Little to unknown place. Is a gem you can discover 1 hr from NY. Amazing what people can do. A story to be know, a park to be visited. Want to spent some good time, that is the place. Have a trip here!
The grounds and gardens are beautifully kept and well maintained. Plenty of free parking on the street if the parking lot is full. They have restrooms on premise. We went with 3 tween girls and they actually enjoyed themselves exploring the park. FYI, while it does have some paths throughout the park for those thinking about pushing a stroller, it also really limits where the stroller can access because some of the views you have to go through steps to get to. We will definitely pay a visit again!
Its amazing how much restoration has been done to this gem of a property. Beautiful gardens and structures and wide, scenic views of the Hudson River and the Palisades across it. Parking in the lot is very difficult on weekends so grab the first street spot you find nearby. Also, very important, leave a donation at the table so the parks conservancy organization can continue their great work and finish restoring the property.
Park is gorgeous, very beautiful! If you want to see the whole beauty, right now (beginning of May) is probably not the best time to visit, (the majority of plants and trees are still not fully green) However, we still had an amazing time!
Update June 2022: I spent a beautiful afternoon exploring the grounds and they are truly spectacular! So many flowers and interesting nooks and crannies with beautiful waterfalls and spectacular views.December 2021: I was there for the holiday lights and it was beautiful. Its a relatively small area that you can walk through comprehensively in 20 minutes.
What a great place. I’ve walked around the gardens with my wife, with my kids, with my mom, and with friends. It’s like entering an enchanted space. A throwback to when the Yonkers riverfront was a world of wealthy estates. Go see some northeast ruins for yourself.
This place is pretty but run down. It needs major renovations and they should charge a fee to help maintain and restore the park. It could be gorgeous
A fantastic way to spend a day roaming over this outdoor garden. It feels like being in ancient Persia or Rome but in Yonkers with a lovely view of the Hudson.
Came here for the Grand Holiday Illumination on a Saturday evening around 7. There was a good amount of parking beyond the tiny lot you first encounter when you pull in. Otherwise there were a lot of cars parked directly outside on the Main Street. The walled gardens that houses the Christmas lights are a short walk from the parking lot. It’s nice inside but kind of small and not necessarily entertaining for young children.
Great place to visit. Great place to relax or practice some meditation. Its hard to believe that this beautiful place is in NYC. The flowers and plants are so great to see. Make sure to bring a camera because you will definitely want to take many pictures here.
I recommend going early when it opens and wearing proper walking shoes, a hat and water, especially to go down and up many stairs and see the Hudson River and the Roman columns. parking is free, bathrooms available and the very friendly security staff helped us and guided us.
The Untermeyer Park & Gardens is an absolute gorgeous and stunning attraction based in Yonkers, New York.The garden was designed by architect, William W. Bosworth, and built and developed in 1916, by Samuel Untermeyer, a prominent attorney and civic leader.Today, the garden is open to the public and hosts many cultural and social events.In December of 2021, I brought my wife and myself to the garden to view and take pictures of the Grand Holiday Illumination, which first began in 2015, and has now become an annual holiday attraction in Yonkers, New York.The Grand Holiday Illumination features hundreds of thousands of well decorated lights, a beautiful Christmas tree, and the playing of classic and timeless Christmas music.In addition to the beauty that’s displayed at the Grand Holiday Illumination, my wife and I enjoy munching down on the complimentary cookies and hot delicious chocolate that is provided by the community volunteers.During the holiday season, both my wife and I highly recommend for everyone to visit the Grand Holiday Illumination at the Untermeyer Park & Garden to explore and sightsee the amazing Christmas decorations.
The most epic gardens in the north east - HANDS DOWN! This is a great place to relax but an even better place to learn. We took the presidents tour and had a lovely 1.5 tour with in-depth knowledge. Highly recommend bringing water and a nice hat to cover from the shade. A gorgeous treat year round.
Untermeyer Park and Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. Beautifully maintained and open 7 days. Located in Greystone which is part of Yonkers, and having multiple choices for transportation. Great place for families. Theres no entrance fee. Beautiful views of the Hudson. Great place for photography.
This place was so beautiful that I couldn’t believe it’s actually free to come here. The garden is so mystically well-displayed and enchanting.I am, in particular, in love with their lotus ponds. But just when you first open the heavy door to enter the garden, there are vines hanging down, giving an aesthetic appeal. And then there’s a narrow pond that guides you to actual main scenery of the garden with two twin white boulders and statues.I would love to come here again, especially when the small section, which I think is called Temple of Love, is done with its renovation. There’s also an opportunity to exit the garden to check out the Hudson River view.
This garden is spectacular. Will not disappoint. Absolutely gorgeous. Great for photo shoots. Its pretty much magical. You feel like youre in Europe. I believe Untermyer replicated ancient Persian and European gardens.
Gorgeous and peaceful place. Went on a Friday and it wasnt packed. It was a good walk around, nothing too tiring. Some steepness around if you really want to explore the whole park. There are benches to sit around to eat but we saw a couple of people on their picnic mats. A must visit park! Beautiful and worth the travel.
I fell in love with this place.Beautiful view of Hudson River, a lot of flowers, cool garden architecture, waterfalls, ponds and trails.Very convenient to get from NYC by the Hudson Line trains (but you need to wait for repair after hurricane Ida damage).

