Its so nice to go and get work done on your car and be treated like family. Not often can you go get work done on your car and trust the staff to do their best. The Tire Warehouse in Clifton Park is a true asset to the Capital Region. I commute from Albany to get the best service in town. A guy named Joe at the counter is very knowledgeable, people friendly, and I recommend everyone give them a chance!! You WONT be disappointed!!
I went here based on there comments to reviews; seemed like they care about hospitality. Im glad I went, and will definitely return. They replaced my tired with the same model, which they had on stock. The wait was reasonable, the staff friendly, and the price fair. I hate finding a new place to take my car, but Im glad I did.Update: took my car in for my state inspection, twice. The first time they gave me great advice on where to get the transmission checked first. Then the second time for the inspection, they were so fast! They were friendly, as always, and even put the new registration tag in the window too. I love this place.
Friendly staff, fair prices, decent wait time. Specifically asked them to remove my spare tire (mounted on the front passenger) and mount the new tire to the rim sitting in the trunk. This request was ignored and they mounted the new tire on my spare. Just very annoying as I now have to get the new tire taken off my spare and remounted to the rim it was supposed to be mounted on.
Great prices and great service. If you need tires I would shop here first. Extremely professional. Every place I went wanted $1200 plus for 4 tires. I came here 4 tires, state inspection and 4 wheel alignment $905.
Had a blow out the other day on the highway. I called multiple places asking for prices and availability and every last one was Overly Rude and passive. It was so nice to hear the plesent voices that answered the phone at Tire warehouse. I got there and they had me fixed and on the way in a matter of minutes at an unbelievable price. I need to now replace the other 3 tires on my car and I definitely know where Ill be going!! Highly recommend these guys weather in a jam Or not!!
Really wish I could give a zero star review. Do not take your vehicle here. Just read the reviews and you will get an idea of how this place is ran. Absolute circus. I took my tire and rim here months ago because it was leaking and it sat outside for 4 hours and they never called me to tell me it was done. I showed up at 550 and my father put the rim in his truck thinking it was done. The guy scrambled looking for my rim. He walked out and told me no charge and that it was an easy job. They never touched my wheel and forgot about it. Then lied to my face and said it was an easy job. I decided to give them another shot today and took it there to get my 4 new tires put on, balanced and an alignment. My truck sat there for 4 hours and they called me at 515 saying they couldn’t get it done in time. They offered to give me a deal on the alignment and it would be done first thing in the morning. I’m not looking for handouts I’m willing to pay full price for good service. Absolute horrendous business and the owner should be ashamed of the sham he is running here. They would rip off a blind man if they had the chance. I will never be back and would never recommend anyone going here. The owner will most likely comment asking if they can make it right. They could offer me free service and I still wouldn’t take my vehicle back there. I have never once wrote a review about a place but this place deserves it.
Usually I plan ahead when is it time for me to get an inspection. This time I actually forgot so I had to Scurry around to try to find a location. I was in and out fairly quickly but then again I was one of the first people that was there at 7:30 this morning. If you choose to come here either make an appointment or try to get there first thing in the morning. It is 8:45 in the morning and when I walked out the door there was a three-hour wait for inspections
If you are searching for a tire shop in the Capital District look no further, hands down the best tire shop Ive been to. Very knowledgeable/skilled staff.
Not bad, they do all kinds of work on cars, carry most good tire brands, but usually are busy and can take a while.
Once again I feel I must try to overcome the prejudicial disadvantage auto repair places suffer on review sites.Its indisputably true, they are at a disadvantage. No one looks forward to their visit to the auto repair shop and then shares how special it was with their friends on social media afterward, as they do with restaurants, stores, and entertainment/recreation venues. If you are going to a car mechanic, things are bad to begin with, and people are going to be feeling negatively. This isnt fair to these establishments and people should stop and think before they vent ragefully in review forums (preventive maintenance can avoid those kinds of worst-case experiences). I expect dentists probably also suffer from this kind of prejudice on review sites.I went to the Tire Warehouse because I had a slow leak in a tire. I hoped it just needed to be patched, and it did. I came in late in the afternoon and had I needed replacements, I would have needed to come back. They counter people were up front about that, and fortunately, that was not necessary. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional. I was there less than an hour and my cost was less than $22. The lounge area was also nice, something that isnt always true with budget auto repair places (See Trevs Automotive).I am suspect of the spate of 1-ratings for this place. Dont be put off by them, check it out for yourself next time you need tires.
Frankly, I do not review businesses often but was so pleased with my experience a few weeks ago at The Tire Warehouse I felt they deserved a review on my behalf. First, let me explain that I had one brake light go out and then the other in the period of 6 months, so I can give a comparison of my two experiences. The first time it went out, I went to a major auto care chain (not the Warehouse). They took longer than they told me it would, didnt inform me when my car was ready so it was sitting out there for awhile before I even noticed it, and it cost me 50 bucks, which I felt was expensive even when considering labor since the part is only 8-10 dollars.When my other brake light went out 6 months later, I did not want to go back to the chain (obviously), so I decided to try Tire Warehouse. I was extremely and pleasantly surprised at how good the service was, especially compared to my experiences with other auto repair places in the past, not just the one I mentioned. The Warehouse originally quoted me around the same price as the auto chain on the brake light, which at that point I had accepted might be the going rate for getting your brake light fixed. However, when they finished the repair they only charged me the cost of the part, which was 9 bucks, or less than 1/5 the cost of the first places repair. I was extremely happy that even though they knew I had accepted that I might have to pay 40 odd bucks for the repair, they didnt try and cheat me when it turned out to be a simple job and charged me a really reasonable price. On top of that, the employees were very friendly and made me feel welcome, which I cant say has always been the case in other shops Ive visited...5 out of 5 Stars!
