I have been here three times so far and the food just keeps getting better. Chef Roe is doing the thang in the kitchen and putting his whole body in the food, not just his foot.Prices are pocket friendly for the taste, quality and amount of food. You must stop and try, you wont be disappointed. You can even purchase a cocktail and sip while you wait for your food. Ijs.
Disappointed all I wanted was fish and chips. Waited 45mins for unseasoned food. The whiting fish had no taste. I had to add salt that came in the bag. The whiting fish didnt even look like whiting fish. The shrimp had no taste but it was nicely fried. The Cajun rice very small portion had no taste either so it doesnt matter and someone had a carnival with the black pepper. Rice did taste like box rice. Tartar smelled sour but it wasnt spoiled I guess. Small portion for the asparagus. The only thing I enjoyed was the yams and fries but the oil tasted old.
I ordered the lobster fries and Cajun pasta yesterday and I was very disappointed. The lobster fries had imitation crab on it instead of lobster which is completely misleading. The salmon on the pasta was completely over cooked and had a rubber consistency. If you are looking for quality seafood this isn’t the place.Update: I talked to the store this morning and the confirmed that it was imitation lobster meat.
What I will say is the food is good but service is HORRIBLE. I have been there all of 3 times. Each time I had an issue. The first two times I figured they were new and just opening so they would be working out kinks. However this past Saturday 5/8 topped it off for me. I called in an order at 3:08pm and was told it would be ready in 30minutes. Already knowing their track record I waited an additional 15 minutes before going to pick up my food. Once I arrived I still had to wait. Figures!!! After another 40minutes of waiting I was told my order was NEVER EVEN MADE!!! When I asked what could be done for me as I ordered over $150 worth of food the girl basically said nothing could be done and I should ordered again and wait. There was no urgency no apology or anything. As a business if you mess up on your end the first thing you do is want to make sure your customers are satisfied...not here!!They could care less. Bad bad bad service. I will not be returning
I love love this spot.Been here several times already. With COVID, it’s best to phone in your order. The website I was told by staff it’s being updated.I ordered the whole fish with two sides. The whole fish is red snapper. When I picked up the order I thought it was a catering order and was mistakenly giving to me.The whole fish and two sides were in a foil lasagna pan I was shockedThe fish was fried to perfection. The sides were great as well.
This business is unprofessional, tacky and unorganized. I waited on a call to place an order for over 10min. When I arrived to pickup my meal the person at the door was completely unprofessional. I had to ask for a receipt for my purchase only to find out that my full order wasnt even reflected on the receipt. At which point, I had to ask the cashier to apprise me of the true total cost of the meal; of which she wasnt to happy that I had the audacity to even ask. In addition, I was given over three dollars in change. This type of service and quality of business is exactly why I have trouble supporting black owned businesses. We have to do better....They have to do better!!! Unfortunately, I will no long patronize this establishment because they clear dont value my dollar.
Just went here for the first time. Went in read the menu and ordered. Service was fine. I ordered the seafood platter and kids chicken tenders. When I got home to eat. Everything was great and tasted great. The only problem was the salmon in the seafood platter was extremely undercooked. Almost still swimming. I called them up to inform them and they apologized but no step was taken out of their way to make this right. So that’s pretty much my complaint. I was served raw fish and no attempt to fix was made or offered. Other than that. Great tasting platter and my kids chicken and seasoned fries were great.12/13/19
I thought this place had so much promise I truly had a bad experience for my first visit. I ordered a meal over the phone and waited 45 minutes until I went to pick it up and they did not have inventory of food that I ordered. I have never experienced this before. I try to give these guys a chance but this is not a good reliable seafood location. The place is run by teenagers go figure.
I really wish that I could give ABSOLUTELY NO stars..... This 95% of my order was DISGUSTING !!! I ordered fried whiting and shrimp w/ double cajun rice. The rice tasted like it was box rice with extreme amounts of black pepper and old bay. Then I ordered plain fried wings w/ mac n cheese, and broccoli. THE MOST bland mac I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE !!!! Not to mention the broccoli tasted like it went from frozen back to microwave to container..... The street corn was EXTREMELY OVERCOOKED and was doused in the exact same seasoning as the cajun rice !!!!! I guess it only takes money, leftovers from the soup kitchen and cheap seasonings to open a restaurant. The food was disgusting !!!! However , the customer service experience was exceptional.