Im an adventurer and I needed to get out of the house. So when i browsed through their website while looking for outdoor parks to escape to, I thought of nothing else when I noticed they had columns, statues and a river view.But when I got there, WOW! Picture yourself in the middle of Greek ruins, Roman canals, the french Garden of Versailles, several terraces all with breathtaking views of The Hudson and Palisades, and you got the Untermyer Park and Gardens.To get there from Grand Central Terminal, I rode the MetroNorth/ Hudson line to Yonkers station(a mere 20-30 min.)....then i hopped on the 6 Beeline Bus in front of the station to the Gardens. Its a 10-15 min.ride, fare is $2.75 & it takes MetroCard or cash!❤️ Ask the driver where to get off or use your Google Map which follows your bus LIVE up the main road (North Broadway) to your destination. ive read you can also take the #1 subway to the last stop in the Bronx and take the #2 Beeline Bus as well.Admission to the park is free and is run by the city. My garden favorites are The Vista,the Amphitheater and the Temple of Love (a theatrics of waterfalls, streams and a high altar). For the full experience with blooming flowers, go during the warmer seasons. But it is just as good during the cold seasons. (By the way, when youre back at the MetroNorth station, steps away is the waterfront boardwalk with restaurants, stores and towering condos. A beautiful view of the river up close & the NYC Skyline from afar).
Untermyer is a gem for people who love nature and the outdoors. I like the fact that there are lots of greens and big plants. The long pathway of water is also calming. It is a nice place to visit with family or generally your loved ones.
This place is absolutely amazing. Bring some water and some sturdy shoes to walk on the trails. Or bring a picnic and have a little snack by the waterfalls. There is amazing plant life to look at everywhere.Oh and don’t forget a dress to do your Bridgerton walk down the stairs.

Beautiful icon of Yonkers. I love coming here and hope for future renovations to make this place more beautiful than it already it is.
A multi-level park with hiking opportunities for all skill levels because there are several paths throughout the park. Moderate crowds on July 4th, so there was a bit of a wait for all of the peak views around the park that give you views of the water or the park.The views of the water can be quite beautiful and the renovated structures, and Doric columns gives the entire park a Greek/Roman feel. The park is kept well maintained and accepts donations online and within the park. Did I mention it is free to enter and park. Pay attention to parking signs since half the lot is private parking for a childrens center. Those signs will clearly say, private property.This park is worth exploring and good for families with children considering my group included 3 adults, 2 nine-year old girls and 3 year-old boy and we walked the park for 2 hours, including some elevations that had rails so that little ones and adults had something to hold onto.In summary, this is a wonderful park that deserves and needs the support of the public in order for the staff to maintain its beauty given I suspect crowds will grow post lock down from Covid.
It’s a beautiful place especially for maternity photo shoots, pre wedding shoots. The view of the mountain is really beautiful. It is best if visited when it’s cloudy day. A bright sunshine can sometime make you miss beautiful view. There are many spots for you to get clicked with awesome background. Must visit place, free admission and very peaceful.

