This company is the best. I was so worried it was going to cost an arm and a leg, but Octavio was able to efficiently solve the problem without charging me for any parts or anything extra. He made sure the problem was resolved before he left. On top of being a quick, inexpensive, and an efficient repair man... he was lovely and a very nice man. You often worry you will be taken advantage of with these service calls, but Octavio left me feeling like I can confidently trust and recommend this company to others.
The drum on my 9-yr old Maytag dryer would not stop when the door opened and the light was not working. I called Wind Service and Avin M came in a week and diagnosed the problem in a minute and fixed it in 10 minutes. I was impressed with his knowledge and his professionalism and courtesy. I highly recommend Avin M and Wind Service for this type of repair.Karin S
This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately we are stuck using them because of a warranty. Our washer machine has been broken since October. PC Richards outsourced to them in November as they could not fix the washer. The technician arrived within a few days on a Saturday and said we needed a new control panel. He said call on Thursday to see if the part is in. I called Thursday and they said the part was in and would come on Saturday. On Saturday morning they called and said they weren’t coming and that the part is being shipped to us and that we couldn’t make an appointment until we receive the part. They also said there was no way to track the part of when it was coming. This is an obvious fabrication as anyone who has ever ordered something knows you always receive some kind of tracking and shipping information. The customer service person also said that we were never told that they had the part of Thursday. The part finally arrived weeks later in early December. I called and schedule the appointment for the next Friday 12/18. I took off work to be home for it. They called in the morning and said they received the part and it was broken. I expressed confusion because I had the part that was required. They explained to me that no I was wrong there were two parts: one shipped to me and one shipped to them. The part they received was broken and they could not come. The customer service person was extremely rude and did not apologize. They then said they would call me when they receive the new part and then I can make an appointment. I have spent hundreds of dollars at the laundromat. The company does not seem to care. I would not recommend this company to anyone as they are extremely rude, incompetent, and provide zero customer service.
I wish I could give this place negative stars. The only reason we are stuck using this horrible company is because of a warranty. They are extremely unprofessional, customer service is horrendous. We have a brand new dishwasher, has never been used, that came out of the box broken. The technician came to assess, said it could be one of two problems, one being the control panel the other being the motor (seeing how we have never used the dishwasher, the motor seems to be the least likely issue). We have been waiting for the motor to come in for quite awhile now. The control panel, which is most likely the problem, has been in for weeks. Whirlpool called to find that information out for us, and wind service has refused to send someone in to fix the control panel to see if it was the issue. Finally got a call today about scheduling since all the parts are in, and they cannot come for over a week now. When I asked her if there is any way they can get us in seeing as we have been calling for weeks about having this issue resolved, she said no and hung up. Beyond disgusted with this company. If you have a choice, do not use them!
This is the WORST company ever. They came 1,5 months ago, they told us that they are coming back with the parts on june 2nd. They did not even call us to let us know that they did not receive the parts from the kitchen aid. When i called them they told me they do not know when they are receiving it. Unbelievable!!!!!!! Do not get me wrong, it is the simple piece ever. The dishwasher’s drawer’s wheels….and when they came they told me they have only 2 wheels not 4 wheels in stock. I do not understand how this is work. How this company can even work? If they told me the one specific day i would understand that also, but they have no idea when we are receiving it. Crazy. If you have any other choice please just go for it.
This company is by far the most unprofessional company I’ve ever had to deal with. Unfortunately I’m stuck with them due to the warranty. My refrigerator has been broken since 9/2020 and it’s now 12/2020. There’s a serious problem with them, they have spoke so rudely to me so many times. There’s no compassion that I don’t have a working refrigerator for so long. The just seem incompetent. I would advise you to keep looking for a much better company. They have not shown up for multiple appointments. Today we had an appointment. I waited. They called me saying the service guy was at the door. I ran outside and he was nowhere to be found. I called them back right away and of course the women was rude to me as she always is. She kept telling me they left me a message that I wasn’t there. I was for sure there waiting as I have been for months . All I ask is for them to just fix my refrigerator. Must have been nice for them to have a refrigerator for thanksgiving.
