Easy to see right off of Bedford Ave servicing Bellmore and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Parking on the street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Moderately clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Good for sandwiches, burgers, and salads. The ice cream is the Star. We will most likely be going back.

Our 1st time here, we will definitely be back! Cute spot listed as a dinner but more like a neighborhood coffee shop. It was clean and quite busy, serving a variety of generously portioned, well presented food. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.But what really brought us here was the 100+ ice cream flavors. The flavors are home made and taste every bit of it. They are also very generous with the scoops & toppings. For the first time in my adult life I couldnt finish my sundae and had taken the rest to go.

I used to go here a lot as a kid with my parents especially the Sunrise hwy location and my folks would talk to the owner Marcelo who was outstanding and such a friendly guy. Unfortunately the Sunrise hwy location is no longer owned by him so we go to this one instead because of the service and quality of food they provide. Best item to get here hands down? Ice cream over a Belgium waffle. Cant beat it!

Our friends brought 2 Vegan Ice Cream cakes from Bellmore Int’l Delight to our annual “Friendsgiving” get together. WOW! What a delicious surprise. Great work. Now they need to add equally delish Vegan dining options to the menu. We’d become happy customers again in a heartbeat.

Great burger and fries, and I just had the fish sandwich, best fish Ive ever had. Amazing. Ton of ice cream flavors, my personal favorite is the batter blast. Its like a mix of a cake and ice cream. But the dessert I usually get is the strawberry milk shake which is perfect with a meal.

Came for the ice cream and was very pleased with the taste and the service! Granddaughter loved her chicken fingers and the fries were nice and crispy. Hubby enjoyed his bowl of pasta with meat sauce...half order was plenty!

The wait was long. Went Thursday evening. The space to wait is small. Dont sit in the front unless you dont mind other steering wishing you would getup and leave.Large variety of ice cream flavor.Friendly staff. Good portion size. Relax alone or with friends. We went here for some ice cream. It was great! There was 50+ flavors of ice cream to choose from in the front door. I was shocked! The options are great too. There are many that are one of a kind, but not wildly gross.I would absolutely suggest this place for ice cream!!
Came here with family and it was a great night. We had fried zucchini, burgers, salad and tried the UFO flavor gelato and everything was super delicious! All the Food was ready quickly and cooked exactly as we ordered.One thing to know is they are cash only.

The International Delight Cafe is known for its desserts, namely the icecream of which they have a wide variety. However the menu offers a wide variety of foods that always impress. Portions are larger than youd expect for a small diner and the price is very fair. The staff are always accommodating and cleanly. I travel over 45 minutes to frequent what I consider the best restaurant on Long Island.
OMG! They have a grilled shrimp salad thats so good! And well of course the waffles and ice cream... so many flavors to choose from you can try something different each time you go.😀
Such a hugeeee selection of gelato. You’ll literally need at least twenty samples because there is truly that many different flavors, and all so good!! Staff members are very friendly and the atmosphere is homey.
This place is the best! Food is fresh, fast and EVERYTHING is made in-house. The gelato is amazing too, but take your time because their are over 50 flavors to choose from and they make new ones all the time. I love this place. Never change.

This place has the best gelato. They have a lot of flavors and you can sample as many as youd like but they are all good. The food is also really good. The location is great and the service is great as well. If you go I cant say it enough, make sure you get some gelato!
What an amazing place.Felt very family oriented.There was a kids party the day we went pretty loud but it didnt bother us. Food is excellent as far as the realm of traditional foods such as salads, breakfast, burgers, and especially the quiches. The staff never messes up and ate real energetic. I wish they had a better variety of soups though. The thick hot chocolate is a must try as well as the homemade gelato. The bathrooms NEED MAJOR CLEANING THOUGH BEWARE AS THEY LOOK NEGLECTED. The toilets have residue in them and no liners in garbage cans. I was disgusted and wont return if they stay like this after this post, very sad because food is the best.
We drive 20 minutes to pick up gelato from here. The UFO? I dont recall the name but its really good! The staff is on point here, they meet and greet as soon as you enter. If you dont know what you want, or want to see what a particular flavor tastes like, and they have A LOT of flavors, they will accommodate and let you try all gazillion flavors till you find the one thats right for you. Tip the staff!!! they are a nice bunch of young kids who seem to understand hard work. The 4* is cause you dont have a store closer to me. Haha
Fantastic gelato.... They have so many choices. So many different flavors. They make fresh Belgian waffles that you can top with the gelato. It is also a sit down diner which I have yet to try but will eventually. The Rainbow cookie, apple brown bettie, and the raspberry chocolate truffle are amazing. They also have some flavors that are fat free or no sugar added. Whenever we have friends and family visiting this place is a spot we bring them to and love sharing the experience.

It was really good .not exciting.but me saying that doesnt mean it was bad .it was regular burgers and fries, Salads,etc etc etc our waiter was really good .staff was great.they all work very hard. gelato was good many flavors to choose from.great size portions.again gelato was good but not omg you gotta try this .I would have given it a four star but the bathrooms where very dirty.to me when you see that ,shows me management needs to step up and clean it him or her self , because like I said the staff was very busy.but with all that being said it was a fun night out with the kids and friends.one more thing please fix the potholes in your back parking lot...
Dont bother with food. Ordered a nacho platter, and it was the worst. They make their own tortillas which is a nice idea, however they used flour instead of corn tortillas which meant they came almost burnt,and with a terrible texture. What a waste, even Taco Bell can do it better. However, their ice cream IS Awesome, many flavors and really good. So, if going just go for their desserts that they do really well.
This is our go to place when we wanna grab a quick bite with the kids. Prices are good and the portions are huge. And the desserts are awesome! Great family place for lunch and dinner!