Such a beauty in the middle of Yonkers!Its a trip a little longer than usual, but THIS is worthy!Free entry (donations accepted), not too crowded and so many green places to go around!!If you go from Times Square, just take the #1 subway to 242 (last stop). Then go down and walk a few steps to the W2 bus.You dont want to miss this beauty!!!Soooooooo recommended! 🤩❤

Such a lovely place, with a greek or roman picturesque style and a great view on the palisades cliffs. Very romantic place and great for events and photography.
The view is breathtaking! This gem is a perfect place to have a photoshoot (prenup,baby bump, engagement) and weddings can take place here. Get your perfect Ancient Greece backdrop. Pose and feel like you’re Aphrodite or Zeus 😉Come here and have someone to take great pictures for you so you’ll give justice to the place. ☺️

Amazing park! Went two weeks ago on a Saturday with a cloudy weather. It was warm and nice. A lot of people were visiting the park that day. Some of them wore masks. The place was gorgeous, offering a diversity of colors and plants. The view of Hudson river was amazing.Such a wonderful park to spent all the day!
Absolutely stunning gardens and its free to visit. Of course, a donation is highly recommended and well deserved. Lovely experience and the gardens are like nothing Ive ever seen. Picnic tables and parking on premises available too.
Beautiful free public garden, there were some doors locked that makes navigation of the grounds tricky. Come ready to hike!
Good place to go, free parking available, no entrance fees, free map , I didn’t see wheelchair access, make sure you go on a sunny day, great River view of Hudson.You can plan to go if you live nearby, or near an hour drive, not recommended if u visit from a distance,
This park was worth the drive, I recommend going around early afternoon. The earlier the better, gets busy after 2pm. Their are quite the variety of direction you can walk. Beautiful architecture and views.
One of my favorite places for peace and quiet. A haven for the heart. A balm for the soul. The garden restores me in times of trouble and good times as well.
Such a beautiful park. Nice entrance. I saw so many ppl used to come and do photography. This park is huge. Do picnic, they have benches so people can sit n if Im not wrong they have grill too for BBQ. They have walking trail and very nice spots to take pics. They made little water trail along with beautiful flowers and they also have some love temple ( I forget that name) over all highly recommended!!!
One of the most beautiful places in Yonkers, and every time they are remodeling it better, the first time I went about ten years ago it was mount and abandoned

Easy drive from the city. Plenty of parking. A very nice one mile walk around an old hundred year old private garden turned into a public park. Great view of the Hudson river and Palisades. A lot of stairs and steep slopes. The old style Greek and Roman columns and buildings is amazing. Unfortunately not dog friendly.

Beautiful place to visit, parking gets filled up quickly on the weekends. There is no inside bathrooms just an out house. Its all walking outside so were comfortable shoes.

Its a beautiful place. A giant tree gives full shade to cool down visitors in the hot days. It has well designed garden and architect looking over the beautiful Hudson river, green pastures, and forest. Nice place to spend a day or half day here with your family, or find a place to meditate.
Beautiful garden with a wide variety of flora but also fauna. Make sure to go down the flowery sided stairs to the beautiful temple of love. Must see for Yonkers visitors.

