I got the big comfy chair. I could sit far enough back in it so it made my back hurt. Called Value City Furniture back I told them I wasnt satisfied with this chair they said no problem we can return it or we can exchange it for another one and went in the store. Dale the sales person that helped me the first time help me again tried several chairs and I got this one not sure the name on it. My but does not feel like it goes back far enough into the chair I need a lumbar or a cushion there still. Got the insurance on the chair they died so I dont know if I like this chair either we shall see
I purchased furniture on 11/29 at the Cheektowaga, NY store. My furniture was delivered and left broken and in pieces. The delivery drivers did not have tools to do their jobs and did not follow instructions that the furniture was supposed to come disassembled in order to fit in the apartment. My dining table arrived assembled and with chips and scratches all over it. The drivers since they didnt have tools, left the table in the middle of my driveway because they couldnt get it inside. My couch was brought in in pieces, they did not have the tools to put the legs on, they left it that way. When I say left, I mean they dumped everything, got in their truck and drove away. The back of the couch was also broken, which was not known because the delivery guys didnt bother to try to put the couch together. My mother drove 20 mins with the tools that the drivers needed to put the furniture together and they left knowing she would be coming to HELP THEM! Upon contacting the store, manager Mark asked for photos which were sent to him via text. He said he would call back and I heard nothing until 2 hours later after a tech called and said he was at my door after I had already left, not hearing anything about somebody coming. After calling the store back, I was told by Mark that it was not his problem that the tech didnt call before coming out. Mark said he would call back but his shift conveniently ended at 6, and I received a call from Erica that the best she could do is an exchange in 2 WEEKS! We asked to speak to Mark, when my step father took over the conversation and was given Ben B. who did not bother to reference the pictures or the issues that we were having and decided to make his own decisions without following corporate policies. He hung up on my step father, was demeaning and threatening and has since left us with no solution
David was very professional and helpful. He was accommodating and helped me find the furniture pieces that I was looking for. He was kind, patient, and also has a great sense of humor. Would recommend him to everyone! Thank you David for making my experience a pleasant one!

He assisted us with our many inquiries and helped us find the best sectional couch we have ever owned! We shopped at 4 other furniture stores prior to this VCF location and they could not compare in price, quality or customer service. I stopped into Value City Furniture today to pickup a refund check and was approached immediately by a Salesman eagerly to help me. He was Very polite, knowledgeable, respectful, caring, and helped me to purchase a fireplace/Bluetooth system that was put on the floor a few minutes before I had arrived. I was only there to pickup a check but because of Mr Rich Kraft I did make the purchase!!!! Thank you Mr Rich who is an amazing person🤩
Purchase was smooth and easy. Furniture was awesome. Had a little wait time from purchase to delivery but thats to be expected. Delivery men were outstanding! Like a well oiled machines. Ive had movers before and deliveries and it can hit or miss. By far the best Ive seen in 30 years!
About a year ago, I purchased a loveseat & sofa through Trish Schultz, one of Value City Furnitures Home Furnishing Consultants. It was a very quick and smooth process! Trish was very helpful, friendly, and professional as she helped me go through the various options and I ended up with the perfect set for my living room!There was one small hiccup in the process- upon inspection of the furniture when it was delivered to my home, there was a small 1.5 to 2 razor cut in one of the arms of my new sofa. The delivery driver documented the damage and assured me that I would be contacted for a replacement part. Sure enough, VCF reached out, verified with me the part that was damaged, then sent a repair person in about two weeks to replace the damaged piece. Even though the furniture had arrived damaged, I was very pleased with the professionalism of EVERYONE I dealt with through the process- from the consultant, to the delivery personnel, to the customer service rep on the phone, all the way to the repair person.I was very satisfied with VCF from beginning to end, and when it came time for me to purchase my next piece of furniture (the matching recliner chair), I didnt hesitate to order through VCF once again. Thank you very much!
They were at my home right when my window period started; i loved that....workers came in put my bedroom set together in no time. They doubled back to check their work and took pictures, they also showed me how to operate my led lights on dresser and headboard. Customer service was superb and the gentlemen seen to LOVE what they do, which made it a wonderful experience.Great Job, guys!