Great company! They were sent to do a warranty repair on my Kitchen Aid refrigerator by PC Richards. The ice machine broke. The technician was on time, courteous, polite and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone that is having problems with their appliances. 10/10
Our KitchenAid dishwasher broke down on nov 8th. the customer service guy was very nice and gave us a grace period of warranty.the repair service is outsourced to Wind Service Inc. and here comes the nightmare. the repair guy came and said the panel is fried and needs to be replaced. he had to order from the factory and would get it on dec 24th (in over a month). why would this happen?finally time was up and we called and asked for the next available time slot. the appointment guy called Jason said Jan 5th. we asked if theres anything sooner cuz it had been out of order for 2 months. he got impatient and asked in a sarcastic way do you want me to cancel someone elses appointment?PS: the technician was nice and we tipped him $15.if the owner of wind service see this, at least train your staff properly.if KitchenAid sees this, you gotta find someone else. wind service inc is hurting your reputation.
We would highly recommend Wind Service! Unfortunately, we had two small, but noticeable, dents in the freezer door of our new Kitchen Aid French Door refrigerator. After calling Kitchen Aid, we were put in touch with Wind Service. They contacted us and requested pictures of the damaged door to be sent by email. The next day they called, saying that a new replacement door was being ordered for us, however it would take 6-8 weeks to receive and install. We were not happy upon hearing that, however we were prepared for the wait. To our surprise the next day, we received a call from them saying that they had a service cancellation, therefore a door like ours was going to become available and we were put on the schedule for installation 2 days later.The repairman came as scheduled and a half hour later, our door was replaced and our fridge looked good as new! We found all of the staff we dealt with to be courteous, professional, prompt and knowledgeable.Not sure what happened from reading some of the other reviews but there were no problems here at all, just kudos for great service and a great job. Only a positive experience from start to finish. Thank you, Wind Service!
We had our kitchen remodeled over 4½ years ago using Kitchen Aid appliances, and several needed repairs were conducted over that timeframe using Wind Service. They’re a good and responsive company and in all cases successfully repaired our appliances. Octavio is one of their best technicians who we have had in the past, and he was able to get our refrigerator up and running cool again after a more recent diagnoses refrigerant leak problem that needed prompt attention. He was both professional and knowledgeable while explaining exactly what happened, and has always planned well for a follow-up visit to order and install replacement parts when needed at our convenience. Any appliance failure is an unplanned experience, but thankfully we have been fortunate to have gotten prompt assistance through Wind Service and their quality technicians like Octavio.
I have young kids I asked them if I can have a late time slot bc I take them to school they would not give me a late slot the am of the appt I call and tell them my gma will be there at 945 she is 90 but she is coming there repair person came at 930 and would not wait...
Long story short they sent in someone to fix my refrigerator on Friday the guy came in for five minutes changed a part did not wait for the fridge to cool downleftthe fridge was not fixed they had to come back on Mondayonce again did not repair itwe called the supervisor DARREN Who now says he wants to send in an expert.Why didnt you send in an expert the first time??????
They Called to cancel the appointment scheduled over 3 weeks prior. the man contacting me was rude and nasty. Didn’t try to have a tech there right away because they were canceling. He says only available appointment is another 3 weeks. Never again this company customer service is terrible. They should train the people making those calls for appointments. Nasty and attitude.
Wind Service came to fix my washing machine through Maytag. The entire process through them was AA++. When setting up appointments, people were courteous and polite. The tech that fixed the issue, named Andrew, was on time, polite, and explained the issue thoroughly. He had to come back the following week for an ordered part. He fixed the issue in no time. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Would definitely recommend them.
Octavio A. of Wind Service, Inc. was professional and thorough. He understood the importance of getting my range repaired as quickly as possible, so that my family and I would not have to continue to eat out. No only was this becoming expensive, but it was just a major inconvenience. He took the time to fit me into his schedule on a day that he had a few cancellations, so that I didnt have to wait additional days. I appreciate his kindness and excellent customer service rendered. I would highly recommend Octavio as a knowledgeable technician and the Wind Service company.
