We have used this company before and the quality was great. A week before Christmas we placed a large order for our holiday dinner. Order was confirmed and heard nothing more. Today (Christmas Eve) my wife realizes that she never got a tracking number so we called customer service. Come to find out our order was cancelled because of “quality” and some items weren’t available. No email, no call, no oysters. Thanks Fulton for ruining our Christmas party!
I purchased their warm water tails. supposed to be 20 - 24 ounces each. what I got was 2 tails: one was 1.2 ounces and the other 1.3 ounces. completely misrepresented their product. and I never heard back from them either after I complained. will not buy from them again
I just received my first order from Fulton! I ordered on line on Saturday and it arrived at my door on Wednesday. Packed really well in a cooler w/ 2 huge ice packs. Not dry ice. I got the stock up salmon packets of 10 pcs for $71. The salmon is fresh, not frozen and the chunks are large and fat. We ate it for dinner last night. YUM! Excellent price and super quality! I am so happy! Cant wait to order again. I have been buying my salmon from Whole Foods for a long time. But, I feel better about this, and the pricing is comparable.
I purchased seafood online, I can’t praise Fulton Fish Market enough. Although my order got mixed up, I only had to pick up the phone and let them know, and my items were overnighted just in time for my holiday dinner. Customer service is superb and the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend their online shopping experience.
What a great experience, sent the bundle with lobster tails and fresh scallops as well as some salmon and salmon planks to two very special seafood lovers... It arrived fresh, on time and I was told they were the best scallops they had ever tasted. Thats a huge compliment as I consider them scallop connoisseurs! They have claimed they will now use the New Fulton Fish market as their go-to seafood supplier and I will as well. The icing on the cake? They didnt even ask me to write this review- it just deserved 5 stars for exceeding expectations.
No one cleans fish here,, dont believe when people say they do. If you are a woman DO NOT COME ALONE BECAUSE THEY TOTALLY IGNORE YOU! I will admit that I came late but that was on purpose so that I could ask questions, I needed to purchase a large amount of fish and needed it cleaned. So many of the people wouldnt even speak to me to know what I wanted. NO ONE HERE CLEANS FISH, and that fine but they were so rude. I was invisible. They lost out.
My order was due on 1/6 and arrived on 1/10It was rottenThe company hasnt responded to any of my emails, aside from an auto generated one on 1/6 telling me my order would be 1 day late. This is a real experience with this company. Do NOT order from them, ever!Beware!!!
I live in Utah state, ordered 7 pc of whole fish and absolutely delighted with super fast 2 day delivery service. Fish was delivered ideally , safe and secure with bunch of ice packs and with air vacuumed packaging ! The best service and fresh fish with great price . I already told my friends about this company and they are excited to try your products and service .
It was a fun experience with a very intense vibe. As a regular shopper, it will cost $7 per vehicle and you can turn onto Food Center Drive to access parking. It’s quite busy before closing if you go at 6 am because everyone is closing down their shops.Forklifts drive quite fast and recklessly so it is required to wear closed toed shoes.I recommend wearing thicker shoes that you don’t mind getting wet because there are frequently fish water puddles. They usually either sell in cases usually or for a certain amount of pounds (i.e. lbs of scallops, 10 lbs of cod).
12 Dozen Cherry Stones Clams - Free FedEx 2nd day air to California CoastFor years I mourned the loss of Live Cherry Stone Clams when I moved to the west coast. Out here, a manila clam or minced clam, or frozen fried clams are all youll find. For years I have researched wholesale distributors everywhere and the fact is that the clams exist, but they are too heavy to ship live. !2 dozen large cherry stones packed in insulated cold weigh 90 pounds. Federal Express NEXT day air costs $400 for this much freight from the Bronx to Monterey Bay. Fulton Fish Market ships them 2nd Day Air, packed perfectly, in sustainable ecologically friendly paper and non-toxic reusable frozen gel packs for free on minimum orders of $99. A c-note in two days cross country is like getting fresh live bivalve molluscs for free. Of course, if you prefer them overnight, the real cost of shipping is an additional four times the $99 invoice more. That was the cost I was facing for years from all other distributors. Only Fulton Fish Market brings the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Coast reliably and affordably year round on Weds-Saturday. Im just happy as a clam!
Buyer Beware! No pun intended!! Bait & Switch apparently a common practice! Second time my order for haddock was switched out for different fish. Last time Scrod this recent order they switched out haddock and put in more cod. Nice of them to let me know after being shipped. A simple sold out or not available on website would have been nice. Or, since I did check the box that said NO SUBSTITUTE! Maybe not just ignore that and add more to equal total bill.Very Slimy and fishy!! Really?