Today, I was fortunate enough to meet my sales rep David. Unlike other associates in stores, he was calm, cool and relaxed. I had thoughts on furniture but he gave me great advice and didn’t try to sell me the most expensive option, but the best option for what I was looking for. I really appreciate this. I feel happy with my decision and cannot wait for my new couch to arrive. Thank you for your calmness and kindness while helping me find the perfect couch.Update: I had to call the store to confirm my delivery appointment, it took 3 attempts to update my address and I asked for an early delivery and it was not even noted in the system. Be mindful of this as I had a great experience in store.... but problems after. Fingers crossed the delivery goes smooth.
The manager needs to treat customers with better matters and not think all customers are Scumbags or trying to Rip him off.I picked up a Sectional for my daughter and it had a couple of damages that could be seen, and he thoughts they were there already.He had to call the salesman who sold my daughter the sectional to make sure it wasnt there.My people dont waste your time to go to the Walden Value City Furniture.Manager is very rude and very nasty with his mouth.
Eric Kenline was wonderful in assisting us find a couch that suited our home needs. He showed us different options and was very respectful in helping us find exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely be recommending his services to any of our friends and family in need of furniture!
This was the worst experience with buying and receiving furniture yet… the sales rep Jack was wonderful, he was kind patient while l pick out the furniture l have yet to receive 30 days later. We went through tons of choices looking for the furniture that l would not have to wait 3-4 months to receive. We found furniture that supposed to only have a 2 week wait max..2 weeks into my wait reps called and said it would be a delay on some of my items…3 months to be exact. Long story short l asked for a refund and subsequently they found another set exact to mine yet l would have to pick it up to avoid the wait…upon picking it it (the sectional only) l was informed that they only had 5 out of the seven pieces to the sectional and nothing else on my order was ready to be picked up. My order was a sectional, bedroom set, 6 dinette chairs, a tv/ entertainment stand, fireplace/music center and large pic for decor..l only have 3 of those its to date…Sales rep Kirt at the Amherst store was very rude , so rude l had to call the corporate office on him….
After shopping at value city in amherst for years i stopped at this value city and worked with David Mindoro and i must say the best experience and treatment I have had in over 10 years. He showed so much patience and spent time making sure that we got the right furniture instead of settling. I recommend him to everyone.
Thanks Holly for helping resolve my concerns!Its hard to find the words to describe my displeasure with this VCF location. I picked a sectional and asked the sales rep that i was working with if the sectional and ottoman i was looking to buy would be available in the near future. She checked her tablet and let me know that both pieces are available for delivery on the upcoming Tuesday. I signed up for their credit card to pay for my purchases and asked her to confirm delivery before she submitted my request, she stated everything will be delivered on Tuesday as discussed.Judy then processed the payment and once it went through stated Tuesday isnt available but the following Thursday is - ok no big deal. She then stated that the couch will be delivered on Thursday but the ottoman isnt going to be available until December. Im sorry, WHAT? You couldnt tell me this information when i asked you about it twice before submitting the purchase? She went on to state that i would not incur an extra delivery fee for the separate delivery. If that is Value Cities way of rectifying the situation than you need to train your reps better. It seems as if they would do anything to make a sale happen regardless of customer aggravation.Thanks for helping me make up my mind of staying away from this company for any future purchases.
Salesperson knew exactly what I was looking for and took me to it. Did answer any questions. Delivery time is acceptable. Price was good, had a sale, but wouldnt honor Veterans discount because there was a 10% off sale. Delivery fee is too much, but you do what you have to. Now we wait to see if it actually will be delivered in a timely manner. All in all..good experience so far.
While the overall communication could be better at times, the staff is friendly and does not pressure you when making your purchase. We also had a defective piece, the had someone look at it and deem it unrepairable and it was covered through warranty. The delivery staff was very friendly, attentive to our needs, respected our home and took their shoes off in the house. Overall very satisfied with the experience.
Brandon and Christian were the greatest people to deliver my furniture ever. They were punctual, efficient, kindhearted and fast with the work they completed at my home. They adhered to social distancing and had very good service customer care. I would have them back again.
Our sales rep Justin was great and made the process smooth. I didn’t have to wait long to have my bedroom set delivered. However, during delivery, the delivery guys broke a knob off my dresser and stated they called the warehouse to have it fixed, but 3 days passed and I never received a call, until I took matters into my own hands and called myself. We’ll see what happens this Friday, as they state they will come to fix the knob
Brandon and Christian were great! I’m very pleased with the delivery service that we received. They were very friendly and fast with putting together my furniture along with dealing with my cat who they put out of their way so he wouldn’t get hurt, which I appreciate! Thank you!