They dont stand behind their work. Asked them to diagnose a leak from our refrigerator. They said it was coming from a house line and we needed a plumber. Plumber changed the line and leak continued and he told us that leak was not from house line but refrigerator itself. Correct part was ordered and replaced and leak stopped. We asked them for a refund of since they got it wrong and cost us extra money for first plumber service. We did not ask for them to reimburse for the extra unnecessary work , just refund their diagnostic fee. They refused. If a company totally blows it and costs you extra money because of it they should give you a refund Its that simple. Certainly wont be calling them again and will not recommend them.
Wind Service was contracted by PC Richards to perform service on a Kitchen Aid dishwasher.They sent David P, a very sincere and caring technician.The work was performed neatly, on time and with utmost care.David was clean and cleaned his workspace after he was done.Never have I had a service call go so nice on both the initial assessment of the problem and the return visit to repair it.I highly recommend Wind Service and ask for David P.
I have used Wind on 3 occasions. Most recently on 7/9/2019 to repair my Whirlpool refrigerator. They were at my house within 12 hours of my call to them. Neil A was the service tech. Neil was able to diagnose the issue right away,and the problem was fixed in a half hour. Neil was curtious, and took measures to protect the surrounding areas of my kitchen when completing the repair job. Thank you Neil and Wind.
Refused to fix dishwasher because it wasnt broken. After 3 years of it working find, washing and then head drying the dishes; the heat dry stopped working. They came out and said it was a problem with the water going in (which we measured at 120 degrees) and the washer was fine. After calling to find out when theyd come back to fix the heating element, they said there was no problem with the washer and would not be returning. I had to get another company to come fix it.
I recently had an issue with my wash machine which is a whirlpool. I absolutely love it and when it broke I was devastated, because I thought that was it. Luckily wind shield has an awesome technician named Dave W. He was super polite and professional! I would highly recommend calling him if you have any type of issue, so he can work his magic.
We purchased a refrigerator a few years ago from PC Richards and bought the extended warranty. The compressor on the refrigerator broke 2 weeks and we had a technician from Wind Factory come out to look. They couldn’t fix the issue during the visit and needed to order a new compressor which they said would be in and installed following Wednesday, November 27th (10 days ago). We called when we never heard from anybody at Wind Factory and they said the part had not arrived and they would call us. We never heard anything from them rest of the week and called Monday, December 2nd to get update. They said the part still had not come in, had no idea when it would arrive, and seemed generally uninformed and unhelpful. We never heard from them through the week and when I called this morning, Saturday, December 7th the woman explained she knows nothing, does not have access to any information and only dispatches/receives phone calls. Had no information to provide or advice to move forward. Very frustrating, not a good experience at all! At this point, we have not had refrigerator for 2 weeks and are not any further along getting it fixed dealing with Wind Factory.
Cannot thank Wind Service enough for sending technician David P to our home regarding a water leak problem from the freezer. David was extremely neat, courteous and knowledgeable! Within a half hour he addressed our problem and corrected it. Wind Service Inc should be proud to have technicians like David P on there staff! Great job !
I recently asked for their service to fix a problem with my maytag washing machine.The problem with the machine- it is leaking. First time their technician came to inspect the machine and said the problem was with the drainage hose and that need to replaced as it is cracked.I bought a new hose and asked a plumber to replace it. The plumber after looking at the machine said the water is not leaking from the hose. He then opened the back panel and discovered that the water leak was actually from the water valve at the back of the washer. He recommended replacing it.I called back their office and placed the order for the part.their second technician came to install the part. He replaced the part and confirmed the water leak will not happen again. When we asked to make sure the leak is completely fixed, he said , that will take 1hr and it will cost an additional 80 bucks. I was not willing to spent another 80 bucks, so i took his word.On the first washing after the repair the machine completely stopped working and the water is still leaking.i am totally upset with the quality of service they have given me.I think their technicians are not qualified to do the repair.
