Ordered 2 windows in November at the time the sales rep told me there was a 3 month backlog on manufacturing and installation. This would put the installation time frame to early February. I called today and the windows are still at the manufacturer and could be ready late April or early May 3 months longer than what was originally agreed upon. If I would have known it was going to be 6 months I would have found an alternate solution. Also the rep has sent me multiple change orders. These change orders were not requested by me and I assume due to errors on their part.
The team from Wonder Windows replaced a large bow window in my livingroom. The team was very professional and made great recommendations. They stand behind their product and address any concerns promptly. I love my new window. Thank you.
I called Wonder Windows to replace my front door. One of their representatives came to our home, sat with my wife and I and helped us find the best door for us. The installation went well, the final finish was perfect and we are absolutely impressed with everything about them. Even our neighbors cant stop complimenting the door. Called to have my front windows replaced, 10 in total. The service wast fast, the sales staff was great and to finished product looks fantastic. I went for a 6 lite design instead of the plain window and it looks amazing! Everyone compliments the new look. They also installed new shutters. The front of the house looks like a differnt home. Thank you, I will definitely recommend Wonder Windows to everyone.
Had my back door replaced and storm door replaced by Scott Peace he is a professional and he took great care of my home. The owner was helpful and the fact that he spoke to me was really cool. The product looks great. Scotts took his time did not rush the job and was a really cool to talk about every thing he called me back every time and was there in till the job was done. Scott Peace was great and helped me find the perfect door. Ill be calling him back when we get our window s done. Thanks Scott
It took 15 weeks for me to get 2 small windows for my kitchen. My initial appointment Dave told me it would be about 4 weeks, but I figured 6 was a reasonable amount of time. One of the Windows was ordered incorrectly so I had to take additional time off work for them to come back to install the correct window which was 15 weeks from when I ordered them. I will never use nor would I recommend Wonder Windows to anyone - I figured the company name is because you wonder when they will actually be installed!
We are so pleased with our 11 new windows. The 2 young men from Wonder Windows did a fantastic job in a very timely fashion. They were respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient. Our windows look great and everyone who has come comments on how nice they appear. Thanks to Tom and Kitt!! Alden, NY
We have a stucco house and when we decided to have it redone we decided to close up the back door and turn a set of windows into a sliding glass door that would lead to a future deck. The installation team showed up when expected and stayed until complete. I think opening up that window and installing the door was more than they expected but they never complained and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a a professional installation with quality products. Did I mention how much I love the door? Guests comment on how smooth the door and especially the screen glide. Just today my cat got caught outside and wanted to get in and climbed the screen. I let her in and looked for what the damage might be and there was absolutely none, I highly recommend the pet screen.
I had four companies come and give me quotes for windows for my entire house. After researching each of the windows the different companies were selling, and looking at their warranties, it was clear Wonder Windows was the best. Their prices weren’t the cheapest, but they were a good value for the quality that they offered, and they weren’t that much outside of the price range of the other companies.They also WERE NOT PUSHY AT ALL, unlike two of the other companies who tried to use pressure tactics. They installed the windows from the outside, so the inside of my house didn’t need any work afterwards, and they left behind no mess. I wasn’t home when they installed the windows, but they did an excellent job. I’ve already recommended them to three different friends.
I have a very old (pre 1900) house which is quite settled and difficult to fit. Wonder Windows fit 5 doors ( including 3 screen doors and 2 main entry doors) very accurately. They also installed two back windows, cutting for a complete new window. They also had to enlarge the opening right next to this one to accommodate the matching new window.I am thrilled with their work and the wonderful light flooding my space!
I ordered 9 replacement windows and a door in May. The job was finished in January, possibly Frdurary, I font recall. The installer was unable to bring all of the needed supplies on 3 of his 4 days of work, stating the wear house was empty. Im talking window insulation, quarter round and window trim. Once the windows were installed a second crew installed the exterior trim. They completed 7 of the 9 windows in one day and didnt come back to complete the job. W. W. also installed the wrong sliding door. After an evening of steady rain water came in around a window frame. I complained and from that point on I worked directly with the companys Vice President. He assured me it was not possible that their wear house ran out of building materials and assured me the job would be completed. He and his crew were at my house at 8am the following week to complete the job, however the window trim guy could not start work till nearly noon because the company had to locate a ladder that would reach a 2nd floor window.To their credit, the job was completed, my windows dont leak and I got the door I ordered.If I had to do it again Id buy my windows at Lowes and install them myself. It would have been easier, quicker and far less expensive.I just noticed the heading of this review is incorrect. I was working with Wonder Windows Rochester, not Buffalo. Too funny; even the review they asked me to complete is incorrect.
We recently had Wonder Windows replace all the windows in our sunroom. We had a large picture window at one end that we wanted to replace entirely, but we weren’t sure what kind of windows to put in. We had been thinking of a bay window. Mark came up with an interesting and cost effective idea to put in a sliding patio door. We now have another entrance to our backyard that we didn’t have before and lots of sunlight in the room. In doing the job, they had to do some extra carpentry and electric work that they were also able to take care of. I was glad we didn’t have to get extra workers, and that they could take care of everything.
Exemplary customer service, products arrived on time or ahead of schedule. No sales pressure at all. Installation took only 1 1/2 days, and the installers double- and triple-checked each other every step of the way. The windows have enabled significant utility cost savings for both gas and electric over our past winter and now into A/C season. You can check the other window companies, or not even bother, because you’ll wind up with Wonder Windows and you’ll be 110% satisfied as I am.
I did not want to replace any windows in this old house, but when it was decided that cardboard and plastic wrap was no longer acceptable, I called Wonder Windows, and Im glad I did! From start to finish, it was perfect. Sales, Installer , and quality Anderson windows. I had the attic , large slider and a basement window replaced. Price was amazing, and you folks are absolute professionals. I do and will continue to reccomend Wonder Windows . Thank You again