Subpar food with bad/slow service.I placed an order, went to go get gas and went to the liquor store next door, came back to pick up and STILL had to wait an extra 25 mins!!! They had one person at the register which seemed like she didnt even really wanna be there. Got the food, (grilled shimp) which was extremely salty and a waste of my money and time.
First time trying the lobster fries! They were so good but so filling definitely your moneys worth in portion. Macaroni side is a favorite of mine and the rum punch was nice n strong. Food was done pretty fast and the service was great. One of my favorite seafood spots.
It was the end of a rough day and just needed a good meal. Walked out of Best Buy and noticed this place on the other side of the mall . Didnt expect more than the standard fried fish kind of place but was pleasantly surprised at the menu. Yes, there is fried fish, but also broiled, combos, sauces, etc. We got the Whiting and shrimp combo and werent disappointed. Fresh, good portion size. The only thing I wouldve wanted was for them to put some sauce in the takeout bag...hot sauce or tartar sauce. Will go back!
All good things come to an end. Placed numerous orders yesterday because of spontaneous get together and I didnt want to cook . Place has been slipping. No one liked their food including me. I ended up frying chicken and fish. Due to money I spent the dog is going to have it for a few days. I have never been able to get pass a certain spot on online order despite using a few phones and computers. Always state not accepting online orders. Called yesterday and they said it was working. Had to make several trips to door, order and wait. Since you been open I have never been able to get a order of potatoe salad. Well needless to say I wont be back. Please turn this black business around. I had way better at soul food places taken over by Asians and yes if you leave it eill become a Asian spot or oh lord like we need another Jamaican spot. We have onr on every other block. Good luck and God bless.
Food is fresh and delicious every time. Lots of variety on the menu, you can eat here often and never get bored. They have a fresh modern take on seafood and there’s something for everyone. Call and ask about specials- they usually have some great ones. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the food can take a long time- granted it’s made to order. But even when I call ahead (20-30 minutes ahead) I still have to wait a little while. It would be convenient if their website online ordering feature was functional. Other than that, this spot is great and I will continue to order from here. Prices are very fair and food is fresh and delicious. You can’t go wrong eating here.
My family visited this place and spent $65 on food here and everything was disappointing. Seafood is a fairly easy thing to prepare and yet it was done so wrong. We ordered fish and shrimp baskets and it tasted waterlogged and under seasoned at best. The sides were just ok but the kicker was the chicken that was served to us so burnt it was black in some spots. I wouldnt feed that to my dog yet alone box it up and serve it to a paying customer. Would I recommend? Never! I wish google allowed you to post pictures because this chicken was disgraceful.
One Saturday my husband and I wanted to try this takeout restaurant being we had passed by it several times. We both ordered the whiting and fried shrimp. I ordered the sauteed spinach. That night about 4 hours after eating this food we both got sick to our stomachs and we were taking turns using the bathroom. Maybe it was bad fish they served that day. Also, the spinach was way to salty. You could hardly eat it. The chef was heavy handed with salt that day. Although, when I first bit into the fish it had a taste of being fried in old grease. Thats probably why we got sick to our stomachs. They need to change the grease more often. We might give this place one more try. If we get sick again, that will be the end of ever eating any food from them ever. Be very careful eating from here if your fish taste like old grease. You will get sick.
We went on 1/26/19. Ive been wanting to try the spot since it opening. But when one of the chefs I follow on Instagram, Chef Roe started cooking there I was like let me check it out today. Very clean and cute spot. Everyone was friendly and courteous. We ordered salmon, shrimps, scallops, fried Whiting, mac &cheese, and asparagus for the sides. 1st off there is a wait for ur food so be prepared. Not an issue for me I just had a drink and waited. The food was awesome! But the scallops were spectacular! Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Its fish at market price I think. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. Ill be back again soon!!!!