Just had our furniture delivered and we love it! The delivery team provided 5 star delivery as expected. Pam was our saleswoman for the store and we loved her. She helped us with whatever we needed and wasn’t pushy for us to buy. Would definitely recommend and will certainly come back in the future.
Great experience from start to finish. I needed a mattress and box spring for my son who was transitioning from a toddler bed to a twin. With him not fully potty trained for overnights yet, I didnt want to spend a ton just to have him ruin it. Along came Anthony R, my salesman. He got me exactly what I needed from the folding box spring (which I didnt know existed) to a comfy mattress and waterproof mattress protector! Anthony even helped put it in my car that day! I now have a very happy 5 year old in his big boy bed. Thanks Anthony and VCF!
Delivery was right at the earliest time in the 3 hour frame we were given, both delivery guys were polite and professional. We did, however have a slight glitch in the actual delivery day...someone called last month and said our delivery would be on the 30th of July so we put our old furniture out for thrash the day before, yet delivery wasnt actually scheduled until the week after. But errors happen. Glad we have our furniture now
Great experience with Rich didn’t feel pressured and gave me the tune I needed. I was in between two set and gave me excellent advice as well as guided me through measurements to fit the space I had. I would recommend going to Value City Furniture for your Furnishing needs and ask for Rich.
I must say, my experience at Value City Furniture(Cheektowaga) was very pleasant. My sales representative, Anthony, was extremely helpful and very patient....especially since I was shopping for my grandmother who was very indecisive lol. So I would definitely recommend (VCF)if youre looking for some nice, trendy, reasonably priced furniture.

My experience was outstanding starting from the initial walk through the door to the delivery of the items. Trish was an amazingly patient and knowledgeable sales person and the delivery team of Reggie and Dante were courteous, efficient and polite. Just a great, great experience from end to end.
Walked in and was greeted by Ty who was so unhelpful it was ridiculous. We werent sure what we were looking for before walking in but when we started having an idea he was not around when we found him he was sitting in the front (maybe on his phone) when we asked for directions he didnt stand he just gave us a half-hazard point in the right direction. I was so put off that even though I found items I wanted to buy I decided to leave instead. I have a credit card with VCF and I dont imagine Ill use it if this is the service you get.
The delivery service was great and so was.my sales rep David. But the business itself is terrible. I paid for 2 beds and dresser and nightstand for my kids in October. Today is January 22nd and I still did not receive all my material. Im not waiting for the dressers that wont be in until March. They wait game is terrible and so is there manager who advise me to get my money back and go somewhere else. After I waited this long he advises me that. If vcf was my business I would have fired him for steering my customers away to a competitor. Great job night manager.
We came in just browsing for a new sectional . We were approached by one of the salesmen , Eric and we were lucky we talked to him . He was very knowledgeable about all the products and helped us decide on a couch that we purchased. Thank you Eric for the new furniture!
Buying furniture during a global pandemic isnt something that I thought I would be doing with my life, but Value City made it very easy to get what I needed. There was a bit of a delivery wait, but thats to be expected right now and when the crew showed up they were clean and professional and fast. The woman who helped me in the showroom was friendly and fun which is hard to be right now. I would send my family here.
Purchased a couch in January to be delivered in February and upon arrival of my sofa the accent pillows that I paid for was NOT in the delivery…. I called and they allegedly placed an order for those pillows and now it’s June and I’ve heard nothing from valu city regarding my pillows that I PAID for…. I understand things are in backorder but 4 months for accent pillows REALLY….. and not a phone call at all from valu city to touch bases regarding them either… ridiculous
Our sales woman was Trish. Right off the bat she was super sweet and friendly. She asked a few key questions on what we were looking for and she brings you over to the area and she very nicely says Im going to let you look and I will be by to check on you any questions Im here. We were in the store for 2 hours and she checked on us a few times and we finally made our purchase. Im very happy with what we picked out and the whole thing was handled very quickly. Trish was wonderful! I will definitely go back again.