This place is so beautiful! Kinda wish they had names of all the flowers and plants. Unless they do on the brochure... Then just ignore that. Definitely check it out!
I cant believe I live 15 minutes away and never new of this garden. I came in early spring B4 everything has bloomed and still was amazing by the beauty and the structures throughout the garden. Will definitely come back in early summer to truly see how beautiful this garden is.
Beautiful park and absolutely scenic. Went with my girlfriend and definitely recommend. The temple of love was very pretty and the flowers and lawn are well maintained. Great place to take photos for any special occasion. Will definitely go back.

I don’t have enough words for how enthralling our experience here was. My boyfriend and I came across the park one afternoon by happenstance and decided to stroll around. Three hours later, we found ourselves having to pry one another away from all its beauty. The views are unmatched. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!

Beautiful & peaceful here.There are steps which would not be easy for anyone who has difficulty navigating steps. Having said that, there are beautiful trails that are perfect for any person from somewhat challenged to one in perfect health.Enjoy the views .

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Very well manicured, must say it was better than the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It was so large that I didn’t get a chance to visit all of the areas because I was pretty hungry and needed to drive a distance to get some food. It will be crowded now that they have lifted COVID restrictions, but I’m so glad I had the chance to visit and highly recommend that you do as well. I’d love to go back again, but want to avoid the crowds and am not sure if that is possible.

Wonderful place to visit if youve never been here before. Its quite big with plenty to see. Highly recommend the view of the lake and the flowers planted in front of the temple of love. Not too many people due to covid precautions but it makes the place more enjoyable since its not so crowded.
Such a lovely garden, we felt so peaceful and happy strolling the grounds. We couldnt believe theres no entrance fee, and we were happy to make a donation to this gorgeous place. Long may it thrive!
Awesome awesome place to go whenever you are looking for a place to enjoy a quick walk with nature. Very beautiful and interesting place with lots of scenic views.The stairs are not that steep and it is a easy walk.This garden is very small compared to the ones Ive been to. Overall time would be less then an hour in and out.So there is time to plan a second trip on that day.There is a picnic spot outside of the garden.Highly recommend!!Very strict covid protocols so wearing a mask is mandatory and check in was super easy. Some places were closed off and did not get to enjoy the whole garden during covid.

This is a very clean, well maintained park with some very nice fixtures. Quite picturesque. I just went for the first time and look forward to seeing it in late spring/summer, as Im sure itll look even better.
An absolute gorgeous getaway spot, not too far of a drive from NYC!Quite a few spots for some nice shot and its perfect for a short day trip.
While it is beautiful, its small. If you plan to visit it for a day trip, plan something in addition. Like walk along Old Croton Trailway State park.One of the trail ( one that actually looks like a trail, is closed for walk). The garden itself needs a lot of restoration, which seems to be in progress in one of the rotundas. Beautiful view of Hudson river, but you cant get to river itself.You can have picnic on the tables, or on the grass.
What a magical place even in early Spring! This was a well thought out and put together garden. Beautifully done. It has wonderful space to explore. It was easy to get to from MetroNorth just off the Greystome station. It’s about a 20 minutes uphill hike if you are going on a slower pace. There is no place to eat onsite but there is a halal food truck Just outside the park. This is all outdoors soI’m sure it’s not great when it’s raining. I highly recommend this place. I definitely will be back when things are more in bloom. It’s so close to NYC - less than 20 miles from Manhattan.
Jewel of a place, nice to be able to appreciate a well designed, well maintained garden with an original albeit classical voice. Too bad no coffee house on the grounds or nearby, but maybe just as well.
Gorgeous grounds. Well kept and peaceful place to spend a Sunday. Not too crowded. Make a reservation ahead of time! You could see it all in about 2 hours or so.
Beautiful views!!! Please make reservations and even still give yourself time to find parking. The lot is free but very limited I waited 10 minutes before I got a parking spot. The garden itself was beautiful, I walked the designated areas in about a hour or so. Wear comfy footwear some area are very wooded. The afternoon was a bit crowded in certain areas because everyone wanted the perfect photo. Definitely going back it was about 40 minute drive from NYC.