Awesome customer service! Called around for prices on tires and no one even had my size in stock except tire warehouse. They were also the lowest price around by far. No appointment was needed when I arrived I was taken right in and was out in under 45 min! While I was there I asked about a weird noise when I was braking they checked out and it was only brake dust build up and they cleaned and adjusted my brakes at no charge. Great experience for buying tires.
My family has been going here for years so they were the first place I thought of when my Honda began sounding like a diesel truck. I did some research and found out that most likely I had an exhaust leak. When I called for an estimate the guy was really rude to me on the phone. I understand that they can’t give an estimate with out looking at the car but when I asked for a ball park estimate he hung up on me.Yesterday I brought my car in and had the work done which turned out to exceed every general estimate I got from the internet. Also they said that my brakes were completely warn down. I have been bringing my car in for two years worth of routine maintenance and inspections. You would think they would catch this long before wanting $900 worth of repairs (mind you my car is stopping just fine with no noise!).Also I will add that the belongings I left in my car now all smell like cigarette smoke which I’m allergic to!
Poor service and communication. Called about having a tire mounted to a wheel to use as a spare. Was quoted a price and told it was in stock and could have it back the same day. Needed it for a road trip the next day.After dropping off wheel, was told it should be ready in an hour or so.5 hours later I hadnt heard from them so I called back and was told Hes starting it now will be ready in 30 min. Figured Id wait an hour to be safe. Stopped back over in an hour and then was told the tire wasnt even in stock and they were waiting on the truck from Queensbury to deliver it. Was assured it would be done THAT DAYWas then called 30 min prior to closing and told delivery truck then broke down.Had to take different vehicle on trip due to not having the spare tire I was promised.Then when I went to pick up the tire a few days later, they charged me a Tire disposal fee on the invoice. Wheel was brought in with NO TIRE on it.This place clearly needs to get their act together. If they cant manage 1 tire properly on an un-mounted wheel, I would really worry about how they actually handle more intricate repairs.UPDATE: 10/22/18Owner replied to my review as all can see and asked for me to contact him at the provided e-mail address.I responded right away, and as of yet, I have received NO response. Pretty clear that the management only responds on Google so it looks like they are addressing the issue, but they are not. (At least in my case)
My experience was positive. My rear axle seal started to leak again after they had repaired it 15 months ago. Not under warranty at that point, but it should have lasted . Joe, their rep, took care of it and had it fixed completely at no charge to me. Zero. So, with all the negative comments I thought Id take the time to report something positive.As a business owner, I know too well that the angry people are quick to the computer and the happy ones sit on it.Plus, Ive gotten tires here many times and their prices are as good as any.
The brakes in my 2015 Subaru were in bad shape. Calipers froze , pads worn and noisy. I called the night before to make an appointment but the gentleman on the phone said just bring it in, well see what you need. I have been coming to tire warehouse for a few years already so I knew what to expect. Well I needed alot! I was given the option of only replacing the minimum but was offered the better way also. I dont take chance so we did the whole thing. They quoted me a figure and the final totally was right on. The poor guy who rang me out seemed genuinely apologetic about the how expensive it was. When you are facing a big bill and a long repair time you just need to be patient and understanding . I left the car with them to do what was needed...and they did. Couldnt be happier and am totally relieved that my car is safe again. I just have one question...what does the tire warehouse club do for me?
Poor Customer Service and Follow up. Recently my husband got a quote online to get our tires replaced, we get our quote back with the advertised time frame. Two weeks go by before Im able to call to make an appointment (this is the holiday season you know), tell the guy who answers that I got a quote online and wanted to schedule an appointment for the tires to be replaced. I was told no problem they can do it anytime, give my name and make an appointment for that weekend (a few days later). Arrive about an hour before my appointment time and am told that they dont have the tires in stock, but they can order them for Monday. Ill admit that I was annoyed but whatever mistakes happen sure I can make the next week work. They take my number and tell me theyll call when they come in on Monday. Monday rolls around with no call, Tuesday evening comes and still nothing so I call them to find out if the tires arrived. Nothing in stock but they would call me right back with an update on the order status. Its now Wednesday and I still havent heard from them, but Ive decided to take my business elsewhere. If a company cant call to admit they made a mistake there is no way Im trusting them with my safety.
I have bought tires from the tire warehouse for over 15 yrs. and have always been very happy with the service and competitive pricing. But in the past 3 years something is wrong here. My last 2 sets of tires for my wifes car and my truck after getting home we notice one of our lug cover s is missing . This happened about 6 months apart. didnt think much of it at the time just a mistake and we did get them back . They even had to order mine from the dealer because they were unable to find it. My son bought set of 4 tires recently for his car and 2 months later after getting his car inspected he was informed by our mechanic that whoever put the tires on the car must have been drunk. The tires were installed backward with the wrong side facing out. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN IN A TIRE DEALERSHIP ? My son went back and they did take care of the problem but of course he was treated like he was the problem. Where was the supervision or management in this issue ???
I bought 4 tires remind the and and when I got there they charge more than a quoted me on the phone. When my wife picked up the van all the tires are inflated at different tire pressures and they pushed her away not checking them. Really bad customer service. When I called to talk to a manager he never responded to me. I ignored me after I made several attempts to talk to him plus an email. I will never ever buy tires from them again and this is after Ive bought many tires from them. Everywhere else will do attire match price and youll get better service.They posted the response and emailed them to get it resolved but no response from them again. They dont care just to save face.