We had to wait 18weeks to receive our custom made windows to come in. When they were installed I lost at least 3 inches of window. Custom made was a joke. To add insult to injury, they were the most expensive of the three other manufactures we checked. I get angry every time I look at my new windows. I would not recommend them.
If I could give zero stars I would. Booked installation in July took 50% cash in July promised installation in sept then oct then dec used covid as excuse not until Jan for installation. No response finally called and get Sarah who said next appt avail tomarrow 3/12 or not until may 7No accommodation waiting and having our money since JULY!!!!!!! Had to take off work next day for installation almost a year before installation. Sarah was rude and unaccommodating even since waiting for almost a year for service!!!I have never experienced such unwavering total disregard for customer Service! I will tell everyone we know Not to Give WW any business they don’t care about their customers oncevthey got money. If we didn’t keep at them they never would of full filed contract and installed any windows.
The new windows look great! We replaced our old windows with new ones through out our home. The best part is that all of the windows now open smoothly and actually stay in place when we open them up. Very professional and talented team of workers. You can tell that they take pride in their work.
Mark really knows windows. my kitchen was being remodeled and i needed 2 windows and 1 door. each window needed different opening methods because of their placement . he also suggested they not have a center piece. i now look out one clear pane of glass and it makes the windows seem so much bigger. the door is a lovely wedge-wood blue on the exterior and white on the interior side and is a fabulous tight door in our northeastern climate. the new windows and door have really made a huge difference in the new kitchen.
I had a 10am phone appt. Did not get a call after 15 minutes I received an email from rep saying he tried to call and number was disconnected and to call him or email back with my phone number. However he did not leave his phone number on email. Had I not checked my email while waiting, I would not have known why delay. I emailed him my number right away, no call back. I called Wonder Windows and they. gave me number. We connected. The phone number he had was not even remotely close to my number. While discussing my window needs, I told him I needed to porch windows and a bathroom window replaced and that I wanted the least expensive window as it is for my 90 year old mothers house and they were just back porch windows. He said he did not see a porch on his google photo I said it is in back. I gave him the measurements and photos he requested.He called asking if they were wood or aluminum. The pictures were clear as a bell showing aluminum and screws.When he emailed the estimate, the first email was for triple panes costing $2800 WITH the senior discount! (Full price of $5500!)I called and he said he sent another estimate for the less expensive which was $1888 with the senior discount.I said no to the offer as I had quotes for less. Of course the sales pitch of how quality their windows are.... I said again it is for my 90 year old mothers house and the house is old. He said yes I see it is painted a mustard yellow. I said ?what, her house is red! He said his pic is yellow. Obviously he had the wrong house as well as phone number!I checked my original email confirming my appt and it had the correct address and phone number.Very frustrating and a huge waste of my time!If that is how they run business, no thx. I would not recommend Wonder Windows.
The price was not the cheapest - but was very close - however the few places who quoted lower price were not as responsive - were not as knowledgeable about the types of Windows and not as reputable - my experience was so great - they are coming back out later this month to install a door and large front window on our home - we are customers for life and strongly recommend anyone not sure what you need - not sure of different window brands and products to let these guide you through the process - you will be extremely happy with their service and professionalism.ThanksThe DickmansBuffalo, New York