Terrible customer service and they served me raw fish. The cashier was unfriendly and didnt ask if I was ready to take my order (she was just starring at me with a straight face), I was the one that initiated conversation and said that Im ready to order. She was cold and not very professional. My second complaint was the fish, it was raw on the inside. Sadly I took it to go and didnt want to drive all the way back to complain. Just wont be visiting again
Customer service is horrible I am big on it. The young lady who took my order had the worst attitude. If you dont like your job dont be there. First she said my order will take 25 to 30 mins top I waited for 50 minutes. After 35 minutes I inquired she gave an attitude about its not ready yet so I walk away come back 10 min later I ask again she continues to tell me my order not ready but I see a bag with my name on it. I ask about it she tells me its not ready yet then picks up the bag n say oh your order just came out but it was same bag sitting there. I will never go back and told numerous people not to eat there
The food is really tasty But this is the most poorly managed restaurant I have ever had the experience of dealing with. They are either completely understaffed or just completely miss managed. You need to order at least one hour in advance if you would like food and even then you might still have to wait smh
They never get my order correct , and the food is always under or over cooked .When they First opened the food was amazing , now they’ve been there for a while they are slacking , I always put hope into it , praying that my order will be correctToday I order SHRIMP, GRITS, side of salmonI just got salmon and grits with hard grains , truly disappointed, I believe if they were more focus then the food would be wayyy better like the beginning
I have heard nothing but good things about this place. Everything I heard was right. The food is made fresh to order. It is well seasoned and well prepared. The owner is a 25 year old young man with a vision. I am a permanent customer. I wish the place were set up so that we could hang out and eat. There is mostly people ordering to go. The staff is awesome and I had no complaints. The crab cake sliders are a MUST!!! You will not be disappointed.
First off, I’m elated that it’s black owned. I ordered the Whiting & Shrimp Combo for $10.99. Let me say that this might be the best I’ve ever had. Everything was Fresh and fried to perfection. The Mac & Cheese it also amazing. The wait was about 35 mins but it was worth it.They do need to hire more front staff because the person that takes your order also takes the phone orders, door dash, seamless etc etc. She also packs up your order....so Yeah...the wait is long.Calling ahead is your best bet.
I called in a pick up order for a red snapper dinner and coconut shrimp. I was told 20 minutes. I showed up in 50 minutes. I was told my snapper dinner was still not finished it had about 15 minutes. I left and waited in my car. When I went home, my husband tried cutting the fish. It wouldn’t cut. It was completely raw in the middle (red, stiff). Only the very edge was nearly cooked. The meal was not edible! I had to rebake the fish. Even after that we chose not to eat the fish because it grossed us out. While eating the shrimp my husband found 2 pieces that were undercooked. We won’t be ordering or eating from this place anymore. This place has drastically changed.
Plenty of parking! Establishment looked clean from what i could see, but small tables and seating area. Friendly staff member took my order, positive attitude and she was well versed on the menu. Ordered the 40 dollar seafood platter. 20 minutes wait for food....not bad for a sarurday night. Spicy rice was good! Lobster was cooked to perfection but was a bit on the small side. Shrimp were plump and juicy morsels of Southern Flair....as was the Salmon. Salmon & Shrimp were the best part of the dish, honestly! Crab legs were dissapointing. Nothing in them. Vegetables were excessively cooked or soggy from sitting out. I expected fresh, crisp broccoli and corn with my plate...i got melted corn on a husk. Mixed first impression.
First time there ordered the seafood platter which costs $40. Unfortunately the lobster tail was overcooked and crab legs had too much seasoning. The salmon, canjun rice, small pieces of corn, broccoli and red potatoes were good. I also ordered grilled scallops with garlic and butter, but it was disappointing. From this experience I would definitely go back for the salmon. I will also try other menu items that may be better. The front staff person was also nice.Update - my 2nd visit was better then the first. We ordered grilled salmon, cajun rice, spinach, lobster bisque soup, as well as, the $10 shrimp special with potato salad. All the food was very good.Update 11/23 - the fish trap now charges a fee if you pay by credit card.... Very disappointing. Suggest paying by cash..
I got the chicken and waffles. First off let me say, that was the best money I’ve ever spent on food. Best waffles I’ve ever eaten. Wings are on point. That bang bang sauce, 🤤. Customer service is unmatched and it’s black owned ✊🏽💪🏽 doesn’t get any better than The Fish Trap!
When we went it took a while to place our order but they had just recently opened and Im sure they were just trying to get their footing. The people working there are so friendly and they play good music while you wait for your food. The food was really good but I think the portions should be a little larger since its a little pricey, at least the side dishes. Overall, give them a try.
