Stopped in to listen to a friend play live music. Great atmosphere, very cozy. Draft beer was ice cold and the food was delicious. Great service as well.
Went for dinner. We were hoping to have a really great view but, there was a clear plastic cover thing around the outside area that obstructed the view. So we sat inside. Bummer. Music that was playing was melancholy and low.. Food was good service was good. Overall the place seems a little dated and could use a refresh. Maybe the ambiance is better during the day..
Windows on the bay is like the 1000 islands region. Its the land that time forgot. The signage and online presence is poor. Its very hard to find information. Is it windows on the bay or is it Holland street bistro???Who can tell apparently it has flipped several times. If you happen to guess what hotel it is located in and call you probably wont get an answer.Now the food. It is priced similar to the other restaurants in the area which is to say entrees are $23-33. This would be fine if you were at a nice restaurant on vacation. Windows, like everything in Alexandria bay, is dated. Everything looks like its last been updated sometime in the 80s. The food is frozen and you could easily make it at home for half the price.The one exception was the clam chowder which was delicious. They also spice up olive oil in house as an addition for your bread. Past that there is nothing special happening here.
Server was friendly but not experienced. Service was slow at best adult meals arrived 15 minutes before the kids and all were ordered at the same time. Gorgeous view. Food ok.
Just ordered a salad with shrimp, salad old n not fresh, poorly presented with 3 small shrimp on a stick, will not try the dinner or breakfast. No stars awarded except for the server who clearly understood my complaint. No stars awarded except a nice view of the boats.
The best breakfast I ever had in Alexandria Bay! I had Stuffed French Toast, a combination of my best choices of French toast, sweet creamy cheese, whipped cream! Yum Yum! One of the best view points of the Bay to sit and have your BF! I will definitely go there again!

2022-06-30Excellent dining experience for someone seeking relaxation and leisure. Great position to view the sunset over the castle and river. I ordered the calamari, Ribeye and Chicken Parm. Calamari needs work to be more crispy. Ribeye was good, cooked perfectly but could use more salt, Mash patato could use more flavor but portion size was excellent. Chicken was cooked perfectly, tender in the inside and crispy on the outside , and pasta was creamy and delicious. Sparkling wine was refreshing. In all and all this place deserves a 5 star, as the view was beutiful which sets up for an excellent dining experience. Staff is friendly, however this place needs more staff.

2022-02-23Wonderful Mothers day Brunch Buffet!! Was a yearly ritual with pictures of the kids on the dock with the castle in the background when they were younger. Always a great experience!

2019-07-19We chose this place based on the fact that not much was open in mid-May and it sounded like it would be a great view. We were the only ones in for lunch at 12:30p. The room is very big and like a hotel banquet room and is located in a hotel. We could not really see the view due to plastic on windows and the service was slow and the food was cold. My friend ordered calamari and she said it tasted frozen and out of a box. She didnt eat it or complain. My salad was not fresh. The men liked their burgers ok they said. They are not picky. Hopefully it is different in season.

2019-10-19Quiet atmosphere. Delicious food. Great view.Dining room could use some updating. Wait staff brought wrong bottle of beer (after waiting 10 minutes), then forgot to bring remainder of meal to take home- disposed of. Off season, so limited menu (1 page).

2020-06-28We ate breakfast and dinner during our stay at the resort. The home fries were full of grease. The dining room is a bit run down.Dinner was underwhelming. My husband had the huge sea scallops, but he said the dish itself was flavorless. I had the Mediterranean Seafood Pasta with shrimp and artichokes. The bowl was full of sour lemon juice and pretty sure all of the marinade from the artichokes. I ate the shrimp and walked away.The resort is an excellent place to stay; however, it shouldnt be your first place to eat in Alex Bay. Many other fine eateries in town.

2020-10-16So hopeful when I saw all the reviews on TripAdvisor but this was over priced & over promised & WAY under delivered. We ordered fire chicken onion soup, broccoli cheddar soup, broiled haddock & chicken hasselback. We were told 20 minutes for pick up & it took 1 hour, the haddock & French onion were hot & tasty. But the chicken thigh (that’s all I got!) was barely warm, covered w/a glop of cheese - no spinach to be found. Both orders had rice and veg that were cold!Never again!