I purchased a KitchenAid french-door refrigerator in April of 2015. After delivery and use, frost was building up in the freezer. I scheduled a service call with Wind Service. Tech came out and determined that the door liner and seal at the bottom on the door were defective. He ordered a door, brought it to my home - unpacked it and it was damaged. He ordered another door, a couple of months later, brought it to my house - it was dented. A third door was ordered in October - it is now April 2016 and I am still waiting for a freezer door, while frost continues to build up in the freezer due to the door not sealing.I am very frustrated with both KitchenAid and Wind Service. The service tech that came to my home several times was good and courteous, but when you call the Wind Service, the staff is VERY rude and obnoxiousI will write another review once I have a new freezer door - without defects and it is installer properly. This company came to assess an issue with my oven. The service tech told us that it could be one of three issues and without replacing all three parts they have no way of knowing which one it is. I paid $125 to get a diagnosis as what was wrong. I did not receive that. When I called wind service to complain, they denied saying they didnt know which part it was and that I now need all the parts. That was NOT what was said at time of service. This company is a scam and I will be calling kitchen aid to let them know their referral did not do their job. Shame on kitchen aid for referring and Shame on wind service for being scam artists and liars.
Awful Company. Should be shut down. Came three times only to have to come back a fourth. No way to test a dryer after service!!!! Like a plumber leaving and not turning your water back on. Office people are rude abhorrent individuals. Maytag should be ashamed. NEVER EVER BUYING MAYTAG OR ANYTHING MAYTAG RELATED AGAIN.

The technicians are incompetent and just randomly choose parts to change because they are incapable of properly diagnosing an issue. My time was wasted as they kept recommending new parts for my washing machine (one of which was extremely back ordered) none of which resolved the issue. In fact, they changed a computer/control, and it literally made my washing machine worse. I can’t even put into words just how frustrating it was to wait about 2 months for them to finally come with the final part and it still didn’t fix the issue! And to top it all off, they don’t listen to customers and are either rude or indifferent to customer issues, depending on who answers the phone. I asked several times if they could put my old computer back in since the one they put in was defective and made the problem worse (I wasn’t able to do laundry AT ALL when they changed the computer). They told me it was already shipped out. A month later after a great deal of fighting and advocating for myself, I find out, it was “in the back” because it was never shipped out. Really? Why lie to a customer all this time?? Now they just put in a new motor yesterday, the 4th part they changed so far, it didn’t fix the issue. I asked him to please just put my old motor back in while he was here he said no, and he wouldn’t call his manager while he was here to ask if it was okay. Today I call them to say the machine is making a brand new grinding noise and I think it’s the new motor. I was told my old motor has been shipped out. Again with the lies!I am disgusted, with the lack of customer service as well as the lack of competence. In fact, they told me to yell at the manufacturer and get a new machine because “we’re just techs.”This is an awful company and I would not recommend. They will WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

Great Service tech (Neal)Showed up on time .Found problem. Fixed and only charged a service call fee.Another company charged me 125.00 and did nothing and told me I needed a part that cost with labor 848.00Thank God for an honest Tech from Wind..Would definitely call on WIND Service again.
Dishonesty at its best. Im not sure how Kitchen Aid can even sponsor a company like this. The technician came to my home, spent less than 5 minutes on my refrigerator, told me it was a closed system problem, not worth repair at $3500 (for a $2,000 fridge) and charged me $105. How can I argue with the technician not knowing refrigeration repair?Rather than purchasing a new fridge, like he suggested, I called Sears and got one of their sponsored technicians out. He took a look at the system, tested the board, turned it on to check the flow, determined it should be a board problem. $400 later, my fridge is back to being new.After this debacle, I checked with a family member living in this neighborhood too (1 block away) and they first contacted Kitchen Aid about this and got THE SAME COMPANY, who did THE SAME THING.I would recommend that if anyone goes to Kitchen Aids website to seek repair technicians, dont bother, and simply go elsewhere.
Technician came twice to check my dishwasher and order parts. I called the office to confirm a date that the part would come in. They have no record of needing any parts.They now told me to call Kitchenaid and request a new company. Sounds like are billing kitchenaid for visits and not doing anything.
I have a maytag contract for my laundry center. The technician came out 4 times and still could not fix the machine. This has taken over a month and they have called to cancel the appt 2xs because parts were still not in, after I took the day off to wait for them. The worst experience I have ever had with a company!
