Weis Markets in other cities:
Weis Market is really one of the greatest grocery stores in the area. The selection is great and the staff is always kind and curtious! People say the prices are high but they treat their workers right and give them a good wage. You get what you pay for and every time I visit Weis I walk out with a smile 😁
This is a tough one. In general I really like Weis. Ive only been in this store once and didnt have a great service experience. I complained and got an apology. Dont really know about this particular store.Update: visited again today. Very clean. Staff was pleasant and said good morning. Lots of selections for things. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies. I updated it to 5 stars.
Prices don’t ring up as marked. ALWAYS out of pretzel rolls in the bakery. BAKE MORE it’s really not that difficult.Update: Way to copy and paste the same generic message every time someone leaves a bad review. A bit of advice: Pay attention to detail of each bad review and reply accordingly. Again it’s not that hard. I refuse to shop at Weis ever again.
At 5:07 this evening we went up to customer service on Pennsylvania ave and they said they were closed and seems like they can make up there own hours when the sign states 8a.m. Till 8 or 9 p.m. and this is on numerous occasions and they are very short with a lot of customers which is not appropriate for a store to do so. And all the money we spend were thinking of taking it elsewhere where they follow the rules of the time not too very happy again
I come to this location once or twice a week in the evenings as I work and attend school all day (weekdays and weekends). Every time I come, they never have anything stocked on the shelves that I need. If I ask customer service they refuse to help me, even though if I come the next day the items are stocked. I don’t have much availability during the day so coming at night and seeing that they refuse to help me is very upsetting. I explained my problem to someone at customer service just a few minutes ago 3/5/21 6:45pm, and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She wouldn’t even consider checking to see if my item was in stock, nonetheless ask me what the name of the item was. I’m extremely disappointed in this establishment.
They have pretty nice employees. They seem to work well together as a team, I sense maybe? Bri is my favorite. Great service from her, good small talk that delights my days. Decent prices. Not the worst but not the best. Quality in store brand? I dont recommend. Specially the store brand cheese. The family Dollar has better cheese.
I rarely post reviews on anything unless I am either thoroughly disappointed or exceptionally pleased. I’m happy to say that the reason for this post is because I am exceptionally pleased. Man they did an awesome job with my son’s cake, I gave them a photo and my ideas as far as what I wanted and they nailed it! Thank you Weis!
I won’t be shopping here anymore. For the 2nd time, a cart has struck my car and I am stuck with the repair bill. They do not keep their lot clean at all. I have seen carts sit in the same spot for hours or even overnight without being touched. I’d rather pay a bit more and shop at Wegmans (Who keeps their lot immaculate) than take a chance being stuck with a $500+ repair bill for shopping here.
I went here by bus and th area always confuses me a bit but...i had a gr8 trip 2 this weis today with my food stamps...i got a blueberry pie 4 $1...meatbals...buter...🧀 and...my favorite...Pure Leaf Sweet Iced T...i forgot 2 get Steak with Alltel fat on it...but I plan 2 get that at th Weis on conklin avenue...and...i plan 2 go back 2 this weis bc theres a Smokers Choice
Dont like all the do it yourself registers they have 8 or 9 cash registers only to is opend on some of the buisest days of the month im in that store a whole lot spend alot of money and i dont like having to pay for bags thats petty in my books paper bags should be free specialy wen people spend a lot money if this keeps up ill find another store to spend my money in ....
Weis is the biggest bait-and-switch grocery store around. Prices are -consistently- higher than other food stores; sales that are only a few cents lower (if you buy 3-10; and even then they might still be higher than elsewhere!), lesser variety, shopper card requirements, and now, the biggest kicker, they require their APP installed on your phone, linked to the shopper account so that you can actually get the advertised prices!!!Im not actually sure how this isnt discrimination, since older people not comfortable with technology and people without smart phones are now essentially being overcharged.Stay away from underhanded marketing tactics and shop elsewhere.
They have their hours posted on the door which are different per covid-19. However it states they close at 10 but on more than one occasion Ive gone at 9 and they are already closed. They need to either adhere to the hours they have on the doors or put the correct updated hours they are actually following currently
Weis is an ok store but since I cant review their products on their own web-page Im doing it here. Their baked goods, specifically their hot dog rolls and kaiser buns are horrible. While they taste ok, expect them to fall apart in your hands when you try to use them. A pile of crumbs.
Clean, bright, roomy; help you out or leave you alone; has everything - much high quality, all fair priced. Dont cook fish at home or bake, but their store baked rye bread and cooked cod are treats. My quality of life, health, and solvency are well served by this Weis store and its workers.
I am very unhappy with your 2 stores (1) located on Vestal Prkwy. And the other on Pennsylvania Ave. Both located near Binghamton, NY. These stores carry very few vegetarian products such as Amys other wonderful vegetarian companies. They also rarely carry petite frozen peas all year. It seems Weis is reluctant to support vegetarians needs and rarely get these products on a regular basis. In comparison with Wegmans your store sti is, a d I would prefer to get them from Weis, but I have given up. You need to educate your employees about the needs of vegetarian prepared frozen foods and foodstuffs.