Bought new tires for our SUV here last winter. They did have a great price installed and mounted, compared to other places, so we went with them.Post install, the SUV would vibrate at highway speeds. Brought it back at least 4 times for a rebalance, each time, was told the issue was fixed. The SUV still had a shimmy/vibration at highway speeds. Since the car was not used often on the highway, we just stopped trying to get it fixed until spring.Once spring came, we took the SUV to a local Jeep dealer to get the tires road force balanced as a last resort. All four tires failed the road force test, so the Jeep dealer did what Tire Warehouse clearly did not--dismounted them from the rim. The Jeep dealership said the tires were FULL of water--the most theyd ever seen in their many years of vehicle service...and once the water was out and cleaned up, the tires all balanced out fine. We havent had a single issue with vibration since. And that was $100 out of our pockets...I attempted to contact them about this but never got a reply..
Wish I could give zero stars. I brought my car here to get looked at for a squealing sound... he calls me and tells me I need new calibers rotors break pads and it’s gonna be nearly 1,200$. He told me if I drive my car my tire could set on fire. I had my car towed to another shop for a second opinion he said everything was in perfect condition the noise I heard was coming from my window/door which only cost me 400$. Soooooo I’m pretty sure tire warehouse doesn’t have a clue on what they’re doing or they try to sell you anything. I literally would have paid 1200 for nothing and still had a sound coming from my door.
I have been going to Tire Warehouse for years! Always great service and super low prices on tires! The showroom is huge and comfortable, they do almost everything, and they use quality parts. Mike always goes out of his way to make sure Im taken care of, but now Ive gotten to know everyone and they are all very good. I like the no BS approach. The price is the price... there is no add this and add that. When I first started out as a customer, I shopped around and found everyone else has all theses extra charges that they dont mention until you get there! I was shocked how they tried to reel you in and then add a bunch of stuff. I dont even bother calling around anymore. You really cant go wrong here!!
Just had tires put on my mother-in-laws car. They quoted me an installed price of $149.95 per tire. Now I dont know about you, but I expected an installed price to mean it covered all these extra charges like tire disposal fee and NY tire fee and tax. When they installed them I found out the price didnt include those things and I got socked for an additional $15/tire. I asked them why the installed price didnt include everything. The person was rude and said What did you expect? You live in NY state of course you are going to have to pay those things. I said I know that but I thought that they should be more forthcoming about the total price on the phone. He said Everybody wants everything for nothing. Buyer beware, when asking about the cost of tires make sure that you get the whole story from these guys because they wont offer it up.
This was my first, yet incredibly enjoyable experience at the tire warehouse. I initially called them to get a quote on two tires, which, are usually very expensive and their price was 20 dollars lower per tire than any other place. Also, what I really appreciated was their honesty, I am a 25 year old girl and some of these other auto shops try to take advantage of a girl like me, this place was the absolute opposite, they took care of me. Replaced wiper blades and lights all at extremely fair and reasonable prices with a smile on their face. I would recommend anyone to go there, especially women. Fair, friendly and affordable. Kyle was absolutely great, even Mike and Tom helped too.
Fair customer service. First come, first served. Very reasonable pricing. I would definitely go back for their service work. A family member also got a good deal on tires.
I must say they honor their motto to guarantee the lowest prices in town and are willing to meet or beat any other advertised price on tires and they were very helpful and knowledgeable they had rare Tires of mine in stock in plenty at the lowest prices anywhere based on my own independent research and they got the work done fast. I came here yesterday to get a quote for tires. John took my information then stated I would need to come back as they only had 3 at this location and needed to get the 4th tire from Queensbury. I followed up this morning and was told come in at noon and it would be there. Once I arrived I was in and out in about 90 minutes. Everyone I spoke with yesterday and today was courteous and respectful.
Took my car there twice for leaking air in the tires I bought here and both times it wasnt fixed. Took it to my mechanic and they cleaned the tire bead to fix the problem the right way. Also when my car was being worked on, the staff put my seats all the way back, fully reclined, and left my driver side window down when parking it in the lot in the middle of February. I will not be coming back. Also, their wait times are atrocious. Youll be sitting there at least an hour regardless of an appointment.
Stay awayI went in to get 2 new tires for my car because of the misalignment of wheels had turned them bald. I was quoted $240 install price across the counter.I signed up for their club membership since I was promised a $69 wheel alignment. After a while, one of the mechanic came and told me I needed fresh brakes on front and rear. He said usually it costs $380 but he will give me a break if I do it all. I have known by watching the shows on TV to not go for anything without a second opinion. I shot him down on that.Then they came back and said that wheel alignment cannot be done because some bolts have to be ordered to align the camber. They did not have the parts in store so I would have to come back.When it came for paying my bill, I see an invoice of $405. The salesperson charged me $299 for the tires. $69 for wheel alignment that they did not do and some more charges for disposal of tires and taxes which is standard. Going by consumer law, it is considered a fraud if they charge me for something that they havent done (wheel alignment) because they cannot adjust the wheels because of frozen bolts.This is getting long, so I will cut short to my next visit when the bolts showed up. They were going to align the wheels since they have the bolts now. I was going to pay just the bolts price which they said was $79.I see a service manager run his mouth to his fellow colleagues about how bad yesterdays day was and he doesnt want it repeated today. Since its a tough job, I didnt think much of it till I got full brunt of it.1hr into the job the service manager asked me to come over. He said that the rear arm needs to be changed altogether and the total cost of it installed is $750. I said that this job is getting into a money pit and said I would not like to go ahead with this. So now I just wanted to get his attention that I paid for wheel alignment prior visit and it has not been done. He wanted to do nothing with it. He wanted me out of sight and out of mind. He said I have lots of service requests and that if I keep talking to him then the $750 job will be $800 :-)I was bemused by this. All this in front of about 8 customers. I tried several times to get his attention on the $69 and he finally said to talk to Joe who was the salesperson who charged me for the invoice.Thankfully Joe reversed my charge and I got the $69 wheel alignment monies back.I kept my cool and walked out of the store never to return. I thank my stars that even when I paid the $60 additional for 2 tires than the quoted price, I saved myself $380 front brakes+$380 rear brakes +$79 rear camber bolts+$750 rear arm, and more so I saved myself the aggravation which is priceless.