For those of you that want a peaceful place to visit during the weekend and for free, this is the place to visit. I honestly was not expecting this garden to be as big as it was with all of its twists and turns and new sights. However, for a free visit on the weekend, it was amazing. Pictures doe not do justice for how beautiful this place is. Not a far drive from Queens. Parking on sight but limited so I went about 30 minutes prior to my reservation!To make reservations, go to their website and it will take you to eventbrite where you can register for the day and time. These sell out quick and reservations are open every Tuesday at 8am. This garden is only open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. For those of you that want to do professional pictures here, I saw a sign that said you need to reserve it in advance and notify the garden. In regards to social distancing, there is a limit on how many people can go inside. Masks required at all times. Plenty of social distancing.
It’s a beautiful little garden where is an hour drive away from new york city. Due to pandemic, they’re taking free timed entry reservation on their website, but seems like they take walk-in people as well. They ask visitors to stay for up to 90min in order to control capacity, but you can easily see the whole thing in 90min. Their parking lot is not big - be there before your reservation time to look for a parking spot, or you may need to park on the street.
The garden is absolutely beautiful right now with all the spring blooms! Such a peaceful place (go during a weekday) - you would never think this was in Yonkers!
Gorgeous place! Ideal for walk with friends, a book reading break, or even a scheduled photo shoot. It’s really pretty in summer because there are plenty of flowers and fountains are working.

Beautiful gardens overlooking the Hudson River. It is surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of Yonkers. Very good self-guided tour explains the history and plantings. Free, a total treat.
We really enjoyed our visit to the Illumination show at the park! The night was just right to walk through each exhibit and take a few photos. Definitely a must see during the holidays!
Wonderful! I also highly recommend reading the book Paradise on the Hudson by Caroline Seebohm. She does a great job on the story of Samuel Untermyer and his spectacular gardens. Thank you to the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy for all that you do.
This is one of the best gardens I’ve ever visited that doesn’t require me to break out the wallet. I definitely recommend anyone to swing by Untermyer, you won’t be disappointed.
Loved Loved Loved this Park. Best part is - NO ENTRANCE FEE!. Its free.Its a great hidden gem. I visited 2 parts of the garden. Walled gardens and Rock gardens. Gazebo is in the rock gardens. It is a great park for toddlers. There are also a few swings and equipment outside at entrance. There is a small very narrow stream flowing through the rock Garden. Amazing. My 2.5 yr old did not want to move form there. It was so entertaining and safe too.I visited in November 2019. Amazing fall colors. Wall garden is so very well maintained. Must visit for a day out.

Free entry fee for round the year. Some of the special day restrictions for entry otherwise whole year park entry absolutely free. Nice tree and flower plantation specially they renovated new waterfall which is great. Also long stair close to Hudson trail all together this place is nice and great for photography and family fiends meeting in city or close to city.
I grew up in Yonkers. Our Gorton High School track and cross country teams would run the steps a few times for our work out. Couldn’t have imagined most of the developments there now. A pleasant surprise.
It was a beautiful park and garden. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot here. The views of the Hudson River from the park is so gorgeous. Is a perfect place to connect with nature.
Went for the beautiful holiday lights and a stroll around the gardens. Beautifully lit by the lighting sponsor, Dominos Sugar. The only improvement could have been the background music. Definitely not the holiday favorites I was expecting.
Beautiful some what whimsical public garden. The scenery is out of this world. All year long its a great place to go and do photo shoots. In the winter they give out free hot chocolate. So far Ive gone during spring-winter and each time its a different delightful experience. If you do go during the winter make sure you stay till its dark bc you will fall even more in love with it!😊👌🏽