Food isnt great, its just ok. The wait is unreasonably long. Today was the last straw. I initially wanted to order the bang bang shrimp salad but was told they didnt have avocado. Not having 1 of the key ingredients but still charging full price was the 1st issue. I ended up Ordering a jerk shrimp salad. Ordered at 4:20pm and it didnt come out until 4:58pm. The wrong dressing was put on the receipt. I inquired about this and then was given the correct sauce. I asked if I can have both to try since this was my 1st time having it. I was told that I can only have 1. It was a small ask since I had to wait so long and the serving size of the dressing is extremely small. Cashier showed poor customer service! I will not be back, nor will my family.
After waiting for almost 2 hours for an order with three individual items I decided to ask for a refund. I understand that quality food takes time, but 2 hours is ridiculous. The woman at the register told me it would be 30 to 40 minutes and I took a walk to Best Buy to take up time. There were multiple customers complaining about the wait and I could not take it anymore. For anyone thinking of trying this place I suggest you plan your evening around waiting for your food. Will not even think of going there in the future. It is exactly what is in the name a Trap.
The food is great but the customer service wasnt. I waited like 40 mins for my food, which was fried calamari and fried shrimp. There was people coming in after me and receiving their food before me so i spoke up, immediately the worker by the name of Tina caught an attitude. Im the one that should have been totally upset because I waited so long. She gave me attitude all the way up until it was time to give me my food. I just believe my order was forgotten because it was so busy but thats fine. She could have just told me that instead of just letting me sit there and wait for so long. It seems as if the take out orders were all being done first. Its no time on when those customers arrive, the customers in the store should be served a lil more quickly. After I spoke up about my order she then went to the cook and asked about it and he responded as if he forgot about my order. Again I know your place is busy but if you know a customer is sitting and waiting for so long just inform them on their order.
Its good when you can find a fish place where you can see them pick the fish , and you pick how you want them to fix it !!!. They have an everything plate , that has all the seafood for 40.00. Lobster tail plate was 10. Snow crabs were 20 a plate. You tell them how you want it cooked. Sides are 5.00 . But to me , you dont get enough. And they have a childrens menu also.WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN😋
I want to give this place a better review but the wait is just too long. Over an hour wait after being informed it would take 30 min. With that said I think a lot of the kinks have to do with the fact that its a new establishment with new staff and management. Hopefully the kinks work out sooner rather than later because they are leaving a rather terrible first impression. This place has the potential to be the best in Baldwin if they get things together.
After waiting seemingly forever for place to open, finally checked it out last night. Not too impressed. Decor is very nice....shows alot of attention to detail. Staff very nice. However the food was just medicore and way over priced for the limited portion size. Fried shrimp had more batter than actual shrimp. However the menu is vast so will return to try other dishes. Location is superb also!
Won’t order again for a couple months Sumthin not right fix your staff. Ordered from here twice with no issues food was fantastic. The third time is supposed to be a charm right? Wrong! For some reason I was given unseasoned seafood and dried nasty spinach and yams that tasted like 25 day old leftovers. This definitely a kitchen/work environment issue please clean house it’s not fair to your customers. Get it together!
Please note, I never write reviews. I would give this place ZERO STARS. First time I ate there, I bought speciality meals for my family. It was awful, greasy. Just not appetizing, spent $60. Tried, one more time. Whiting sandwiches. Greasy again, no flavor. Spent $22 for 1 piece of fish on each sandwich plus a side. Just disgusting. I will not be going back!!!!!!!!!
Now usually I won’t leave a review but the young lady at the register was extremely rude! She had an attitude with every customer that came in, not just me! The food took way too long to come out! Macaroni salad wasn’t that good! Fish was ok but the wait and the horrible service is why I would not go back! I don’t mind waiting if the establishment is friendly and kind! DO BETTER!
I went in on a busy Saturday night and ordered Chicken and Waffles.I waited almost an hour for my order go home .no utensils, no napkins, no butter, more importantly...no syrup. Really no syrup? The chicken was under seasoned winglets for 15 dollars with tax and a flat waffle with I repeat..no freaking syrup.
Arrived at 10pm to make an order, restaurant hours posted a 11pm closing time. I made an order of jumbalaya, shrimp po boy and lobster fettucine totaling $51. The response from one of the cooks yelling from the kitchen You are f^*ing ordering this when we are about to leave? Are you f^$*ing kidding me? The cook comes out throwing the food he had in his onto the counter and continues to complain how he cant even take a break to smoke. Continues to curse on his way to the back. At the workers first outburst i asked the cashier if i should not go forward with my order and i was assured it was ok. After a few more outbursts i decided it was not a wise decision to have this guy make my food so i asked that my ordered be refunded. Once the worker was informed the order was cancelled he stared out from the kitched and continued to make remarks. Needless to say I will not be going to back to this establishment.