I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday between eight and 12 not only did they never show up nobody called me to notify me if they were running late or if they had to reschedule from reading the reviews online I am 100% sure that I am not going to reschedule an appointment with this service company and I am going to purchase a different dryrer. I missed a full day of work to be here to wait for them Will be calling Maytag to complain Monday morning
Horrible customer service and VERY unprofessional! They didnt have the proper equipment, in fact the tech asked to use my ladder / step stool! I tried to exsplain to him that Im not willing or comfortable assuming any liability (just in case he fell) and he instantly became aggravated and told me that I was amazing! Additionally, when asked for insurance they couldnt or wouldnt provide any insurance documentation. When I called their office I was told that the company only has 1 ladder and that their owner Howard will not allow the guys to even buy a $10 step stool to complete a job! Too be honest, they seem like a fly by night outfit! Thumbs down on Wind Service!!!!BE WARNED! ALWAYS GET THE INSURANCE!!! If they mis-wire something and burn your house down, theres little to no recourse! Its worse if they hurt themselves on your property!
Service man was patronizing and rude. He acted as though I should have known the problem with my washing machine (LOL). His manager was unhelpful and threatened to not help me unless I was patient and listened to him. Unacceptable service and attitude, hence the 2.8% overall ratings they have. Would not trust them repairing anything.

SHE IS ALSO UNDER A DOCTORS CARE AND THE VETS COME TO MY HOME...I ASKED THEM TO WAIT OUTSIDE AS MY DAUGHTER AND I SCRUBBED THE FLOORS ON HANDS AND KNEES.....I TOLD THE TECHNICIAN THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ODOR FOR A LITTLE WHILE AFTER THE CLEAN UP.......AFTER THEY CAME IN ONE GUY LEFT AND THE OTHER SAID THE AFTER SMELL BOTHERED HIM...I EXPLAINED I UNDERSTOOD THE VET SAID SHE IS NOT 100% OVER HER BLADDER INFECTION ..HE DELIBERATELY SAID TO ME ITS NOT THE DOG YOUR HOUSE SMELLS AND I SAID NO IT IS THE DOG AND HE SAID IT WAS MY OTHER PETS...PEOPLE ARE IN MY HOME ALL DAY AND IT NEVER SMELLS ..ASK MY NEIGHBORS AND VET.. Awful service and work.l I had them at my house twice to fix the same issue, and each time they could not fix it. They warranty their labor for 90 days and it was just outside of 90 days. After using them continually since 2014, Im through and using someone that can actually fix the problem
REFRIGERATOR HAS BEEN REPAIRED 4 TIMES ALREADY BY THIS COMPANY WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS - I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO USE THEM AS THEY ARE THE ONLY CERTIFIED REPAIR COMPANY ON LONG ISLAND. MY REFRIGERATOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO BE USED FOR OVER 2 MONTHS THIS TIME AND THEY DONT CARE WHATSOEVER. THE GENTLEMAN THAT CALLS TO GIVE YOU THE TIME FRAME WINDOW IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND HANGS UP ON ME WHEN I SAID THAT ITS BEEN BROKEN NOW FOR 2 MONTHS AND WOULDNT ANSWER WHEN I CALLED BACK - HE WOULD PICK UP AND NOT SAY ANYTHING AND HANG UP. 2022-02-19Quite possibly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. It started off fine, they came as a recc from whirlpool for my washer and advised what part is needed. Came back two weeks later (due to part lead time) and installed. Next day my washer still doesn’t work when I use it. They say “it has to be the control panel; all that’s left that makes sense” okay. We wait a week for the part and magically that doesn’t work! Now we need another part and it’s a 2.5 week time frame until they can come back (tech says it’s availability, office says part stock). The told me it was a part lead time the second time yet the box the part came in (watched him open it) says 7/25/21 so lies. My washer is now completely out of commission (worked but struggled before) due to their last repair since they left it completely taken apart (screws everywhere, a pan? On the floor, dirty paper towels and the control panel barely attached). I now have to pay to have my laundry done and probably just need a new washer at this point. AVOID AVOID AVOID. They are either breaking more parts to charge me more labor or they’re just that incompetent that they can’t figure out what is actually wrong.