One of my favorite gardens ever! Only 40 minutes drive from Astoria, NYC, I came here several tines on different seasons. All of the visits are lovely!Last time I took my mom here after some snowy days. It looks beautiful with the remaining snow but of course no plants or flowers. Still enjoying the wintery scene pf the Hudson River afar and the mosaics as well as the temple. Our favorite spot for photography is the door heading to the Vista and the stairs. Don’t miss the two sphinxes :).During warmer days we usually hike in the woods, heading to the temple of love.No admission, all is free. Fantabulous...thats a word right! I did not expect to be transported to India ( a bit of Taj Majal style architecture) and Italy (long staircase and a lovers gazebo too). Overlooking the Hudson, this free experience offers so much in the way of beautiful grass, flowers, and trees
This park is like walking down ancient history. It is beyond beautiful, extremely serene, and what zen! Im a nature lover and have been to quite a few parks. As far as city/town parks go, this is by far my FAVORITE park close to NYC. From the sights to the trees, to the structures, this place is to me like a drop of heaven. Definitely recommend this spot!
I was amazed at the beauty of this space. Do not just walk one level. There are multiple levels to walk along with a beautiful waterfall. Did not expect this in Yonkers..
Pictures make it look bigger than it is, trails are a bit unmanaged. Groto is cool, whole walk around the grounds takes about 35-45 minutes.

Untermyer Park has beautiful grounds, many nice spots for photography, (note that professional photography requires a permit.) Many nice views. If you happen to be in Yonkers, you should definitely take a stroll through. Maybe have a picnic? There is much you can do it such a beautiful park.
This gem is so beautiful and underrated. I have seen the Netflix series about the ghost and crimes that happed there…. But the view!!! The beauty! If you are in the Bronx…. Yonkers are please visit! You won’t regret
This is my third time in the past 6 years going here. Its fun, Beautiful views to take photos. Unfortunately because of Covid-19 there are a few limitations like NO Food, NO photoshoot etc .. but its still a very nice place to visit and take photos.
Beautiful place with a couple of short scenic trails. Well worth the visit. Expect to spend 45-90 min depending on your pace
Beautiful grounds and surprisingly not crowded on a summer Saturday. The grounds are well maintained and feature a stone garden, waterfall, and fountain. It was a great place to visit for an hour on our way to Dia: Beacon from NYC.
I absolutely love this garden. I only wish more people were willing to walk around and explore with me. This is a quick trip from Manhattan to the Greystone station on the Metro North. It is well worth the trip in my opinion. I love the view and cant wait to see this garden during other seasons. I hope my photos help. If you want to take professional photos you need to obtain a permit. There are apparently various events that take place as well. I would say the photos speak for themselves and ask you to check them out. This is a relaxing and beautiful park. I bet if it was fully restored it would be even more splendid!
A lovely garden in a stunning location. A great place to stroll, take romantic photos, baby pics, and beauty selfies. I opted to walk down the wooded carriage Trail to the entrance of the aqueduct. The abandoned gate house had pretty cool graffiti art.

Beautiful, tranquil and well kept with more conservation efforts to come! The only bad thing here is disrespectful people who litter. But they keep the grounds well despite any disrespect.
They dont allow professional photography without a permit, you can still use a DSLR, just cant use any large lenses. The security was very professional and polite explaining this. The grounds are beautiful, I was surprised it was pretty crowded, I went on a Friday around 5:30. There were many prom photoshoots taking place! It is also free to enter.
Beautiful! Wish I knew the fountains were under construction tho. Visited on a very hot day and humidity was awful but still enjoyed it especially under two large trees at the garden entrance. No entrance fee but leave a donation it’s well worth it. Parking is small . Will be visiting again when fountains are done.

My sister n law told me about this place and showed me some beautiful snaps so I decided to take a trip on an early Sunday morning. The main places are of course lovely but I’m an “off the trail, into the wild” kind of person. Don’t be afraid to go off the paths, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what you find. For someone who wants to avoid the clamor and chatter surrounding the main attractions, a good playlist and headphones make a difference between taking in the sights and really feeling part of the gardens.