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS UNLESS YOU NEED TO DUMP THE MONEY IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. I ordered from them for years. This year, there was a problem with their website and they charged me 15 time for my $135 order!!! I had used my bank card so there is over $2000 on hold I cannot access in my account. I called them immediately- they said it would take days to resolve. I asked to talk to the manager - on hold then nope. I’ve called four times. I was told the CFO Sarah would call me. Hello??? Sarah has ghosted me as well. An over 2,000 mistake and she can’t get on the phone with me for an entire day?? I plan to take my business elsewhere and would advise you do the same. Customer service is...well non-existent.
My first order was last week. The order showed up and there was a issue that couldn’t be corrected.I called spoke with a delightful who after gave me a few options to remedy the situation. Having it reshipped was not an option so she issued a full refund. This order didn’t work out but Fulton Fish Market stepped up and make it right.I will be your customer again!
Definitely an experience to check out at, least one time, if youre a seafood fanatic. Parking is $7. When you head over there, male sure you either change shoes before getting back into your car or have something covering the floor of your car because the liquid from the market will stink up your car like rotten seafood after a couple of days.
We placed an online order for fresh fish from Fulton Fish Market. We picked the delivery day, the package was delivered in the morning. The ice packs were still frozen, the fish were portioned out perfectly two fillets in each vacuum sealed package (we chose to have them descaled & filet). The fish smelled FRESH and it tastes AMAZING! It has been challenging getting the fresh fish we want in Denver, CO. Now we have options. Thank you!!!
ALL types of fish & shellfish fresh daily...from all over the world...at wholesale prices!!! You MUST get there VERY early in the morning (middle of the night) as they are wrapping it up between 6am to 7am. They DO take debit/credit cards. Weve been getting our Christmas Eve fish from them since they were located at the South Street Seaport. They are now located in the Bronx.
Truly astounding how busy this place is. At 2:00AM it is a city into itself, and all manner of seafood and seafood related products are in evidence. I consider myself to be somewhat knowledgeable about seafood, and I learn more every time I come to the New Fulton Fish Market. Truly an experience.
The seafood in the market is very fresh and the variety is complete, but I have to say that its price is not cheap (some of the same products), I think maybe someone will not care, but I would like to say do not sleep at night, but also spend Expensive, not worth it, do not believe you can compare the Chinese supermarkets, of course, I often go to buy seafood, I am not open supermarkets, I just want those who want to buy small fish, as well as shellfish Help, you can go to Chinese supermarkets, cheaper, and will help you clean, but to buy tuna, salmon, sharks and other large fish friends, or to go here. There is a seafood market to buy seafood should ask how many price to buy fish bosss good eyesight can see if you are a big customer. Then there may be very busy, most of the boss is not very good attitude, they are only willing to answer a box or a large package of goods prices. Do not like a pound or a lot of money. Finally, I hope everyone happy shopping
The new Fulton fish Market is a excellent place to shop for the freshest seafood you could buy with in the five boroughs .it is open to the public. There are many vendors to choose from.pay for parking available. Very good experience, first time shopping there .you should call before going there if you have any questions. open In the early morning hours only during the work week. Not open on weekends or holidays. You could also get directions and phone number on Google maps .taste the difference enjoy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Fulton Fish Market!! I have scoured the country searching for a place that carries and delivers fresh cherrystone clams. You did not disappoint!! The clams arrived freshed and well packaged. They were delicious. The price was reasonable and I will definitely be ordering more, as well as other seafood items.
Fulton fish market is like Mafia zone. Very negative attitudes. Very unprofessional, no customer service at all. I purchased 1 box catfish which was 57 lbs. When we get in a local grocery at bronx we found only 48 lb. Please be careful about, J & K Seafood Inc. Anything you buy from them weigh them first. Do not believe this store.
Be prepared to freeze inside of the market. There are alot of fish companies to choose from, take your time, walk around and then decide. Ask questions, dont rush to buy anything if youre unsure.Wear warm clothing during the winter time; There is a $2 entrance fee and wear rain boots.