Reasonable grocery. You wont find *nice* items here (the bakery, deli, meat & produce selections are ‘meh’ at best) but the selection is good enough for standard stuff. The aisles at this store are tight as hell. They cram the aisles full of those annoying ass extra displays that block space. I go here often, but try to go elsewhere whenever possible.
I still miss Giant markets. I be guess I didnt realize how good we had it when Giant markets were here. Weis is basically a disappointment. I consider it to be rather mediocre any way you look at it. I feel that the prices are s bit higher than they should be and the quality, especially of store made goods, could be stepped up. Store brand choices off the shelves are again, mediocre. Better off just saying for name brand products. I always leave Weis feeling taken advantage of, like I should have gotten more or better for the money spent. I suppose that applies to almost every other store we have left in this area though.
Once again I had the worst check out person in the world. She had very long fingernails and when was unable to use a register properly or even to get bags opened and filled with my groceries. I really wish you wouldnt hire people that arent competent to run a register. I have been trying to use the register lines to avoid anyone losing their job but Im going to be forced into using the self checkouts.
This Weis is almost always busy. It is expensive as are the other Weis store. Their customer service is awful. My boyfriend bought sour cream from there we only live 5 mind away when he got home the whole thing was curdled. It was still cold when I took it out of the bag. I tried to call and tell them just so they would know it may be a potential problem with other ones. They NEVER answer their phone.
This Weis is not my favorite Weis, though it is better than the one on Robinson St. (Upper Front St. Weis is my favorite local grocery. It has the best prices, a better selection of discount meat and breads, and the best $20 butcher packs.) This Weis offers a great selection of goods though, better on that count than the other local Weises. It is also the largest store by-area and features an attached CVS.I was not impressed by the variety in their $20 butcher bundle (which is usually enough meat for me for 2 weeks) which contained chicken wings, chicken drumsticks, chicken thighs, and Italian sausage. Upper Fronts usually contain ground beef, chicken thighs, sausage, and pork chops. I took two stars off for that and the lack of meat specials, before giving one back because this store is immaculately-clean.
Worst employees at this store and absent minded! Had one lady try to short change me $80. I was nice about it, but I should have reported her to management. This was not the first incident either at this store. I am glad I only come here to visit my Son every few months and dont live here.
Weiss is the neighborhood grocery store for the Binghamton area. They have a good selection of the sort of food you expect. They have a few electric carts for people who need them, but they are inside. I found the staff at this site very helpful and considerate. The store is clean and well stocked.
After going to this store for almost 12 years, I am not going there anymore because of one rude, incompetent supervisor. It takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch and I can take my money somewhere else and be treated with the respect I deserve. I dont deserve a nasty attitude for asking a question.
Nice neighborhood store, has large variety of items. Staff is friendly but very shy (Ive got a crush on the blond 40yr old chick). Has great view of the city of Binghamton & North Side Mountains. This is connected to a mini plaza, theres a cvs & cafe connected. It has wifi but their wifi doesnt like encrypted connections.
Horrible staff disgustingly disrespectful will not go out of their way to help you and management is no better.... Dont care about the deals I was disrespected so bad I will drive out of way to avoid this store at all cost !!!! Also called corporate some of them should be fired
Just back from vacation, went to pick up a few items, Hoffmans hot dogs on shelf dated 10/15 today is 22nd, when I got to check out, realized milk was leaking, 2 employees at check out , asked what I should do, they said they would take broken, never offered to get a new one, paid with large bill, never said out of ..., did not count back change, checked myself....just a few of the issues

2022-03-08I love Weis Markets…the only place I do grocery shopping. Never again, however, at the Pennsylvania Ave location. As a senior citizen and heart patient, sometimes I need to use the restroom immediately. This particular day, I happened to be conducting some business in Binghamton and stopped by Weis to do my weekly shopping. The men’s room was closed for repairs, indefinitely, and no other restroom was offered to me. In most states, you cannot operate a grocery store or restaurant without a working bathroom. I will probably end up complaining to the health department. It made it impossible for me to continue shopping, so I went to another Weis location and was greeted cheerfully. Never again! Poor Customer Service!

2022-03-27This was my first time to this location. The place was decently stocked. They had alot of pre-made deli items and portions with a short shelf life on clearance. The pricing was great, as we saved over $35 for swordfish, marinated chicken and thin cut strip steak. The self check out machine jammed, but staff came over to assist immediately. The parking lot was empty of cars yet full of trash & debris :(

2022-06-20This is a hilariously bad place to shop for groceries. The meats and vegis are horrendous quality. At least they got rid of that problem where it used to smell like rotting vegis and fish right when you walk in.

2022-05-28We Is is pretty good. The one on upper front Street is the best though in my opinion. Vestal is OK.