Do not go here unless you have a second mechanic to look at you car first before them!They will tell you that you need way more done than you actually do so they can charge you unbelievable prices for barely adequate work. I dont see this place lasting alot longer under the manager Rick. He is very rude, I work for a company who brings their vehicles here and when I was there to pick up a company truck I overheard 2 mechanics saying fix the axle of a car even tho it didnt need it because it had been a slow week for them and they needed the money ..... Wow. What a scam. Ive switched to Monroe Muffler on rt. 9 and they have been a blessing!
I just purchased a set of tires and an alignment. Their prices were slightly better than some other local shops but they had the tires in stock. They said they would hand torque the lug nuts after lightly tightening them with an impact wrench. I checked them immediately after getting home and most were way over torqued. Im guessing they tightened them too much with the impact wrench and then the torque wrench clicked because they were over torqued. I had trouble removing some of them with a breaker bar and some were correct. That is a sure fire way of warping the rotors. They were friendly and easy to work with. I just wish they would pay more attention to the details.
I have gotten my last 3 sets of tires from the tire warehouse and they have been great every time. Always professional and courteous staff. Large comfortable waiting area and nice facilities.Last week I walked out of work to find a flat tire on my car and thought I was going to be stuck because most places were closed and the tire warehouse closed in the next hour. I called them and explained the situation and since I was pretty close to them, they actually sent someone with a portable compressor and they were able to fill up the tire and get it to hold enough to get it to the shop. They were pretty busy with all the bays full so there was a little bit of a wait... I was worried that they would not get to it before they closed. However, the staff actually stayed after closing to ensure they they got me back on the road and safe. After a great experience like that, I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else!
Worst customer service. My boyfriend went in two days ago to get his tires installed, and they were nasty and sarcastic to him. I called yesterday morning, they put me on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called back, and they immediately answered. John took the size of my tire that I needed and said he would call me the following day when the tire came in to get them installed. No call. I called this afternoon and they asked me information that was supposed to be taken (my last name, etc.) and the guy clearly had no idea what was going on. They said they would call me once John was off his lunch break. No call. I call back again to speak to John, and they put me on another hold. I waited ten minutes until it was clear that they had no intention of answering my call. I would never recommend this place.
Had a wonderful experience here, I needed tires in a hurry from running over a nail and I had a wedding to attend the next day. I didn’t want to break the bank and Steve the assistant manager was very accommodating and helpful through the entire process. Will definitely be recommending this place to my family!
We may not be the most clean cut people in the industry, We will how ever do our very best to accomplish our goals and keep your car in top-notch condition. I will never go back. Got an online quote for $95 per tire. When I called it was $120. (I printed the original quote and the did honor it ) Took them two hours to put the WRONG tires on my car, which I only discovered bc they didnt put my summer tires back in the car. Meanwhile, they tried to sell me a brake job (second opinion coming up). Dont go here!
Not good. This place used to be decent but i think the management change has affected service and quality. Last summer i paid close to $1000 for a brake job (that i was estimated $750 for) which was described to me as a premium brake service and i have had nothing but trouble with the brakes. After dealing with months of squealing i found a new mechanic and it was discovered that the premium brake job was done with some pretty cheap parts. I have a buddy who is a mechanic as well and he said for the price i paid these pads should be much quieter then they are.Anyway i wont go back. If youre in Clifton Park go to Gils. Service is way better and they havent tried to strong arm me into work i dont need.
Service was good. Perhaps a little slow. Had I known it would be over an hour to get 1 tire mounted and balanced i wouldve grabbed a snack and toy for my son.
I dont know how anyone could give 1 star to this crew.. Some guy at the counter.. Named Joe i believe.. Was very funny and professional at the same time. Another guy Brian, very tall and slender..(he might be Irish) with red hair..also made sure my needs were taken care of and understood my time constraints. My car was diagnosed I am honest manner and fixed without hurting my bank account. Prices are always fair and the excellent customer service at the counter is a plus.
Worste experience I have had in a long time , first the young man didnt understandfor ask how to use the electronic E brake just slammed the gas down until it broke loose, second my black rims have scratches all over them. The manager Joe Krause, he was no help at all and rude , who told me I did it. He said they can be repaired not replaced ..... I have a numbered car not a regular run of the mill. Joe Krause should not be the person who does customer service , oh and nothing was done not even 1.00 off nope full price. Worste ever
I dont usually post complaints but this one is well earned.I dropped off a set of snow tires already mounted on wheels, previously purchased at TW. They were not holding air. I told them no rush (mistake) and they said they would call when ready. 8 days later, still no call. I stopped into the shop and they had no record, but the tires were sitting right where I left them. Promised me that they would call by EOD and would be ready. No call. Next day I called again with same response. No call. Stopped in 2 days later (total of 11 days have passed) and had still not done any work - again, will call by EOD. Finally, stopped by again on day 12 after being on hold for 15 minutes. In fact, when I walked into the shop I was still on hold. They were busy, but I just stood at the counter waiting for someone to pay attention. After about 5 minutes, I found my tires right where i left them. No more chances. I took my tires and headed out, NEVER to visit this shop again.