I ordered the tribeca queen bed set with drawers underneath bed frame, dresser and night stand. With Covid I wasn’t sure what to expect with delivery but we received the order on the exact date we were told which made me happy. When the delivery men set up the bed it seemed they were unsure how to do it. They were reading directions out of a manual which was surprising. Later after they left we noticed that one of the drawers on the bed doesn’t line up and will not shut correctly as well as some lose pieces on the frame that we had to tighten ourselves. Also there are a few chips on the frame. The pieces seem sturdy and I love how they look however was a little disappointed with the drawer and knicks on the furniture. A tech is supposed to come look at it but we were told they cannot come for another two weeks. Overall the experience was good and I love how the furniture looks, just a little disappointed with some things.
I was looking for a small but affordable dining room table set and found one almost immediately. My problem started when they went to look up my item and they didnt have it anywhere in stock and I was told it may be a month before I get this item. I was very fortunate that I had such a great salesperson name David moultrie Jr, who was more than willing to search for answers to make me happy. When David returned, I thought he was gonna tell me bad news, but he made it possible to help me get the item I wanted. I was very very impressed and satisfied with the service he gave me while also smiling and making sure we come back for more future purchases. I was skeptical about the company itself but when they employ great people like David this makes me want to come back and by all of my furniture needs in the future.
Very reasonable prices, huge selection of different kinds of furniture, extremely helpful staff that goes out of their way to help you. The big plus is that they stand by their furniture. Its also a relaxed atmosphere. If the warranty company doesnt do anything for you they will find a way to help you out. Handicap accessible, plenty of parking.
The 2 men did an awesome job, very kind to my 90 year old mother and even took the time to let my sister take a picture of them with her. Very pleasant and careful with moving the couch in. Buying the furniture was great. The service was very professional, I didn’t feel pestered I’d followed like I felt at other stores. I was left alone to explore the store and then was helped when I was ready to buy!The gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable and didn’t try to up sell! I explained I have a huge dog, and I’m always worried about the couch breaking. He recommended the extended warranty which was like $100 maybe, and covers EVERYTHING!!! Included frame fixes.I am already having some issues with the furniture unfortunately. I’ve only had it since Feb of this year. Already starting to break. I called VCF today and a lovely women name Ashley helped me. I explained that I moved and lost all my extended warranty paperwork. She was able to email me all the information and my receipt!!! She explained the process and when i explained I’m moving to another city she provided me the contact information for the store there.Would recommend!
I have shopped here multiple times. Everything was fine until today, when I got nothing but attitude from the store manager. How does someone with terrible customer service become a manager? I will never shop there again. Plenty of furniture store where people are friendly!
Great experience with Value City Furniture. I was greeted as soon as i walked in and explained what i was looking for. I was pointed in the right direction, and able to browse without a salesman bothering me. After i found a sectional i liked, Rich found me and asked if i had any questions. He explained everything to me clearly from colors, to the warranty, to the price. Definitely a salesman i will want to work with again. Thank you Rich for your professionalism, and knowledge. After shopping around, Value City was my last stop, and will be my first stop from now on.
Jerald, Anthony and Davion were absolutely amazing. Very courteous and polite. Super nice guys, and very professional. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. They also made sure there were no pets in the house before they left the door open which was nice because a lot of times people walking in and out don’t even think to ask. Very great customer service! Great sales representative. She helped me place my order without a problem. My order was ready for pick up within a week. They gave me the wrong part for my daughters bed,but immediately delivered the correct piece to my home!! I will definitely recommend this place and shop here again!4-12-20 I purchased a custom sofa and I have been trying to call for 2 weeks to get someone to help me, because I arm of the sofa made a load noise when I was sitting on it watching a movie. It sounds like something ripped or broke! They say that there is still customer service, but I was on hold waiting for someone to pick up, I started from caller #67 and got to 45 and the phone just went blank! That was a little weird that it was in fact counting down and I was willing to wait but it happen 3x after being on hold for 30 plus minutes. I REALLY HOPE THAT THEY WILL FIX THIS SITUATION WHEN ALL OF THIS LOCK DOWN IS OVER. I usually shop at Basset, so to give them another chance and this happen is sad!
I had 3 young men deliver and each one was very nice, polite, and well manored I hadsome worries about delivery. Like most would are they going to bang it up scratch it something, but everything about the delivery was great. If I had anything bad was Noone was wearing a mask. Other then that 5 stars
HEATHER was such a friendly and knowledgeable salesperson. She made, what is often a chore, an extremely fun experience. I got some great deals and am looking forward to the delivery of my new furniture. I will definitely go back to VCF for more good deals, especially if I can work with Heather. Shes a great asset to this location of VCF. Update: the sub-contracted delivery men damaged my furniture and I have received no response from VCF, so theyre losing a star (I originally gave them 5 because of Heather) and I expect a phone call. Ill update my review if I get a call about my damaged delivery.