The gelato is obviously great, but Ill also put the diner offerings here against those of any local diner in the area. Ive been going to Lighthouse my entire life, and International Delight Cafe is both better and cheaper. Service is very attentive as well!
Oh man... most of the food we ordered was pretty bad. Loaded mac n cheese, ultimate tacodilla, greek omelette... Even the ice cream sundae we ordered came completely melted for some reason. Not sure if ill be going back. Only reason it isnt a 1 star is because the waitress was nice.
Went out for a family dinner and I ordered Moma’s Meatloaf. This dinner never came. Everyone else already finished their dinners and mine never came. Finally was offered the food at no charge, if and when it actually came. Refused the free food on principal. Paid the the other dinners and left. Issue not with the waitress, but with the kitchen staff.Also my wife’s dinner was wrong. Need to hire staff more than 14 years old!We eat out 3 to 4 times per week and will never go there again. I went home and made myself dinner

Food is decently good and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the reason this doesnt get 4 stars is because they ONLY accept cash. They have an ATM thats going to charge you to use it, so if you got caught by surprise...guess you give them more money. In this day and age, places that dont take another form of payment, or charge you to use an ATM that you need to use if you arent aware of this silent policy....its outdated and scammy.Id give them 1 star if the icecream wasnt so good.

Food was good but the level of customer service received today was horrible. I receieved my milk shake 20mins later then when i ordered it. I sat down with no straws. I felt like server was staring me down entire time. I had server with a lot of acne on her face. It takes forever to receive a check to leave this place. Worst experience ever. Wont come back here again!!! Thank you for your horrible sevice today!!!! Lady needs to be retrained her face is horrible and looks a mess shouldnt serve any where!!!Ew

The menu selection is nothing you couldnt get at a diner. Plus a diner would be cheaper. The service was terrible. You could get better service at a fast food restaurant. However, I can not comment on their ice cream which seemed to be delicious according to my meal members.

One of the best places on Long Island where to find Italian gelato, and you can choose to have gelato on freshly made waffles! You can have a quarter, half or a full one. Or if youre feeling brave you can have or share the World. A huge bowl of gelato filled with multiple scoops, toppings, mini waffles and mini cones! Wow

I actually live in Boston now, but every time I return home to visit my family we make sure to have lunch or dinner here. The food is always delicious and theres plenty of it (the pasta portions are insane! Food for days!) and theres definitely something for everyone. I admit I am guilty of ordering the same things over and over (the pasta carbonara is to die for, the BBQ beef on a bun is fabulous for a quick lunch) and I have never ever left dissatisfied. They lose one star because the service can sometimes be a bit flaky, but overall you get a great meal for a reasonable price.And the gelato, oh the gelato. damn my mild lactose intolerance!
Food is ok. Let talk about where the 2 star went. First went to credit card if you dont have a cash dont even come near to this place because they dont take credit cards come on who doesnt take credit cards. Second star goes to menus trust me they smell like old dirty mop go on smell it.

2021-10-12We came in with a pretty large group for the gelato and the staff was very patient and accommodating. So many great flavors and amazing quality of product(I got the stracciatella and Hawaiian heaven). Would definitely come back here!

2022-04-10OMG so I stumbled upon this place and boy am I glad. The food is fantastic, 100x better then a dinner. I ordered stuffed peppers which surprised me that it was on the menu. They were in the top 3 that Ive ever had in my life. Lets not even start about the desert. Today on 4/9/22 I had the best ice cream Sunday Ive ever had in my life. Out of this world.

2022-06-03So on the dessert side, you will find a massive array of choices of high quality Gelato. Their waffles are tasty and crispy, their milkshakes smooth and delicious, and the Gelato luxurious. No question about that.Unfortunately, the hot food is really just okay. The portions are off the charts so pricing is pretty good but I cant really rave about the hot food.Lastly, the staff is spectacular and really take the time to show their care for their family, AKA the customers. You can truly feel the love the employees have for the restaurant and the people who come in. The staff is what brings this store up an extra step in my books.

2022-06-11The Gelato is outstanding, the food? Just acceptable diner fare. The ambiance? Old, tired, baffling in its layout. Weve been coming here for years and I really want to give 4 or 5 stars, but I cant. This place could be a gem if a little time and effort was put into refining its image. Its lackluster from the street and interior, its prized Gelato is not highlighted like it should be. It would seem the owner is content on existing on the relatively small customer base that knows about its existence without any attempt to create a bigger market.... And thats just sad.

2022-05-17Get family place, good food, amazing dessert. Menu will have something for everyone (both food and dessert :-) Only accepts cash, worth the visit.

2018-10-26Foods is always good. Comfort food. Great place for families. Ice cream is excellent. Cash only , which is a pain. (2018-10-21) another visit. Same result. Chicken and Waffles was great.

2019-12-21Great waffles and gelato. Had half a waffle along with pistachio and tiramisu. The gelato is rich and creamy. Buddy of mine had half a waffle with banana gelato. Crispy waffle and quick service. Bummer is they take cash only so no credit is accepted.