Vehicle had very loud road noise that my mechanic attributed to a scalloped tire. Went to Tire Warehouse in Halfmoon and was prepared to replace all 4 tires. Sales person said that the road noise was attributed to a leaky muffler and quoted almost $400 to replace. Said I only needed one tire. I said thank you but I dont want a new muffler now but please do NYS inspection. He said I cant inspect with a leak in muffler as it wont pass. This is where he crossed the line from good sales work to sell a muffler vs. lying to me about the inspections. I took it to another shop and they inspected and passed the vehicle. Incidentally, road noise reduced by 75%. Having 3 more new tires would have reduced all of it. Not happy with being lied to and will not go back to them. Cant blame the whole organization but this particular sales guy was wrong!! Future business going elsewhere.
I had all four tires replaced on my car along with an alignment. Their knowledgeable staff and prompt service was an excellent experience. I will return with more vehicles in the future.Thanks Guys!
Horrible service!! I was promised 2 tires by 2 pm today. By 3 pm I was told the truck delivering my tires hadnt even left the Clifton Park store. I made arrangements to get my car in at that store instead of waiting til they decided to move faster than a snails pace. They got my car in quickly but an hour and a half later Im STILL waiting for two measly tires to get mounted and put on. In the mean time, the guy who started working on my vehicle gets 2 other customers, who arrived AFTER me, hooked up with all 4 of their tires! Horrible customer service!!! Dont go here unless you have all day to wait!!!!!
Rented a U-Haul from there last weekend. The experience was terrible on both ends. I reserved my truck, appliance dolly, and furniture pads over a week in advance of my pickup date. When I picked the truck up I found out they didnt have an appliance dolly. When I asked why they didnt contact U-Haul or myself to say they didnt have what I reserved the guy at the counter proceeded to tell me we just hand out keys you have to talk to u-haul. The guy who pulled my truck around jumped out and literally ran past me while muttering youre all set under his breath without ever making eye contact. I guess they dont care to show you anything about the truck or check inside the cargo area with you like other u-haul locations do. I had to find another location that had the dolly I needed, all the while wasting the time I planned for packing/moving, and the guys at Tire Warehouse did not care one bit. Not having been there for car service before, you would think they would want to make a good impression to gain a potential new customer. But no, they couldnt care less about customer satisfaction and seem to think they have better things to do than rent u-haul trucks. If they hate it that much, they should just drop the u-haul thing altogether, because I certainly hate them for it now too.
Let me start off with there is a reason everyone in this building doesnt have a name tags. They are all slippery snakes here.I was in today they broke a wheel study on 2 different tires then they told us it was our fault. I asked if they were going to help with the new problem they created and then they broke a tire sensor and told me i also had to pay for that my car had no issues prior. When i asked for a manager the man came to the counter told me it was not there problem and i need to pay and get the f out of his store while the work was being done. I did not feel safe when the man working on my car told me he was not going to balance my tires.i drove my car there SAFE with no problems they made me leave with 2 broken wheel studs. They also stole 2 lug nuts. Saftey should always come first and the fact that they dont care about safety needs to be known. I dont treat my dog the way i was paying cash to be treated i will never go back to clifton park tire warhouse nor will anyone i know... I recorded 3 videos the day i was in the shop.. I may post them on youtube or contact the news channel if i dont receive contact from the owner nobody needs to deal with being treated like this.
I drove to this shop with a emergency on Friday June 2, 2017. I had my 2012 Kia Forte ex start smoking from under the hood on the passenger side, along with my steering wheel very unmanageable when it came to turning. So upon arriving I was greeted by a non mechanic (secretary) who asked me to park it, which I did. When I walked into the shop a customer who had seen the smoke suggested my problem was the power steering. So after about 30 minutes a older gray haired man took my car to the bay to put it on the lift to be able to find out what seemed to be the problem. They informed me my high pressure hose for the power steering had cracked from wear and tear. Know mind you two weeks earlier a new engine was put in because of a recall, so I told the guys at the counter that with 80,000 miles on the car and a new engine just put in seemed a bit strange for supposed ware and tear.!!! They assured me that they see this all the time. So I said well thats good that its just the hose seeing the pump would be a lot more, they hemmed and hawed An said well sometimes the hose is more expensive then the pump.... I was beyond annoyed at this point. So long story short they estimated me for over 1,100.00 dollars for a hose and a power steering pump and labor. I said you guys cant be serious when I googled the parts I came up with 120.00 for the hose and 249.00 for the pump. I decided not to do business with them and left. I then Went to my local mechanic this morning Monday the 5th of June 2017 in mechanicville and not only was quoted half the price from these scammers at the tire warehouse but.... the old man at the tire warehouse left the cap to the power steering fluid on my engine !!!! It couldve caused a huggggg problem to my car!! Also my mechanic seen that the high pressure hose was never secured back in place when the new engine was put in, making this the dealships responsibility. So at the end of the day the dealship is paying Sheps Auto to do the work on my car, and gave me a rental vehicle till the car is done.!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY CHARGE 100 % MARK UP ON PARTS AND LABOR MEANING IF A PART COST 100 DOLLARS THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 200 DOLLARS.!!!!! Hope they get put out of business for there horrible service and lack of decency toward hard working people !!!!