2022-04-08- the only thing WIND service provided was watching my time and money blowing away in the WIND.took 2 weeks to get an appointment ...washer machine was not draining, repair man came said 2 weeks to order part - came back in 2 weeks - when he did repair my washer - He did put a giant scratch on the top of my dryer with his receipt note book. AND than less than 6 months later - same issue with washer. Called about the issue - not a care in the world from customer service- another 2 weeks for an appointment - fortunatley I found another service provider. Was not wasting another month of my life and another paycheck with this company.

2022-06-25Came out to repair washer for grinding noise last minute of the cycle. I have detailed examples of when it happens and took videos and said that it sometimes won’t do it if I reset the washer but that only lasts a wash or two. After waiting a week the tech said well I don’t have time to sit through a cycle (even the 20 min drain and spin), next time have it ready (they gave a 3 hour window with no notice to get it ready nor did they mention anything when we set up the appointment), and since it may not happen he cancelled the appointment and left. He did this as a “favor to me” to save $119 for the service call. I wanted him to look at the washer and he said he would not know where to begin and he was not sure about the problem. I need to call back and I guess wait another week or so when it happens “more consistently” even though it happens almost every time.I waited a week and stayed home all morning to be told not worth their time.

2022-04-08Took off of work for an appointment - got a call the day before appointment and was told window of appoint was from 2pm - 5pm . No repair man showed up- at 4:50pm (10 minutes before the business closed for the day. I received a call from the main office saying repair man was at the location and no-one was home. We were home all day waiting. No-one knocked on the door - No repair man showed up.

2020-10-27Horrible, they are an authorized repair provider for PC Richards. They have been to my house 6 times over the past 3 months for a non-working ice maker. Dave from Wind replaced one part at a time, only to have it fail a week later. I have spent hours on the phone with customer service trying to get them to just replace the unit, they refuse. Stay away from Kitchen-Aid, PC Richards, Wind service. There is either no ice, or ice on the floor.

2021-11-29Our barely 3-year-old refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling the refrigerator; the (bottom) freezer still worked fine. Sadly, we didnt have an extended warranty, but we didnt know if the issue still fell under the factory warranty, so we called Kitchenaid and it referred us to Wind as our closest authorized factory service center (and made the appointment for us). The Wind service person came as scheduled (and was masked, which we appreciated) and, sadly, informed us that while the sealed cooling system was under warranty, the problem was a failed blower fan that was *not* under warranty. Also, unfortunately, the part had to be ordered, and would not be available for installation until just after Thanksgiving. We made a follow-up appointment with the service person, and were quoted a price for the repair.Today was the date of the scheduled repair. This morning, we got a call from Wind letting us know what time the rep would arrive; he came near the beginning of the promised window. He came in to the house, quickly replaced the faulty fan, got the refrigerator working again, and left. We paid what wed been promised wed have to pay.Responsive service provider, responsible and efficient service person, got the part and installed it on the promised date, no hidden charges. Couldnt have asked for more (other than a refrigerator fan that didnt fail!).

2022-02-02What a nightmare this experience has been. Our refrigerator door needs to be replaced, and the ice maker does not work (has already been replaced 2x) Our initial visit was on 9/13/20. We were told the parts needed to be ordered and would take 6-8 weeks. At the 8 week mark, I followed up for an update. I was told that it would be an additional 4 weeks. At the 4 week mark, I again called for an update & was told to give it another 2-3 weeks but that it should be in by the end of the year. Called again in January and was told now that it would be 20 weeks. We are now past that mark also, and when calling I am told there is no update and they have no way of knowing when parts will come in since they do not get tracking info. The broken door is now damaging the bottom freezer drawer. By the time this part gets here, we are going to need to replace the whole thing. BEYOND Frustrated.

What I do know is that I DID just have Dave from Wind Service Inc., in my home repairing a kitchen aid dishwasher.He was outstanding! Courteous and kind, an absolute pleasure to have in our home. Furthermore he was early 👍, extremely knowledgeable 👍, and left me quite confident that the issue was resolved. Thank you again Dave! I just might break something else to have you over again!
