I have had great experiences at this location in the past...however my most recent was reflective of some of the not so favorable reviews I have read.One of my packages was reinforced with duck tape and the clerk threatened to reject the box, if I did not let her repackaged it, I initially said no. She then explained she was simply going to place it in another box.I was then shocked that I was charged $7.00 for a box and $3.00 for four strips of tape on the box....she then tries to justified this has being packaging supplies. I was not given the remainder of the roll of tape.I was very unhappy with my experience, I will not be returning to this location, it felt like I was being ripped off.Update 08/17/17Yesterday I was told by one of my package recipients that they received all three of the packages.....only 2 of the packages should have been delivered to this address. I checked my receipt to make sure I didnt make a mistake, I did not, and my receipt reflects 2 separate addresses, for 3 separate boxes.Thank goodness they made it somewhere.
Wow what a terrible experience here. I was being helped by a woman who felt it was more productive to tell the other employees what to do than to help me. I left after 20 minutes of not accomplishing anything as she wanted to deal with everything else. Not to mention I was the only person in the store. The final straw was when she decided to have an argument with an employee about a Starbucks canned drink being hers, again instead of helping me. I left and decided to go to the Garden City Park location which I should have done from the beginning, took less than 5 minutes.
Horrible rude worker.i just went in there today at 4:58 on 8/5/18. There was a woman behind the counter. I was on the phone and was bringing in a package to be scanned. The worker says “WHAT”. I was not talking on the phone. I said can you please scan this. She didn’t look at me, she looked annoyed and scanned the package.I said thank you and she gave me a nasty look. Then I was walking out and she started talking to other workers and people in the store. She said ... who is she to be on the phone.Who does this??? Horrible customer service and that employee does not belong there at all.I will write to HR about this.
We have our companies mail go to this location and its absolutely disturbing how this place is managed. No one is there when it is supposed to open at 9:00 am..... but dont worry no one will be there at 11:00 am if you go at that time either. Oh yea and if you go at 2:00 pm no one will be there either. We can not effectively obtain our mail from this specific franchise and it is DEPLORABLE. The owner Mary doesnt care either. UPS Please take this franchise away from these people. They are incapable of running this business and are running a part of your company into the ground. Unreal
Poor customer service, very rude individual, apparantly in charge. I had to return an item to vendor and a barcode was issued which mandated I take it to a UPS store, because when I went to UPS office Oak St. in Uniondale there was a sign on the door stating that if you had the said barcode dont come here go to a UPS store. I never had to do that before, never again.
I rushed to arrive in time before the UPS truck left with the packages and in my haste I forgot my GOVERNMENT MANDATED COVID -19 PROTECTIVE FACIAL COVERING. The staff took notice of my code violation and quickly made efforts to correct it.Do you have a COVID-19 PPE mask sir?“No”Do you perhaps have on your vehicle“No”You cannot be here without a COVID-19 PPE sir.“I know” -glazed in shameHold on sirAnd they proceeded to acquire one and gave it to me FOR FREE. If thats not HUMAN DECENCY I’m not sure what is.Did I mention they also shipped my parcel? Cause they do that too.
Unless you have a prepaid shipping label or desperately need supplys dont go here to ship your packages. They tried to charge me $170 to ship a package to California. Its a good thing I declined. When I went to a different store they charged me $45 for the same package and just to be fair i checked online to make a shipping label and still the price was $60. P.S dont let them try and open your packages. They will be so scared to try and fined out what your shipping, they will charge you more.
Went into the store, a young man named Adrian helped me with info on opening a mailbox. Went ahead and shipped my package as well and guaranteed it to be delivered in 2 days. Really pleased had previously gone into the store in Garden City Park and they were trying to charge me double the price.
HORRIBLE!! Completely wasted my time on FOUR occasions for ONE print job of simple copies!!!!!!!!!!!! Clearly terrible upper management, disorganized, lie, promise deadlines, forget, stall and never for the job completed. Never in my life have I WALKED out of place in fury until this time because they could not even deliver after repeated failure and ton of frustration.

2022-08-11At the beginning of August, I had to mail out boxes to my son who had just moved to Los Angelos. There were 13 boxes which included golf clubs and computer monitors that the UPS store had to not only ship but pack. The boxes were sent in 3 different shipments over 2 days. I can not tell you how thankful I am to Mary Beth and Dom. From helping me get the packages in the store, to packing, to shipping, they were both so helpful. I am also happy to report that all the boxes got to LA, on time and everything intact. I have always shipped from this location and will continue to do so. Thanks again Mary Beth and Dom for all your help...it was greatly appreciated.

2022-08-16Domenic from the Garden City location came through in the clutch picking up a item from a local retailer who could not arrange overnight delivery on their own. He took the time to walk over, pick up the package, box it, texted the tracking number and have it delivered the next day as promised. This saved me the step of arranging for a courier to bring the package to the UPS Store. He mentioned being new to this location. His level of service and attention to detail was exceptional and very much appreciated.

2022-07-01Horrible experience here. Wasted my time trying to print a simple photo and complained about how backed up they were with packages. The Caucasian dude with glasses should be avoided at all cost.

2021-11-23The UPS Store #0691 (Garden City, NY) packed & shipped 2 large, fragile antique platters for me that I bought online from Roland Auctions. They offered a timely, VERY ACCEPTABLE S/H QUOTE, sent me an invoice through PayPal (so easy to pay) & sent me shipping updates through their iShip Services. The platters arrived safely & I couldnt be happier with this UPS Store #0691.

2020-01-11I was returning something I purchased from Amazon. Even though Amazon stated that I didnt need to return the packaging, I did. I was then charged for a 4-inch piece of scotch tape, so that the UPS employee could seal the packaging. I guess this is how they make the Amazon business profitable. The manager is excellent, though, making sure that the customers are serviced quickly.

2020-09-21No complaints with the new management: Amazon of course made up nonsense and said I could use any box, even a cereal box, to return a package so that’s what I rushed over before closing and just did. I was thinking they have another layer of packaging that they stuff things in or something but I guess the representative just pulled something out of thin air and was mislead. The employees explained that they doubted it would make it all the way but still accepted the package anyway. They must have the patience of Job dealing with all these returns.

2020-05-30They are the worst! UPS should be closed down. Every employee is told to lie to you to try and make you feel good, . During this time when many people dont have jobs, you have people like the people at UPS that dont value their jobs and just make excuses for their incompetence. VERY SAD!
