Unfortunately I had the experience of having my vehicle Towed by T&R Towing Services. I had a flat tire. They were there with in 30 minutes from the time I called my insurance company. Great Job. The driver was absolutely awesome 💯. Thanks for caring about my vehicle and professional service. You guys are Super. Keep up the excellent hard work T&R Towing.
We had a wonderful experience with this company . After being in bath New York for 10 days dealing with insurance issues they got us in and out in less then 24 hrs . Even after the parts place sent the wrong part they went and hour and a half just to get us the part we needed and get our rig finished .. all the drivers and mechanics were wonderful always smiling. Down to earth attitudes just an all around home town feel. The office clerk Mrs Louis was amazing . Definitely would use this company again if we are in the area
There was a ton of confusion with GMC Customer service but the gentleman who showed up to help from T & R Towing was honest and helpful! He was quick in plugging the tire and walked us through how to deal with GMC. Thank you very much to that man. Our whole morning ski trip was ruined, but he saved the rest of the day!
Well, I gotta hand it to David Wyre for picking up the ball and making the arrangements to get a rollback and come pick me and the van up in Wellsboro. Sometimes communications can be lost from shift to shift! I did make it back and home, but it just made a very long day!!! Thanks Dave!!! It was very muchly appreciated!!!
Our car broke down 200 miles from home on a Sunday.T&Rwas the company AAA sent to tow us.The driver was great; dropped us off at a hotel and told us they should be able to look at our car in the morning. The next day, we got attitude on the phone and were told there were several scheduled appointments ahead of us, so we walked the mile there to see if we could talk to a mechanic. They put it on the lift a while later and told us wed need an entire new real axel, which would take days and cost thousands. We decided to go elsewhere. They charged us for the estimate. We drove it about a block to Saltzmans where they immediately repaired it enough for us to get back on the road for $100 including a generous tip.
You want to be robbed go to this place.....$ 6,475.00 for a 6 mile tow, 1 hour tow they charge you 4 hours, these business should be in Americas Most Wanted. Dont call....Run from this place, they wanted to keep my truck and there is nothing you can do about it. the lady Bri she is as conniving as they come, doesnt care about anybody, pay or we keep on building the invoice. Had to pay 295.00 more just to unhook the truck from the trailer, was charged for a Roadside in the same shop. People I am an Owner operator with years in the business and I have never witnessed what happened to me. I had no control of my truck I felt like a little kid begging for Mercy and they did not cared. I just hope with this review people see it and they learned to treat human beings and not take advantage of truckers.
I believed I got ripped off to top up my transmission oil in a semi. They said it took 8 Quarts. But I noticed after I left they billed for 10 Quarts at a ridiculously high price. Then I paid $100 labour which should be 15 min job. I spent $320.00 to top up 8 Qts here and $80.00 to top up 18 Litres in Canada. Yup...got a bad leak. Fixed now.Service was excellent.Guess they figured they wont be seeing me again. They are right.
I should mention that I was in town for business and my 32 RV style company truck stopped working. In the last 3 months I had 4-5 different mechanic shops work on my truck to find out why it was experiencing issues starting. One put an alternator on, one changed the batteries, on replaced a solenoid, another some relays. Each fix lasted a week to 10 days before the problem returned. When I broke down in Elmira, NY again I made calls for hours trying to find a mobile service in the Elmira, NY area and each one I reached said no. T & R just asked a couple of questions and came right out. They quickly diagnosed that the alternator had failed and that there was another electrical issue due to the fact that no power was going from alternator to the batteries at all. So they towed it to their shop in painted post where they diagnosed within an hour the underlying problem that caused all the other issues we had experienced in the last several months. They got the part in quickly as well as another alternator as the new one had failed as well and installed it quickly. They are clearly highly experienced and professional mechanics. They also very kindly picked me up and dropped me off at the ramada inn up the road each of the two days I was stuck weighting for the repair to be completed. Now to be fair there is a couple of negatives. The shop manager as well as the women who is at the desk in the heavy truck department are never going to call you! If you want to know what is going on you will have to call them. Also, they will get you on the road again quickly but they are not going to give you an estimate under any circumstances. They will tell you the cost of the parts, tow, mobile services that have finite costs but labor they are not even going to discuss until it is done. Save yourself the trouble and frustration and just accept that you will not have the slightest clue what your bill will be until its done. These negatives are outweighed easily by the fact that they will get it done quick and correctly so I give them 5 stars anyway.Overall a great experience and if I am every in this part of the state again when a breakdown occurs I will be calling them first.