OMG the WAIT!!! We waited 1hour 20 minutes for 2 standard dinners. They didnt warn us about the wait time at the time of ordering at all. We have repeatedly asked how much longer and was told soon. We have asked for refund twice and they said our food were just about done. We waited for another 30 mins. Literally felt like we were taken hostage. What kind of business does this?
Wow is all I can say!! I have been wanting a fresh seafood spot for years, one that matches the quality in LAs or Miamis best seafood eateries. The Fish Trap is my new favorite spot! Thank you Fish Trap for providing an exceptional healthy but tasty cuisine right in L.I. without breaking my bank account.PS-I have brought my family here as well and they absolutely love it!
Overall awful! Handmade lemonade is a mix with a few lemon slices, lobster tail was frozen and not thawed/cooked completely for consumption, the fettuccine was way over cooked and swimming in a cream sauce. The clam chowder was tasteless and the mac and cheese was a congealed oiley mess. This place is not a restaurant, it has a counter to order food and a few seats lining a wall. I give it one star because I have to!
If you haven’t made it to this place....What are you waiting for? I stopped by on Sunday and ordered a few things to get the full experience. I am now a lifetime customer, the food was excellent. I ate everything from the mussels to the clams to the crab legs to the mac and cheese and you better believe I will be back to order more!
So ill start with the food was good. But the service sucks....almost hr long wait for food is ridiculous. I even recently tried calling in my order b4 i got there while i was driving and the girl who answered the phone told me she couldnt take my order without paying for it 1st?! Im the ultimate bachelor and eat out almost everday and never heard of that, but i would have if i wasnt driving, when i mentioned that the girl said its not that long of a wait ......when i got there 15mins later i was told the wait was 45mins mind you i only wanted a salmon salad. I called another place and not only did they take my order my food was ready by the time i got there. Service is what separates good restaurants from the bad ones(as well as the food lol). I hope this place gets it together, although i probably wont be going back there.
My first time at the fishtrap because CHEF ROE was going to be there I ordered the pineapple jerk shrimp and my girl ordered the scallops and grits.chef roe catered to our every request concerning our food and it was so good we also had the banana pudding which was very delicious! CHEF ROE IS AMAZING
I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a quick place to eat. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. They made me feel like I was the only customer present and it is the reason I will be returning. I highly suggest trying The Fish Trap if you are in Baldwin.
Heard of this new spot in town and went in for an early lunch. The Shrimp and Grits is to die for! Exactly what this area was lacking, The Fish Trap came and provided. The Chicken & Waffles was very good as well (I eat off of my girlfriends plate when she isn’t looking)
When they 1st opened I wouldve given them a 6 star rating....I was so happy that Baldwin finally had some good food.......but now its like its all Rushed and now Im barely wanna give it two stars I think today will be my last time ordering from them..unless they go bck to how it use to be wish I had b4 and after pictures to include..my yams looked like it was as opened out of the canned warmed up and put in a Tray.... And the macaroni look like it was just regular macaroni with some sprinkle cheese...Im so mad and Disappointed.....This review was done while Angry excuse me if theres any typos and misspellings
I just picked up my order the 2 piece Whiting 5 jumbo shrimp with broccoli special which is my favorite and is usually awesome but today was so salty I could not enjoy it dont know who was on cooking today( 7/13/19) 5:35pm pickup I love your food and will continue to come back just want to bring this to your attention.
I try to support black businesses the food here is good just don’t come hungry light on the portions... 1st time I cane got nice portion next time got 1/2 of what I got 1st time ok could have been off 3rd time got less than the 2nd. Told them so no response... really not going back next...
Very impressed not only because the food is too die for but because I am proud to say one of our very own black African American at the age range of 24-26 has been creative an opened a spot of seafood restaurant an market which we do not have in baldwin actually DO IT im very proud of this establishment .. I also give a big shoutout to the employees every food they suggested to me was the truth even gave me the info , background of this great success very proud

2022-06-26When you’re traveling and have a taste for some good Catfish and get a recommendation… you try it! The Fish Trap came highly recommended This was a 5 star experience from the moment we walked in. Angie greeted us with a friendly accommodating spirit. I love the fact that the menu was simple and the prices were on point. We ordered food to go, was told it would be about 20 minutes. The wait was less than 20. We headed out and enjoyed the large portion of catfish which was cooked to perfection as was the entire order. Located in Baldwin, the location was perfect! The food, seasonings, service, atmosphere and location were amazing!! Next time I’ll try the Shrimp and Grits which I hear are the truth🤩

2022-07-03What a horrible horrible experience / 2 whiting candies Yams and potato salad. Price $14.64 no problem I wanted something different got home excited open the container my whiting looked like two chicken tenders. $14 dollars 💵 what did I pay for I seriously dont mind paying for good food but not for chicken tenders.

