I looked on the website and it said they have 8 batteries for the ring doorbell. I couldn’t find it so I asked for the first person I asked tried to help. Then he asked 2 older guys and they just outright said no without even letting him finish. I can understand if the website said 1 or 2 and they didn’t have it, but saying 8. It’s sad that people work retail jobs and don’t want to help anyone.
Very disappointing... Not helpful at all.. Needed some adapters for a plumbing install, and wound up wasting almost an HOUR! With no help at all, after calling for someone in plumbing 3 TIMES!! So I just went down the road to Island Replacement Parts and Faucets. 5 minutes and I got exactly what I needed with intelligent, experienced advice! 5 stars to Island!!
I just want to thank everyone at the Bayshore Home Depot for all of their help. From Terri in Flooring that helped us decide on the product. Cynthia in service that helped get the guys to load 20 boxes into my truck. And I didnt get the names of the two guys that saved this an old guys back by using a fork lift to load 700 pounds of flooring.Thank you All!
I wouldn’t take a chance even shopping at Home Depot. They fail to tell you about their return policy which includes denying your refund over a store credit. It’s not stated any where on their website nor is it stated on their receipt. I’m glad we have other options to shop at for example lowes! So good luck shopping there!!! Talk about WASTING MONEY!! CANT WAIT YO CANCEL MY CREDIT CARDS
Usually dont review big chain stores because they are all the same. But today was amazing. Owned a home for over 31 years and do most of the work myself. Today was the VERY first time an employee asked me if I needed help. He knew where in the store my items were. And then another employee helped with my last item.
3 lazy employees who sat there staring at me while I got down on my hands and knees to try and pull out a heavy piece of wood, then lift it up to my cart by myself. All because they were clearly annoyed I was in the aisle they wanted to close off. Here is a clue fellas- it would have gone a lot quicker if you maybe offered to help your customer. Also, next time pleae do not try to push a customer out of the way when they are already trying hard to get out of your way. One saving grace was the kind cashier. If I could have made this purchase on Amazon I would have walked out. Show some respect losers.
Dont know where to begin with everything that went wrong. 1st we ordered a carpet back in the beginning of September 2020. The receipt stated it would be in by 09/28/20 by 09/30/20 I began calling to follow up and 2 out of the 3 times I was cut off and told by customer service that they would call me when it was in. The last time I called a gentleman gave me the number to the actual company and when I called them on 10/05 I was told they didnt have any order in their system. So I then called Home Depot back and no one knew what was going on. Finally got a call at the end of October stating the order never went through. The order was then submitted. Pickup was scheduled for 11/21. We got there and was told it would be a few minutes. A few minutes became over 2 hours. Customer service repeatedly stated there was no one available to bring down the carpet. They repeatedly paged management for about an hour and no manager ever came to assist. In conclusion the Bay Shore Home Depot needs to be visited by corporate to ensure that the workers are not managing themselves.
I will never purchase an appliance from homedepot again! My washer arrived dented and with a busted pump. When I asked for an exchange, I was told I have to go through the manufacturers warranty and have them repair it. So basically you sold me a busted washer that needs repair. I never even got to use it!!!! I will file a claim with the BBB!!!
We were looking for plexiglass to cover a hidden oil tank in our basement. We were fortunate to run into a store associate named Louis Bravo who went above and beyond in helping us find just what we needed. He took his time to offer assistance and even led us to the product. Service like that is why we will be back.
Absolutely awful customer service! I had to place a delivery from store to home for a special order and was told to call & ask for John to schedule this. I called 4 days in a row and was told each time that John would call me back that day. I never received a single call. I eventually spoke to someone who could schedule it for me. I received a confirmation that it was to arrive today between 6a-8p (a 14 hour window during which someone needed to be present). I called the store at 10a today for a more narrow window of delivery time. Initially they said the order didn’t exist and then said my delivery was cancelled. No one knows why this happened nor was I ever informed. I was then told by Josh & Alba that I would receive a phone call within an hour to reschedule it and determine what happened but no one ever did! I then went down to the store and asked to speak to a manager. The associate’s response was “I don’t know which manager is on”. Not an ounce of problem solving skills or initiative. Not even the ability to find out which manager is on shift. Absolutely awful service, up to and including the manager Jerry who was in the store but reportedly unable to assist us for the hour that I was waiting there at customer service trying to reschedule my delivery that was cancelled due to a “glitch in their system”. Now I know why the Bay Shore Lowe’s is always so busy. Their local competitor is a joke!
Wasted 10 minutes on line getting 4 - 5/16 x 1 ¢47 cent carriage bolts because they arent individually tagged and cashier refused to use the barcode I took a picture of to make things easier. After many failed attempts she was finally able to read the small stamping on the bolts. Should have shopped locally on this one.