I just had my car towed through AAA from Alpine Junction to Ithaca, NY. I had my Beagle puppy with me, so I figured she would have to sit in my car during the tow. Not only did the driver allow her to sit in the cab of the tow truck with us, but he actually brought her treats for the ride! The driver was so friendly and kind hearted. I wish that I had gotten his name to give him proper credit for the outstanding experience. Nonetheless, he was absolutely amazing, and I am so appreciative of his positivity and kindness. Thank you so much!
DO NOT USE THEM. BIG WASTE OF TIME. Called for a road service. Made sure they have the part. Parts guy - Sean confirmed that they have it on their shelve. The girl BRI asked me all the information and service type. Promised that mechanic will be in site in 1-1.5 hours. After one and a half hours I called again, to which BRI replied that they had a 911 call, and mechanic will be there in 30-45 minutes. Later Bri called me and said that apparently they DO NOT perform that kinda service outside of their shop. Waster 2 hours. Now looking for another company. Very disappointed.
This is a follow-up to the service we got from them. We made it back to Florida after our ordeal with serpentine belt/cooling pump and pully coming apart on highway 15 south of Corning. The car has never run better than it does now. The AC does not drag the engine down at stoplights and everything is running smoother. Thanks again for the great service!!!!Nancy and Frank
I had my truck repaired at this shop because they stated to be a Cummins certified dealer, which is not true. They didnt know much about parts being ordered, and did not complete the job. Therefore, the truck continued to have problems which is costing me more money for me to look for. Aside from that, they overcharged me for the services done and put in extra hours of labor that many repair shops do not take that long to do such work. Please do not waste time and money even considering to repair anything at this location. They have wasted a lot of my time and money.
If there was a zero I would have given that!! Absolutely no bed side manner from the head honcho supervisor, who hung on me twice! He must be wiping his a$$ with all the money he makes in overcharges!! Taking advantage of young girls who have no clue how to deal with breakdowns, could have been pleasant and worked with me on an agreeable price but wouldn’t budge, then called the state troopers on me when I told him his charges where ridiculous!!! Rinwakski is the way to go, all day!!!
Please Stay Away!Do read this to truly see how poor their mechanics are.On 5/8/16 our not even one year old Jasper LC9 engine in our 2007 Suburban died. It got towed by and to T&R Painted Post as USAA said they were a Jasper certified shop. We got a hold of Jasper and they said they will work with T&R and had already sent out a new motor. Two weeks later said Suburban is finished. I go to pick it up, start it and all sounds well. I drive not even 40 miles and the Suburban dies at a red light. It managed to start again but I had no RPM indicating. Pull off and call T&R, they tow it to T&R Bath. That was Friday afternoon at 3:30pm. I had to get dropped off to pick it up, had a funeral the next morning, and I live in Binghamton. They didn’t want to look at it till Monday; I was finally able to get them to look at it Friday. (I should be well on my way…) Turns out a sensor “went bad” and they put a new one in and now there is a knocking present. I come and listen to it, there was a slight knock that disappeared and while idling I heard a BOLT go flying through the engine and then land somewhere… So it then gets towed to T&R Painted Post on Monday. They drive the Suburban 50 miles and let it idle for an hour (My gas gauge sure showed that!) and say it’s already to go. Come to find out the “bad” sensor, got scrapped out and carved into by something. (How about that lose bolt in my engine?) They then charge me $130 for the sensor and labor for their mistake! They are trying to blame Jasper for the lose bolt in the engine and won’t even look into it! So I get our Suburban back and instantly notice things wrong. First, there is an exhaust leak when cold; did they replace the exhaust seals as required? Nope. Exhaust studs aren’t even in properly! I check the power-steering for kicks; the fluid didn’t even touch the end of the dipstick! Then the wiring harnesses; they are ran all wrong and not retained where they are intended to be. Few great examples; firstly, there is a wire harness that is supposed to run underneath a larger harness, clip to the strut studs, and then run underneath the steering axle with plenty of clearance. They ran the small harness above the larger harness, didn’t clip it down, and now the harness is ready to catch and get ripped apart by bolts that spin around which are part of the steering axle! Second, around the started are several harnesses for sensors and the starter itself; they ran every wire they could against the sharpest edges of the starter and did not retain them properly. Third, I am really pissed about; there is a large plastic channel that closes shut on a large wire harness and some smaller that run across the bottom of the front of the engine. Its job is to keep the harnesses hidden and safe from the accessory belts and pulleys that the wires are just behind. T&R didn’t even put the plastic channel back! The harnesses are now just lose and bouncing around at the bottom of the engine! After finding this I noticed that they didn’t even push the transmission lines into the metal clips that were resting against on the side of the engine! I literally just pushed them into place and click, as it should be. So they did many things wrong, lazily, and we now have FEWER parts than what we went in with! I CANNOT recommend these guys in the slightest.