Price is fine but I sat in the waiting area for almost an hour before they told me that the tires they ordered for me were the wrong size. Now I gotta wait for them to put all my old tires back on the car and come back again tomorrow and so this all over again.These are busy times. This is not easy to deal with.
This is a long review, so bear with me, I promise its worth the read. I deal with cars a lot. I have 3 along with a truck and a motorcycle. I also deal with people in the automotive industry a lot. Although I usually work on my own cars, I couldnt do this because I dont have a tire machine or balancer. This was the absolute worst car experience Ive ever had. I went here because they had the best price ($21 per tire rather than $25 most other shops charge to get tires mounted).After waiting an hour and a half, my car was finally pulled into the garage, and another hour later, it was finally done. The rude men that worked there finally gave me the keys and told me the car was ready to go. After walking outside, I dont see the car, so I walk into the garage to see it still on the lift. They are extremely slow, disorganized, and rude.Also, I should mention, that during my 2.5 hours there 2 other interesting things happened.1) A lady picked up her car (had tires mounted Im assuming) and returned back 20 minutes after leaving saying her TPMS light had come on. After waiting 15 minutes they fixed it and she was on her way.2) A man who called in advance was told to leave because they said itd take too long to mount his tires and they were going to close soon. He was told that if he came in before 5:00 they would install the tires, but after waiting there for 40 minutes, they came out and told him to leave. After he argued with the staff for 10 minutes (apparently it was his birthday and his buddy came with a truck to bring his new rims since they wouldnt fit in his sports coupe), they finally agreed to mount tires on his new rims.Back to my car, on my way home, the TPMS light came on in my dash. Luckily, since I know a lot about the car, I was able to ensure the proper amount of air was in the tires and reset the TPMS (most new VWs have this button in the glove box), eliminating the indicator light. Next time I have to have tires installed I will absolutely avoid this place at all costs, there are plenty of other friendly places around. Im just hoping this can help someone else out and avoid the problem myself and the other 2 people mentioned above had.I hope this will help some of you guys avoid a bad experience.Thanks for reading.
No better place for tires...no matter the kind!Just had a lawn tractor tire plugged. 10 minutes. Replaced my truck tire last week. 17 tire $154. valve, mounted, complete. Best price out of all tire places in area!
Went in because needed front brakes and the guy told me I would be back with the same problem unless I had the rear brakes replaced as well. Well, six months later I go to a different garage for a vibration problem and he tells me the rear brake pads have never been replaced and are original to the car and should likely be replaced. He shows me the worn pads. This last place is a mechanic in my home town who is trust worthy. The Tire Warehouse charged me for work they never did. Checking into possible recourse.
Honest people. I had a nail in a wheel. In another place in Clifton Park they said it was not fixable, and a new tire was more than $400. In The Tire Warehouse the new tire was only $120, but they said it was not needed because it was fixable. $20 instead of $400...
Second trip for a simple alignment. Sadly my vehicle drove better with bald snow tires before they got their hands on it. After I got the vehicle back the first time, it drove worse than a 20 year old f-350 farm truck. I mean, tons of play in the wheel and the vehicle felt downright dangerous to drive. Oh and that was with BRAND NEW TIRES INSTALLED RIGHT BEFORE!!!! My second appointment was for 8am(first vehicle on the rack). I was on time and yet a full hour later, my car still sits exactly were I parked it. I asked the desk when it would be in as I made it clear when scheduling, that I would only make a first thing in the morning appointment because I had an appointment for work at 10am. They told me it would be done and yet theyve spent an hour of my day already. So, if you have hours to waste, this is the place for you & your vehicle. If you are someone like me and someone tells you they will have it done but clearly cant keep to what they say... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing your vehicle someplace professional. Like I said, 2 trips for them to fix their half-ass alignment job. Corporate will be the next place Ill call being that they cant hold to their word. Just in the time Ive written this review another 20 minutes have passed and I am going to have to get my keys back or I will miss my work appointment. I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST COMING HERE EVER!!! ITS SURELY NOT WORTH THE $20 SAVINGS!!!Part 2: As I go to get my keys without services being performed, the desk proceeds to tells me that my car is about to go in for the work. They then proceeded to tell me that they didnt even have an alignment technician on the clock nor available yet for when my appointment was set.... SO THEY SET AN APPOINTMENT KNOWING I HAD A TIME FRAME, WHICH I CLEARLY EXPRESSED AND YET THEY MAKE APPOINTMENTS THAT CANT BE PERFORMED.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THEY NEED TO PUT THE PIPE DOWN AND START WORKING. THIS TIREWARHOUSE IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL TIRE STORE IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT AND SURROUNDING AREA!!!!! Calling Corporate as soon as they open! Lets just hope they are too baked to actually get my alignment right this time!!! Absolutely disgusted with my experience here!!!! I will SURELY NEVER spend another dime here!!FINAL UPDATE: They have officially ruines the way my vehicle used to drive. Completely wastes money paying them for a alignment and still having to bring my vehicle to anothwr place to fix Tire Warehouses failure. I wouldnt trust them with a shopping cart...
Went to get my catalytic converter fixed.Was told a total of two hours to get the parts and get it fixed.Nearly four hours later(3 hours and 45 minutes) it was finished.Was charged to much.Found out their competitors charged less for the same service.When approached them about it they slammed there competitors about them using inferior products and saying there workers were at best b grade players.Very unprofessional.Previous times i have visited they did a good job for minor things..But avoid if you have major repairs.
Great price, saved $60 over competitors and was in and out fairly quickly without an appointment. They enrolled me in their plate club which is totally free and I got additional savings on the spot. Why go anywhere else?