So happy with Valu City Furniture store #76. So many great choices. Richard Kraft helped me with my furniture and was very knowledgeable about the quality and things I was looking for. Also had the pleasure of speaking with Wendy and Jean. The customer service was super! Everyone ready to help you.
This is gotta be the worst company Ive ever bought furniture from I am logged into my account I cannot see my purchase history I cannot track my order and find out where my dresser is. It keeps on asking me for a customer service number that I do not have I contacted someone in a chat line I gave them my phone number and my address and my order number And they were still unable to locate my account the representative told me that I had a call the 1 800 number and when you call the 1 800 number it takes over 2 hours to get ahold of a representative because all the calls from all the stores at getting routed to one phone number I do regret purchasing this item from this company and I will no longer purchase any other item from this company I hope that you other customers out there do the same because what I had to go to to locate my dressing which I still have not done yet is absolutely ridiculous. I can place an order on Amazon in I receive it within 2 days regardless of what it is but purchasing from value city it takes 2 months Its a big waste of time
Had a few snafus with my order(s) . Finally got everything sorted out. Kyle at the Walden store worked very hard to make sure everything worked out much better than it started. I finally have a bedroom set. Hopefully the sales associates will not sell items that are discontinued to customers again. The corporate offices could use a lesson in customer service from Kyle and Rhonda. Perhaps theyll earn a promotion.Final stars are total of all experiences. Had it been based solely on Kyles initiative, and been handled that way from the start Id have probably given a five star. Thanks for your help Kyle.
I will not buy from you again. I made my purchase in January and as a result they have been changing my delivery date four times. I understand the situation that is happening but they dont call me and they dont let me know. When the delivery day arrives and I go to verify the tracking number online, the date changes. That is irresponsible on your part. Im really mad. When I call, it takes more than an hour to answer and they dont know what to tell me. It is not the first that I buy with you but this will be the last time.
There was some mis-communication on the day of my delivery and the drivers never came. However, the drivers Chris and BJ, came back at the end of their shift when the day was complete to ensure that I received my delivery. They were apologetic, and super nice. They cleaned up after themselves, and were overall great with set up of my new furniture.
We’ve been coming to Value City for years! Richard Kraft is our go to guy. He always makes sure we are getting exceptional customer service, spending our money the best way possible and getting exactly what we want! He’s amazing! We have never had any issues with any of the furniture we’ve purchased through Value City and we’ve purchased sectionals, bedroom furniture, mattresses Etc...if you need anything at all go see Richard Kraft at this location!!
I recently was looking for a chair and half or a love seat for my den! I went to raymore which had good quality furniture but nothing that fit my needs. I also went to Ashly furniture and could feel the wood through the arms of the chair. Both places your aggressively met at the door and followed. To be honest I never even thought to go to value city. I happen to be driving by and decided to stop! WOW!!! As soon as I walked in I saw EXACTLY what I was looking for! I was greeted my Jason who introduced himself, asked what I was looking for and left me be till I went back and approached him! I walked the store and didn’t feel pressured or rushed! I loved so many pieces in this store!!! When I finally decided on a couple pieces Jason was super patient and answered all my questions followed me around with a measure tape! We finally decided on a piece and Jason was very thorough walking me the through the process! I definitely will be buying here again!!! Thank you to Jason and value city for taking the stress out of furniture buying!
I was assisted by a new employee Paul and he was extremely helpful, kind, polite and respectful. My sale was not a bih one, i was just picking out a replacement for damaged furniture. However, Paul did not rush off for another possible client with a bigger sell, he stuck with me and walked me to the door. Truly a gentleman indeed. Thank you to Rich Kraft tonight. I came in to pick up an order from a small purchase I made with him last month. Rich was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. I was also wanting to look at some other items that were needed in tbe near future. Rich went above and beyond to help my son and I find a kitchen table, a mattress, box spring, frame, dresser and chest of drawers. We will definitely come back to see Rich. Bought my huge couch here last year and was extremely pleased from.thr sale to the delivery. So today I went and got my son a bedroom set. Priced it out other places and prices elsewhere were almost double! Value City is the best price wise, customer service wise, best selection and we quality . Would highly recommend.