If your ever break down in upstate NY stay away from this dump. I got towed to the Hornell Location on a Monday around 11am didnt get info on my truck until 3pm .got the item for my truck Wed morning took two days for a 6hr job only one nice person in the shop had to rent a uhaul to go to the hotel because no one was available to drive me if it wasnt for the nice guy that took me to the uhaul, but I had to walk 3miles back to the location the next afternoon which they just started working on my truck thanks to Kenny getting the ball rolling Id probably still be there worst experience ever
I wish i could give them 0 stars. They told me they were an international shop so i had them tow my truck to them..That was not true at all..My truck was there for 3 weeks and no one would ever return a call..I finally took my truck next door to fix it which they did in 3 day...stay far away
Mike from the bath shopGod knows how many they have.Towed our camper, was the upmost disrespectful, arrogant, damaged our camper and stated that he doesnt care if auning was out, slide out was out, he will rip it out and not f-ing care. Exact words. So I guess maybe the people who use them to tow theyre vehicles should think twice. They clearly dont care if they damage your vehicle and very unprofessional.
I have been using T&R since Tim & Randy had their business at the Mobil station on Washington St. They have always been good to me and did what I asked and if something more needed to be done, they gave me a call and explained the problem including an estimate of cost.
I am filled with gratitude for Matt, Phil, and Lois at FleetPride. On a sunny Friday afternoon, on my way to a weekend on the lake with friends, I hit a deer. I had no idea what to do and I feel so lucky that Google pointed me to their shop. From their compassion on the phone to their service in person, I was in such good hands.Even though their shop was closing in an hour, they carefully inspected my car. I thought for sure Id be leaving my car and renting one to get home (400 miles away). But they found no leaks or damage under the hood. They tested my tires and the overall safety. In the end, they said they could SAFELY wire tie my bumber in place and strap my hood down and send me on my way!!Not only did I actually manage to enjoy my weekend on the lake, but I can report that I did successfully drive my car 400 miles home. I am so grateful.

2022-04-05I got my car stuck and called a different towing service who claimed they couldnt get my car out without totaling it. After calling T&R, they assessed the situation and had my car on the road in 10 minutes, damage free. I was very satisfied with the service and professionalism of this company. I will definitely be using them again for any towing needs and recommending them to friends and family.

2022-06-06I wish i could give them 0star. They are lazy who takes your money out. If you are ever need road side Assistance. Please do not call them. They will tell you we will take a look at your truck same day. But they will let your truck sit for weeks and weeks. And they are going to charge way more money than you could ever imagine. I would suggest to all drivers. You should rather pay more for towing to go somewhere far but never come to this place. I bet you would regret coming here. If anyone needs any proof of that reply here and will give you proof how they kill you on money and time.

2021-09-02Josh was absolutely amazing when we had a flat tire around midnight last night! My fiance and I were driving to Buffalo from NYC. We were about 100 miles from our destination when we realized we had a flat tire. The tire was completely slashed from something on the road. Thankfully, we have Roadside Assistance from State Farm and we were immediately able to put in a service request. Within 45 minutes, Josh pulled up and greeted us with a smile. He made a horrible situation better with his kindness and hard work. He switched out the flat with our full size spare and assured us wed be able to make our destination safely. I asked if he could also check the rest of the tires just to be safe and Josh didnt hesitate! He immediately checked the rest of the tires and let us know we were good to go. Within 15 minutes, we were on our way! Josh was so nice and even pulled out the truck to give us time and room to get back on the expressway safely. Thank you so much, Josh for helping us and your kind words of wisdom! You cant have good luck without a little bad luck -Josh

2018-02-10We used their shop in Hornell, NY. Our transmisson went out in our Frieghtliner. We switched from a 10 to a 13 speed. Replaced the clutch..main bearings..rear seal..and they fixed some other leaks we had. They guys over there were awesome down to earth guys. Good mechanics. Billy over saw most of the repairs and kept us updated.Had some problems getting the drive shaft back with the machine shop..we had to get it balanced and cut down. Not their fault. But the guys stayed over after quitting time and got it done. We were down 10 days..not bad for a transmission and modified at that.We had some problems with the clutch break in FL afterwards. Called Billy he had a buddy right where we were at ...went by he put in a clutch break in under 30 min and we were up running...NO CHARGE. T & R prices were good and they made sure it was done right. In this business its hard to find honest mechanics that do good work. Definitely will use again...but I hope i dont have to.