Great company and great prices. They installed a coup[le windows for us. After evaluating the other local windows companies we deceided to go with Wonder Windows. They did a wonderful job and I will be using them when we are ready to do the other windows in the house.

I had an appointment for a salesman to come to my home to show me windows. I got a call that morning and they said they dont travel to buffalo on weekends and told me to come into the office during the week. I got there during the week and they were closed at 3 PM. I called the number and they said that their hours vary on traffic in and out of their office. They were supposed to be open until 430 or 5 based on their website. The employee on the phone told me that she could book me to have someone come.over to my house between 9-2 the following week. When I told her I would be working I was asked to take off work for a day. Needless to say, I went to a competitor whos hours were correct the next day and purchased my windows. Very poor organization there and Ill never use them in the future. Glad I dodged that bullet.
Work was scheduled in the middle of june. said it would take 3 days ...work was done poorly. front storm door was installed upside down so they had to order a new one. no deadbolts or handles for doors so they had to go to home depot and buy them deadbolts didn’t line up so they didn’t work. caulking job was HORRIBLE on the outside.another gentleman came back after 2 were there for 3 days. he agreed they did a horrible job and that a lot should have been done a certain way and it wasn’t. he wrote it all down and said they’d be talked to on monday. he agreed he’d come back and do it just ask specifically for him.they didn’t return our phone call for over a week. we had to keep calling them. now the works scheduled for 2 more days !!! so a total of 6 days that we were told 3 for !! july 30 & 31.at least this guy seems to take pride in his work so we’ll see how he does. and hope no one else has to come back.very frustrating when you spend almost $10,000
Didnt call when for install date when our windows came in. Our install was canx without a call on that date. Moved me to bottom of the list for next install date. Theyll probably canx. Customer Service... dont expect any.
We had 21 windows replaced on our 1930s house. The entire job was done in 2 days and looks fantastic.
Staff replaced 8 windows & 1 picture window in a day & 1/2. All finishing inside & outside plus cleanup done quickly & prfessionally.
They were quick to respond. The quality of the work was excellent. Very courteous and professional. I would recommend and use again.

2021-12-14Hi everyone! I’m not normally one to complain but I did want to raise issue with this company if you’re looking for a company to work with for your windows. I’d like to be transparent and share my experience. Especially, because it is hard for homeowners to find contractors and prices can vary by a lot and I think it’s important for people to share this. I called out three companies to look at replacing a small bathroom window (31 in. X 17 in.) I have with a very basic window.. either sliding or awning. I called wonder windows, window world and HMS home services out of Hamburg. Wonder windows quote was $1420.00 with a discount of $426 bringing the price to $996. (Found it odd there was such a large discount right off the bat?) then window world came in at $580. And then HMS home services $150 labor and I was able to buy the window myself from Home Depot myself. I chose the American craftsman for $99. What I liked is how transparent HMS was .. they just charged the labor. I’m not coming on here to try and redirect others to other businesses. The point is to raise awareness about doing research and sharing information so others can make a decision that is best for them and their family. At the end of the day I spent $250 total for the window replacement as opposed to $1420 or $996. Could you imagine if I replaced all the windows in my house the cost? Anyways, that is all! I hope this helps people as they’re making a decision about working with contractors. Transparency and honesty is very important.

2021-09-29Wonder windows was amazing every step of the way!! Our back door was in horrible condition (not a normal fix) and we needed custom sized doors. They were so reasonably priced and even though there was a long wait due to production being back up due to covid, they made sure to communicate any updates on when the doors would be in and when they would be able to install. Two guys both named John came and did the installation and they were amazing. Super friendly, explained everything and went above and beyond to make sure everything looked good! 100% worth the wait!! I will be recommending wonder windows to everyone!!