I was shopping for furniture for a few areas in my home and received help from David Moultrie. He was very kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I am very indecisive but, he was patient with me throughout the whole process. I highly recommend David for help as well as Value City Furniture for all of your furniture needs.
Bought a large dinning room table (seats eight) with two seats for the head of the table and two benches one for each side. One of the bench legs cracked within the first month of use. Eight months later the same leg broke completely off. The table top is completely scratched up. It has a leaf in the middle which has a sunk in look. You would think I have this set for years but it has only been eleven months. Including delivery, tax, a five year insurance policy, and style options, we paid $1180 for a list price of $799. You have to call Value City, first so they can coach you on what to tell the insurance company. Wait for a specialist to come out to try to repair it first. My repair guy took photos of the damage and did nothing! If you are not happy then they will DO NOTHING. TELL YOU TO MAKE MAKE A INSURANCE CLAIM TO STILL, NOTHING. I will not make any future purchases.
My boyfriend and I just had the best experience with Value City! April our sales woman was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and very professional. We purchased a sectional that was very beautiful but unfortunately when it got delivered, it was too big for our family room. Value City was happy to exchange it for us. April assisted us again and when we found the sectional we wanted, the color we chose was discontinued. But April took the time to check all the warehouses and found us the last sectional in the color we wanted! Im so hlad she went above and beyond because we absolutely love our new sectional! We will definitely be shopping here again!
We worked with David Moultrie at the Cheektowaga location, he was great with helping us find exactly what we were looking for and was patient with us while we made our final decisions. I have bought 2 of what i would call larger purchases at the store at Harlem and Walden. Both times i have been very satisfied with the purchases at the store and with the pieces even after years of ownership. I tell anyone that asks to go there at least to look before purchase.
This particular store seems very chaotic maybe not enuf team work too much i thyself wow at the end of the day excetrin couldnt do its job from the sales team if you want to call them that to the phone operator from the maple store very rude and unprfessional nand this was a pretty substantial sale wish ARHAUS was closer than Rochester I tried to contain the over all feeling of unsatisfactory and you cant blame ignorance on colvid in no way a plesant experience thats coming from some one that loves to shop and design wow have many seats....
The worst expierence of my life, the absolute worst place to get furniture delivered from. They messed my order up 4 times already. And are trying to tell me I refused part of my couch because I didn’t want it... but told them to keep the money? How does that make any sense? I’ve talked to three different people. The management has no clue what is going on. Absolutely absurd, first they never delivered my couch. Then they delivered half of the couch. Today the rest was going to come and they said they took it off my order because I said I didn’t want it anymore but to keep the money. Why would I tell you to keep my money and keep half my couch? I am absolutely livid. This is the worst place to get furniture from. Sad because I had a good expiernece with the sale guy. Shame
We spent over 15000 dollars over the few yrs at our new home . we purchased the plush 5 pc set for living room and it start breaking down 13 months later after 4hrs in store getting jerked around they gave me store credit we should have received new couches march 27th but vivid hit well then store reopens they show up at my house to pick up the pos plush set but didnt have new set . UNREAL. They said I owed money it was store credit hello ! Managers refused to talk to us said we have to wait till Aug 6th for new couches Went get her name but she refused to give name Cheektowaga NY store is poorly run will never purchase or shop there again
By far the best customer service and experience I have ever had! I came in with my aunt for a furniture set for my living room in my new apartment. After visiting ashley and raymour and Flanigan the day before I was already disappointed and stressed with the whole process. I just wasnt finding what i was looking for. I felt like one wasnt helpful enough and the other was just too pushy. Arriving at valuecity, I was immediately greeted by Keith! He was very warm and welcoming. Not only was he down to earth and honest, but he went above and beyond in helping me with my purchase. I couldnt be more grateful and appreciative! I will definitely be back for future purchases!
Customer service was good. AT FIRST. I ordered stock from this location back in November. NOVEMBER. It is now going into February. And still have NOT received the full order. Worse part there are pieces that arrived a month and a half late. And now still not the rest, so have my order I sitting around for months already this is an on going thing and the customer service ? Pathetic There is none . No one has answers or solutions but yet money back isn’t a option. Manager useless. I will NEVER buy from or recommend. Every time a call is made it’s the same thing “there’s nothing we can do about it”. With all the money that was spent the least you would think is help or ANSWERS from customer service. And When trying to reach higher management i gets no where. It’s ridiculous.
