Truck in other cities:
OMG...Amazing food!! The menu is diverse, and there are some fantastic vegetarian items. I am in love with their farmers salad. The tacos are perfection, filled with tons of flavors, and all the ingredients are very fresh. The chefs have nailed the seasoning on every dish! Lovely interior, and very cozy. Their desserts are killer. Do yourself a favor and add one to your order!
I am a big fan of Truck, however right now NO ONE is wearing a mask and it’s all indoor dining. We placed an order picked it up and they gave us the wrong food.Very frustrating that we had to go back, and said someone needs to come out to exchange bags as no one is masked!HOPE THINGS GET BETTER!
It was a Friday night and I had just picked my girlfriend up from work. We were both too tired to cook, so we ended up going to Truck because we felt like Mexican food. Walking into the place, you know what your in for, its white washed Mexican cuisine. The salsa was good, the guac looked/ tasted pre-packaged, and the Margaritas are Manhattan Bar priced. I had the boiled chicken and saucy skirt steak tacos which were apparently supposed to be Tinga and Carne Asada.... there was a side of thick & spicy chipotle aioli sauce that provided flavor where there was none. But those arent what I am writing this review about, I am writing this review because my girlfriend and I felt like dessert after our meals, and we just so happened to order the homemade Smores. When they first brought these out, I thought they confused our order for ice cream sandwiches with how thick the marshmallows were. As I lifted the sandwich up, I was shocked at how light it was. My expectations were shattered at my first bit into the sandwich... The homemade graham cracker broke so clean and easily with minimal force as I bit down. The texture of the marshmallow was so fluffy and an interesting mix of both melty and solid. I was astounded when it didnt smush as I consumed my first bite, flabbergasted as the whole of the homemade marshmallow melted away in my mouth as I chewed it, and further stunned as the thin layer of chocolate exploded with flavor after the initial burst of marshmallow was subsiding. This is without a doubt the best Smores Ive had in my entire life, and I will continue to go back to this restaurant to get it again.
Sooo obnoxious & overrated!! Had dinner for four tonight and was told we had to be out in 90 minutes and when we finished, rude waiter told us “we need to go”. What restaurant does that? Staff was rude, food is below average and prices are Sky high. Take your family and your money to other local restaurants where it is treated better.
Service was great, drinks were great and food was amazing. I had the fried oyster taco and veggie burrito and both tasted superb. The chips were homemade and went really well with the fresh salsa and delicious guac. They had specials on cocktails and local beers on tap. Looking forward to going again.
At the moment you arrive in this place the personel give you an excellent feeling. Very congenial stuff, it is a kind restaurant to hang out with your friends or with your date. tasty cooking, talented chef de cuisine, good pay and excellent service. Highly recommended.
The food here is excellent but the atmosphere is very crammed. That is the reason for the (4) star rating in lieu of the (5) star rating. The food...again is excellent. My wife and I have both gotten a burger from here on many occasions. It comes in a soft tortillas with cheese and guacamole on it. Lettuce and tomato compliment it and they will cook it they way youd like and to perfection. The fries are no traditional steak or Irish pub fries. They are thin and crispy and seasoned perfectly. We have had multiple tacos and quesadillas from Truck and all of which are fantastic. The flavors jump out at you and it is not only due to the freshness and quality of the ingredients, but the seasoning is perfect. The best time to go though is for lunch during the week (not Monday they are closed) or early dinner. Because it is tight seating and very busy most nights, you may find those times less crowded and most enjoyable.
Great drinks and tacos. Food is great. A few notes: Chips and salsa are not free and a bit pricey e.g. Very small side off salsa is $2. Bean burrito was odd. It is sized like an enchilada, cannot be picked up, and served on more beans. Tasty but odd. Saturday night table requires a rez at least a day in advance. Will go again
High quality food and drinks. The menu lists 15 or so local farms/producers that provide their meat and veg. Even the margaritas are made with fresh, hand squeezed ingredients! Plenty of gluten free options. The bean of the week is always worth a try. Rice is flavored with a puree of cilantro. A bit loud, but lively energy and attractive interior.
The parking situation isnt good, but valet makes the best of it. That said, its worth it. Truck offers a cool casual Mexican dining experience. Great tacos and guacamole, margaritas are good, service is good. The homemade twinkies, snowballs, etc for dessert are ok, but nothing special. Also, its pretty kid friendly.
The food and drinks were good but I’m taking away a star because even though we had a reservation, we had to wait awhile for our table plus parking was very hard. There was no room in the restaurant’s lot so we ended up across the street in the lot of another business, which clearly wasn’t cool based on all the “parking for customers only signs”. (It was snowing and after the other company’s business hours so we were hopeful it was okay but that didn’t negate the face that our parking there didn’t feel good — plus the threat of a boot or a tow— and it added a negative to our experience.)
Over priced margaritas, sub par tacos and a disaster of required valet parking. Homemade chips are good.Be prepared to be met by a rude yuppie who will demand your keys and take forever to park or return your car. Better off parking across the street at Ace or better yet going somewhere else.
This site is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a good lunchon, this is the place that comes right away to my head. very good and all kinds of food and a rich menu.trained staff, and pleasant vibes. Also important, the charge is honest. I recommend this place with great pleasure.
Food was good (GOOD not great). At least the Petrossian has the justification of the price of the caviar. TRUCK, sounds like Joes or Eat. Bottom line, good inexpensive food served at obnoxiously over inflated prices under the guise of being kitchy. It will probably be a hit for years to come given its community.
Truck applies the organic / local movement to Mexican food. The result is excellent. Do not expect sombreros, cheesy mustaches, or low grade tequila -- this restaurant is of a higher order. It has more of a farm-to-table, chill, local, barn feeling. Before the food enjoy one of many excellent Margaritas. They dont have a great beer selection but do serve Lagunitas. The food backs up the hip atmosphere. Start with the chips and guac. The chips are super thick and the guac is chunky and fresh. Then consider having the tacos. These are not your mamas cheap beef-filled corn jobs -- they are freshly made and locally sourced. Make sure you have the carne adovada taco. Not in the mood for a taco? Get any of the burritos. Check out the specials and jump at the brisket burrito if its available. Deserts are a must: give strong consideration to the soft serve ice cream, which will melt in your mouth, or the twinkie. There are two negatives. First, the acoustics are not great, making it challenging at times to carry a conversation. Second, some of the servers (not all, but some) are simply not ready for prime time. They arent rude -- just non-responsive and forgetful. You need to ask for things multiple times, which can get frustrating.Overall: food is a 5, atmosphere is a 4, and the service is a 3.
If i can give a zero star i would this place is a joke dont waste your time there are much better places to eat and the service sucks i would write a book about what not to do in the restaurant business by coming to this place for one night by the way people arent welcome when there are 8 empty tables they will tell you they have no availability

