It was hard to find this using Google Maps , keep going down the dirt road until you actually see the trailhead. The trail down to the fails was easy and the falls was nice, with a 5 deep swimming hole at the bottom. You cant walk far along the creek because there are cliffs on the side. So bring water shoes and walk the shallow creek! The trail up on top is nice but not safe with toddlers. Mostly its a walk in the woods with no view of the gorge but there are some overlooks with shear drops. The top trail goes about a mile, has a little loop and comes back.

10/10/20 I donβt know how it happened, but my daughter made it there fine and my directions failed me miserably. The trail has two branches, one to the right and one to the left. We did right first and it was a nice and wide stone covered loop. We didnβt meet up with anyone on this side. Very easy walk for dogs and their people. The path to the left leads to the water- the reason we picked this trail. The trail is not as easy, it is all downhill with a few spots where I had to make sure the dogs were listening so that I didnβt end up on my butt. Once at the waterfall there is a little swimming hole and lots of places to splash. This side we did run into other people, but it is an open area and if you donβt mind getting your feet wet you can walk farther downstream. Heading back the Basset Hound set the pace, which was fine for me. We spent about two hours, not sure about miles.

A very pretty trail with a scenic waterfall at the end. The trail can be quite steep at some points, so I would suggest wearing decent shoes, probably not flip flops. The gulf is a small, natural alcove fed by a medium sized creek. Theres a small swimming hole at the foot of the waterfall. The roads leading to the gulf are well kept dirt roads that dont require 4wd and can easily be negotiated by car.