Our associate, Rich Kraft, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ive been to other VCFs throughout the country and this particular store (#76) was by far the most professional. They showed genuine concern for our needs and they took the stress completely out of the process. Thanks so much everyone!!
Placed an order in January and a vanity set I ordered never came with the rest of my furniture. I called from January to March to get my money back since the Vanity never came, and for 2 months I was told they couldnt give me my money back because it was already out for delivery. Finally after 2+ months of this, they told me the product was out of stock (odd it never existed in the first place after being told for 2 months it was out for delivery??). Additionally, I originally came to the store searching for 1 thing: a couch where the middle part of the couch has the option to fold down. I worked with Mike K. who took me right to a couch that did this. When the couch got delivered, the middle section did not fold down. After talking to several people in customer service, no one could help me and they transferred me to Mike, the man who showed me my dream couch. He acted like he didnt remember me and told me the couch section doesnt have the option to fold down (I literally just walked around with him and he took me to the couch where the middle section folds down). He told me hed call me back...that was 2 months ago and I never heard back from him even after trying to call him several times. I gave up on getting the couch I wanted, its not even worth trying to get what I PAID FOR and ordered. Thirdly, an ottoman I ordered came with a rip in it. And fourthly, the coffee table I ordered, when it got delivered, the drawers dont go in and out. Oh, and I ordered 4 bar stools with this order too, which I got a call back after a few weeks that they were out of stock. I dont think I could have had a worse experience.
Store#76 Salesman was Rich Kraft he was very helpful in helping me pick out a reclining loveseat for my new smaller apt. I purchased the 2nd one he showed me..im very happy w my choice ..Rich K. wasnt overbearing, he was patient and never pressured me into making my decision..looking fwd to my delivery
Terrible customer service, bought a couch that was suppost to be delivered in 2 weeks, then got a call saying it was postponed over 3 months! Went back in to pick out yet another couch because I refuse to wait 3 months for delivery. And once again over a 4 week wait. Took my money and left. Id give 0 stars if allowed
I have had bad experiences with value city but today was an outstanding associate working Erica was professional new her job they have been looking for my account for two years in the system she went right to it pulled it up gave me my credit and I’ve never had service is good in the store Erica was phenomenal

As the wife and I walked into value city today, we were greeted by a nice gentleman named Rich. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was so helpful that we bought a very nice living room set. I look forward to working with him again in the future. RICH, you rock!!!!!!!!!
Ordered a couch in store and had multiple problems. Sales person said I wouldnt get billed until after the couch was delivered which ended up not being true. I had ordered it about 2 months in advance to make sure it was still available when moving into our house. Was told I had 12 months interest free for signing up and purchasing on thier card...got the card and looked on my online acount and it said 6 months interest free. They did fix this issue when I went in to the store about it. When they called to confirm delivery i let them know that they had the wrong color for the couch. She said I could have the wrong one delivered and keep it until the one i was supposed to get was back in stock. When the correct color arrives it was backwards. I ordered the chaise on the right and it came on the left. When my boyfriend called the woman said the manager would call him back. Never got a call back that day. The next days I sent and email in. It is now 5 days later and I still have not received a phone call back or an email back. The couch i had in the wrong color my boyfriends father ending calling and buying and moved himself. He got the managers call back right away. Will not ever buy anything from this company again.
Ordered some things online that gave me an inconvenient delivery date. Came into the store and was assisted by David Moultrie Jr. and Holly Nashwinter and they were very patient and accommodating. This is my second time shopping here and I do not regret it! 100% would recommend to anyone!
When buying on discounts and adjustments for upcoming deals, customers have to be really careful as they often mess up the basic calculation on your receipt. I bought my items prior to black Friday deals (Thanksgiving day) which didnt include free shipping. Although it was discussed the shipping fee will be taken out on the final receipt, the staff messed this up big time. I ended up on the phone with the front desk employee and then the supervisor explaining the account differences which went in circles because they just wasnt seeing how taxes work on your final merchandise total. Once they realized I am correct and they messed up, they got very defensive and asked me to contact corporate office for further investigation. Their reasoning being that they cant change the tax amount on the receipt which I found very odd. They also initially used my first receipt to calculate the refund amount so the ending balance would be higher. Its frustrating that customers have to point out refund calculation errors to staff and once they realize it, defensive mode is the reaction customers have to deal with.