2022-06-07Cute, festive atmosphere with a laid back vibe. Definitely a busy location! We made a reservation, which is almost necessity. The cocktails were delicious and strong! Food was good, and for the area the price is on par with what you’d expect, but it definitely wasn’t the best Mexican food for cost. Loved the house made Hostess knock off desserts. We had the carrot cake Twinkie and it was delicious.

2022-03-25We had a wonderful dinner at Truck. The food was exceptional and the service was impeccable. The Mexican salad was delicious and our burritos were the best. Blood orange Margaritas are over the top yummy. We were so happy when we found out that all the proceeds from dinner were going to the people in Ukraine. The owner Nancy did something so kind and selfless. Bravo. We will continue to enjoy extraordinary food from this very special place.

2022-04-06If you passed by a million times like me youd never know that Ana amazing Mexican restaurant was so close by. Fortunately a friend told me about it and so I popped in for lunch. The food is delicious and tasty. Try the tortilla soup and any one of the awesomely flavored tacos...especially the Carne Adovada made from Berkshire pork...none better.Ill be back for the enchiladas and burritos.

2021-11-21Always great service. Great food. Staff always first rate. My entire family loves the place.Half the time we eat in, half the time takeout. I always get an ice cream cone. Even takeout, I take a cone for the car ride home.Kate the manager is fantastic along with Nancy the owner.

2022-03-19Pasole is amazing! Also love the Bedford Salad and we usually take home the bean of the week. Margaritas are hands down the second best in Westchester (after my own homemade margs!).

2021-06-30This is one of our favorite local spots! Everything on the menu is delicious! Our favorite item is the stacked beef enchilada with a fried egg on top. Due to gluten and corn allergies and ketone diet, we get it with lettuce instead of the corn tortillas and it is just as good, if not better! 😆 We love the atmosphere as well! Awesome place! Highly recommend!

2021-07-02Staff is very hard working and kind. The food was disappointing to say the least. Just not tasty. Poor quality. Too many ingredients piled on. It would still not taste good, but at least it would be forgivable if it was a $ place. For at $5-9 per taco and many dishes being considerable more, its just bad. Would never recommend it.