Truly a hidden gem in Westchester. Was recommended to me some time ago but I never had the availability. Now I can say I am truly pleased with this treasure. They offer free parking and is right in front of the local bus. There us a garden inside but the park itself is delightful. The designated picnic area is nothing fancy but if you walk up further you are guaranteed to be wowed! Ive already made plans to return with my family to take professional photos.
The holiday lights in November/December are beautiful. The day time views are amazing year round. The work they are doing to update the grounds over the past few years is fantastic. I always discover a new gem.

Simply breathtaking. I’ve never been to a park like this before and I was quite impressed and despite it being rather small there was always something new to see. The views were amazing and moving from one landmark to another was seem less. Exploring without a map really helped me immerse myself in my surroundings.
Lovely garden. make reservation online ahead. you have 90 minutes to your the garden which is plenty. parking is tight up hill but you can park on the street outside.

A friend suggested that we gather a few more friends for an outing and picnic here. Upon arriving there were benches set up near the entrance which made it convenient for the group of us to sit & have our lunch. The inner area where the gardens are located is beautiful, with tall arches and columns and ponds. Unfortunately a woman who called herself a “garden greeter” prohibited any eating or even putting down of a blanket in the most beautiful areas of the park, so we ended up having a picnic on the grass outside of the garden, which was fine but not as nice to look at. There is a Temple of Love that some of the kids trekked up to see, but again, this is far from a playground so there wasn’t much for them to do up there. It is a pleasant enough park, but if you plan to do anything besides take selfies in the garden, it probably isn’t the best place to explore or even to sit down and read.
Had a wonderful but short visit to see the lights. Tastefully done, not overwhelmingly. Very pretty ! The music is a nice touch as well. It was 14F this evening, all we could have asked for was flurries. We made a donation and was offered hot chocolate from two nice ladies. We suggest you go and see.

Absolutely beautiful park, scenic views of the Hudson River and Palisades Cliffs through out. Also the site of the recently restored Temple of Love. Once used as a site of other-wordly worship by the infamous Son of Sam. Whether its the history, the tranquility or the beautiful architecture you come for, you wont be disappointed.
Very beautiful garden in Yonkers for free to visitors thanks to city of Yonkers. I wish they start charging fee so entire garden can be brought back to its former glory. Some part of garden is renovated but some part need some serious help and that can only achieved by bringing revenue for renovation by charging nominal fees. Parking is limited but if you wait, someone will come out soon. Garden provides immense photo possibilities.

This is a very beautiful Area,just about 45 minutes driver from Manhattan, and Free charge for visit． The garden with flowers, art, fountain，sculpture, river view, especially love the stone steps near the sea, and the stone pavilion. The first time I was here with the team. I didnt have enough time to appreciate it. I hope go to visit again soon。

Untermyer Conservancy is a magical place of serenity, love and beauty. The grounds are magnificent to to stroll around and be amazed by the natural beauty of the area and the structures that offer amazing views of the Hudson and Palisades.
A hidden jewel in Yonkers truely is breathtaking so relaxing. I also found out they provide free art classes by Untermyer Performing Arts Council Inc. which is not the same organization. Kids as young as 7 to 16 years of age and seniors as well all free for 8 sessions on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. In the fall they will start again, due to their summer Series they can not have art class. Taught by a local artist Mrs. Acevedo
FELLAS, heres a pro-tip: Bring your girl here for pictures in GREEK inspired outfits. While you enjoy the GREEK architecture, try to spot a big silver koifish in the pond. It has an orange spot on its back. Enjoy your free date idea!

This Roman Greco Garden is a truly amazing place located in northwest Yonkers. Is a very relaxing place to take a stroll. The atmosphere is very photogenic. There are also picnic tables. Plenty of green spaces and, lawns to lay a blanket and take a nap.

We stopped into this park on a whim and found it be beautiful. The holiday lights were not on at the time we visited, but from what we could see through the gate it was beautiful. The views of the Hudson was amazing. Would love to visit here again.