I was first nervous about walking into a large purchase that was needed for my household. Jason Yelder was a wonder sales man that assisted me in making the most cost affective purchase to my budget. I was am to purchase more than I thought I would be able to. Thank You Again Jason.
I recently bought a matress at value city furniture a luxury plush hybrid. It is great, sleeps fantastic. The sales rep James jochen was wonderful very helpful in helping us decide what to buy. And very patient as we, tryed out several mattresses. I think we made the best decision by going to vcf. I would shop there again. Thank you again James for all your help.
Went to value city in cheektowaga today with myFather. We walked in and were greeted by a woman who worked there. After a few minutes of browsing we were approached by a man claiming to be the manager of the store telling us we have to wear a mask to shop in this store or we have to leave. We proceeded to tell him that we, just moments before, watched one of his employees walk around the store without a mask on. He told us that employee was “coming in for his shift and will put his mask on when his shift starts”. Hmmm.. so if you work there you don’t have to wear a mask if you’re walking through but we have to go shop here?? After stating that my father has a medical condition and is except from wearing a mask, the “manager” did not seem to like that and proceeded to tell us that NYS requires you wear a mask and wanted to know why my father was except - which is against privacy laws. He told us that “this is a private building and we have the right to tell you to leave.” After he asked us about the medical reasons, I asked for his name and he told me “my name here is not relevant, I am the manager here.” I would NEVER recommend a store that acted in SUCH disrespect to someone with medical issues and pressed to get their way, acting like a child (the manager actually stomped away when we told him we would rather leave and buy furniture somewhere else than be questioned and treated as we were). The way we were treated here will be shared with my real estate staging associates in the hopes to not support a company who treats their potential customers with such disrespect but at the same time says it’s okay for their employees to walk throughout the showroom without a mask on.
I love the furniture its beautiful. But I would just like to walk into a store and walk around first. I mean I know sales people work on commission, but...say hello, introduce yourself and if you want even say if you have any questions or need any help Ill be over here......Then walk away. Dont keep following them like your thinking their going to rob you! Give a person some space. Your never going to make any sales like that. A stalking sales rep just has you leaving at that point. If they want help, they know to ask. Just PLEASE...BACK OFF A BIT.
As soon as we walked through the door, a Sales person greeted us! Alexander Knaus was helpful and pleasant without being overbearing! She walked us to the dept we were looking for and is knowledgeable about the products VCF offers. I would give her more then 5 stars!
Do not do business with this company before reading reviews on the better business bureau. Horrible customer service, never followed up when promised, nobody took responsibility for their actions including several staff members, Ive had several conversations with this company including the store manager and DM, it amazes me how a corporation can show such lack of consideration especially when a consumer is spending their hard earned money. I will write a review with the better business bureau and include specifics.

2022-03-04We ordered the Artemis dining room set, the 2 young men who delivered and set up the set were amazing. They were so friendly, courteous and patient. They assembled the table very efficiently and were very patient as I measured and re measured to make sure the table was where I wanted it. The marble table top was extremely heavy......they were careful and definitely were experienced with assembling this set. Kiddos to Value City and then gentlemen who delivered our set.

2022-02-25I went into Value last week and had the best experience. Jack helped me look for a bedroom set. Jack was so helpful and patient while I tested mattresses, and ask several question regarding availability for several items. The Team is so helpful! Travis the manager went above and beyond to assist with scheduling multiple deliveries for items that I requested to have as soon as possible.I came in again and worked with Kevin about days later! He was so knowledgeable and more than accommodating. Kevin showed me dining room sets. He gave some very helpful information about the items I previously purchase. I plan on going back into purchase more items mainly based off of the customer service that I received.Im really missing the home decor gene, but the associates made furniture shopping fun and easy. I recommend them!

2022-03-01I purchased two custom swivel chairs that were damaged/defective upon arrival. After a couple months long back and forth with “Corporate” I got a hold of Ben and Jeane at this store who made it right.I wish I could have connected with them sooner as it would have saved me some unnecessary frustration. They referred me to Anthony Rick (sales) to help with the exchange. He was aware of my situation prior to meeting with me, patient and great to work with. This store gets 5 stars from me solely because of customer service. Thank you Jeane, Ben and Anthony for taking care of us!