Came in not knowing a thing about painting. Judy in the paint dept not only helped me get everything I needed but also made sure I only bought what I needed. Also was very patient in my paint selection process. Moving to Bay Shore this month and definitely will be back for all my moving needs! Will definitely recommend. Thank you Judy!
Customer service was wonderful. Associates were polite and helpful. Signs were well places and store well-stocked. Online ordered but couldnt get anyone to answer for curbside pickup so had to go inside. Order was in locker but system never sent access code to gain access to order in locker. Home depot customer service associate was very nice and again very helpful.
Their customer service is an oxymoron. Dated and archaic processes with no ability to critically think or act autonomously. I will never return to this Home Depot location and most certainly will be taking my business to Lowes, Ace Hardware or a local mom and pop hardware store. Their employees could not care less and are disengaged to the needs of the consumer.
Great, the lines seemed to have calmed down. Shopping is easier but the employees need major training, at least in the lawn mower / hedge trimmer section. Couldnt answer one question. In addition, does lowes and Home depot have to close at the same exact time, cant one stay open at least an hour later????
I have never been to this Home Depot or any other Home Depot in Suffolk. I usually go to Brooklyn (erskine) ,Queens(aqueduct) or Nassau county ( green acres).This This Bayshore store was like a prop setting in a movie. It was crowded, plenty of parking and most of all a rep at the customer service/pickup desk asked if they could help me as soon as I walked in.This may seem like a big deal to most of you but if you have ever shopped in ZOOS I mentioned before you will appreciate my surprise.They had the hard to find item when I called to check availability and actually had to go to the aisle check to make sure they actually had it.They had them item waiting and 3 other people knew that we had called.The best Home Depot experience I’ve ever had, the best Home Depot I’ve ever been!
I wanna say thank you to 2 people who helped me requarding my purchases at Home depot , They where very efficient and very polite. It was nice going there and seeing that these 2 Love n know there jobs. JOB WELL DONE JOHN AND JAELA. BEST WISHES TO YOU BOTH AT HOME DEPOT.
There werent enough people on the floor to help us and they were getting ready to close so we were leaving through a door other people went through and this woman sitting there started yelling at us. I asked what the problem and she pointed too or left and said we had to use the door down further. I said we were not buying anything and we saw other people leaving this was. She said we cant use that door and pointed again. So we turn left to go to the door and 4 more people are screaming at us. Saying we cant be back there. We werent anywhere near them. I said the woman in the chair said we cant go out that door and pointed this way. They are telling at us to go back and around When the door is right there. I live across the Hwy from there but I wont go back. We went to Lowes and got instant help found more then what we were looking for and were on our way home in less time then we spent at THD. Stress free.
Pretty decent Home Depot, good gardening section. Everything you need for a DIYer. Although the store can be disheveled after the weekend or busy holidays. Not the cleanest or largest Home Depot. Ive never come away empty handed except when I was looking for toilet paper and paper towels recently 😉🙃
Bayshore site..was looking for a tiller/cultivator. I spoke to three representatives..only one truly tried to find if they had any on display or on a rack. Other representatives said..sorry not my area. And I dont know etc.. This is the reason why I would prefer to shop at Lowes. They may or may not always know the answer but hey find someone who does..9/10 times.
Service was NOT good Today!Im just going to say that today we went in to pick up some pretreated lumber and waited for help for 20 minutes...no one ever came!!! I called the manager and all they day was sorry...The service is very hit or miss but mostly miss. I can honestly say the same of Loews...I do better when I go to my mom and pop hardware store...Get it together Home Depot!!
I came into the Bayshore Home Depot today at 5pm an hour before they closed to return items that I no longer needed. The second I rolled my cart to the return counter I was greeted with rolling eyes and an attitude. I understand during these times the workers are tired but I was disgusted how I was treated. I’m sorry I inconvenienced the workers by coming in so close to closing time but I am a first responder and I am unable to make it in at a earlier time. Home Depot needs to teach their workers how to treat other people and to understand they aren’t the only ones working during these difficult times.