2022-03-09I ordered jerk shrimp with the lobster Mac & cheese (keep in mind, lobster & macaroni are my least fav foods) and it was very good. Especially the jerk shrimp. The customer service there is amazing. The cashier, Winter, is a very friendly, well-mannered pretty young lady. Will be back soon!

2022-04-02The place was nice and the staff was nice but the food didn’t have any taste. I had the whiting dinner with fries and potato salad. I could only taste the hot sauce.

2019-06-11Went for takeout. Needed something healthy, flavorful and filling. This place hit them all. I ordered the Red Snapper dinner, which came with a dipping sauce and two signature sides. First of all, fillet was big, Definitely filling. Cooked to perfection, pan seared in butter and seasoned right. Topped with a small amount of sliced sweet peppers and onions, just small enough not to overpower the dish. The spinach was drenched in a garlic butter soup. I could have swam in it and drank my way out of it. Sauted asparagus, tasted with the same garlic butter sauce. Both greens were cooked well, not wilted. I will be visiting again. I suggest people reading this to do the same!

2019-08-31The food was great. Well cooked, seasoned, and nicely hot. I had the seafood fettuccine and my wife had the banger shrimp with two sides. The shrimp and salmon in the fettuccine were delish and had plenty flavor. Very filling and delicious with every bite. I think the sauce couldve been thicker and a bit less oily but overall I would definitely get it again.Made a shrimp trade with the wife, and the banger shrimp was perfectly fried with a generous drizzle of that delicious sauce youd expect. Just to be clear, all those shrimp werent just jumbo in name like some places either. They were big as youd buy to cook at home 🍤👨🏾🍳.For the sides we had the Trap Mac n cheese. Aptly called the Trap Mac for short, and it had lobster in it. Some of the best mac n cheese Ive had. It tasted like it was home cooked by someone who knew their way around the kitchen.Other side was the red potato salad and it was ok to good. Some might really like it but compared to the other food, it definitely had less flavor (no relish or onions mixed in). Personally I took it home and added a bit of chipotle Mayo and it put it where it needed to be.Now the only real downside was that you dont get much of a warm welcome from the front service. I guess the expectation is everyone is getting takeout so not much of a need but it does make a difference.Overall all Id recommend getting food here, but order ahead of time. The dinner menu is sit-down restaurant quality, but dont expect sit-down service (too small anyway). Eat a few bites there maybe, while its really hot, but youll get the most enjoyment eating it at home. The lunch menu is more to the level of the name suggests and is probably what Id recommend if you were going a bit more regularly.

2019-05-20Great food. Great location. Usually a wait for food but its worth it for the portion size and taste. So far Ive had the Cajun seafood dish and the bang bang shrimp, Ill be back for the king crab and lobster tails.

2022-06-19I love good, fried fish. 99% of the time when I order fried fish in a restaurant I am disappointed. So I noticed this place and decided to give them a try. Even though the place is just 10 minutes from me, I was feeling lazy and ordered through grubhub. Grubhub said it would take 75-85 minutes to deliver. I was annoyed but I said ok. After about 30 minutes I called the restaurant to be sure that they put extra cocktail sauce in the bag. Oh yea. BTW I ordered the fried fish and shrimp. Which ended up being more than I could eat. 2 big pieces of fried whiting and what had to be 5 or 6 huge fried shrimp. The sides were seasoned fries (ok) and macaroni salad (amazing). So when I called 30 minutes after I ordered I was told oh yea. I have your order right in front of me, blah blah blah. A full 30 minutes after that my food was delivered so as far as I could tell it sat for 30 minutes after being prepared before I got to eat it. And let me tell you I expected it to be greasy, cold, soggy. It wasnt any of that. In fact it was the best fried fish and shrimp I have ever had anywhere hands down. And for $15 the price cant be beat.