2021-07-15We have been replacing our windows over the last ten years. We have had estimates from many companies, including demonstrations. We ended up using three different companies over the years. Our most recent purchase and install was from Wonder Windows. We had five house windows and two garage windows installed. The price was reasonable compared to the other windows we had done and the quality was excellent. Due to covid there was a delay on the install, but they called us at least twice to keep us up to date on the time line. The install crew was excellent. The company had told us it might take a day and a half. It took only a few hours. The crew was experienced, cordial, and professional. They answered our questions and did a terrific job! I wish we would have had Wonder windows ten years ago. Thank you.

2021-12-16We ordered new windows from this company and they were wonderful! From the quote to the installation, the customer service was just fantastic. We expected delays due to the supply shortage and they were very communicative with us. And the guys who installed them were so courteous. I highly recommend them for window replacement/installation!

2020-08-27We used wonder windows to order and instal 21 windows on our house built in 1930, which still had the original windows. We got a bit of a rough start, the installation started a day late, but they explained the situation to us and it was understandable. We got some specialty windows (a bunch were triple-paned, some were opaqued with texture, and a large picture window). The installation process was amazing. Instead of getting it done in three days, they were determined to get it done in two. The guys that worked at our house were very friendly and professional. Paul (from Rochester) specifically went above and beyond, and showed that they truly care about the quality and look of the final product. I’m particularly impressed by the trim, the indoor trim matched the 1930 stained window molding perfectly. The windows look great, the house feels great, and this was worth every cent.

2020-02-25The Buffalo sales person from Wonder Windows explained that the estimate was comprised of 30% materials25% markup, and 45% labor (this was after a discount). The labor budget allotted for 108 hours to be used for the install purposes which made sense to for a completely finished product, but that was not delivered.The install itself of 13 windows and a storm door was comprised of 2 people for 3 six hour days, then due to the company’s errors a second install was performed of 2 people for one 4 hour day. There were an additional two hours spent in other work such as measuring and some error corrections. The total hours spent on the project was 30 person hours out of the 108 hours originally budgeted for the project. This means a total project overcharge of 33%.A 30% upcharge is acceptable for a close to perfect finished product and experience, however these are the factors that go into dissatisfaction:•The project was promised to be performed within 45 days and was not “finished” until 8 months later•The trim and bay window was promised to be white and finished, the result is unfinished with caulk everywhere•The newly installed Okna windows form ice on them and some are drafty•The slide window that was installed is extremely difficult to open•The storm door was installed upside down which causes it to not function as it was intended. A field fix was performed which switched the panels on the storm door which allowed it to function, but the track is still upside down.TL;DR – Poor service, poor product quality for the price, and unwilling to take ownership of what the sales person promised.

2021-12-10We used Wonder Windows and it was an awesome experience. They were very professional and not pushy at all when they came out for an estimate. We will definitely use them again. They did warn us when we signed up in April that we would not get our window installed until fall time so they were very upfront about that and the whole summer they were contacting us to let us know that our window didn’t come in yet and they’re still working on an estimate and timeframe and that’s something I really love that they always kept in touch I was never left wondering if the window came in yet and then when it was time for installation they called and said the day and time of they came out they did the job they were very nice very polite very professional they cared about my house and not getting it dirty with going in and out and they were done in a very reasonable time . I highly recommend them!

2020-02-26Great company to work with. Had a smashed window that had to be covered with plastic and cardboard 😓 But the rep came out didnt mind going three floors up just to look at one window. Gave me an amazing rock bottom price and was super nice to work with. Cant recommend enough fast turn around time and friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone that wants there home to look beautiful.

2021-06-09Installers were excellent, professional, informative and great craftsmanship. Only negative is the time it took COVID19 to get scheduled and the sales rep was less than informative with no follow up after the deposit. However, with 25 years in the construction industry and I would say installers and the product are top notch.

2020-05-27The price was reasonable vs. other companies that gave me estimates. The gentleman doing the work were pleasant and always answered my questions with a smile. I had 17 windows and a patio door installed a few years ago. They did such a great job that I had them install all windows and two doors in my garage last summer. Hats off to them-solid efficient job done