This garden is tucked away alongside a residential street in Yonkers. And it is phenomenal! The Garden Of Love is one of the best in North America which is quite a claim, but once you enter the gazebo and look down upon the six waterfalls you will not only understand - you will agree with the statement. The staircase draws you further and further toward the Hudson River but the Garden just doesn’t seem to end there. Once you reach the bottom of the stairs you can venture even further into a newly constructed garden that is created inside of an abandoned gate house, similar to one that I’ve seen in Dumbo, NY. Just keep in mind that once down there you have to make your way back up the stairs and hills upon where you entered in the garden in the first place. At street level! It literally took me two days to recover! Mostly I was very dehydrated and my calves really took a beating that day. I didn’t just visit a garden. I basically hiked.
Incredible views, well-kept, great scene and vibe, free, lots of surprises and delights. There’s quite a lot to the place as well - and each experience there is unique and offers something different. A great day trip, will take you about 2-3 hours to enjoy. Go in the early afternoon so that you can enjoy the golden hour in this location. Grab a coffee or a drink afterwards. No complaints!

This is a Persian designed garden and was just beautiful. Everytime I rounded a corner I was surprised by some new, incredible vista. So meticulously maintained in some areas and wild in others. Such a joy to experience.
We had our wedding photos done here so 1st time since our wedding we were back.It is undergoing an upgrade.The grounds are beautiful and have an amazing view of the Hudson River.The Christmas light display is beautiful Def worth the visit.

2022-06-14I had heard about this place a few years ago but didnt think about going until very recently. I am very happy I did. The gardens are beautiful with pathways that make it easy to enjoy them. There are some really incredible trees as you enter. We came on a weekend and it was not overly crowded. There are great views of the Hudson River from certain areas. The property has many levels so if you want, you can do a lot of walking while youre there. They have a parking lot that was close to full but there is also easy street parking.

2022-06-26This place is spectacular! All in bloom (we visited in June) and fantastic views of the Hudson, these gardens are a must stop if you are in the area. Great for any age as there are multiple paths to see the sites there. Lots of waterfalls to be found on the grounds and forest paths.

2022-04-19When I tell you this place is gorgeous that’s an understatement. I almost didn’t want to write a review because it’s like my little secret spot. Lol whenever I post pics I never say the location.😂😂 I’m like nope not sharing this gem. It’s a beautiful place. We go here for picnics and sometimes to just walk around and get some air. It’s a nice spot for pictures as well. You’ll see lots of ppl taking pics for engagements, prom etc…. It also has a beautiful view of the Hudson.It’s very spacious and has lots of areas to enjoy.Not a lot of seating areas they do have i believe two areas with picnic tables. Parking is free when the lot isn’t full. The grounds are well kept and the staff are very helpful. Please be sure to make a small donation as it ensures e can all continue to enjoy this beautiful location. I can’t wait to get out and visit again. Summer is coming! My pics are from summer 2021

2022-05-30Very pretty place for picture taking, especially for brides, couples. You in and out in an hour. I think if they charged a small fee they can add to this park and make it more enjoyable. The money could also be used to fix some of the grounds that need attention. Overall I enjoyed it.

2022-04-20This garden is tiny beautiful place to roam around during spring. We can see lots of flowers blooming around. There is temple of love which is pretty. There is small waterfall that flows from top of temple of love. There were few visitors when we went there. They don’t charge for anything even for parking. There are donation box on different location for those who wants to donate. Its not that far from New York City and its good place to spend 1-2 hours.

2022-04-15I cant believe I live 15 minutes away and never new of this garden. I came in early spring B4 everything has bloomed and still was amazing by the beauty and the structures throughout the garden. Will definitely come back in early summer to truly see how beautiful this garden is.

2021-12-06It was absolutely beautiful! The scenery, the view overlooking the river, watching the sunset! It was magnificent! Its a pity the path to the gazebo right on the cliff was locked. I can only imagine what the view from there must be like!