2022-06-06I live in south Jersey and couldnt find the trout I was craving locally. I took a chance and had it shipped from the market. I was absolutely the best quality trout I have ever had. I ordered it butterflied, and they were large, fresh and deboned. So happy with the order.

2021-01-09It was an amazing experience to visit The New Fulton Fish Market. There is mostly wholesale for restaurant owners, but a few vendors do sell their seafood individually. The space is really bright and wide inside and there are cars moving around fast, so you should be careful walking on the pedestrian walkway. The market is open from 2am to 7am Monday through Friday. The parking is $7. Be expected to wait in the car for a little bit if you arrive close to 2am. However, the cars do move fast enough to enter the market. We ended up getting scallops, oyster, shrimps and uni. We tried to cook everything the next day and they all tasted very fresh. We will probably visit again soon to try their fish, but firstly we need to find more friends to share with us lol

2022-02-25Never been here before, was a great experience, pay $7 at the gate and head to the warehouse where many vendor have their store front of all kinds of fresh catches of the day in bulk. Many restaurants come here for their menu items. I came to buy king crab legs for a family event, which came out cheaper to buy than a local store.

2022-06-10Very disappointed in clams. Tasted like water. No flavor. I thought they would be packed in clam juice rather than water. No better than what came from grocery store. Bluefish and bass to come.

2019-03-07This place is right across the water from Rikers Island and is in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. You pay $7.00 to get in for parking and there is lots of it. Things to watch out for: The fish market is just that. A busy place thats open Monday through Friday from 1am to 7am. Trucks must be unloaded and fish is being bought and sold. Walk only on the pedestrian paths because there are forklifts going in and out of the market to trucks being unloaded. Be alert and aware of your surroundings because of all the forklifts zooming by. Total nonsense of rude people. I talked to 5 seafood wholesalers and they treated me very very well. If I took a photo of the name of the company and posted it, its because I recommend them. There is a fish that I saw that I am a new fan of but I wont mention it. I dont want the price to go up. Go see my guy Josh at Caleb Haley at Unit 110 where they have everything and he patiently explained how the fish market works. Ill never buy seafood from Whole Foods again. Real talk.

2019-01-10Wholesale only. Only vendors with ice tables will sell per pound, but usually at a minimum. Anything in boxes is bulk. Come caffeinated, but dont expect much explanation. Bring wipes for hands or gloves since you should be hands on with the fish!

2019-02-22Pros -1. freshest fish and sea food you can find !! I have never seen fish this fresh in any grocery store/super market or even Asian/Korean stores.2. Most stores sell you by pound and not necessarily expect you to buy the whole box (at times 80 lbs of fish in a box)3. Everyone at the store and the fork lift operators and very friendly and never rush you and let you take your own time to explore and look around and check it out and will answer all your questions.Cons -1. Prices are not displayed explicitly - I am guessing this is partly due to supply/demand and seasonal changes and the bidding and so on. It would be convenient to check out the fish, without asking how much is this for every thing you find.2. $7 entry fee per car.3. Most stores charge 3% extra for credit card (some stores debit card also) transactions.Tips -1. Go early if you want the fish you would like.2. If you find something you really really like, before looking around buy it ! Chances are, by the time you come back after looking around, it’s gone !! :)3. Even if you don’t find something outside, ask the guys- at times they have it inside.4. Not all fish are fresh, some are frozen and even better some are individually portioned and frozen which works out great if you have a small family and big freezer.5. Many individual families (not necessarily who owns business / restaurants) do come to buy fish here.

2018-02-07This is the 2nd largest fish market in the world and the best show in the New York City area. It’s free to see and you can purchase world class fish at wholesale prices. You can also watch some of the best fish mongers in the world filet giant tuna. It’s worth going in the middle of the night. Make sure to walk all around and take your GoPro or DSLR! I love this market and the amazing people who work there and the spectacular fish they sell!

2022-03-29Danger! Dont risk your familys safety!Read these emails with Fulton Fish Market. You can see their repeated mistakes, including delivering rotten fish, having known computer issues, logistical issue, changes in product catalogs due to internal company issues, and broken customer promises and commitments. The company is clearly not operating properly, and in my opinion is showing signs of severe financial difficulties that are putting customers at risk.Apologies for dropping the ball on this is in response to their latest failure to deliver safe, unspoiled fish. You dont want to wind up in the ER, because Fulton Fish Market drops the ball again.Read through these emails.