I went to buy it today around 7:30pm and I was in garden area looking for mulch and it was a guy He kindly approached me to ask me what I needed and I told him I needed 15 bags of mulch and 10 of garden soil, to which he told me that it was enough and that I better move my car to the area outside where the product was and I would load it once but first tell the cashier what I needed, to which I paid attention I went to the cashier and then moved my car, in which I was loading the product so they could tell it later and I could pay the cashier came and grabbed the keys and closed the door and said that apartment was already closed and another person asked what time they closed and she said that at 8pm and it was just 7:43 pm. because she does not care and closed and I left with the product loaded in my pick up in the parking area and unable to pay what I had charged, after waiting 15 minutes and no one came to charge me, I am directed to Customer service department and I told her what was happening and she told me that she could not help me that I had to download all the product again and take it inside to be able to pay. then I went to the checkout area and a Dominican lady kindly answered me and apologized and told me that I was very honest because I was worried about paying for the product I had already loaded on my pick up truck, then I moved my car and she made the purchase effective. If I had been a bad person I would have gone to my house without paying. But my parents taught me not to steal
Went in for firewood and I really appreciated the guy who helped me out (his apron said his name was Leslie) its home Depot so I didnt expect that much going in but I loved how helpful he was.I told him how I was house sitting and needed more wood for the chimney and he gave me soooo much more information on what to look out for so I wouldnt bring smoke into the house and other things.
After patiently waiting for about 20 minutes, I was lucky enough to get the attention of the lumber manager to get a few cuts made. As undesireable of a task that this seemed to be for the employee, we agreed that there would be a charge for the 10 cuts I needed. Standing at the saw with my lumber, I continued to wait as I observe the employee sweeping up. It became clear that sweeping up was more important than cutting my lumber for me. A frustrating experience.
My mother was shopping on this past Sunday morning and left her wallet in a cart in the parking lot. Upon realizing this happened, she panicked and went back asking around if anyone had seen it. A lovely employee named Susan found the wallet and went the extra mile trying to return it to its rightful owner. My mother was so grateful and asked me to write a review. A very special shoutout to Susan for the extraordinary customer service!
This home depot use to be my home depot of choice - now you go in and you are given misinformation, or worse yet the I dont know answer and I had to go to Loews to get the right answer one time. The lack of knowledge and interest given by the employees is sad - I gave this store five tries before writing this - very disappointed
Worst experience ever! On 7/13 I walked into home depot to buy paint & a ac. I made my purchase and paid cash. While walking to the car me and my boyfriend, noticed there was no remote for the ac i Purchased. So we went back into the store, to purchase an AC with a remote. We walk in With the Ac we purchased, and pick up the ac i wanted. We walked to the return counter. We stop by The counter to exchange when a older man walked up to us and accused us of stealing both Ac”s. The man took the ac that belong to us and the ac we were exchanging it for. There was A older lady Screamin you guys pick it up you guys took it ! I had the receipt. But both of the employees refuse to look at.The man took the AC and said that he was going to the bank to review the cameras.The manager came upstairs and asked us what was the problem, we explain what was going on and showed her are receipt .We ask for money back because after what happened but he felt as if that Home Depot does not deserve my Hard-working money.
I went here first thing in the morning and apparently they have meetings while store is opened instead of prior to opening. I needed assistance in plumbing and no one could be found. Finally a staff member comes with another customer the. Walks away I tried to get his attention but he kept going. I’m disabled and can’t walk the store to find help. I was extremely disappointed to receive no assistance last time I’ll come here for awhile I’ll go to Lowe’s Stay lit 🔥
Always treated me well. Was looking for a piece to fix an old sliding screen door, Lowes didnt have it and they didnt have it for sale either.... Manager said, hold on a second, I keep a box of odds and ends by the register, he retrieved exactly the piece I was looking for and didnt charge me a cent. This is the kind of service that goes above and beyond and the reason Id shop here first before going elsewhere and the reason Id be willing to pay more if their competitors had exactly the same thing for less
This Home Depot has great customer service! Last night we had a storm on Long Island. I was parked by garden. It started to rain and the wind picked up. Carts came rolling at to me 60-65 MPH zone hit the side of my back panel on the drivers side bad!! Huge dent, second one knocked off my Side view mirror. Earlier today noticed that a cart hit my bumper too the marking of the cart is on it!! So I go today to report it so Home Depot can take care if the damages. The manager Susie comes out and tells me they don’t cover that because it was a god nature’s storm and Home Depot won’t fix my car! I told her someone who works for a home sept told me they do! She said they will not fix my car! I said then what am I suppose to do? I have full coverage but my ded. Is $500 she said take this piece of paper put your name on it and number and what happened she would file it but they can’t do anything for the damages. I called Home Depot headquarters customer care! She told me they do!! She asked the name of the manager I gave it to her, she told me she lies and didn’t do her job! She was to give me the paper work to file the claim and I was to fill it out and she was to submit it! My daughter and I couldn’t believe she was saying they don’t cover what happened! She let saying it’s God Nature and they wouldn’t cover the damage! That’s why I came home and called head quarters because I was furious that they weren’t going to cover the damages!! I’m going to see the store manager Edwin RIVERA tomorrow so he can give me the paper work and submit it and HOME DEPOT will be fixing those damages! She didn’t do her job. Had I not thought to call their head quarters I would have had to claim it through my insurance $500 deductible! She should not be representing Home Depot!