Horrible customer service. Was told could bring car right in over the phone, just to show up and be told its a 3 week wait.
David Blue sabotaged my truck after i brought it in and paid $1,100 for a new wheel system- he left the steering fluid tube unplugged- i bring it back- there’s a gouge in my door and the alternator was not plugged back in causing my alternator to blow. I called multiple times to be told “Joe” would call me back- never got a call.I believe it was purposely sabotaged so they could make money off a woman with a truck. They have until tomorrow to respond to me or I’m calling the police to report the damage and file charges for attempted vehicular manslaughter. My truck stopped at 55 miles and hour on the high way and almost killed my entire family. Now Joe blocked me after i sent him my vehicle report proving the damages were caused by Tire Warehouse. Scam artists!
0 STARS!! The Owners of this shop DO NOT give a damn about you or your vehicle. I brought my VW GTI there to have my CV boot done and they recommend i have my axle changed. I agreed to having my axle changed so i payed for a new one and also had already purchased the CV boot previously. Then the mechanic says hes done . i get in the car with the manager for a test ride and all of a sudden my ABS light is on and i hear grinding. so we go back I look and the idiot left mechanic wire hanging off my shock which tore the ABS wire, then I find a ding in my rotor and ask what that was from. he says oh i dropped the old axle on it. so they order me a new rotor and then just rigged up the wire for the ABS sensor. now after all this Im driving down the thruway and my Axle comes out of my transmission and bangs up the tranny case. i have to get it towed off the thruway.. then tow my car back to where i live to the dealership i had just gotten the car from 3 weeks before hand and am still making payments on. then Tire Warehouse tows it back up to their shop and 3 weeks later they fixed it again.(just put a new axle in and didnt replace the tranny) the very next day the axle came out of the transmission AGAIN!!!!! I have pictures of all the metal shavings under my car and no bolts left. its been 5 months and I still dont have my car fixed and am struggling to get to work everyday. Im still working on figuring out how to get them to do the right thing but they refuse to pay for the vehicle to be fixed.
Oil Change: Time in: 2:15PM - Time Out: 5:17PM....wife left sitting in the lobby with the kids. i feel like we have more patience than most people these days but cmon...Short Staffed, i get it, it happens. she was never notified that they were short staffed until SHE got frustrated enough to ask why it was taking so long...if its going to be over 3 hours to change the oil because of YOUR short staff, it might be worth letting your customers know...unbelievable
My truck was sent to this place from a local dealership. supposedly they did a ton of work right before i purchased the truck. Two days after i purchased the truck the work they did came apart...whole rearend (which they claim they fixed) came apart blowing seals and leaking everywhere. I called the dealership only to hear them say its Tire Warehouses problem. I called tire warehouse to hear them say its the dealers problem. Is it also the dealers problem that Tire warehouse inspected this vehicle with NO license plate lights amongst other issues,more serious issues they claimed they fixed? what a joke!
Shady as hell...called, called, called , finally went there....quoted a price..called called...tires never arrived...called again.... got the same tires 2 days later....(tire rack) and installed. $150 cheaper!!!!
I wish they would let me choose no stars, if you go to any tire warehouse you will be sorry. They are all incompatant mechanics they try to screw everyone over. There is a reason why NYS Wont let them do inspections anymore, they are all scam artists. They charge you for things they dont do. Notice they dont respond to negative feedback.
Very upset at the fact that when my son brought his car in for inspection today, the mechanic broke the stud to the hub while removing a tire, admitted to breaking it then told my son he had to buy a new one. How can a company break something and charge the customer to replace what they broke. Very disapointed.
Waited over an hour to get my tire looked at cause it was loosing air only to have the low tire pressure light come back on the next morning.And they never put my valve cover back on.Use to go there all the time but seems like new staff now so wont be back
Can I give less than one star? I dont have a whole lot to say about these guys other than that theyre rude. I called looking for information on snow tires and was told they didnt have time to compare them for me and hung up. There are plenty of other shops in the area willing to HELP customers make a good decision.
Louis was very knowledgeable and very friendly and professional. I had a 2.5 HR wait, but being as other places had waits of 5-6 hrs, I considered myself lucky. Great service.

Went to get a NY State Inspection done. I was lied to, that i had get sidemarkers replaced for the inspection. After confronting that NYS DMV site states that sidemarkers are not part of the inspections i was told that it is only $150 and i should just pay up.Not very pleasant experience.

Tried like 5 of the major tire companies locally (had an emergancy flat) on labor day weekend ... no one had tires I needed in stock ... or 4 hour wait or were crazy expensive to mount 2 tires for me (one quotes $600 ... I walked in, dude at the counter at tire warehouse was friendly told me all deals and bam I was in like within 20 minutes .. outstanding .. now I know why my dad used to go to these guys for years . Very professional and courteous. Rik the manager is very friendly and will pull out all the stops to make you happy. Not only the lowest prices in town, but the quality of service and work is top notch.
After 2 tries for a slow tire leak, I gave up and went to another tire shop. They found and fixed the leak.
I have spent thousands here on a few different vehicles over the years and so has my family. Im not sure what has happened but as staff has changed so has the quality of the service and standard if management within this establishment. Just sad.
