice touch

2021-07-31Dont bother getting brunch in Niagara! Spend the 20 minutes to drive here instead. You will not regret it! Staffs were friendly! The dishes were absolute fabulous! Greek twists to classic dishes. Must try the crepes!

2022-06-04A hidden gem tucked in between to store fronts right in the center of Kenmore’s business district. The Atmosphere is eclectic but it works. The menu is not enormous but has a great variety and offers some unique items that are difficult to find elsewhere. I would describe the food as an upscale version of diner cuisine at a very reasonable price. The ingredients were fresh, every item ordered was elevated to another level of culinary goodness. Compared to other local eateries, it’s the little things that make this place so great like providing each table their own carafe of coffee instead of having to wait for the waitress to refill your cup and the massive number of doors in that place. Where do they all go to? Something to contemplate during your meal. Overall this place was amazing and Stands out among the other restaurants in the area especially for breakfast.

2022-03-11Ive eaten here a few times now and its always been a great experience! The food, service, atmosphere and prices are all great! They also have a very diverse menu and convenient parking in the rear. I had the fish fry today and it was awesome!

2022-08-27I did a takeout order from here and really enjoyed both the items I had. I had the patty melt which came with fries and the chicken souvlaki poutine. Both are flavorful and few things can top a delicious patty melt on that rye bread. I forgot to take pictures but for being to go orders they have a nice presentation and the pick up process was really easy from a friendly staff member. A note on the interior of the place, it’s quite spacious in there and definitely looks like a nice dining environment, so I’ll have to go back and check it out in the future.

2022-08-03Friendly employees. Great setup! I like the design, I like the people. Okay now brass tacks: the excuses employees make combined with the prices of the food is an indicator of poor management. Its hard, I get it. Take your licks like a man. You cant please everyone. I mean what kind of top shelf buttermilk are you ordering to justify $15 pancakes? I asked the waitress what comes with the $15 pancakes..she says its just the pancakes. SERIOUSLY!?