I had ordered online an outside Christmas snowman and was told I could pick it up at store in Bay Shore. When I got there it was no where to be found. Cindy , the young lady at pick up for online purchases, went out of her way to tract down this snowman. She saw that another store had it and sent someone to pick it up and said they would call as soon as it arrived. Sure enough a young lady by the name of Kerry called to say they had it for me. These two young ladies where so pleasant and I cant thank them enough for their care .While I shopped a little more two other employees took time to direct me to the area I needed and said if they could be of any more help just ask. Love this customer service which you cannot find very often any more.
If there was no star I wouldn’t place one this place I always come a young man manager Danny or David strong arms you because he’s a manager asked a few questions because I wanted to place something on hold man for más said I had to pay if not the door was there rudest person shouldn’t be a manager no people’s skills even on this pandemic where people is dying people should learn to be kind huge company I will think clients is what matters I’ll never come back to this place ever I have a 175,000 usd project will bring my money to Lowe’s very very sad
I would like to thank everyone at home depot at Bayshore NY 11706 everyone there is so polite as you walk in they greet you they ask if you need help and they are courteous.but one person stands out more to me than all, his name is Felix i have to say i never had such a pleasure of knowing a person like felix he is remarkable at his job, and verey knowledgeable. i will explain,i have had many projects at home and he would always help me with everyone of them, but one job particular had to do with electrical and he took the time as always to get me the right tools and also he helped me through it by giving me instruction on how to tackle this job i welcome anyone to go and visit this home depot store and ask for Felix he wont disappoint. .Hope that they would keep this employee for a long time to come......
I was shopping for appliances and fully ready to purchase so I figured Id go to the homedepot as I went to appliance section I sat there and waited for 10 minutes walking around as both employees didnt even acknowledge my existence. Its one thing to be busy but at least say hi to your customers.
This place is a nice place to buy items. However yester day I assume the Security team was following me throughout the store. Made me feel uncomfortable. This store needs to respect people for whatever color they have. African American boy in hoody following me throughout the store, bad experience

2022-05-22I was in The Home Depot on Saturday and I asked for help with lighting. Kevin walked me through the different options and sat with me at the computer explaining everything. I had a few questions about other things as well such as flooring and shelves…. He was very educational and answered all the questions I had in depth! When I got home to tell my boyfriend about how nice the guy at Home Depot (Kevin) was, he responded with “He’s helped me before too! He’s a really cool guy” #kevinneedsaraise!!!!

2022-04-21Logan is such a brilliantly bright and uplifting employee. He is so helpful to customers. This is his 4th time helping me in the store and has helped me through some challenging questions and found me the best solutions. Excellent customer service skills and such a bright spirit to be around. He should become a District manager. He is bright and he is going places.

2022-05-31I just wanted to give a 5 star rating for Tom in hardware. He is an exemplary employee because he went over and beyond to help me with my cabinet knobs. Ive been trying to get them cut and or find someone who could assist me with a tool or something. He took his time and helped me with all my knobs. He is what we as customer like to see when we shop. I do alot of shopping in home depot im always there. So Thanks to employees like Tom it makes shopping in the stores worth your while.Thank you so much

2022-04-24Was told to go to customer service first to purchase 4 plastic adirondack chairs which were locked and stacked outside in front of the store. I was then told to wait outside and someone would unlock the chairs for me. After patiently waiting 30 minutes I then proceeded to find the supervisor to help me get someone with the key. She told me she had the key but needed to get someone else to unlock the chairs because she couldnt leave the inside of the store. I saw about 5 employees just standing around doing nothing but for some reason she couldnt get the deal done! After about 15 more minutes of waiting i finally gave up and went back to customer service to get my money back. As I was leaving the store the supervisor came outside with an employee to finally unlock the chairs but it was too late for me afer waiting 45 minutes. I told her to forget it I got my money back and she didnt seem to care or say sorry for the delay. I then drove to a local hardware store and picked up the same chairs which took me about 5 minutes. Moral of the story would be to shop local you get better service!

2022-02-04Worst Home Depot there is! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! You can do your due diligence by search online to make sure the store has the items you want in stock. You get there, comb through the isles, beg for somebody to help you, only to find out they don’t have you item or items in stock. This has been an ongoing issue for the past three years that I’ve been coming to this poor excuse for Home Depot. The entire store is completely disorganized. They don’t have anyone properly stocking the shelves or keeping track of their Inventory. They don’t even update the system after we discover the product isn’t in stock. I’m not talking about a small amount, 10 or more listed in store. This is why Amazon is doing so well.