It is difficult to get service here as they do not make apointments, service is cased kn a first come first serve basis. They will bend over backwards to get you in to sell you tires but service after the fact is terrible. Be weary of the low initial price if you are looking g for service after the fact

2021-10-17As you can see in the picture my passenger wheel is still visibly crooked despite bringing my vehicle to them for a four-wheel alignment. I made it very clear that the camber and caster needed to be adjusted as I had went to another shop and they did not have the tools to do this, and the ball joints had been replaced. I spoke a few times with Tom about this when I set up the appointment, and even specifically put a note in the dropbox with the keys. The morning of the appointment I received a call from Joe wanting to know what the car was in for. I again explained what I put in the note that was clearly not read other than my phone number. I never received an alignment printout either showing me the wheels were correct. I didnt even receive a call when the car was done! I happened to drive by and noticed the car was moved after a few hours and called, thats when I was told it was all set! Since the other shop already did a toe alignment I think this shop literally just checked the same toe alignment and charged me. I also believe this because the markings that I put on the nuts that control the camber and caster adjustment were not touched.

2022-05-11If I could rate this store below zero I would. I went into the store to get tires for my Suburban. I met with a guy named Joe who is the manager. He provided me with a quote for 4 tires and stated for me to call a day or two in advance so the tires could be there for install. I called and Joe is on vacation and nobody can say when he will be back. They wont honor the printed quote they gave me because they say there not in stock as they never were in stock because of the cost and size and brand of the tires. I spoke to a non customer friendly person in the store named David who was just saying anything to get me off the phone and stating he wasnt going to get fired to sell 4 tires.I have been in a customer service/sales field for 30 years and I have never encountered such an event as this one. They wont tell me who the owner of the store is. Joe the manager wont call me back.I would steer super far away, pay double to another retailer just to not have to do business there.Thanks for all the help, keep fleecing customers, great way to maintain a great business and happy customers.

2022-04-02I had never used the tire warehouse before, but I needed new tires and they were having a good sale, so, I scheduled an appointment for 4 new tires and an oil change. I dropped my vehicle off before they opened and went to work.All day I never heard from the garage so when I got out of work (because the garage was going to be closing for the day in an hour and I needed my vehicle back) I called them. The guy said he didnt have [my make/model] vehicle on his lot and asked me if I called the right place...Then I got put on hold for 10 minutes and when the guy picked up again he said he found my vehicle in the side lot and it was done.Shortly after this appointment I discovered that I was leaking oil (my vehicle is brand new and should NOT be leaking oil) so, I took my vehicle to a different garage to have this checked and it turns out that the Tire warehouse never put the gasket back on my drain plug for the oil pan.Completely stressful experience. I will NEVER go back to the Tire Warehouse again!

2022-03-14Been going to tire warehouse for a while, around 20 years. For the most part Ive only had very good experience. For getting tires they are my go to place. I like the fact that I can get free tire rotations which I use. Ive had only one bad experience. They are up front about all the costs and get the work done fairly quickly.

2022-06-14Dont go here. Employees will take your personal information from their system and use it to creepily gather information on you. The owner will deny that there was any wrong doing and just a misunderstanding. You tell me, is it creepy to get the name of a customer from your companys data base then start looking them up on been verified? Yeah thats creepy and not okay, no woman should ever do business here.

2019-05-27I gave them excellent review and was abt to give them 5 stars but then this happened.Went there for all 4 tire change and break pads change. Liked their service until 2 weeks after the service , when I was driving to Ohio and narrowly escaped an accident due to break malfunction. My car was towed to nearby garage. When they took off all the tires, they showed me that Tire Warehouse had forgotten to put put back 2 of the bolts that holds caliper together and some of them were really loose. The garage guys told me someone will do such kind of job only if they want to kill me. I amThankful me and my family is alive. Need to talk to them and figure it out.

2021-03-09I knew I had a problem with my left rear tire and the place agreed to see me when I called them at 8am.They fixed it quickly and were professional and courteous. I gave 4 stars because my tire pressure icon is still showing on my dash and will have to return back to see them since this was done 3-4 weeks ago.. On 3/8/21 I returned to Tire Warehouse in light of no change in tire pressure light and explained the issue. I also requested they re-check all tires and they agreed. I was there less than half an hour, everything was checked and corrected. All was done at no charge so my rating is now FIVE STARS. This place doesnt disappoint...thank you TW!

2020-08-17I found the tire warehouse online on a Friday afternoon, submitted an online request for a quote and then called the location for faster service. My first over the phone quote was 358 but I was told I would be conversed the next day for confirmation and a time to come in. Afterwards I get an email with a different quote of 258 and all the correct corresponding information for my tire request. Saturday morning as promised I receive a call saying the tire was in and I could come in, I again asked what was the price and was told 258. I arrive give them my keys and my car is taken back pretty quickly. 30 minutes or so later I look up to see my car being parked out front. There was another 15 minutes of me sitting waiting for the office staff to finish joking around in the back before my vehicle being done was acknowledged. As I’m getting ready to pay I am told my price of my tire after taxes is 390 I pull up my email and show the guy my online quote. I advise him that this is the quote I received after speaking to someone Friday and consistent to what I was told over the phone again earlier that morning. He goes into the back and then I guess the manager accompanies him and advises me that my phone call Friday was recorded and he can send it to me where he quoted 358. Here’s my issue with this place...they misquoted me twice and took no ownership of the situation they caused. Then aggressively handled the issue as if it were my fault or as if I was trying to get over on them somehow. You would think businesses would realize that we are still in a pandemic and providing good customer service is their lifeline. I also want to be clear that had I been offered a discount of any sort since it was a miscommunication on their behalf I would have accepted it and brought them my other two vehicles for service in the near future. 100 bucks cost them the potential to make hundreds more and earn a long term customer. I would rather give the dealership my money than this company.
